Taiwanese Croissant Shop Hazukido Coming to Montreal’s Shaughnessy Village | Eater Montreal

"Now operating in the Lachine Canal Complex near the Atwater Market, Sundaiz offers a playful bakery and café lineup of peppy cookie flavours—think 'confetti confessions' and cinnamon roll—along with nostalgic dips reminiscent of 90s-style Dunkaroos frosting and colourful rainbow éclairs." - Valerie Silva

Mmmmm.... Cookies.🤤🤤 Deliciously sweet, tender, melt-in-your-mouth, decadent... There is no shortage of adjectives to describe this chewy bite of heaven. We just had to visit this newly opened bakehouse ASAP. Do you need to go out of your way to find this perfectly decorated 90's themed shop? Yes you do! The cookie told me so. Add it to your bucket list now. Note: Super friendly, very helpful staff and totally peanut & nut free

Had a very bad experience with them, ordered a cake for my friend’s surprise birthday party and the cake ended up surprising all of us in a bad way. The cake was not enough for 6 people even though on their website it says it’s for 4-6 people, and it was not well structured, the picture will speak for itself. It’s an extremely small cake and overpriced for what’s it’s worth. We contacted the owner, they seemed defensive about the situation and were trying to find faults in other places. They offered us a box of cookies to show good faith but it’s been two weeks and we have not yet received anything. I don’t feel like they’re customer experience oriented and seemed careless about theirs customers’ satisfaction. We are very disappointed.

Cinnamon bun was amazing and the cookies are so soft and tasty. The owners are so welcoming and friendly. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an awesome cake, cookies, coffees and cinnamon buns.

the store was a tiny bit confusing to find, but once you get there, it has a cute vibe and nice aesthetic 🤗 the cookies were good but nothing out of the ordinary. my favourite one was the blueberry one! 🫐

My family was visiting Montreal from the states. We only had one day here, and I was delighted to see that there was a nut free bakery because my son has severe nut allergies and is unable to get items from a traditional bakery. We show up to this location at 1:30 on a Friday. The hours listed on Google say they are open until 4pm. No alternate hours are listed on the company’s website. We spend forever just locating this place (inside an industrial building as well as a takeout window accessible from a bike path) only to find no one at the bakery. We wasted nearly 90 minutes of our time driving there and trying to find the place in the most bizarre and inaccessible location possible, and the business can’t even be bothered to operate at their advertised hours. Unacceptable. No answer when we called their phone number either. Wish we could opine on the actual baked goods, but obviously that is not possible.

Google
Great bakery ! As someone with tree nut allergies it’s excessively hard to find a place to grab a few cookies or pastries, along with coffee with some peace of mind, but this does not disappoint ! Adorable decor and the cookies are always on point ! I’d love if there was more space to sit around, but I have to say that the space behind the shop in the summer is great :)

Best cookies in Montreal, hands down. Incredible. So decadent, and so delicious. My only criticism is that the bakery is hard to find. It's in an industrial looking building with no exterior signage, and the website doesn't offer any warning about that, or give directions about how to access the space (FYI: Dial the unit number on the keypad to be let in, or walk all the way around to the side of the building facing Lachine Canal, where there is a walk up window). The cookies are well worth the effort, I just wish there was more clarity on the website or the socials.

BEYOND exceeded my expectations!! Not only was this a mega throwback to my childhood filled with everything from the 90’s but the vibe in there is unbeatable! Not only was the welcome filled with love but the scent in there is heavenly!! The cookies are outstanding, and massive!! You can tell they are made with love! The coffee was also necessary due to the decadency of the sweets and that too was perfect! They even added a little sun of cocoa to make my latte look extra special! Everything was thought out so I just had to give it 5 stars if I could I would give more! THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE MUST TRY! I can’t wait to go back! Keep it up guys, you’re taking “bakeshop” to a whole new level! Xo
