Proper Chinese food in Windsor! Decided to give this place a shot and wasn’t disappointed.. service was quick but there was a bit of wait for the food as the restaurant was quite busy. The food was delicious! Chicken wings are awesome… the roast pork was actually very yummy, and the General Tao chicken was absolutely fantastic! Highly recommended and would definitely return next time we’re in town! 🙏👌👍🏻🤤

Went to try a new place today and stopped in at Sun Hong B B Q & Seafood Restaurant on wyandotte street west, let me just say it did not disappoint. From the service to the food and just the atmosphere alone was so welcoming. I HIGHLY recommend this place!!!!everything came out fast and our waitress was super attentive to us and made sure to double check everything so that our order was correct! We will definitely be going back (we got the roasted meat combination, the szechuan chicken, spicy popcorn prom and the two meat over rice)

Went there yesterday. We ordered duck, noodles, and dumplings. It was delicious. The foods came quickly, except for the dumpling. But the server did tell us before ordering that dumplings make take some time. Their steamed pork dumplings are definitely worth the wait. It's really good. The server is friendly, too. P.S. Sorry, I took the pics after eating some of it. 😅

It is such a shame I had to edit this review, but what the owners do is unacceptable and cunning. I have never had an issue with them until today. My mother and I just stopped by to pick up some roasted meats for dinner. My mother told the male working at the roast meat station that she only wanted a small portion of the sausage. The male muttered to himself smiling and stated “are you sure that’s enough for you?” Instead of giving us the small portion of sausage we wanted, he grabbed a brand new long sausage and chopped it up without us knowing. The wife even threw that box at the bottom of the bag hoping we wouldn’t figure out their trick. We didn’t find out until we paid after and noticed the small sausage we originally pointed to was still in the case. The owners deliberately hide behind the little wall and grab bigger meats in the hopes you wouldn’t find out. This way, they can overcharge you. This is absolutely disgusting behavior as he knew very well what he did with the comment and with his wife placing the bag at the bottom of the bag. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone, but seeing as they are the only ones who sell roasted meats, I highly advise you to watch the male who grabs and cuts your meat before paying. Even if the wife tells you to come up to counter to pay, do not do so until the male is done grabbing and chopping everything up for you. This is how they managed to overcharge us (by telling my mom to walk over to pay as her husband grabbed the bigger portion).

Our first choice happened to be closed on a Sunday night so we went here - and I’m so glad we did! The food here is probably the most authentic Chinese food we’ve ever had. We are from Indiana and drive over the border just for dinner. It was phenomenal!! The BBQ pork was amazing; both soups were excellent and the rice had an amazing chicken flavor. Unfortunately, I’m going to think all Chinese food back home is bland and no where near this good. The service was also very good. You know it’s great when there’s a line in their market (where you can get fresh takeout). Wish it was closer - loved it!

We love dining at this restaurant. The food was scrumptious and always a delight to spend meal with families and friends. Great friendly atmosphere. Reasonable price, portion is more than enough and there's even leftovers to bring home. Highly recommend this fantastic place for dining in, take out/delivery for any occasion. 💖 You go! You'll never be disappointed 🌞🤗

I have eaten at Sun Hong for many years. I was first taken there by one of Windsor’s top chefs and the head of the Culinary Arts program at St. Clair College for over 25 years. While we there we saw other notable Windsor Chefs eating there as well. They have the best Peking Duck outside of Hong Kong, The food is always served fresh and quickly virtually every time we have been there. The staff are outstanding - they remember exactly what we like to order every time. They have no liquor licence unfortunately- so my wife brings wine in an insulated bottle and sips on it while we are there. The place is very clean and nicely decorated. I cannot recommend it highly enough. The place is constantly packed with ethnic Chinese, not just students, a lot of families as well, so you know the food is authentic. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. We are looking forward to getting back there next week.

This unassuming little restaurant boasts a delectable menu and incredible, unmatched customer service! If you’re around Windsor, do yourself a favour and try this place for dinner. It was some of the best Chinese food I have had in a long time. We particularly loved the chicken corn soup and the kung pao shrimp. The staff was attentive and truly went above and beyond the entire time we were there. Prices were very reasonable too!! 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND :)
