Tucked into the revitalized River Arts District is this unique, industrial-style cafe. They have many unique and seasonal lattes, and seem to relish experimenting with flavor combinations.
This space was great for working remotely, with plenty of seating (especially outside) and outlets. However, the upstairs section is currently closed and used for storage, so that significantly reduces the amount of indoor seating.
I ordered the blueberry honeysuckle latte, the flavor reminiscent of a blueberry danish. The flavors were good, but at almost $7 for a 12oz latte, I'm not sure if I could say it was worth the cost, especially considering that the milk was over-aerated, bubbly, and no attempt was made at latte art or microfoam. One of the reasons I choose local craft cafes over large chains like Starbucks is for speciality flavors and high quality coffee, and I can't say that this latte fit that bill, particularly at that price point.
The barista who took my order was very friendly and helpful! No qualms with my service here.
Food options are limited, so if you plan on working here all day, you may need to either bring a sandwich or run out to get some food.
I will probably order a regular black coffee the next time I come here, since the latte was underwhelming. I've heard great things about their coffee roaster, so I'll update this review once I've had a chance to try their black coffee.
OVERALL: I'd come back! The space was gorgeous, the staff were friendly, and the drink was good, if overpriced
Parking: plenty of free parking in the gravel lot outside
What I got: blueberry honeysuckle latte with almond milk
What I recommend: Probably just a black coffee
