London’s New Restaurant Openings

"We’re fans of the original Notting Hill location and the actual original in Williamsburg, and now Sunday In Brooklyn has landed in Marylebone. You can expect the same all-day menu, and of course, those OTT praline pancakes." - sinead cranna, rianne shlebak

The Sunday Inn Brooklyn is a popular breakfast spot, especially among Arabs and Gulf Arabs. Honestly, I usually avoid restaurants that cater to a specific demographic, but I decided to try it this time because I'd been to similar trendy restaurants popular with Gulf Arabs before, and the experience was incredibly crowded and long. I made a reservation a day in advance, and it's best to book online, especially during peak season, otherwise, you'll face long waits. The restaurant's location is excellent, near Oxford Street and Selfridges. The staff at the entrance, who manage entry, are unfriendly. Even though you're paying, not eating for free, their rude behavior makes you dislike the place. The staff inside the restaurant are good, polite, and their service is excellent. The food is delicious. We tried the shakshuka and the eggs with cheese and halloumi, and it was truly delicious. The prices are very high, which is typical of London, especially for popular tourist spots and trendy restaurants. It's worth trying, but make sure to book before you go. ——— For more reviews, check out our Snapchat: Travelaq

A very good breakfast experience overall. The welcome was fine, the doorman was polite, though the interaction felt a bit rushed. The shakshoka was excellent, full of flavor, and served very hot. The eggs with cheese were decent, though they could have been hotter. The highlight of the visit was definitely the pancakes, absolutely amazing and easily the best item on the menu. Worth coming back for on their own. Food arrived quickly, and while the service was good overall, it was slightly slow at times.

Sunday in Brooklyn delivers one of the best brunch experiences in London. From the moment you walk in, the place feels vibrant and welcoming, with a lively atmosphere that still manages to feel relaxed. The menu is full of creativity, but the star of the show is the famous thick, fluffy pancakes — perfectly caramelised, rich, and honestly worth the trip on their own. The eggs, the sandwiches, and the sides are all done with real attention to detail and high-quality ingredients. Service is friendly, fast, and genuinely attentive, which makes the whole experience even better. Whether you’re going for a casual weekend brunch or showing a London spot to friends, Sunday in Brooklyn never disappoints. A must-try if you love good food, great vibes, and a standout brunch in the city.

I’ve had breakfast here more than three times, and every visit has been consistently excellent. The eggs are always fresh, soft, and perfectly cooked, and the food overall is simply delicious. My go-to orders are the egg sandwich (very popular), avocado on toast ( general managers favorite) very flavorful, and incredible. Great food, great people, and great energy. Highly recommended. It does get crowded and queues up, so the best advice is to book in advance if you know when you’re planning to eat. It’s absolutely worth it!! The general manager is amazing, and the waiters inside are exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which really adds to the experience. People come here from all over the world, and there’s such a warm, social atmosphere- you end up chatting with others, which makes it even more special.

Sunday in Brooklyn is very clearly an instagram hotspot. The food is plated aesthetically, the building is designed beautifully, and every other table had people filming content non-stop. The food is very good. Not worth the price in my opinion, but still very good. The Turkish-style eggs were really tasty, as were the Long Island potatoes. The pancake was really unique, but too big for just 1 or 2 people! The tables are packed really tightly together in an uncomfortable way that means you can hear the conversations of the people next to you and can barely hear yourself think. I get this is to maximise customers and profit, but it takes away from the experience. Also, this isn’t the restaurant’s fault so I’m not knocking them for it, but the amount of tables that ordered the famous pancake, took photos, ate a couple of bites, paid, and left almost the entire plate of food. There’s something quite sickening about the amount of food waste produced at these Instagram hotspots but what can you do. We took ours to go and reheated it the next day, and it was still great. All in all, a good experience with tasty food, but I don’t feel an urge to come back now.

Sunday in Brooklyn easily serves the best breakfast in the area, and my visit was nothing short of exceptional. The food is packed with flavor, the atmosphere is warm, and the service truly elevates the entire experience. A special shout-out to Sabrina and Nilsson, whose hospitality and kindness made our morning even better. They were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and genuinely helpful—exactly the kind of service that keeps you coming back. don’t you ever miss the pancake. It’s iconic for a reason—fluffy, rich, and absolutely unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone looking to start their day with something special.

It's not normal how good this place. Noone understands. It's not a typical American restaurant; it's literally the best restaurant in the world. We ordered the pancakes. I've never in my entire life tasted pancakes this good. Absolutely insane how good it was. We got the banana tahini bread and the steak and eggs. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone look for an amazing breakfast joint in London.

Sunday in Brooklyn is always a consistently great brunch option whenever I’m in the area. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the service is friendly, and the food never disappoints. The pancakes are truly something special—unique, fluffy, and topped with a bittersweet maple flavour I’ve never tasted anywhere else.
