Sun Basket

I’ve subscribed to sun basket for 6 years, but just cancelled. Their fresh produce has recently frequently become unacceptable and when I ask for a meal refund because the meal is ruined, they offer only $4 per person refund. They say the meal includes organic produce but they frequently swap for non- organic. They often do not include the recipe card. They charge significantly more for shipping than their competition. They’ve recently added a minimum $65 per order, which is new. They automatically choose 3 meals and ship them unless you change the choices on time. I’ve been able to mostly make my choices on time; but their app doesn’t let you delete meals from your cart until your cart is at least $65. So if you don’t like the meals they selected for you, you can’t delete them until you add your choice(s) if deleting them falls under the $65. In this way it’s easy to forget to delete their choices and becomes confusing. They should change it so you can have an empty cart if you want until you make your choices and then save. The current way their cart works is not customer- centric. But mostly I’m not happy with subpar produce and customer service for not refunding for unusable meals. I’ve found another meal kit provider that is a lot less expensive and is completely flexible on app interface.

I've used Sun Basket for years and sadly had to cancel service because their product quality and customer service has degraded. The menus are too predictable. The instructions are often incorrect. Produce quality often subpar. Without notification they changed delivery service from reliable fedex to a service that never delivered before mealtime. And worst no attempt by the customer service department to correct errors.

TIGHT, LIGHT and ALRIGHT arriving to the business and backing to a door is pretty tight, BUT not impossible. (good for those who want to practice their backing skills.) every time I've came here, I've gotten loads no heavier than 25k. maybe that's just my experience, but something to note if you have a concern about fast you'll be loaded and able to move going down California highways. I had a 10am appointment today, arrived at 9am and left at 12:00pm. so definitely not the fastest to load up, but they got the job done. overall, the staff is nice and considering I wasn't in such a rush to get out, it was an alright experience. wouldn't mind coming back.

Meals were decent and for the most part I liked the options. However, we received multiple boxes where the meat packages either had burst opened or had a slit in them and the juices had leaked everywhere. We were offered money off our next delivery, but no replacement for the damaged goods...so essentially we either made the dish without the meat or had to get our own meat from the store - so paid extra money. Not worth the cost in my opinion.

Small place but you can overnight on the side not blocking the docks. They open at 5am and unload really quickly. Make sure you enter at the 2nd entrance or you will facing the docks from blind side.

Corrupted company. The place needs new management. People say the place is clean. I see alot of people not wash their hands. Especially the people coming out of the bathrooms. This place should be more on top of things like that to prevent customers from getting sick. When will they actually enforce who knows. But I would be very careful and choose wisely if you are going to order from this place. Too many people over there getting away with too much. There are even people that smoke weed in the front of the building and in the parking lot. Think twice before going with this company.

My second week and already three major issues getting key ingredients delivered with order. I've ordered chicken lettuce wraps, got rotten lettuce and no ground chicken with my order. My second order, same thing. This week is my second week ordering and I've opened one meal: Greek skewers with chicken. No chicken!!! I am cancelling all future orders. They will give you a credit for your order, but you need to plan on ordering several extra meals because you might be eating vegan for the night when they forget to pack your protein. Really disappointed after I thought this would be a wonderful company who could save me time after working 12-14 hour days and I could eat really clean. I'm bummed! Sedona Business Owner
