Good hot dogs (with great vegan options too!) However, I just wasn't mindblown by the flavors. Will I come back? Sure, if I'm in the area and looking for a quick bite. Will I drive 30 minutes for the sole purpose of getting their hot dogs? Probably not. I also wish they have a permit to sell beer to go with their hot dogs--but that's just my personal preference.

I had the Sumo Dog. It was delicious. The fries with wasabi seasoning were also damned good. The sushi rice tots were alright, but I wouldn't get em again. The lemongrass lemonade was less sweet than most lemonades, but sweet enough to still taste good and went pretty well with the dog.

If you’re somebody that is afraid to venture into a tiny little hole in the wall then you will be doing yourself a great disservice. My wife and I stumbled upon this place on the way to an event. It was literally a sign , a small window and a metal gate. Never did I understand what was waiting for us just beyond the door. Part of being a Chef is finding and eating good food. It was soooooo good I went back the same day!!!

Cheap quality eats are always a wonderful find and at Sumo Dog, this is guaranteed. $10-11 hotdog/burger combo with a choice of one side is a steal. They have 3 protein options for their hotdogs - pork sausage, wagyu beef, and a vegan dog. We ordered the Miso Katsu Dog - a bit tough to eat and the panko crust was a bit much on the dog, but the coleslaw topping was delicious. The Bacon Bahn Mi was pretty delicious and is a classic choice. We got the wagyu beef for both and I found it quite meaty and dense. I wished it was juicier and more tender. Next time, I’ll definitely try their pork sausage. MUST-TRY: SUSHI RICE TOTS were pretty interesting. Nice crunchiness and sticky sushi rice inside topped with furikake. Their spicy mayo is pretty good and they offer a vegan option as well. Despite being a hotdog joint, the SUMO BURGER was pretty bomb!! Juicy, great flavours, soft bun, and the pickled peppers were delish!! This was definitely the best bite for me.

14 bucks for a hot dog, tator tots, and a coke. I don't know, seems high for what you get. It's not like the food is bad. I found it just okay. For what you're paying, I'd rather have pink's on La Brea. To be honest, those LA dirty dogs that are a buck fifty on most street corners taste better, even without all the fancy toppings. The people working were nice and the service was great but it takes a monster flavorful hot dog to warrant the cost.

Sumo Dog brings the best of both worlds to KTown in its East meets West hotdog concept. Sumo Dog - really great pork dog with pickled peppers, wasabi relish, spicy mayo, teriyaki sauce etc. A little zip and super delicious. Sushi Rice Tots - similar topping treatment, but the crispy rice is awesome. Lemongrass Lemonade - must have to balance the flavor. Light and not too sweet. Can't wait to go back!

WOW! The vegan Chilli dog is so good and my husband loves the Bacon Banh mi. This is a really good meal. It keeps me full. At first, I thought, a hot dog is not going to fill me up for dinner but, it did! This is by far the best hot dogs! The staff is very friendly and helpful. This is my second time and I will keep coming.

Tried the Misu Katsu and Sumo Dog. Both were fantastic! Season tots were unique with that kick of wasabi. Would love to try the rice tots next time (sold out at the time).
