We visited today for the first time. Darling setting and great place right off the road. Too bad the numerous days of heat have damaged all the planning and hard work. We were still able to hand pick some raspberries, strawberries, and apples. We also got corn and jars of pickled green beans which were a hit. I’m sure weeks ago the sunflowers were amazing but the heat has baked the sunflower circle maze. You can still get a bouquet and capture beautiful photos of dried blooms. They also have pumpkins and gourds for fall decorating. We’ll be sure to come back earlier in the summer next time.

Google
Summerset farms, it was a HOT one! We must appreciate the farmers that farm our lands, the conditions they have to deal with like the heat wave this week can be unbearable for some. The land and plants looked dry since it was so hot they probably couldn’t get enough water even if they were drenched with the H2O. We still were able ro find some sweet blackberrys to pick that were sweet and juicy, hope this heat dyes down a little so the fruit wont dry out!

Google
Summerset Express! What a simple fun way to support a local grower and family! They were so nice, they gave us a mini lesson on pumpkins and then for a nominal price sent us home with education, a pumpkin, gourmand and a delicious apple!

Google
Gorgeous farm and yummy produce. Don't think I have ever seen such large onions, would totally recommend stopping by if you are driving through and looking for some fresh, local produce!

Brooke “Brooke”

Google
Fantastic U-Pick! Decent prices with a great selection! Peaches, Plums, Apples, Grapes, Raspberries, Blackberries, Strawberries, Apricots, and Sunflowers. Would return!

Google
Very pretty! We just got a little lost along the way, but being surrounded by all those flowers was a joy! You could easily spend at least an hour there.

Google
This place was awesome, my daughter loved riding her bike every morning to see the horses.Ted was super nice, we got there in the middle of the night and he came out to help us get situated in a good spot.the raspberries and strawberries were so good. We will be visiting here again.

Yelp
Whenever in Santa Ynez we stop by to get honey or fresh produce from this farm stand. They also have eggs and jams etc .... Some days more and some less. I especially love the local honey they sell. It's delicious. The farm is beautiful, customer service is friendly. Love supporting small local farms everywhere I go. If you pass by it stop by and check it out. Lots of parking up front.

Yelp
As a fruit stand I would likely recommend Cute as a pumpkin patch but not a whole lot for kids. Maze is $10 six and over.

Yelp
We passed by Summerset Farm on our way to Lake Cachuma on Thursday, so on Saturday when the weather wasn't great we decided to take a quick drive to check it out. We were a little late for summer fruit & a little early for fall, but we did pick a few ripe raspberries to sample, picked up a bag of apples, and a pint of strawberries. We also took home a couple different types/flavors of garlic, organic popping corn, shallots, chutney & some cookies! The apples we picked ourselves, which was fun, and I really want to come back next summer to pick raspberries! The service was terrific & it was nice to have a brief conversation with the gal working there! Will definitely be back!!

Yelp
Best farm in the Valley! Always love coming to Summerset. It's conveniently located off the 154 and always has wonderfully crafted and home grown goods. Between the farm stand, berry and flower picking, and seasonal festivities like corn mazes and pumpkin patches, theres something there for all ages! Sally, who runs the stand, is always welcoming and offers great conversation. The jam she makes is to DIE for! Everything sold is craft, homemade, and extremely high quality. Go to Summerset! You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Cute little farm close to Santa Ynez. The lady that was working the farm was friendly and helpful. She told us that due to the season being almost over, there weren't that many raspberries but we could help ourselves to anything that we managed to pick. Strawberries, raspberries, grapes, even apples if we could get at them. We did get a pint of strawberries and raspberries that ended up being super sweet. We also bought some plums and corn that were available at the store, and they were absolutely delicious! I was sorry I hadn't bought more when we tasted them later on. She told us to try to come by July to mid August for best berry picking time. Too late this year, but mental note for next year. Lots of cute background for instagram worthy pics. Also dog friendly!

Jill M.

Yelp
The fruit and veggies are so good. They have the nicest service with helpful information. The little shop is full of wonderful local goods. So many little things to explore and discover. I like to bring my sketchbook when I go. So many picturesque spots.

Chloe W.

Yelp
Delicious jams, well stocked farm stand. Sally is very welcoming and makes the best jams!

Emily F.

Yelp
Such a cute and small pumpkin patch in Los Olivos! Lots of different sizes and styles of pumpkins and tons of fun photo opportunities. The prices are great and we ended up getting several pumpkins of different sizes for under $15! Overall a fun fall activity that isn't too crowded which makes social distancing much easier than some of the larger more crowded options. We had a great time and will be back in the future!

Yelp
A lovely, kids-friendly farm with fresh and delicious veggies for family. Call them in advance to know what they have now and enjoy your day there.

Yelp
We've stayed here twice through HipCamp, and while I know people have said it's too close to the road and noisy, I didn't find that to be the case. Sure there are cars that roll by, but it's not bad at all. There is room enough for a few camp sites, and one time we actually hung out with some other campers that were staying at the farm. Super fun. There's a little gazebo perfect for a hammock and areas to grill. The people that run the farm are very nice. We got a tour of the grounds and even got to go into the goat pen and play with the friendly goats. The lady that was at the farm store encouraged us to pick berries and such. We even picked some squash and onions to add to our camp chili one night. The location is perfect. Across the road from a great winery and close to many others. I'd suggest roaming from Solvang to Los Olivos and hitting several wineries in between. Maybe even rent a bike and ride it! I'm hoping we can come back this summer! (although I haven't been able to find it on HipCamp the last time I looked) ...

Yelp
This was such a wonderful place. My toddlers had so much fun picking raspberries, blackberries, and strawberries. The berries were very sweet and price was reasonable. It was one of our favorite activities during our trip in the area.

Cassandra N.

Yelp
Went to the farm on August 4- beautiful sunny day, not too crowded, lots and lots of raspberries to be picked! They pop right off the plant and are sweet and delicious! We bought a carton as well as two huge (HUGE) onions. Google maps took us to the wrong gate (found out that was the owner's place), but it's just around the corner from that. They still have sunflowers in bloom, as well as a cute grapevine terrace and some corn! The stand are has a nice variety of produce to choose from, and the prices are decent. We'll have to come back when other fruits are in season because we're very happy with the quality of the fruit we got!

Vivien A.

Yelp
Fabulous roadside farm with fresh fruit picking in their fields, friendly help and lots of homegrown local products. Such a pleasant experience and not over priced to take advantage of tourists!!!

Yelp
I had planned on going to nut and berry farm that was supposedly open on a Saturday, but that was a lie after arriving so I was glad to drive by this "pick your own raspberry" farm. Little did my friend and I know, there's also a huge sunflower patch that's massive and just stunning to take pictures with in the summer. The raspberries were very sweet and the owner told us we could fill a basket for just $7 and also feel free to eat some of the ones you pick, which we happily partake in. We had so much fun, although being in the sun after an hour kinda wiped us out so we had to wrap things up. After we brought in our baskets of FRESHLY PICKED raspberries, we perused the merch they had for sale. Canned pickles, asparagus, carrots, and all kinds of berry jellies stood out to me. Then there's scented soaps, kid's aprons, and other unique Solvang gift items. I ended up getting the pickled bread and butter pickles, raspberry jam, and a couple of different soap bars. All were gifts for friends and colleagues. It was sucha mellow activity, yet it gave us tons of serotonin to be outside and putting in a little "work" to indulge in the fresh berries later. Highly recommend this place if you want to do something other than eating out and wineries!

Yelp
Raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, sunflowers and so much more. This is an authentic farm stand. We went raspberry picking mid July and it was amazing. So easy to pick because the bushes were plentiful and perfectly ripened. The setting was out of a movie - antique wagons, barrels, benches.... The farm stand was surrounded by fields of sunflowers. A beautiful grape arbor led you to the berry fields. If you don't want to pick, you can buy perfect produce and products here. One note is that the gps will take you to a house, the farm stand is one driveway further on the main road. The lady at the stand was so nice and welcoming. I can't wait to go back!!!

Cassie C.

Yelp
I stayed here with Hip Camp for a night - wouldn't recommend that bit because of the car noise from the highway that lasted all through the night. Next time I visit this area of California I'll probably opt to stay in the town of Solvang. That said, the farm itself was a beautiful space. Grapes trellised everywhere, a small strawberry patch under shade, an apple orchard coming to life, as well as rows and rows of raspberries & sunflowers. This was my first time visiting a u-pick farm; I was happy that they pretty much let you wander around and explore! Unfortunately raspberries were nearly done producing by Sept of this year, so we weren't able to pick any - but this seems like a super popular activity at this farm during the summers. I think I visited during a shoulder season - pumpkins and apples weren't quite ready to be displayed, raspberries had just begun to die off. Recommend visiting in either August or October - that was my mistake! I went home with two bottles of jam and a bag full of onions. The onions were massive, but priced a little higher than I'd expected so Sally gave me a discount. I'm glad - they are quite juicy! I'll be back next summer, but will time my visit better to check out the berries or the apples.

Dana R.

Yelp
Cute farm with lots of great photo ops! We went there with our 2 young sons on our way back from Solvang. The kids had a blast, and the lady working there (the owner?) was very friendly and helped guide our experience. Would definitely return!

Sarena C.

Yelp
Cute little place! Went berry picking with my 1 year old. The blackberries were low, so it was perfect for her. Went late July and it was hard to find strawberries, but plenty of blackberries. I would recommend going when they first open. It as hot when we went at noon. They also have a $10 credit card minimum. And to pick blackberries it was $8. So I had to get more stuff to use my card. Aside from that, great experience.

Susan A.

Yelp
Amazing place. I recommend visiting. However, older gray haired lady was a bit unwelcoming. I was truly interested in the different varieties of honey so when I asked questions, it was like pulling teeth and her annoyance over my interest was real obvious. Would it hurt her to be friendly and kind? So I give you four stars. Five stars for the place itself.

Korinn L.

Yelp
Great socially-distant fun picking raspberries and exploring a small section of the farm. The woman who runs the stand was really friendly and had great tips for berry picking. We came right after a mid-Sept heat wave, so all the blackberries were toast, and there were hardly any raspberries, but I found enough to fill a basket full of ripe ones! My husband and I were the only ones there at 9:30am on a Friday morning. Berry season can go from June to October, but after a heat wave, it apparently wipes out a lot of the berries, which can regrow if the weather is cooler the next week. The bushes are a little thorny (just enough to scratch but not enough to puncture), but I don't know if gloves would help or just get caught in the thorns? Walked away with a few scratches but chalked it up to part of the unique experience. Very dog friendly! Our small doggy was able to sniff all the bushes as he tagged along behind us (leashed of course). Overall great experience, friendly staff, will definitely be back next time we're in Solvang.

Cassandra Y.

Yelp
We found this U-Pick Farm online and also on Facebook. The farm is very easy to find, right on Baseline Ave & Edison. The front of the farm is setup as farmer's market, selling all the fresh vegetables & fruits right from the farm which is only steps away!! They also let customers pick fresh fruits. Now it is berry & apple season. We have so much fun, picking raspberry, blackberry & apple ourselves!! It is such a fun experience picking fresh fruits right from the trees. The freshest we could ever ask for~ It is definitely a fun family activity. Thank you Sally for sharing the farm history and gardening information with us. It is a day that we will always cherish.

Annemarie B.

Yelp
My kids and I had such a great time at Summerset Farm. We picked raspberries and blackberries galore, walked through the sunflower "maze" and played on the tractor too! I grabbed a few enormous onions while checking out as well. Another reviewer mentioned to wear closed toe shoes, which was a helpful tip! Also, wear a hat!

Marsubi I.

Yelp
This is actually a small farm stand and not a farmer's market. That being said it is a great place to pick berries and see sunflowers. We were there a little late in the day but there seemed to be a nice assortment of onions and garlic varieties. There were remnants of what must have been nice fresh corn and squash. Will try to be early birds next time.

Olga C.

Yelp
Great little farm to take your little ones to. Very well maintained grounds with friendly staff. We went here with family, including two 3-year olds. Kids had fun, and so did their parents and grandparents. The owner was very welcoming and easygoing. Come get as many baskets as you want, pick and sample your berries (they practice organic farming), pay when you leave - $6 per basket. If you are heading here in the summer, bring a hat, sunscreen and lots of water. It gets very hot out in the field. Overall, fun hour or so teaching kids about where their berries come from.

Selene G.

Yelp
Loved this hidden little farm! I had driven by one day when I was heading up to SF and it caught my eye. However, I wasn't able to stop by. One day me and my boyfriend decided to take a road trip to Solvang and I had remembered about this hidden little farm. Such a cute little farm, you can pick your own strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, peaches, and cut your own sunflowers! The workers are extremely nice and friendly she didn't even charge me for the basket of berries I picked! Definitely stop by! Ohhh and try their homemade raspberry jam it's delicious!!

Jessica O.

Yelp
I wish I could have given this review 5 stars because the farm is absolutely beautiful and they have a lot of little activities for the kids to do. I drove down here Because we usually go to avila barn since we live in arroyo grande, but my kids wanted to try something different. When we got there it was pretty empty which I was so exited about because it wasn't over crowded like avila. We first looked around their gift shop they have cute wagons you can take out to pick your pumpkins in! When I asked the lady working what other activities they had to offer (since they did not have a sign advertising them like avila or other places have) she acted like she was irritated that I even asked. She said walk around and look.. we saw that they had a train and we asked if they had rides and she said she didn't know. So we ended up walking around the farm which again it's supper cute, and we ended stoping at the bounce house when we turn around and we see the lady accommodating a family into a train ride! My kids were so disappointed my son walked over and asked her if what time were they going to have another train ride available and she said she didn't know!! It really sucked that we drove so far away to experience a new farm and the customer service killed it for us. I would have bought things from the gift shop since it's so cute but I don't believe in supporting places that do not give at least decent customer service. We ended putting our pumpkins back which the kids left pretty bummed out. It really hurt to see that my family was treated that way after seeing all the great reviews on here! I will say I captured some amazing pictures!!!

Helen P.

Yelp
loved my experience here ! was my very first time visiting summer set farm and had the sweetest time there and loved picking my blackberries and the fresh blue berry jam is delicious!!! Loved it here

Alma L.

Yelp
Love coming to this place. The staff is super friendly and the sunflowers are amazingly beautiful

Madelyn S.

Yelp
This place is so awesome. They have mainly blackberries and raspberries. They also have honey. Make sure to wear closed toed shoes as i got a lot of thorns stuck in my foot.

Alexandra M.

Yelp
Super cute date idea staff was super nice! They gave us a train ride even though it was only us and we were adults

Nadine K.

Yelp
The people that work there are super nice and friendly. The fruit picking was fun for the kids and they encourage you to "eat and pick". They also have a cute little farm stand for you to purchase already picked and/or other fresh veggies and jams. I would definitely do this again. Don't let the closed gate discourage you. Google took us to their private gate and it was locked. We drove around the bend and there they were with a stand and all.

Mandana B.

Yelp
Adorable spot to pick your pumpkins!! Perfect setting, really couldn't ask for more from a pumpkin patch!

Kaitlyn D.

Yelp
Such a fun place! We picked blackberries and raspberries and bought some of the best strawberries and tomatoes I've ever had! Owned by a really kind couple. And dog friendly! They have pumpkins too.

Nat C.

Yelp
So on our way back from wine tasting with the fiancé we found on Yelp this organic farm to get some fresh picked berries like we usually do on our road trips. This place is located away from the main road and is a little of a detour that you can take before you hit Santa Barbara when traveling south. We were greeted by a super nice couple that handed us little baskets to start our picking and they made sure to tell us "remember you pick 1 berry and you should eat 2 berries ;)" We manage to have lots of fun picking out berries even thought it was late in the picking season the warm weather brought plenty of those yummy ones. We also got lucky and spotted an eagle who I guess also wanted some fresh berries. Great experience and wish this place was closer to home to visit more often. Plenty of parking, friendly costumer service, lots of seasonal fruits to pick.

Pass L.

Yelp
Wonderful experience picking raspberries with the family. Tons of fruit to pick, and super friendly owners. Also some beautiful produce available to purchase at the stand.

Taylor H.

Yelp
What a gem of a farm! Delicious and abundant raspberries and blackberries are the highlight. Everyone is super friendly and there is plenty of room to frolic in the fields. All their available produce I have tried is excellent.

Adriana G.

Yelp
Was driving down the road and noticed there was a sign that said pick your own berries. There was lots to see . there's the pumpkin patch they have a little train that I guess kids can ride in. but of course there was nobody there so I don't think it was up and running . we didn't get a chance to pick her own berries we can figure out where to get anything but they do have lots of things to see and they have a jumpy house for children. They have this pathway with lots of vines , absolutely beautiful. They have lots of sunflowers planted . Definitely worth stopping in taking a look.

Kris L.

Yelp
We love stoping by here everytime we go to Santa Barbara! Really nice people and beautiful farm

Claudia J.

Yelp
My girls had sooo much fun!!! $5.00 for either a raspberry or blackberry basket and $3.50 for a basket of strawberries. The people there are very friendly. Can't wait to do it all over again.

M Z.

Yelp
Great experience picking raspberries & blackberries with our toddler. The property a cute train & other stuff kids can play with. The owner was very nice. There are a bunch of other organic veggies & fruit for sale. I would definitely do this again.

Nina O.

Yelp
Visiting Summerset Farm was my favorite part of our weekend in Solvang! My best friends and I took a trolly bus tour of Santa Ynez Valley and this was one of our stops. Dale (I believe was the owners name) and his wife were so nice. Picking your own berries is a lot of hard work, but totally worth it. They are not sprayed with any pesticides so you don't even have to wash them, we just added them to our picnic!

Tom C.

Yelp
Traveled to Los Olivos for the day with friends and family, five of us in total, including a 3 year old. Decided to stop at Summerset Farm, I've actually been before and remembered it to be a fun experience. It's rustic, charming, with a very sweet "farmer" who tells you how the "pick your own" works. We were given four small baskets and told that we could try anything that we were picking. My friend took that to heart and probably ate more than she gathered. Seeing that raspberries were most plentiful that's what we concentrated on, although the grapes in the arbor were tempting too. No disappointment at all, we must have been walking and picking for well over an hour and gathered some of the juiciest, sweetest raspberries, you'll ever find. Oh, remember that 3 year old, she probably had the best time of all of us as she got a chance to experience nature's bounty firsthand! If you find yourself on the San Marco's Pass (154) just outside of Los Olivos you owe it to yourself to stop, relax, and pick a few (and eat a few) of whatever the growing season offers!

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Came to do some berry picking here on the way back from Paso Robles after a wine tasting weekend. I went on a Sunday and I called to check if they were open and we found it very easily. I had my little pomeranian in tow and they didn't mind. There were two other people who had come with their dogs so I can assume they are pet friendly as they greeted my pooch when we arrived. We were able to pick the berries with our dog which was kinda cool. We picked Raspberries and Strawberries, they were very yummy! The property is very maintained and beautiful with tall sun flowers growing very tall. What I liked about this place was how it was very laid back. We were given our baskets and told to go pick and take pictures. We went had fun, and then paid for what we had picked. Loved the experience!

Emma S.

Yelp
Such a cute farm. We went with family this weekend and the babies loved it. It wasn't crowded like the local farms around us, which was really nice. The fruit picking was also great!

Jeremy G.

Yelp
Great little fruit farm. Perfect for kids to pick blackberries, apples, pumpkins, and other items. Kids enjoyed the train ride and waking the grounds.

Cheri G.

Yelp
You guys are awesome! Everything is great and such a fun place to plan a play date with my little ones friends and we can explore the farm and educate the kids - while burning off energy :) = naps !! It doesn't matter how long we stay and little we buy ... we always get treated great! Thank you

Loves F.

Yelp
We had lots of fun picking berries, and they were delicious. Best of all was the kind woman who was working there. Best customer service I have ever had.
