Stopped in for the first time after wanting to for a bit and as very impressed! Excellent atmosphere, coffee was great, and the baked goods were phenomenal. The Mexican Chocolate Donut was SO good. Will definitely be back to try other menu items. Sandwiches look great as well! I love the vibe here!

Cool little spot. The breakfast tacos dipped in the campfire salsa were very good. The breakfast sandwich was good, bread was soft, but I felt like it needed a sauce. The brown butter donut was decent. Arnold Palmer was on the more sour side. It didn’t take too long for the food to come out. The baristas are quick.

Absolutely loved this coffee shop! My latte was hands down the best I’ve ever had, rich, flavorful, and perfectly brewed. The atmosphere is fun and inviting, making it a great spot to relax or catch up with friends. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Can’t wait to come back!

Been wanting to go here for ages and it was so so worth it! Came for the chai, which was so good, spicy and flavorful. Will keep coming for that and everything else. Would esp. recommend anything with their kimchi and the Mexican chocolate donuts. Abundant indoor and outdoor seating, plus lots of fun merch and other food products like salsas and cookie dough to go. Good, fast service. This spot is a gem.

Overhyped, overpriced, food underwhelming. Sandwich that says it has garden greens is literally one lettuce leaf, barely any mayo. Forgot to add scallions; not worth the price. Takes forever to get your food prepared. Chocolate chip cookie tasted basic as if I bought at a gas station. Coffee was good. Wouldn’t come back

The food remains sublime. There is not a single dish that won't knock your socks off. It is still the most funky and fun coffeehouse on the Cape.

The frittata is spectacular as is the gf muffin and the coffee - which for espresso drinks is probably the best I’ve had. I have a feeling everything else is great too The Mexican chocolate doughnut is a sight to behold. I go way out of my way to go there. It’s a great place

Love the industrial vibe layout, I got a Mexican hot chocolate, a breakfast sandwich and my partner got a cake doughnut and the breakfast tacos. The food was delicious, there was a bit of a wait but it is the off season. Definitely will return!

The food was amazing, casual atmosphere, ambiance- family friendly. Kim-cheese tacos were great! The cheese burgers were very good too.

HEALTHY, LOCAL SOURCED. DELICIOUS FOOD, FRIENDLY SERVICE TEAM, GOOD VIBRATIONS! I only visit the Cape two or three times a year because I live in California. When I walk into Sunbird I can't help thinking "I'M PICKIN UP GOOD VIBRATIONS"! There is a warm buzz as customers enjoy delicious food organic, vegan, paleo, gluten free SUNBIRD DOES IT ALL! The only problem is the menu reads like a "DREAM/WISH LIST. Everything is so good. This trip I came in three times for breakfast. The breakfast sandwich is awesome and they offer eggs your way. Quinoa porridge is a health way to warm up on cold days and get some protein at the same time. I couldn't resist the "Grilled Kimchi-eeze" sandwich which is spicy fermented cabbage with an egg (variation on a grilled cheese. SUNBIRD has begun making their own wines. Always new and delicious menu! Great espresso & bevs.

Nice little place. Found through yelp The logo looks like some surf shop clothing store but have nice food and great baked goods. Service was quick and great seating area as well. We ordered breakfast sandwiches and chicken salad sandwich. Both were great. Breakfast sandwich was so good. Great bread perfect egg bacon and nice sauce. Chicken salad was on the sweeter side. Also had blueberry mint jalapeno soda. Interesting flavor. Little too sweet for me but was good. Corn muffin was great. Much better than other place i had and cheaper too. Full of berries and crumbling corn texture. Will definitely visit again.

We came here to pick up quick coffees to go twice. The ambiance is vibing and the coffee menu has great variety. I ordered a cortado with oat milk to go and it was nice and strong, just how I like it. I also got a cornbread rhubarb muffin which was interesting. I wouldn't order it again because it wasn't my cup of tea, but it was certainly creative and stuffed with cooked rhubarb. The muffin also had a syrup coating it that gave off a honey sweetness. Staff is very friendly and your order comes out fast fast! If I am ever in the Orleans area again, I will be sure to revisit.

Food was so fresh and amazing, but the workers were heinous. So rude and short with customers, not sure what their problem was. Overall good food and clean environment but won't be back because of experience with employees.

As if I needed another cute coffee shop on the Cape! Sunbird however blows the breakfast game out of the water. Multiple people suggested checking this place out and I'm glad I did. I got the breakfast sandwich, which was delicious. Thick cut bacon, super soft and flavorful bread and amazing citrus mayo. I would definitely order it again. We also shared a few pastries, which were good. The chocolate croissant was our favorite!

Ode to the Bird Breakfast Sandwich! The ingredients themselves are standard--bread, a fried farm egg, bacon, mayo, and greens--but the result goes beyond good to sublime. The bread is ciabatta and is the perfect combo of crisped outside and soft enough inside to give it body, but not so chewy that you have to work at it. You can get your egg over hard or easy, which is the way I recommend it, to get some nice warm, drippy yolk. Two thick pieces of delicious smoky bacon, some greens and scallions, and a mayo punched up with a citrus hit. Seriously, perfection! This is a breakfast sandwich elevated (you could have it for any meal of the day, honestly). There were other fresh and tasty menu items too, but for the Bird Sandwich alone, I'll be sure to stop by any time I'm on the Cape.

Wow-new fav breakfast place. Recommend ordering and pick up to avoid the crowds. The Bird Breakfast Sammie is delicious. So fresh and so yummy. The tacos are outstanding. Order the extra salsa. Worth it! If you want something on the sweet side I would recommend the cinnamon rolls walnut glaze. It knocked me over and my husband would not give me another bite. 5 star jealously.

Sunbird has great coffee and breakfast sandwiches. I highly recommend stopping here to jump-start your day.

Good but inconsistent and menu gets boring One day excellent focaccia with different toppings- delicious pesto, zucchini in summer, mushrooms, etc. But go in again and focaccia is plain and tastes stale. Soup specials are homemade and delicious: parsnip with apple, minestrone. Pastries need improvement. Seems they take pastries from Pain D'Avignon and then add drizzles of chocolate. Not a great croissant experience. Wish they made their own. They usually have a corn muffin. Would like to see mor inventive, fresh and varied options. The doughnuts are good, Mexican chocolate- yum! Coffee is good but the baristas can be friendly or grumpy. While I believe in trans rights, not sure a trans right tshirt with knives pictured on it (what?!) or a Don't Suck tshirt is appropriate. My 6 year old is an early reader and I heard Don't Suck for the rest of the day after going in there.

Found this place open off season on a holiday and what a pleasant surprise! Excellent selection, and high quality food including vegetarian and gluten free.Highly recommend if you find yourself in Orleans - apparently most times of the year.

Easily the best chai latte on Cape. They use Mem Tea and the spice and milk ratio to tea is perfect. They have divine treats. Breakfast items are highly focused on fried eggs and pork. I am not a fan of either so choices are limited. The breakfast porridge is lovely. I recommend sharing. It is a chill place to sit and enjoy quiet convo. A lovely crew of staff. Note to Chef: please consider less pork fried egg options for breakfast

Breakfast tacos were good. Cornbread muffin was better. The tacos were good but we're a little dry so definitely take their refomndatiln of adding pickles and sauce. Wish it had been included. They had slightly off hours so be aware but will definitely come back.

This place has a FANTASTIC menu. Kimchi eg sandwich. YES!! Delicious! Baked goods...DELICIOUS! Everything very good here. They get busy so the service can be a bit slower than you want but worth the wait. Great coffee as well.

Absolutely epic breakfast sandwich. There are a lot of good options for food and snacks (hello chocolate chip cookie) and great coffee too. Also recommend the focaccia bread if they have any slices left.

Delicious! I wanted something different for my take out breakfast while on the Cape. Sunbird definitely had my back in this aspect! I decided to try egg tacos! I was so excited to try this amazing take on breakfast food! It was basically fried eggs style and they threw this yummy sauce on their breakfast potatoes as well! It was sooo delish and I would totally order from them again in the future! I highly recommend!!

Absolutely wonderful cafe! The chocolate Mexican donut is out of this world, and the cinnamon rolls were beautiful! The Vietnamese coffee was a work of art.

Enjoyed their cold brew coffee and an almond croissant. Lots of vegan, GF, vegetarians and organic choices. Small amount of seating and people are not in a hurry, so getting a seat during weekends is hit or miss. (I missed.) They do a good amount of call ahead/online ordering and it's organized and easy to find your order. The staff are all very friendly and work well together creating a friendly and comfortable atmosphere.

Found this place on our way to Provincetown and it's an easy location to drop in, grab a quick bite, and continue on our road trip. We had the Bird Breakfast Sandwich and it was ginormous. It was packed with lots protein and was very filling! I also ordered the Sunbird Burger and was very disappointed. The sandwich was yummy except that it sat in a pool of the burger juices. The bottom bun soaked up the juices and was mushy and the texture just made me gag and I couldn't finish it. The guy next to me also ordered the burger and he was struggling to eat it as well. It was a mess and you had to go wash up after it. The fried potatoes were a great side to enjoy with the sandwiches. Great coffee, fresh baked breads, and treats!

Forgot to take photos but other posts show truth. Mexican chocolate donut. GET IT. Unique flavors. Moist. Delicious. Three of us shared one. Then you say "amen." The breakfast sandwich is delicious with egg and big slab bacon. He ate all his. My daughter and I shared one. Roll is perfect and different. Makes the morning sandwich unique. Breakfast tacos. Two per order. More nicely cooked fried eggs and bacon on corn tortillas. He had one later as a part of lunch. She and I split one right away. Yum. Sticky bun? Very good too. I ate more than I typically eat. We did takeout. Place was busy cause food is good. Repeat: get Mexican chocolate donut. A must. Coffees good too. Sunbird is awesome.

Be warned: this is not a good place to bring your family. I will start by saying this: I like Sunbird -- it was one of my go-to places to take myself on a date. The food is thoughtful and wholesome; the vibe, bohemian and cool. I've been a customer for years (and remember when it used to be the Sparrow!) and have spent an embarrassing amount of money here. What makes them unfriendly to families, you ask? Their complete and arbitrary lack of flexibility. No toast after 11am. No kid-friendly options. No way to have your eggs scrambled. (I find this one particularly mind-blowing... you mean you don't have a fork and a bowl back there? You mean I can't pay you an extra dollar or two to scramble the egg for my 14 month old? What?) TL;DR: Their approach to people is cold and they prioritize their menu over their customers. There are no exceptions (not even for local regulars!). For single people, it may be be fine. For families who need more support, flexibility, and warmth, there are plenty of other options in Orleans.

Finally tried the Mexican Chocolate donut 2 days after getting it & it was an instant must-have item! It was moist & not super sweet. The glazed donut is less stellar but is still good. The chocolate cookie has the soft texture that I prefer over crunchiness kind.

Always delicious and always consistent. A rarity on Cape Cod! Staff is super friendly and the vibe is welcoming and communal. My first stop in Orleans. Love the breakfast sandwich, smashed potatoes and yummier than usual salad. All of their sauces and dressings are amazing too. Small menu but you can get what you need. Coffee, Yum.

Good breakfast place. Not cheap but good quality. Like there coffee and espresso. Wish they had more seating gets a little tight during service. Nice staff. Would recommend.

Great salads and the best burger on Cape Cod! I just wish they were open later in the day.

The was pretty good but pricy. For all the picky eaters I suggest somewhere else but if this if you vibe power to you and enjoy this great place

It's noon on a rainy winter Saturday, and you've got a picky eater four year old who wants toast? I don't think so, the kitchen couldn't possibly fill this request seeing as toast isn't offered after 11am. Dear person working the register yesterday, thank you for making my day just that extra bit more difficult.

We arrived at 1AM and woke up famished. Sunbird came up as #1 in Orleans and we just headed over. They're take out only, hoping to open for dining in June. We ordered online and our order was ready within 20 minutes, with a text alert. Their operation is top notch. And the food is amazing. We had Bird Breakfast sandwiches, rice porridge, and the fried fingerlings. The flavors were divine, the over easy eggs cooked perfectly. And the porridge was fantastic! 100% we'll be back this weekend.

Small, little coffe shop with a limited menu and quirky flavors. The quinoa porridge was made with pickled cranberries and ginger so of course we had to try it. Strange flavor pairs... I believe the cranberries may have been pickled in rosemary? The kids' hot chocolate had an orange flavor to it? And the bird sandwich had a citrusy mayo. Everything on the menu seemed to have a little interesting to expected flavor to it. Everything we tried was good- probably not dishes that I would crave often, but it was an enjoyable brunch and fun to place the flavors we were tasting.

Just had an amazing lunch at the Sunbird and had to write about it. As a gluten-free diner, I was thrilled to see the amount of gluten-free options available for me, from these amazing breakfast tacos, to the three baked goods I brought home to try (cookie, almond cake, and corn-cranberry muffin). With robust and somehow light flavor profiles in everything they prepare, it is truly a delight to enjoy their food. The decor is relaxed and hip, the staff is warm and helpful, plus they have an eye towards the planet by using compostable containers and utensils. We appreciated their cleanliness, open air space, air filters, and health-conscious signage on display, too. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed the Sunbird today--thank you!

I am newly obsessed with this spot. I thought finding an appealing place on the middle of the Cape would be harder but Sunbird had amazing drinks, vegetarian friendly options, local snacks, and a really cute and inviting atmosphere. We specifically came back to try more before going home.. I had the best matcha latte I've ever had, the fried potatoes and breakfast tacos were unreal, AND there is Miller high life in the cooler if you don't want a horchata latte or a really good cold brew. Big fan, will return

Very neat little restaurant that I was fortunate to find in Orleans while visiting. I had the bird breakfast sandwich with egg, bacon on grilled ciabatta. It was just awesome. Loved the service and the low key approach to the restaurant. It's always nice to be able to have a Mimosa with breakfast and as I was on vacation I indulged. Really neat place, highly recommended.

Sunbird is a breath of fresh air while on vacation on the cape. I am trying to eat clean and being on the cape I quickly realized that it is harder to find clean options. Instead of resigning myself to fried food (no shame in that game!) everyday and feeling like absolute garbage, I tried to research places with gf and sf options. Enter Sunbird! We used to go to their food truck and were so happy they opened up a shop in our favorite place to stay, Orleans. Everything I've tried here has tasted delicious and made me feel great! I've been for breakfast and lunch and my favorite pick is the burger. I got it over greens without a bun and it was juicy, flavorful, and well seasoned. Only draw back is seating is limited and people tend to set up shop with laptops at the big back table. Highly recommend for people interested in clean, keto, veg, or gf options!

This place is SO GOOD. My husband and I just kept smiling as we ate, everything was delightful. We got the burger, breakfast sandwich & potatoes - all fantastic. Definitely did my happy food dance!

Had the sunbird burger with added Cheddar and Bacon. I don't generally like burgers but this was amazing!!! Plus strangely enough- I LOVE the orange juice as well! Why are you closed today? I'm so sad after finding you yesterday! Oh- a lot of customers were not wearing masks, but at least there was an air purifier at the door.

Love the vibe and selection of baked goods. I got a cold brew and was very good. They have a lot of milks to choose from for no extra cost which is great as well!!

Drive past dunkin donuts and keep going - do not pullover. Everything is great about this place and you are supports locals who support their community ! Food and service is stellar and their commitment to the environment with real dishes and compostable flatware is great ! Brunch on Sunday with a verde Bloody Mary that I must try next time

Very hippie like atmosphere which is refreshing. Lots of unusual breakfast combinations. Especially nice for vegans. Coffees were delicious. Plenty of parking. Service was exceptional.

Best place in Orleans to grab something delicious! Great staff and amazing environment. Bird breakfast sandwich is my favorite. Mexican hot chocolate is also a runner up.

We go here every time we're in the Cape and love the vibe here. Great food, baked goods and coffee. They typically have Counter Culture and Tandem Roasters on tap, as well as good Chai Tea(for the lady). While we typically come for breakfast or brunch, the one time we came for dinner, we left impressed. It was last summer but I still talk about the bolognese. It appears they have an ever changing menu. With all the great things happening here, my favorite part are the baked goods. The most recent visit I got two donuts and two cookies, on top of my breakfast. Hopefully they offer a baking class one of these days. All in all, this ever evolving local business has it all clicking.

So yummy. From the doughnuts to the veggie sandwich this little gem shines bright. Staff are as delightful as the food.
