Where To Eat and Drink In Emory Village

"This North Decatur Road address is no stranger to early risers since it was previously host to breakfast spots like Rise and Dine and the short-lived Baker Dude. Now it houses Summit Coffee, a North Carolina-based coffee chain. Since college students inhale coffee like oxygen, this spot is a welcome addition to the former coffee shop-less strip next to Emory University. The walls are splashed with calming forest green paint and every brown leather booth and marble-topped table is occupied by twenty-somethings typing furiously on laptops. Most suck down espressos with headphones on, oblivious to the generic indie pop coming from the speakers. Come here for decent coffee, tasty blueberry muffins, and the peace and quiet that you can’t find while trying to work at home. " - juli horsford

Love their seasonal drinks! I had the banana cream pie latte and tried the lavender latte with blueberry foam — both were super tasty. The place is really clean too, even the bathroom was tidy.

Great coffee, cozy vibe, and stylish decor. The hibiscus berry lemonade was refreshing, and the pastries looked fresh. Friendly staff, but it can get busy. Reasonable prices with house-made syrups for extra flavor. A solid spot to relax or work—best to visit during off-peak hours!

Cute place perfect for students from Emory. It gets pretty loud, but that's because it's usually packed with people working/studying. Tried the cookie, the croissant, and one or two other pastries. $5 each and they just aren't very good. It's nice they offer to warm they up though. Tried the iced mocha a few times but it always makes me feel bad, and just doesn't taste good. Instead the hibiscus lemonade is great and I definitely recommend that!

Summit Coffee is a fantastic place to grab a quality drink near Emory. Their coffee is rich and smooth, perfect for a morning boost or an afternoon pick-me-up. If you’re in the mood for something refreshing, their lemonade is a must-try—bright, crisp, and just the right amount of sweetness. The atmosphere is welcoming, making it a great place to study, catch up with friends, or just relax. Whether you’re a coffee lover or looking for something refreshing, Summit Coffee is definitely worth a visit!

This was such a cute coffee shop with a decent amount of seating. It looked like everyone in there was in school and studying. Almost all the tables were full, I barely got a seat. The coffee was delicious though, not too sweet at all! A perfect balance of flavor without being bitter. It was a great spot to pop into for studying while on a trip.

Such an adorable, quaint and cozy coffee shop. Creative drinks served, including the Unicorn soda and Matcha with strawberry cream 😋

As a Davidson alum, I'm very familiar with Summit's original location. I'm so glad I finally made it to this one, as their coffee is some of my favorite! Their prices are great for the quality of their coffee, and they don't charge extra for non-dairy milk. Plus, they have an app with a rewards program :) The cafe itself was comfortable despite being busy, the staff was incredibly friendly, and parking was free in the lot behind the building. Side note: the feta and herb scone was incredible.

🍽️ Earl Grey Iced Tea & Feta and Herb Scone Review: @summitcoffeeemoryvillage has become my second home this summer. Every time the vibes are impeccable. I have probably spent more time here than my own bed this summer and I’m being so serious. Food is amazing, prices are good, friendly staff, lots of variety in seating options, good WiFi, overall cannot recommend enough!! This is the Emory village location 😁 Coffee Shop Criteria: Drinks: Amazing. I’ve had the iced tea and matcha and was extremely impressed with both. They don’t charge extra for sweeteners or non dairy milk which are both such immediate green flags. So obsessed. Seating: SO many options and almost always something available. This was in the summer so less busy time but if you get there early enough it should be okay. Theres like a countertop with high barstool chairs but they’re so comfy. Theres also three booths that will fit probably up to six people. There’s also four small tables with one side booth and one side chair, perfect for solo study sessions or a coffee date! Then they have a few chairs in the back and 4 top tables in the middle. Parking: Theres a free lot out back. Free as long as you stay on the property. Plenty of space, its a shared lot. Vibes: 100/10 this place is amazing. The lighting is calming, the color scheme is welcoming and aesthetic, the furniture is cute but comfy. The staff is always friendly. The food is unique and delicious. Everything about this place makes me happy. Bonus: Get the rewards app! Free drink after you spend $50

Yelp
This place deserves 5 stars for the outlet access alone. Virtually every table has its own outlet - other coffee shops take notes!! The decor is cute n simple. All of their coffee syrups are made in house and they even make new ones throughout the seasons. Bathrooms are clean. Staff is friendly. Truly what else could you want in a coffee shop?! No idea how parking is bc I got dropped off but it seems like there's a small lot in the back and street parking in the front. Prices were reasonable and they *don't* charge extra for milk alternative which is rare these days. Truly a wonderful way to start your day or have a cute place to work. The *only* thing that seemed off was that they don't play music so you kinda have to eavesdrop on your neighbor's convo on the lack of generosity and the laughable idea of legacy building these days mixed with the subtle sounds of making coffee. If random bouts of quiet isn't your vibe bring some headphones so you can have a solo rave while you work.

Yelp
This place is such a great addition to this strip of places to eat, paint, stretch, and eat more. It is a great location for not only for the Emory kids, but even for DHHS students to hang out at after school. We tried to homemade iced tea lemonade as well as a chai and both were delicious. Actually, my teen rated the chai as the BEST so far which is a big deal. I cannot wait to go back and grab some coffee paint pottery next door, grab some pizza, next door, grab cookies, next to that, an Grab a bottle of wine after.

Yelp
I've already been here my second time in three weeks. This is a new establishment in the Emory Village area, but have other successful locations in Atlanta and in North Carolina. I'm so excited that there is another "specialty coffee shop" so close to campus - as an alumna and current staff member. The space is sizable, and fits a number of patrons. I heard about this opening through the Atlanta Coffee Shops newsletter and read their blog post before visiting. I'm very pleased. Wifi is free and with a password, that they have on a mini chalkboard by the counter/cash register. I only got a latte my first time as I was in a rush and didn't see the last of the winter seasonal menu, or order a pastry as I typically do when trying new shops. Yesterday I got to see the spring menu and immediately chose the nitro cold brew w/ berries and cream. It tasted like a blueberry muffin and was so delicious and well-presented. I also tried the croissant and asked for it warmed - also incredible. I think it would be interesting to see if they can come up with more interesting pastries.

Drinks are delicious. Ive tried almost all the drinks on the summer menu and they are all really delicious! The staff is really friendly and the cafe is beautifully decorated. Warm & inviting

Yelp
There is always a little coffee and bakery shop that you need to decorate your life. I suggest Summit Coffee Company if you are submerged into the Emory University or Hospital community. There is a lot of everything in this citadel of life and learning. You can process it all better with a visit to Summit Coffee on Decatur. There is plenty of charm that drizzles all the way from the staff to the menu and ambiance. I took the suggestion from the baristas and thrilled at every sip of my Hibiscus Berry tea. I took a pretty good look around and I think that you would enjoy anything here.

Yelp
Their iced vanilla latte was really good! Not too sweet and the coffee taste was excellent.

Yelp
shit (caramel iced latte) was ass (overpriced, too much ice, can hardly taste the coffee, ur much better off going to kaldi's).
