Wonderful food and staff everytime. My teenagers picked coming here for their birthdays back to back this year and it was amazing both times. The atmosphere is perfect for date night or a relaxed meal with family and friends. You're welcomed in irregardless of what you are wearing. The staff is kind and always attentive

The food was great. The steak was absolutely incredible. Everything was really nice. Food portions are huge! We will definitely go back.

Just visiting the area from out of town, but got the recommendation to come here for a nice lunch. I had the pot roast and it was so very good! Definitely remembering next time I am around Lee's Summit.

I had some excellent biscuits and gravy with a side of breakfast potatoes. It was definitely worth the 30 minute drive. The gooey butter cake was incredible. Will definitely make the drive again.

Booths have floor to ceiling walls, so the feeling is private. Food was wonderful! $26 for a champagne heavy carafe of mimosas was also a great deal!

I've been here twice now and each time it is absolutely great! The staff are very friendly and attentive. We have sat in the lounge area both times which is more my speed. Would be great to catch a game here sometime too. Lunch crowd has been light but I'm sure this place gets busy for dinner and weekends. I'm sure the other food is good and it does look good when I see it on other tables. However, I will likely never find out for myself.... I asked the first time what's your best dish. Answer: chicken fried chicken. And that's no lie. It's the best I've ever had!!! Light crispy breading two tender juice chicken breast covered is a wonderful peppery cream gravy. It's very rich almost like a Hollandaise style gravy. So frigging good!!! Then it comes with green beans and mashed potatoes. I've called an audible each time and grabbed extra green beans pass on the mashed. So much food!!! The green beans are great too. Perfectly cooked; al dente just like I like them. I'm sure the bar service is great but it's about an hour home for me so too much risk to try anything but water. Glad it's not closer I'd have to ask for a chicken fried chicken punch card... LOL Give this place a try I highly recommend the chicken fried chicken! Nice job Summit Grill!!!

I had an anaphylactic reaction and had to use an epi pen due to someone having a communication breakdown between the waitress and the kitchen. The fries on the menu were listed as having the option of being truffle fries. I asked if they came with the truffle oil in the already or if it was added in the kitchen. I informed the waitress that I am allergic and can't eat them if it has it in them. The waitress went to ask and came back to say they didn't have the oil on them until the cook adds it so she would tell them to leave it off. After eating only one fry I started feeling funny and stopped eating them, then started having trouble breathing so I went out and used my epi pen. The friend I was with told the manager who apologized and said the kitchen messed up. He paid for our full meal and offered a gift card, but I won't ever go back.

The food here is always good and the service is usually good. My parents both love eating here so its always a good spot to go with them. They have a bar and restaurant side. The restaurant side is mostly booths, while the bar side has bar, hightop, table and booth seating.

We never miss a chance for takeout to our hotel. The ultimate grilled cheese and Nashville chicken sandwich are go tos for us. The vegetable medley and mac n cheese are must have add ons.

Great food, great prices! Service was excellent, including the robot waiter! So much food we enjoyed it for three meals!

Came here for a Monday night early supper. Service was perfect. Our waiter was fantastic. The app was done right. My beer was cold. Our burgers and order came out exactly right. Best burger in I don't know how long. Not the cheapest of course... But beats everyone else. We got desserts to go. Fantastic Gooey Butter Cake and a very good Carrot cake. Somehow every time here is special. What a wonderful place to enjoy the end of a day!!

We stumbled upon this amazing restaurant on a road trip! The food was perfect and the service excellent! Adea was the best server!Please open one in Fort Lauderdale!

One of our favorite spots! Everything I've tried has been delicious, but the Caesar salad is my all-time favorite. They offer a variety of seating options, whether you prefer the bar area or the dining room. Plus, the service is always excellent, no matter where you sit.

I enjoyed my salmon salad very much and our appetizer spinach artichoke dip was really tasty. Nothing overly special about this place but it has a good feel and ambience. Menu is your typical bar and grill place. Wine selections were limited and not chilled, had house wine and then selected a premium Sonoma County selection thinking it'd be better and it wasn't that great at least for wines by the glass.

Fabulous happy hour. Best calamari and prime rib dip anywhere. My group loves their 'happy hour every day' and loves to sit at one of the stretch high tops and order just about everything on the happy hour menu to pass around. The calamari is made from strips of calamari steak, so beautiful strips of plump and tender meat perfectly fried. Sadly their fried shrimp appetizer isn't on the hh menu, but worth every penny. The prime rib dip is incredible. Huge pile of medium rare prime rib stacked on a hoagie roll with tasty au juice and horseradish cream on the side. French fries are perfection. We love sitting at the bar and watching the tenders do their thing. The staff is great and management takes their job seriously. This is one of our favorite places north of the river!

Unfortunately, this location continues to disappoint. The food is consistent enough, but the upkeep of property lacks that consistency. Upon entering, the windows are not clean. The bathrooms are not well kept. The outside area is ALWAYS in need of seasonal cleaning of debris. Pls do better

They accommodated our group of 15 people, they were fast and amazing. Our server remembered the orders and came around to make sure we were all taken care of. Food was amazing and the atmosphere was nice and elegant. I would recommend coming here for a date night.

First time here on a Friday night for dinner. Restaurant seem busy from parking lot. Happy hour still going on till 7pm. We got in line for a table which was about 10 minutes wait. Ambiance is casual upscale dining in this area of town. Each table had a lite candle giving a romantic vibes. Waitress came to take our order. Pricing a bit high. Entrees did not come with bread or salad like some other place. I ordered the Beef tenderloin with risotto. It was really good and just the right portion side. Follow up with a carrot cake, big enough to share. A perfect bite of sweetness, caramel and cream cheese. Our waitress provided good service and was attentive.

Friday evening and we were craving Summit Grill tonight. The service is always great and the food is delicious. I ordered the classic Summit cheeseburger which is 1/2 pound of premium ground beef grilled to order. The fries are very tasty and one of a kind. Order the French Onion soup- lots of cheese and baked in just right. There are several dining areas to enjoy including a courtyard outside.

I can't thank Piper enough for her amazing service! The food was so good and atmosphere really set the mood :)

This was my first time here and and I really enjoyed my experience. We came here for a family gathering and there was a total of 12 of us and they were able to accommodate our needs. We were seated pretty quickly even though they were super busy, I will say their waiting area is not great for large parties. Once we were seated our waitress came quickly and took our drink and appetizer orders. I had an old fashioned, it was pretty tasty. I had calamari for an appetizer, it was good but not fried as hard as I normally like it. Then my salmon, sautéed mushrooms and crispy brussel sprouts came out. OMG, it was soooo good. Everything was seasoned well and the salmon was perfectly cooked. My husband got the pot roast, veggies, and mac and cheese. He thought the pot roast was tender and the veggies were seasoned well but he LOVED the mac and cheese. He had a little bit the next day and he said it tasted even better! They also have a private parking lot so it makes parking pretty easy. We will definitely come back next time we visit KS. And did I mention my husband loved the mac and cheese?

Had lunch with my BFF's last week. SG is always very good! I had the chopped salad and a burger (bun-less) with cheese, onion and lettuce. It was so good! Perfectly season beef! Our server was so sweet and she did a fabulous job during the busy lunch hour! Atmosphere was buzzing as it usually is, but it was bright and inviting. My friends both had the fried chicken salad, it's a favorite for them both! I always look forward to going back again!

This place has amazing food and an elegant atmosphere. We went to this place for appetizers and it did not disappoint. Our waitress Mary was extremely kind and helpful. She is very fast when it came to our drinks and getting our plates out of the way! Our favorite thing was the bread board which was filling and beautiful to look at. The summit refresher was a great choice for someone who doesn't drink. It has raspberries floating in it which adds the perfect amount of tang, We will definitely be coming back and telling people to stop by!

I had one of the lunch specials. Soup and salad. You can choose what type of soup (whatever they have that day) and choose a wedge or house salad. I love French onion soup and wedge salad. They were both very very good! More than enough for me. I also had a glass of Pinot noir. Very enjoyable ambience. Great service.

We have been to Summit Grill perhaps 8-10 times in the past couple of years. We would probably go more frequently, but we live in 30+ minutes away. We go because of the ambience, service, and food quality. This visit didn't disappoint. We stayed on the Happy Hour menu this visit as we had a comedy show afterwards to attend. The calamari appetizer are steaks. So delicious. Prefer steaks over rings and tentacles. Though I do think there is a better sauce to pair with then marinara. My wife got the fish tacos. Good quality, needed more of an acid, like some fresh... perhaps a mango or pineapple salsa. I got the sliders and some fries. Sliders are what I expected. It would be nice to have more than one pickle slice per slider. The garlic truffle aioli for the fries was a wonderful condiment for the sliders. For me the aioli is too heavy so I gave up on it before my fries were gone. While we have personal preferences, we like this place and will continue to visit. We always try the food as the chef intended. As we try different menu items, we will be more forward with our preferences. Keep up the great product offering.

Came here while on a business trip. It was some of the best food I had in Independence. Highly recommend their desserts!

Join them from 3-6pm any day to enjoy great priced cocktails, beer, and small bites Wings are a MUST! Staff is not always the most inviting or personable, however service is decently quick. That is my only complaint any time I have been here. Located near many other unique food spots and parking selection is pretty good. Bar area seating is what I would recommend for happy hour. Great place to meet friends or coworkers! Outdoor patio is available when warm.

The food and atmosphere of this place is just simply incredible. From the butter board, to the pot roast and fish and chips, you cannot go wrong here!! The only thing that could be seriously improved would be the service. I felt like for a restaurant this nice, the wait staff should not expect you to take the hot plate from their hands (helping them) to set your plate on the table. I also think that if you ask for something to go, that they should package the items and not just bring you an empty container to put the food in yourself. It's these things that really set a nice restaurant apart from a casual dining. The food and prices reflect one thing, but the service doesn't match up in my opinion.

ALMOST PERFECT. One star shy of a five star rating because they serve Pepsi products and I am a Diet Coke girlie! But his restaurant is tucked away and the ambience is so lovely! Clean amazing service delicious food I ordered the slow roasted pot roast, come with mashed potatoes and vegetables. So good the meat was so tender the gravy was phenomenal. My husband got a burger and fries. He's a burger guy and he was super impressed! We have a 3 year old who is a picky eater and she was hangry and our server was so sweet and kind to her. She brought her little nibbles a couple of orange slices and cherries. We appreciated that so much! And when she noticed she hadn't touched her grilled cheese she offered to bring something else. We kindly declined. This was a wonderful first experience and I will definitely be recommending this place to family and friends!

Despite the lack of service from our waitress, the food was DELICIOUS!! Ambiance couldn't have been better, and getting there right when they opened the doors in a Sunday for brunch was delightful. We were immediately seated and provided menus for browsing. After a few minutes, there is still no server introduction which means no water to wet our whistles. As we were sitting there, I noticed that everyone at tables around us were greeted not only by their server but water. So just as I make my way to get up, a server appears no name given and two waters. We'd been waiting long enough that when she appeared, we were ready to get straight to ordering, no need for appetizers at that point. Don't know about you, but those are meant to munch on while deciding on your meal..... My husband decided on the Summit Original Breakfast. He said the bacon was crisp, the potatoes were freshly fried, and lightly seasoned. No complaints, so we were doing well. Oh, and I should mention this was his first time visiting this restaurant, so I was excited that he had a great experience with the food. I, on the other hand, decided on the Chicken Fried Chicken (minus the gravy). I substituted the mashed potatoes for the Mac & Cheese. When the order arrived, as you can see from the pictures, I had gravy all over. I ended up telling the server to leave it as is. And despite her mistake, I ended up loving the gravy. The chicken was freshly fried and had great flavor. The Mac & Cheese was not only creamy but cheesy as well. It was more than filling. I actually had enough leftover for an entire meal for dinner, which was great. Hubby said we will return so that he could try the lunch and/or dinner items. Other than our non-existent server and the gravy I didn't order (which ended up being tasty), our dining experience was delightful.

So I reviewed the Waldo location for brunch and that one was amazing. Hubs and I came to this location for dinner and expected the same feeling. We got something totally different. The food here was subpar. I mean the subest of the par. I ordered a pasta dish. My pasta was not cooked properly and was very chewy in some spots but crunchy in others. Hubs ordered a side of Smashed potatoes and but the time they came, we were pretty much done with our meals. Hubs also had a pasta dish that lacked flavor. Our waitstaff was fine but they had her all over the place so service was slow. They kept bringing the wrong food to our table. I've never worked in the food industry, but I'm sure there is a way to tell what table ordered what. Maybe we came on an off day but I'll stick with brunch at the Waldo location and pass on dinner at any of the locations.

Went online today and set a reservation for 9:00pm this evening. All good! At 8:45pm I receive a phone call from them saying the kitchen closes at 9:00. In other words they didnt want us there. Dont take a 9:00pm reservation if the kitchen closes at 9:00! Unacceptable we wont be back for a while!

We got there on a Friday night around 7:30 with no reservation and got in in under 20 minutes, so that was pretty great especially since it was for my wife's and I anniversary. Our waitress was absolutely wonderful. The service was top notch all around. We started with the fried calamari. It was good. I thought the pieces were a bit large, which made them a tad chewy. My wife had the Grilled Atlantic Salmon and really enjoyed it. I had the Dry Rubbed Burger and also really enjoyed that. Both of our proteins were cooked perfectly. We ended with the Crème Brûlée, it was great! The bathroom needs some attention. It wasn't dirty by any means, it had a strange smell to it though. Overall we had a great dinning experience and would recommend to anyone.

Work brought me to KC, it was the luck of the draw where I stayed, and so was finding this place to eat! It is an amazing place, lots of people, the restaurant side was full, but they had a couple of tables available in bar side. Sat down and had a waitress taking my order in a few minutes! She stopped back and refilled my water glass almost as soon as it was empty!! Quite impressive considering the number of tables she was taking care of!! Her name was Samantha R!! Ordered the Tenderloin Beef Risotto... it was absolutely delicious!! I would highly recommend this! I was also greatly impressed that even with a full place, I was in and out within 45 minutes!! Would definitely recommend this place for dinner.

Had a wonderful Thanksgiving meal. The prime rib was perfectly prepared and delicious. Service was prompt and professional. Overall excellence.

I seriously LOVE this place. The food is killer, the service is great and it's a versatile place - great for munchy bar food, date night or an anniversary dinner. The menu is expansive and the dessert - oh my! So many tempting choices! I'm a sucker for anything cheese and they had Brie on the menu. It's topped with a puff pastry, drizzle of honey and crushed pistachios and served with crackers and apple slices. I'll definitely be back just for this! I opted for the chicken club and it was great. The chicken breast was generous and topped with thick slices of bacon and melted cheese. The hubs went with the ribeye and it's nearly large enough for two. And hello fried Brussel sprouts and potatoes! I could have just taken a full plate of spouts! This is the only time I didn't save enough room for dessert. Oh well - guess I'll just have to go back!

I always have such an enjoyable dining experience at Summit Grill. We ordered their spinach and baby artichokes dip, the Atlantic grilled salmon, and for dessert the gooey butter cake. I have to say their spinach dip is top tier, one of the best I have had in the city. The salmon was nicely done as well, the sauce that came with it tied everything together. I had to add a little salt for my taste. Their gooey butter cake was really good warm with the ice cream. It was really sweet, I can't imagine someone finishing it alone. My espresso martini was good, I have had better. Our waitress was really great and our food came in really fast.

Lighting is way too dark. We were there during the day. That being said. Hummus starter was not impressive...THEN... I had the lobster stuffed salmon. They could have put my plate back in the cabinets. I cleaned it so well. It was so delicious. I was beyond full. But pushed it by saying yeah to dessert, OMG! Why?! Because it was amazing as well. All in all. Would do it again.

Thanksgiving lunch was good. Service was awesome. Ambience was festive . Roasted beet salad was perfect.

Reopening after COVID-19 Coming Back to Life No longer are masks required, some limiting of seating, sanitizing after each customer, and free WiFi for those who do not care to chat. Another "acid test" for a reopening from COVID-19 restrictions: Father's Day without a reservation! Entering the full parking lot on a sunny holiday, we knew there could be some challenges for the staff. I had called earlier and was told that there should not be any problem being a "walk in" around 3:00 pm. So at the hostess station when we were told "only if you have a reservation!" Luckily we snagged a manager who told us we should be seated in "around 10 minutes." 15 minutes later I spotted an opening table in the bar and asked if it could be bused for us. Soon we were seated. That was when the former Summit Grill came back to life. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. She agreed that they had the best Calamari in town, then suggested a very good wine match for my Fillet and for my wife's Lobster Stuffed Salmon. The Calamari showed up pretty quickly and was outstanding! As the appetizer plates were cleared our entrees were served - perfect timing and perfect preparation. The only thing lacking was a stomach stretcher causing us to skip one of their desserts. We will try to make up for that at a later date. The tab came in at a very reasonable $95 (including drinks and tax). Considering the level of the service, along with the quality and quantity of the food I was compelled to leave a very good tip. Understanding the tight local labor market in the industry, the rising prices all around, and the challenge of training new staff and bringing locked down staff back up to speed, Summit Grill is yet another success story in the area restaurants.

My go to lately here has been the fried chicken sandwich salad! The portion is huge and always last me atleast two meals. I have been purchasing curbside from this location lately because the process is easy. Their online order system is simple to use as when you get to the restaurant they have designated spots for curbside orders. All you have to do is call the phone number that is on your email receipt and let them know you are there and they bring it out when it's done! Tip: the time frame for your order to be completed seems to give them a big Grace period. I would suggest heading over after you order because your order most likely will be done quicker than the time frame given

Summit Grill is a must if you've never been there before! They have a variety of options to choose from without having an overwhelming menu. I had the poutine appetizer, which was very filling! I loved that it came topped with an egg and pot roast. I also had the salmon entree, which was cooked perfectly and tasted fresh. Service was great! I sat at the bar, and the bartender was attentive and friendly. I'd say it's on the pricier end of local restaurants, but it's worth it to treat yourself every so often if you can. I will definitely return and recommend Summit Grill to family and friends.

My favorite is the pot roast grilled cheese sandwich omg! Just grown up childhood favorite x10! Love going for lunch with friends. I skip the fries they are the skinny kind. I always ask for a side of horseradish sauce the roast beef is heaven! I've always had nice service the wait staff are attentive an timely. It can be loud during their busy time.

I placed an order to go for last minute dinner. I tried their steak with Brussels sprouts and roasted potatoes that was outstanding! The steak was huge and perfectly cooked, sprouts and potatoes were crispy and well seasoned which is quite a feat for a to go order. I also got a side order of mac and cheese to eat for lunch the next day and it was delicious! The portions are generous, I had steak and potatoes left over for another dinner and had two lunches off the side order of mac. I have eaten at the restaurant and have attended catered events there, the decor is chic and modern with great mood lighting. Perfect for date night or a fun boozy girls night. I will be back for sure!

I had only been to Summit Grill one other time before my visit on Saturday. That time I had met up with some friends for a quick lunch and didn't really get a chance to peruse their menu. Let me just say this. If you have Brussel sprouts on your menu, I will try them. I did not start eating them until about 5 years ago and can't believe what I have been missing out on. And seriously, Summit Grill has the best I have ever had! Tender, flavorful and they serve it with I believe honey mustard which I never knew I needed in my life with brussel sprouts until now. I also ordered their fish and chips. It came with two giant cuts of fish and the breading was immaculate. Crispy, fresh, delicious! My only complaint, and please don't ever let this stop you from going to a restaurant, was their coleslaw. It was dry, no big deal. Also our waitress Ciara(I think that is the spelling) was and absolute angel. My wife is kind of picky with her food but very patient. Ciara understood this and actually went above and beyond in catering to her wishes and we were very, very grateful which was reflected in her tip. It is nice going places that have staff that do still care about the customer service! We will be back.

1 up 2 down.. Up- prices Down- service providers didn't check on us, we had to ask for service. Down- quality- did was overcooked causing an extra level of chewiness.

After a very long break we returned to Summit Grill for our Valentine's Day dinner. Their special included a pre-fix menu of two salads/soups, 2 entrees and a dessert for $99.00 I love the salad dressings served by this restaurant group and ordered the house salad but requested blue cheese crumbles rather than the feta (and romano?) cheese that came with it. Delish! My mixed grill was really good too. My petite filet was cooked a perfect medium rare. My salmon was a bit overcooked. Fortunately, my friend Mari was working and she stopped to ask my our food was... REALLY???? I hated to say anything because they were sooooooo busy and the salmon wasn't awful. She insisted on having it redone and I'm so glad because I received a beautiful, cooked to a turn, piece of grilled salmon. It was moist and flavorful. The manager stopped by to check on us even though she was working at top speed running entrees to tables & taking care of other guests. Our table allowed us the vantage point of seeing plates as they came out of the kitchen. Not only was I impressed with seeing some of the really professional servers, like Mari, going the extra mile doing things like drying wet plates before taking them to customer's tables, but I enjoyed seeing the impressive plating. They had a full restaurant but the back of the house consistently did a beautiful job with beautifully plating the food. Our prior 'one star' experience here was before this manager was in charge and things seem to have turned around. Our dessert was delicious and so rich that sharing one was plenty! Finally, I'm not normally a martini girl and almost never order two drinks, but their chocolate raspberry martini's were so delish that I did. Garnished with 3 fresh raspberries and delectable.

I went in today and had the corned beef Rubin sandwich. It was a decent meal and the corned beef was properly prepared. The side of fries were over cooked but edible. The service was very good as busy as it was when I was there. I would recommend having reservations as this place gets very busy. I will go back to have another meal and maybe get blown away for it being great. But as of today, it's just ok.

Love the atmosphere and food. So delicious! It always makes for the perfect Date night.
