9 New Summer Restaurant Openings In The Hamptons 2023 - New York - The Infatuation

"Sundae Fundae is a recent addition to the existing frozen-treat scene in Montauk, with enough fro-yo and candy to satisfy your entire family’s desire for sweets. There isn’t a ton of info available on flavors online, but if you have kids, you’re probably gonna have dinner next door at Gosman’s Dock anyway, so ending up at Sundae Fundae is more of an inevitability than anything else. Read the reviews and take them seriously!! We gave this place a chance despite the reviews. No actual ice cream, just soft serve. And the soft serve was like water. All 3 in my party should’ve turned around then. Worst ice cream we’ve ever had… inedible. Threw the ice cream away immediately, total waste of $30+. Save your money.

PROS: make your own sundaes (a first for our 3 and 5 year olds) gluten and dairy free options, and lots of toppings convenient location. CONS: the young lady working the register had a bad attitude and wasn’t helpful at all. I had to ask what to do when we got to the register - not knowing whether or not to place our ice creams on the scale. It’s expensive. Two ice creams were $28!!! 🫩 The ice cream is just ok. The soft serve just seemed off. Like, it wasn’t very creamy. Tasted ok but the texture is a little weird and watery. TL;DR - the ice creams just OK, it’s way overpriced, the staff wasn’t friendly or helpful.

First time coming here....self serve ice cream( which i prefer). Many different toppings to choose from.BUTTTT very very expensive. 2 sundaes $40 bucks.Should definitely be more reasonable priced for people coming in w big families. The ice cream was very good, the price not so much! They have benches you can sit and eat your ice cream at.Aside from.the price i liked this place very much,I would come back here again.

this place made me and all my my friends sick. within minutes of eating their food (ice cream? yogurt? i dont even know what it was but it was gross) we all felt awful. i wound up vomiting when i got back to my hotel. im currently writing this as i sit up in bed because every time i try to lay down i feel nauseous again. several of my friends also got sick immediately after. also the tables were all covered in dried up ice cream/yogurt and the garbage was overflowing as if nobody bothered to clean the place. dont waste you time or money

Google

Google
Overpriced for watery “icecream”… not sure what it was made of. Very disappointed and dissatisfied! Don’t waste your money here.

Google
Very overpriced There are no signs to tell customers that ice cream is $16 a pound. Plus when you use a credit card you pay a fee. There are a lot of better ice cream places in town and cheaper and better ice cream. This place takes full advantage of people on vacation. UPDATE: the owner is rude. See below. Thank you for choosing me to respond to out of the MANY other reviewers complaining of the how overpriced you are.

Google
$40 for 2 ice creams. Absolutely ridiculous. A waste and rip off

Yelp
Super good selection of candy to bring to the beach!! Kids filled their own bags and loved to have so many choices.

Yelp
There are no prices anywhere and I figured it was going to be priced higher because it is at Gosmans Dock but OMG.... My kids filled two cups with Ice cream and a few toppings....it was $42.00 !!!!! I thought he was kidding, but he was not! Absolutely ridiculous. It wasn't even good Ice Cream or service. I should have read the reviews before. If you want Ice Cream walk a little further to Gosmans next to the clam window. It is $6.50 for a scoop.

Yelp
An average size filled cup will cost around $12. No cones, cups only. It's just a self serve soft serve station. There were limited selections, but a good amount of toppings. The hot fudge dispenser was empty and missing which was very disappointing. Nobody greeted us. The ice cream didn't have great flavor and turned to soup before I even left the shop. They have a larger selection of candy than ice cream. I would recommend the short drive to John's in Montauk instead.

Yelp
thinking about taking your family of 4 for dessert? think again. this ice cream is weighed and priced by the pound. you fill your own ice cream cup with the ice cream and toppings available, but here's the catch, 16$+ for not even a pound of ice cream. i went to take my family to this parlor and got terribly scammed. would not recommend only because it costed 60$ to treat my family for dessert. DO NOT GO HERE
