Went for my daughter’s 18th birthday (which I stated on the booking) and have to say I was a little disappointed.
Restaurant was almost empty but it was a Monday so I suppose that’s to be expected, but it’s a lovely cosy village pub.
Sat at the table and was told the specials and my husband asked for a gluten free menu - have to say this is a little confusing as you have to search through what you can and can’t have.
We all chose and then were told we couldn’t have the mussels - it would have been nice to be told they were unavailable when we were handed the menu.
Ordered drinks and couldn’t have what we wanted there either as the menu was about to change apparently?!
Soup for start - which was amazing!
Mains were also very good, can’t fault the food, although it is a little on the pricey side plus 12.5% service is added, which I feel should be up to the customer what they decide to pay for service!
So with not being able to have what we wanted, the waitress wasn’t the friendliest and the fact it was my daughter’s 18th birthday we came away a little disappointed!
