I was really impressed with this place. We sat outside, and the view was absolutely great, such a perfect backdrop for a relaxing evening. I was really surprised with their signature cocktails they were delicious. Service was exactly what you’d expect from a place of this caliber, professional and attentive with no complaints at all. What really surprised me was how fast the food came out after we ordered. It was almost immediate, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Well definitely be coming back.

We came to celebrate mother day for two mothers on Saturday night. For a party of 8 patio seats were not available at the time. The staff who served us was very attentive and helpful. We ordered the most famous prime rib and rosemary garlic chicken. We also ordered salad crab cakes and fries as side dishes. Everything was delicious. We all had a wonderful time. The restaurant had an old English charmed atmosphere. It felt like dining in an old mansion. Beside patio seating with valley views it had big dining hall and smaller dining room.

We had a great time at Summit House celebrating our anniversary! They had a nice table set up outside on the shaded patio. We had a great view, and the weather was perfect. We were greeted with a card on the table, wishing us happy anniversary. The food was pretty good, hubby got prime rib, and I got the sea bass, which is a special. We ordered scallops, which were delicious. However, for the price, we expected more than 2 scallops. We were stuffed, and the waiter brought out a yummy chocalate ice cream cake dessert on the house. Nice touch! Appreciate the quality of service and fine touches!

Great dinner experience. Love the exterior and interior design, feels like some wealthy English place. Prime rib was delicious! The corn was great too. Excellent service. Must go if you are celebrating anniversaries or birthdays.

One of the BEST experience I’ve ever had ever. Came to LA for a birthday trip, Summit House was my first dinner. I’ve gotta say this is hands down one of the best prime ribs i’ve ever had. Matt was my table’s server and he was great. Super knowledgeable and knew his stuff. Cocktail recommendations were on point I loved the Manhattan he recommended and my friend also recommended me the espresso martini. Bone marrow mac and cheese was sosososo good. Would definitely come back when I’m back in LA again. Thank you for the birthday card, the hospitality. You guys were definitely the best.

After trying Lawry’s and Five Crowns, we were recommended by a friend to the Summit House for their prime rib. Upon entering, the restaurant seemed very cozy and had a nice old vibe to it. We ordered the lobster bisque and French onion soup to start off. Both dishes very tasty. Both my wife and I ordered cocktails and they were good. We then ordered a summit house prime rib and a cottage prime rib. We asked for medium rare but received medium. No big deal. The rib eye was tender but lacked seasoning. Nothing compared to what Lawry’s serves you. Creamed spinach was very basic as well but the creamed corn was good. We also ordered the Mac and cheese with bone marrow. It came out burned from the top and over cooked. The waiter placed the dish on the table and said, “I know it’s burned but it should still taste good.” Didn’t ask if we wanted it to go back to the kitchen and yes indeed it was burned, we ended up not eating the dish. During our dinner, we spilled some of the cream corn while serving since it came in a separate dish. The waiter did not clean up the table at all. As we concluded the main dish, the waiter picked up all the dishes but still left the cream corn spilled on the table. We ordered dessert and it was brought to us and placed upon the dirty table. By the way, do not get the English trifle, it was terrible. The worst part was that I still left a tip that reflected the service we received that night. Once home, I noticed the waiter had adjusted my tip to reflect 20% of the bill. Outrageous, fraudulent and dishonest. I will be expecting them to contact me once their read this review.

We came here to celebrate my parents' anniversary. We had a reservation, but we decided to arrive early so we could grab a drink in the bar. I started with the French onion soup. It was so flavorful! The prime rib was cooked to a perfect medium-rare and paired perfectly with the horseradish sauce. The wait staff was really attentive and helpful. They made sure we had everything we needed.

I took my dad to eat the famous roast prime rib on Wednesday to get their special deal $38 for cottage cut. For appetizer, we got the Escargots Bourguignonne and free bread. For entree, we each got the cottage cut prime rib with creamed corn au gratin, creamed spinach, Yorkshire popover, and horseradish on the side. I made a reservation on OpenTable a week in advance for 5:15pm and the only seating available was outside. To my surprise, the seating outside was very nice! It was a nice California day in March 2025 and it wasn’t too hot. The sun was still up and the view was beautiful! Parking was easy for me, I arrived early and was able to get parking. When I left, it seemed like people were having a hard time finding parking. I highly recommend getting an early reservation if you can. Overall experience was great and seating was very nice. The staff are very nice which made the experience great. The food was good, not amazing. It was just normal in my opinion. The free bread was warm but it’s a bit hard. The escargot was good with the free bread+butter. The prime rib was juicy and not tough. I asked for medium rare but I think it seems more medium. The creamed corn and creamed spinach was good, but it could’ve been better. I think it’s not creamy enough and the corn was a little hard/dry. I think it’s missing more butter or cream. Surprisingly, I really liked the horseradish paired with the prime rib. Horseradish is not for everyone (tastes like a light wasabi), but I highly recommend having it on the side to try and see if you like it. If you’ve never had prime rib, I highly recommend trying it here on Wednesday! The portion was great for me and leaves room for you to try other things.

Yelp
Amazing prime rib dinner with great service and amazing views. Best part of the dinner was spending quality time with my beautiful wife.

Yelp
I so wanted to love the Summit House based on friends' recommendations, albeit from years ago. We decided to come for our anniversary. The nice opening touches were appreciated- a signed by all staff personalized anniversary card was waiting at our table. Although we couldn't see the view, our booth was comfortable. Our server, Luke, was as attentive as he could be given the amount of tables he was responsible for. But the kitchen timing was off, and the bar could not make a basic margarita despite two tries, and I am pretty forgiving. The lobster bisque was soooo salty and I love salt. It was so bracingly salty that I could not finish half of it. My filet mignon was lukewarm to cold when it came out. My husband's prime rib was hot... we deduced it was because the large party of 12 next to us mostly had prime rib, so mine probably sat around for awhile. Since I already sent back my marg, I just gave up after 2 bites and the air fryer or microwave it will be for lunch tomorrow. They did send out a complimentary Chocolate puff pastry with choc chip ice cream, which was decadent and helped redeem my mediocre dinner. $35 corkage fee which we gladly took advance of, but then my husband opted for the $85 forty year port... guess one balanced out the other.

Yelp
Father's Day was celebrated here and the service is always great! It feels like your grandmother's house with the giant fireplace and family style seating. It's such a cute place, I love coming here. To start, we ordered the seaside sampler: crab cakes, Mexican prawns, and ahi sashimi. This appetizer was delicious and consumed entirely by our party of 5! For our entrees: prime rib that included creamed corn, creamed spinach, and the infamous Yorkshire popover! The French onion soup was incredible, filet mignon with au gratin potatoes my daughter ate her entire plate up. We tried the bone marrow Mac and cheese and this was rich and filling. For dessert, we decided on the caramel bread pudding with Haagen Dazs vanilla ice cream, hot caramel sauce, anddddd salted roast pecans! It was so good :) This is a great option for large parties or if you want to dress up a bit. I think it's even okay if you wanna go more casual. People wear whatever the heck they want these days anyway lol. Summit house will always have my heart, and stomach!

Yelp
Gf and I came here for my birthday celebration. It was also prime rib Wednesday, we were able to get a prime rib for about $39. Such an amazing deal! The food was superb and had so much flavor! I definitely like this place better than Lawry's. You get creamed corn for the table to share. Creamed spinach and Yorkshire pudding included for such an amazing price! Huge shout out to Leo for taking care of us and giving us the best experience. The dessert for my birthday was delicious! Ambiance feels dated and rustic. The parking lot was full, but they offer complementary valet with an optional tip! I will definitely be back here again!

Yelp
Good food, and attentive and friendly service. I recommend making reservations as we came on a Monday evening and the restaurant was quite full. I ordered the Prime Rib cottage cut and found it to be filling as it was also accompanied with a popover, creamed spinach and creamed corn. The food came out in a timely manner and was enjoyable, but the real star of the show in my opinion was the Bread Pudding which we ordered for dessert. Make sure to save room as this was one of the best bread puddings I've ever had! The exterior was slightly crisp, and it had the perfect ratio of custard to bread. It comes topped with candied pecans and ice cream and as someone who isn't even a fan of pecans, I can say I thoroughly enjoyed every last bit of it! Complimentary valet and self-parking is available. Being that it's perched atop of a hill, Summit House also has a nice view of the city.

Yelp
Came here as a group of 5 with a reservation for dinner on Wednesday and we were seated right after we checked in! We've been here a couple times in the past and we've honestly never been disappointed! ~the food~ - Cottage cut prime rib (usually $54, but $38 on Wednesdays only!): Their prime ribs comes with their famous creamed corn, creamed spinach, and Yorkshire popover. Their creamed corn is so sweet and delicious and pairs amazingly with their Yorkshire popover. I felt that the creamed spinach was a bit too salty for my taste, but was still delicious! Their prime rib cut is very tender, and flavorful! Personally, the cottage cut is more than enough in terms of portion (I almost with they had a smaller size)! - Big rock blue cheese iceberg wedges ($16): Iceberg lettuce wedges topped with tomatoes, bacon, pecans, and their blue cheese dressing. Even though I'm not a fan of blue cheese, I really enjoyed this salad! The portion of this salad is quite big, so I recommend sharing this between 2-4 people especially as a starter. ~parking~ Parking isn't generally an issue as their restaurant has a decent sized parking lot! ~overall~ The ambiance is very nice and cozy, it truly feels like a house. The service was also great! Our server was very attentive and made our dinner a great experience. Pricing wise, I think that the because of the food quality and service, I think it's a great deal! You can tell that they use really nice quality beef for their prime ribs and so I think their pricing is super reasonable!

Yelp
Came back to summit house to celebrate my fiance's birthday and they had the prime rib Wednesday deal! It's such an amazing deal. $38 for prime rib, creamed spinach, creamed corn, and Yorkshire popover. We also ordered a side of truffle fries and it was DELICIOUS! I love how crispy the shoestring fries were and the truffle flavor was everything! They make you feel so special when it's your birthday, they gave him a signed card and a free birthday dessert! Definitely will be back to celebrate more birthdays!

Yelp
This upscale restaurant is perfect for a first date or an anniversary. With the live piano player and the spectacular views, the mood is set from the start. We started off with the Hokkaido scallops that were wrapped in prosciutto. Mouth watering delicious. then had the Blue cheese iceberg Lettuce wedges which left my taste buds wanting more. The special was a sea bass in a coconut curry. It was a strange combination but it seemed to work beautifully. The Black sheep Vegetable skillet was a healthy choice and did not disappoint. We finished off with a mind blowing complimentary dessert profiterole's. Our waitress was average and apologized for a few mishaps including bringing the wrong drinks but the rest of the staff was very efficient. This restaurant is pricy but worth a special occasion dinner.

Yelp
Overall, a very delicious meal. This was our first time to celebrate mine and my fiancé's birthdays. They gave us a card and free dessert. The waitress was also very kind and helpful. We ordered the prawn cocktail, truffle fries, bone marrow Mac n cheese, and prime rib of course. The prawns were kind of small for the price and only came with 4, I probably would not order this again. The fries were really good! I got the cottage cut of prime rib and that was filling enough for me since it also comes with creamed spinach, corn, and a puff pastry. Don't forget to ask for the stronger horseradish if that's your thing. The dessert tasted like strawberry shortcake, it was really good. Thank you summit house for a nice meal!

Yelp
Was here to celebrate a friend's birthday. We had a group of eight people. I hadn't been here in over a decade. This is a classic place, up on a hill, with fantastic view of Orange County below. Was here on a packed Sunday night. Make sure you have a reservation. Parking is valet only. I had prime rib, end cut. I love prime rib. Unfortunately, it was just OK. In sum, the prices seem high for what you get along with the quality. Just my opinion. Try it if you must. However, for the money, I'd head somewhere else.

Yelp
Wow. Came here to celebrate graduating and finishing the semester with friends, everything is top tier: service, food, drinks, and ambiance was perfect. Live piano music on a Sunday night. Ordered: Truffle Fries: 10/10 appetizer finger food, perfectly crispy and seasoned shoestring fries, debated ordering when we emptied the basket, but needed to save my stomach for the main dish. Summit House Prime Rib: 1000/10 my camera does not do this plate justice, I got it medium, perfectly cooked soft and juicy and au jus is a MUST. Creamed spinach wasn't too salty, was my first time trying a popover and loved it!! Saw all the reviews about the creamed corn and didn't think much until I actually tried it, had probably half the dish by myself. Lavender Lemon Drop: 10/10 drink went by too quickly, but as someone who hates the taste of alcohol this was a fun tasty drink! My friends ordered the Moscow Mule and the Chai Espresso Martini, both solid options as well. Spicy Pomegranate Paloma changed my life for the better 100/10 for the DDs of your group. Experience and food was worth the price tag, we were celebrating and wanted to enjoy the food and each others company, will be repeat customers after this amazing first time experience thank you to the staff for taking good care of us!

Yelp
We came here to celebrate our anniversary and sat outside on the patio. Outdoor seating was great. A very romantic and intimate vibe. Service was good - friendly staff and prompt service overall. Nice grounds to walk around too. Food was okay, but overpriced for what you get: -House salad and lobster bisque were both good and fairly priced. -Filet mignon was tasty. However I ordered medium-rare and got more medium-well done. The potato au gratin that came as a side was good -They brought us creamed corn. It was okay (this is not my side of choice) -John Dory was okay (had a lot of sauce) -Truffle fries were good (huge portion) -they gave us a free dessert which was a nice touch (profiteroles with ice cream and chocolate sauce). Profiteroles were on the dry side. Ice cream was Haagen-dazs -cocktails were good For the price, I would expect that the steak is cooked to what you order (7 oz filet mignon is about $60). Complimentary dessert was a nice touch, however if I paid for that dessert I would have been disappointed as they use store bought ice cream and charge about $18-20 for dessert. I think you are definitely paying for ambiance here.

Yelp
Loved everything about our visit to Summit House! We went on a Wednesday for their prime rib deal--such an amazing value. We got there early enough to catch happy hour, and it was totally worth it. The drinks were great, especially the espresso martini--highly recommend coming early to take full advantage. The prime rib was a 5/5--tender, flavorful, a must-order. The bone marrow mac and cheese was a bit of a miss for me--2/5. It lacked flavor and the bone marrow felt more like a gimmick than a real addition. The Brussels sprouts had great flavor--solid 4/5--but could've been crispier. The fries were perfect--crispy, hot, and delicious. 5/5. The creamed corn was also a standout--5/5 and love that it's complimentary! Not a fan of their creamed spinach, but to be fair, I usually don't like that dish anywhere. The ambiance is cozy and charming--it really does feel like you're dining in a house, which fits the name perfectly. If you get seated by the window, the view is amazing. The vibe is classy but relaxed--you don't have to dress up too fancy, casual is totally fine here. To top it off, the staff was incredibly sweet and even surprised us with a free dessert for our anniversary--such a thoughtful touch. Phenomenal experience overall. This is a perfect spot for a special occasion or just a great dinner out. Only downside: parking isn't the best. We had to park in the lower lot and walk a bit, but valet is available if you'd rather not deal with that. Highly recommend

Yelp
Celebrated our anniversary here for the second time for an awesome prime rib dinner. Food was spectacular and the service was great. Parking can be tricky but there is a valet available. Highly recommend the crab cakes!

Yelp
**UPDATED REVIEW** Still love this place! It holds a special place in my heart. The service & food is always great. The ONLY complaint I have is their desserts. All of them suck. I'm not sure why they can't come up with better desserts after all these years, but sadly it's one place I don't like getting dessert at. EVERYTHING ELSE 5 STARS!

Yelp
Hubby surprised me with a lovely dinner at Summit House and it did not disappoint. The views were beautiful, live music playing filled the atmosphere with a relaxing feel and the staff really went above and beyond to welcome us and even all signed a cute birthday card for me. Everything we ordered was amazing and had the right ingredients paired to make all the flavors stand out. We took our time and had a 3 hour dinner to really enjoy it all. Started with crab cakes and cocktails (rosemary old fashion and the Guava Gin cocktail) so good! Moved on to The watermelon salad wish was deliciously fresh and the French onion soup which was flavorful and rich. We then decided to share the short rib and order a bunch of sides. Short rib was perfectly cooked and served with a delicious Parmesan risotto. The sides were Mac and cheese, Brussel sprouts, truffle fries which felt like Mary poppins basket of fries, creamed corn and we couldn't miss out on the scallops! It was definitely too much and we got to enjoy a lot of leftovers the next day and it was all still delicious! Highly recommend you go and have an enjoyably relaxing dinner here!

Yelp
The Summit House is truly a gem in Fullerton -- from the service to the food and ambiance, everything was top-tier. We started our evening at the bar, which is a great place to relax while waiting for your reservation. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and we enjoyed a few drinks while listening to the live piano music, which really set the tone for the night. We also ordered the charcuterie board, which was beautifully presented and perfect for sharing. When our table was ready, we chose to sit outside to take in the beautiful view -- highly recommend this option if the weather's nice. For dinner, I went all in on the 62 oz Summit House Cut Roast Prime Rib of Beef, and it was perfection. Tender, flavorful, and cooked exactly how I like it. It came with their classic creamed corn au gratin, creamed spinach, and a warm Yorkshire popover -- rich, indulgent, and worth every bite. My cocktail of choice was the G & G -- made with Empress gin, guava purée, pineapple juice, fresh lime, and agave nectar. It was refreshing and beautifully balanced, not too sweet and just the right amount of citrus. Whether you're celebrating something special or just want an elevated dinner experience, The Summit House nails it on all fronts. I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
This place is a bit of a hidden gem--tucked away in the hills of Fullerton, I had no idea it was even there. The prime rib was absolutely outstanding. For vegetarians, the fresh basil pesto risotto is a thoughtful and flavorful option. On my second visit, I tried a few other dishes--the John Dory and the USDA Prime Filet Mignon. While they didn't quite blow me away, they were still a nice change of pace. Both presentation provided excellent sides. The potatoes that came with the Filet Mignon had a nice crunchy crust. The vibe is upscale and a bit on the dim side, which is pretty standard for fine dining and makes the place feel cozy and intimate. There are two parking lots available, with both self-parking and valet options for convenience.

Yelp
If you're craving a good steak, this is the place to be. The steaks are always consistent in taste and temperature(according to your liking) The sides are delicious as well. No one comes to steakhouse for fish but I have tried a few fish dishes, most were good. One special that was offered for OF THE DAY, was not to my liking. Chicken entree was good, surprisingly very juicy, so definitely recommended. Drinks are always on point. Their old fashioned and Manhattan are evenly mixed. If you prefer your Manhattans stirred, I would request for it. For some reason, for my most recent visit, I was given a shaken Manhattan. The ambience is cozy but pretty lively. It can get crowded so best to make a reservation. I've sat both outdoors and indoors and personally, I prefer indoors just due to temperature control. Patio would be good for a cooler day/night. They do seem to host a lot of events here so parking can be limited. Valet is best option to get you in quickly. Valet is based on tip; no set fee.

Yelp
Wanted some incredible food and ambience, braved an 1.5 hour Friday traffic for it. They hit the mark ambiance wise but fell incredibly short with the food, it was disappointing :/. We tried: Lobster Bisque- this was the best dish with a hearty helping of fresh lobster Prime rib, cottage and summit cuts- skinny crappy cuts Bone marrow Mac-looks cool, tastes okay John Dory- tasted like it sat out on a counter for awhile, Creamed corn-This was good The fresh bread was good served with the meal. The cocktails were well crafted. The service staff was great and the lovely birthday card was thoughtful. The food quality (at least what we ordered above) didn't match the price point nor the reputation of this restaurant in my opinion. Definitely disappointing, maybe we were just unlucky.

Yelp
Thanks for a great anniversary dinner! You exceeded our expectations. The prime rib was delicious. The whole meal was spot on, spinach, corn, Yorkshire pudding. We were dining outside with a nice view and Dakota was an excellent server.

Yelp
I've came here a couple times beforehand and it never disappoints. Last night however was just magical! We had a reservation at 7pm for dinner. It was special night since it was my boyfriend's birthday. We waited for 20 minutes until the hostess double checked our reservation and apologized for the delay. We waited a couple more minutes and then they informed us our table was ready! We walked through the restaurant towards the back and we were seated right beside the window the view of Orange County. My boyfriend even asked if I paid extra to get this view and I said no! We settled in and took in the view of Orange County and after a few minutes we were greeted by our server whole placed a birthday card signed by the staff onto our table. We both started off with drinks. I got a nice glass of wine while my boyfriend ordered his go to drink: an Old Fashioned. They gave us off with complimentary bread and butter then took our orders. We both went with the Roast Prime Ribs of Beef and got the Summit House Cut. It was served with creamed corn au gratin, creamed spinach and a Yorkshire popover. As if that wasn't enough we decided to add on a side of Bone Marrow Mac n Cheese. We had a good amount of leftovers to say the least (and we didn't mind at all!). This place has always been one of my favorite restaurants to dine so the food is always delicious and the view alone is beautiful. I give this place a 10/10, and can't wait to come back for another special occasion (or if I'm feeling really bougie haha!

Yelp
Absolutely one of my new favorite places to go for high quality prime rib. The prime rib was cooked to perfection (medium rare) and was tender and juicy. The horse radish and a jus sauce further enhanced the flavor of the prime rib. The Yorkshire pudding, creamed corn and creamed spinach that accompanied the prime rib were also very good. We also got the filet mignon which was also cooked to a perfect medium rare. I'm not gonna to say that the bone marrow Mac n cheese is overrated but it was close since I think it was more for the photos and allure than flavor (but reasonable minds can differ). Either way it was still good and wasn't too too expensive anyways, so that's why I wouldn't consider it overrated. We also ordered the ahi tuna sashimi was to me was mediocre and probably wouldn't order again. Service was good and attentive all night long. The complimentary bread was good. There was plenty of seating and the restaurant was clean and had a good atmosphere/ambiance.

Yelp
Tip #1 come on a Wednesday to enjoy the cottage cut prime rib for only $38 instead of 55! Tip #2: make a reservation for 5 and ask to be seated at a booth when you check in. It has a much more comfortable seats! Tip #3: if you would like a happy hour, sit at the tavern! They have a lovely live piano performance. Made a reservation for Wednesday of the week of Valentine's to take the advantage of the $38 prime rib! Even though I ended up not getting the $38 meal (cottage cut). I got the summit house cut, which was only $7 cheaper than the usual price compared to the cottage cut being $14 cheaper on Wednesdays. The food here is absolutely delicious! My husband and I loved their cream corn, and the waiter refilled our cream corn twice (thank you thank you!) We also got salmon creek both chardonnay and red. The salmon creek chardonnay was so good! Do give it a try~ You just cannot go wrong with this place for a romantic night dinner course. Do enjoy the meal and the ambiance! I definitely want to come back here on our next Valentine's day or any other special occasion! Service was not actually as good as I expected, but they were still kind!

Yelp
Came here for my birthday dinner, and can't wait to go back. There's ample parking but when we came for dinner on a weekday it was full. To make it easier on ourselves we just did valet. We had made reservations prior and were shown to our table. I was shocked to see a birthday card that the staff has signed, I thought it was the nicest gesture (my first time going to a restaurant that did this). We went over the menus and our server explained the choices of meat, sizing and all our questions. Of course going to a place known for their prime rib, that's what we all ordered. We have gotten an array of appetizers to share which included: crab cakes, ahi sashimi, lobster bisque, and hearts of romaine with Caesar dressing. Everything was delicious but what stood out to us were the crab cakes. Definitely a must try! We all order different sizes of prime rib depending on our appetite and each one came out perfectly cooked. It was rare, juicy and flavorful! It comes with their corn and creamed spinach which were heavenly. I think the only thing we didn't care for was the Yorkshire popover. But that could have been because of the bread basket that came out. It was so delicious, we were trying not to get full of it and butter alone. We also got the Brussels sprouts, bone marrow Mac n cheese, and truffle fries. Everything was delicious but our favorite was the corn, brussel sprouts and fries. Even though we came on a weekday evening, the place was packed! The restaurant is nice, fancier, and overall fun to dress up a little. We got free dessert for the birthday celebration. I couldn't have asked for a better night. A very good experience. I left feeling full and happy! Something even better?! They had the corn recipe in a take home recipe card! This place is so homey; I can't wait to come back for any occasion!

Yelp
BD Celebration April 18/2025 at 5:15 PM. Request: More Private dinning room next to the window. Beautiful room with a beautiful view. Server Noah 5 denomination server! Attentive but not hovering. The reason for my 4 review. We were seated, Noah told us about the two specials and took our drink orders. We decided to skip starters so we had room for dessert. New York cheese cake yummy. We knew what we were ordering. We were in no rush! My Husband's BD: Castle cut prime rib " cook Medium" Myself: Filet Minion cook " Medium" Our dinners came 3 minutes after we ordered before our bread & butter. Entrees came Hot! My Filet minion cooked to Medium well , DRY, NOT Pink my husband wanted to send it back, I said please don't it's ok. My husband would wait on my retire and not eat. I did not want his meal to get cold! Thank goodness for the two sauces. I just wish we had a few minutes to enjoy our cocktails, each other and the views before our entrees arrived. We didn't even get bread before our dinner arrived. SAD. Our bread came after our entrees were served. The BD Card from the staff was a special touch! Thank you! To the CHEF from A classically trained Chef! Please slow down your cook on Filets! This is the 4 th time you didn't get my cook right! 2/14 First well done, second re-fire Raw, 3 Medium well. 4/18 This time cook was Medium well , what the heck! You do NOT need to do a HARD Sear on Filets!! The heat needs to KISS the meat! PLEASE SEASON YOUR FOOD! Specially the Meat & potatoes!! I wish I could come back to the kitchen and cook my Filet! Chef you really need to watch the meat station! Touch, watch and season! I love the GC potato gratin is absolutely Devine. Our cocktails were spot on. Thank you Noah for a memorable evening. Next time. We will wait to order so our meals do not come so quick! I will Never Order a Filet Mignon Again! 4 Failed Cooks is enough for me! We look forward to making reservations for our 15 year Wedding Anniversary. See you soon. Thank you again.

Yelp
The summit house has been on my family's rotation for steakhouses over the years and I've been here 3 times. They had exquisite quality and service compared to other places but I think the food is what was missing this time around. The service was amazing as always and they're very attentive to our table all throughout the night. The ambiance is as expected from a steakhouse, but definitely one of the nice and classic places to eat. The food itself was a bit overly salted, and the meat wasn't cooked as perfectly as the previous time, and it felt that their appetizers were good, not great as some seasoning was off. I'd like to come back and try it again, but for now, I won't come back anytime soon.

Yelp
Been here for a wedding before but curious to see how the restaurant itself is. I made reservations through OpenTable for my boyfriend's birthday. Because it was a Monday, there were so many time slots available. Our server was Luke and he was fantastic. He was very kind and welcoming. The food of course was affordable and delicious. My boyfriend and I both got the smaller cut of the prime rib which included spinach, creamed corn and Yorkshire. All so good! We also recommend you starting out the scallops which were wrapped in bacon. We ordered the bone marrow Mac and cheese, which I am still dreaming of right now. The ambiance is a little fancy and comforting. I hope to come back soon! There is a lot of parking, and there is complimentary valet!

Yelp
Great restaurant, especially if you're visiting during Christmas, they have very old-fashioned Christmas decoration all over the place, including large nutcracker, a fireplace and stocking all over the place. The bar makes an excellent old-fashioned. The prime rib was slightly tough. What is stood out for me was the service the waitress was very pleasant. There was a very nice touch with a signed card by all employees when and if you're celebrating a special occasion.

Yelp
Great place to come for any occasion. Glad I was able to experience it during the holidays as it's decorated so cute! They also have carolers going from table to table that ask if you'd like them to sing a song. Reservations are best. The hostesses were friendly and the host that walked us to the table was so kind and got us a table by the window for the view! I thought that was very thoughtful. Our server was also great and charismatic. Both my friend I got the bone marrow mac and cheese to share as it is a large serving size. It's perfectly cheesy! A must to get. The 7oz filet mignon was our main dish that comes with potatoes, onion crisps and their side of creamed corn. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly! No complaints with our mains. The star of the show had to be the caramel bread pudding!! I would come back just for this alone. It was warm and had a little crunch with the pecans. Do not skip this when you come! You won't regret it! It was a great meal and would love to come back again!

Yelp
My family usually comes here for our bdays and is always a very pleasant experience. The service is always top notch and we never have to ask for anything because they are so on top of their game; especially refilling drinks/water which has always been something I felt you should never have to ask for. The food was great and we especially liked the creamed corn and bone marrow Mac n Cheese. Def check this place out!

Yelp
Consistently great food and service every time I visit the Summit House! The creamed corn is a must-try--it's rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious. The horseradish served with their steaks is also a standout. The staff is always attentive, and you can tell they take pride in what they do. The menu has a great variety, but no matter what I order, I'm never disappointed. If you're in the area, definitely make this a top spot to visit!

Yelp
OMG. Lovely time! This is a late review of my Thanksgiving dinner at the summit, and we had a really memorable night. We sat by the outside patio, and the views are amazing. The Christmas decor is really beautiful and professionally made. The prime rib is so delicious as well as the appetizers and desserts! My 5 year old niece says she wants to come back the next night haha! Thank you for the experience! The service is also friendly! Also, I forgot my wallet that night and they stored it for me safely the next day! Thank you!

Yelp
Came here second time. This time was for thanksgiving luncheon. Was able to order the prime rib meal set. Pros: great view and ambience. Service was standard. Parking was easy. Really for a nice meal with a view, this is one of the best spots around the Fullerton area. Cons: food was meh. For the price really had higher expectations. Prime rib asked for medium , tasted more like medium well. The garnishes sadly tasted better. Definitely get the horse radish cream that comes along with the prime rib as it can help with the dryness of the meat. Dessert has crème brûlée. Tad bit on the too sweet side Overall would only recommend here if you want the ambience. for example family meals or special occasions. Definitely not somewhere you'd come for the food itself

Yelp
I feel like everyone comes here to celebrate an anniversary or a birthday, and for me, it was the latter. Both of us ordered the summit house cut which I think was 11 oz or something around there. It turned out to be a lot more than I thought so I brought some of it home. I loved the creamed spinach though so I finished that and I also couldn't get enough of the whipped horseradish. The Yorkshire popover and creamed corn au gratin were just alright though in my opinion. It made my night though that they offered a free birthday dessert because I feel like not many restaurants do that anymore. We had the English trifle which was a sweet way to end the meal. I highly recommend making reservations in advance and if you want a good deal, go on Wednesdays because the prime rib is a lot cheaper.

Yelp
We came on Father's Day celebration again. The rib eye was a little chewy, the prime rib was overcooked, and the pork chop was dry. The meat quality was a miss this time. The fish dishes and desserts were delicious. Lobster bisque was on the saltier side. French onion was on point. The service was a little off as well. It maybe just an off night for the but would come back again.

Yelp
Great steakhouse! Parking was a bit packed if you didn't want to pay, but liked the location and view. Got the lobster bisque soup, was good but not a lot of lobster, which I understand. Drink was great as well, an old fashioned. The steak was cooked perfectly as well, my favorite is their unlimited creamed corn that they offer. Creamed spinach was mid, and bread as well. Would definitely come back, had heaters outside, great service and ambiance

Yelp
My boyfriend was meeting my parents for the first time, so I wanted to pick a restaurant that was guaranteed to impress--Summit House was the perfect choice! The atmosphere is elegant but comfortable, the service is top-notch, and the food is always amazing. Back when I was a wedding planner, I used to recommend this venue to couples all the time, so I knew we were in for a great experience. We each ordered the Prime Rib, and my dad got the Sea Bass, which wasn't even on the menu--huge props to the staff for accommodating special requests. We also shared some appetizers, salad, and the bread pudding. Every dish was fantastic, but their signature Prime Rib was on another level--tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Whether it's for a wedding, birthday, family gathering, or corporate event, I highly recommend Summit House. Definitely a place worth visiting!

Yelp
First time here for Prime Rib Wednesdays, but certainly not the last ! We had an amazing date night here around 7pm and it checked off all our expectations and more to say the least. First impressions, exceptionally clean and and entrancing space, the moment you walk in you feel like you're immersed into the decor and liveliness of everything, and the live piano playing Disney and beetles medleys was a real treat. I got the summit house cut cooked medium and my wife got the standard cut below it and we were both very impressed with how the food tasted. We've been to other restaurants that specialize in prime rib and sometimes the medium may run a tad on the rarer side but these guys got it perfect! The spinach was thick and more intense (in a good way) compared to other ones we have had come a bit too runny but that was not the case here. We also enjoyed the strawberry mule and decoy Pinot noir which added nicely to the overall meal. Topped off with the caramel bread budding and I was sold for the night -- Matt was exceptionally helpful, informative, and accommodating throughout our entire evening. We were impressed by his attentiveness and how he always checked up on us at an opportune time with a great pace. Thanks !

Yelp
Summit House never disappoints. First of all, our waitress, Daisy is AMAZING! She's funny, attentive and super sweet. Ambiance is beautiful and so romantic with a big fire place and chandelier in the center of the room. We came here to celebrate my mother in law's birthday and she can be tough so it's important to make sure she has a great night and loves her food. I'm happy to report that she enjoyed everything! She raved about how perfect her rib eye was and how everything tasted so good. I had the filet with the potatoes and creamed corn, side of Brussel sprouts and Mac and cheese. Make sure to order the starter platter. Will definitely come back and recommend.

Yelp
While Lawry's has always been my go-to spot for prime rib, Summit House always held my curiosity. Located on top of a hill with panoramic views, the restaurant features a charming, rustic Old English theme paired with a classic menu, giving it a warm, romantic ambiance. Their prime rib menu offering is somewhat similar to Lawry's with the various cuts of beef, Yorkshire pudding, creamed spinach, and creamed corn. While the prime rib was tender, it tasted somewhat under seasoned; I found myself needing to dunk it in the au jus. The Yorkshire pudding, known for its simplicity in ingredients, also lacked flavor. The escargot was the best part of our dinner, but where can you go wrong with anything smothered in butter and garlic? The cocktails we had were excellent, with the Lavender Lemon Drop being the highlight. Where the food is lacking, Summit House makes up for through their service. Our waiter was excellent in being attentive, friendly and professional, checking up on us in the right moments and making us feel welcome. I'm happy to have finally given the restaurant a try but I think I'll be sticking to what I know when it comes to prime rib with Lawry's instead.

Yelp
Went to summit house on my birthday for the Wednesday special! Branden took care of us and we had such a great time. We ordered a cab and Pinot noir, shrimp cocktail, Caesar salad, and two orders of prime rib. Everything was so delicious. The Caesar salad is a must! So simple yet, so amazing. Love the cards the restaurant gives out during special celebrations, such a nice touch! Be sure to make a reservation on open table and arrive early if you want to self park. Will ask for a table near the piano next time!

Yelp
A great place for dining to celebrate and occasion, for a date or family gathering. Valet parking and easy access for those needing wheelchair accessibility into dining room. Food is delicious and presentation is perfect.

Yelp
Returned to Summit House for our anniversary and was blown away by the service and food. You really can't beat the ambiance and vibe here. The main dining room doesn't seem to have a bad seat. But sitting next to the large decorated window of course really sets the mood. Food also came out super fast. We got the John Dory and Prime Rib. The creamy horseradish really makes the prime rib. Can't go wrong with either of these dishes. For dessert we had the creme brulee with fresh berries. Topped off the meal! Definitely going to make it a yearly tradition. Recommend Summit House for any special occasion!

Yelp
I had been waiting for OC Restaurant Week to take my husband here for a celebration. I made an early dinner reservation for Saturday and was seated within a few minutes. It was our first time dining here, and I was really excited. Perched atop a small hill, the restaurant offers views of the city. Once seated, our server walked us through both the regular menu and the special OC Restaurant Week prix-fixe menu, mentioning that the prix-fixe option was not shareable. When I asked for clarification, he responded, "It's already discounted, and if we see you sharing, we will pull silverware." The remark felt a bit off-putting, but we brushed it off and focused on enjoying our meal. We opted for the three-course prix-fixe meal, which included Lobster Bisque, Prime Rib (with a castle-cut upgrade), New York-style cheesecake, and a glass of wine. We also ordered an additional prime rib entrée. The food was delicious--especially the Lobster Bisque, which paired wonderfully with the warm bread. The prime rib was cooked to a perfect medium rare, and the horseradish was light and fluffy. Despite the odd comment from the server, the overall service was great, and we had a good time!

Yelp
We come to the Summit House annually for my BIL's birthday, which happens to fall during restaurant week. The food is consistently delicious and top notch. We sat in a booth this time for the first time and it made the experience much more enjoyable. When seated at a table there is frequently someone bumping into me/my chair because the tables are very close together. The views from the windows are breathtaking. Highly recommended.
