Sun Diner

This place was super unexpected and literally right next to the busy chaos of Broadway Street and so many people that I thought it would be crazy inside of the restaurant as well, but boy, was I wrong! Once you walk inside, it's quiet as ever, and you can only hear what's happening inside the diner. We were greeted by a friendly server, and I proceeded to order a waffle which was absolutely perfect, fresh orange juice, & the cheese crusted breakfast wrap, which had exactly that....cheese crust. it was absolutely amazing! My girlfriend ordered the short rib hash, and it was good, although there could've been more short rib meat added into it because there was literally little to no short rib. The orange juice was actually fresh, and the waffle was perfectly crispy and fluffy. I highly recommend this breakfast stop and will be going back once we return to Nashville! Thank you to all the servers and back of house staff as well!

Can't go wrong with Sun Diner! Every time we stop by Nashville we get our brunch here! It's a classic spot with a vibe! The waiters/waitresses there are always super friendly and the service is always very fast, even when there is a line which there always is, it goes by quick and it moves along. My wife loves the chicken and waffles and I usually explore something on the menu, this time I had the chicken steak and it was tender, crunchy, and well seasoned, just thinking about it makes my mouth water. But we've tried their steak as well and it's on point, you won't be disappointed. Besides the food, there's a lot of history to the place and you can tell from the vintage photos hanged up on the wall. It's a must visit if you want to experience a bit of Nashville!

Our waitress was fantastic. She had a smile and a positive attitude. It got really busy, and she was the only waitress working and knocked it out of the park. The food and service were awesome. You get huge portions with your order. I highly recommend this place. All the stars pictures that have been there are hanging on the wall.

Really fun historic/iconic place to have breakfast. We stopped in for breakfast, not expecting much but rather for the nostalgic atmosphere. However, we were pleasantly surprised. Service was excellent and attentive, and the breakfast was delicious with generous portions. Highly recommend for breakfast. Hangover biscuits & sausage gravy were great!

So much good here. Just go!!! Love the old feel and the music. Based on Sun Studios. Breakfast is served all day. Our food was the best. Even my picky eater gave it a 10/10. I do suggest getting there early or making reservations. If feels up in a hurry.

Went here around 8:00pm while staying in Nashville for a few nights, there were a couple people there. Super chill, relaxed vibes. Our server was so nice and attentive, the food was incredible! Such a neat little place to stop by if you’re walking around downtown Nashville.

People and atmosphere - very nice and interesting! Food…. very underwhelming…. their most popular dish the chicken and waffles…. the waffles were still dough. and the hangover biscuits were pretty dry even though there was gravy… cool atmosphere and location though.

This is a great place to duck in for a quick bite after braving the crazy sidewalks. As you can see, I couldn't even get to everyone's plates to take pictures before they dug in. 5 stars all around from everyone! I had the Elvis Burger (best I've had), and my other party members had the Cherrie's Pancakes, the Hangover Biscuits & Gravy & Eggs, and the Love Me Tenders. Our server was so super nice and the atmosphere is lovely! Great value for a great price with great people happy to serve us.
