London’s New Restaurant Openings

"We’re fans of the original Notting Hill location and the actual original in Williamsburg, and now Sunday In Brooklyn has landed in Marylebone. You can expect the same all-day menu, and of course, those OTT praline pancakes." - sinead cranna, rianne shlebak

Went for a business lunch and catch up ! I have to say for what they serve in terms of portions to price it is a great value ! Personally this is one of my favourite places to brunch but they also now are good to take clients out to as well! Service a bit slow but friendly staff overall! Lovely location as well!!

Really good mains, got the crispy chicken sandwich which was amazing! Halal also. The pancake was huge, taste was interesting and more cake like (nice tho) but still worth a try. Would suggest for them to reduce the size as most of the time it gets wasted a lot, saw on other tables too.

We enjoyed our meal here today, especially the Shakshuka and Cauliflower Melt burger. The portions are large, with great presentation and rich American flavours. Staff were friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the ambience but it was a bit loud in some parts of the restaurant. It was packed with people, and is extremely popular so we’d recommend booking a table in advance, especially on weekends. If you can, ask for a table where it’s quieter. Overall, great value for money and highly recommended for an authentic American meal.

The food was good, fulfilling and wholesome but it wasn’t like oh my god! I will come back for this. The pancake was nice, I think there is too much hype around it, it’s heavy, we got one and between four of us w could t finish it after our breakfast meals. It’s worth trying a bite.. but on its own it will be too much. My Caramel iced latte was really good though. On the whole I would rate my experience as 7.9/10..

The pancakes were HEAVENLY, so warm, sweet and delicious. Whenever I crave pancakes, my go to place would be Sunday in Brooklyn! I mainly go for their pancakes but I’m sure their other dishes are good too! Staff are always welcoming and helpful!

Visited the Sunday in Brooklyn on a sunny Thursday for brunch at around 11am. The restaurant was easy to get to from Bond Street station, the food was great however the service was really bad. We ordered two Cheddar Scramble and a single pancake - along with two of the refillable coffee. First of all, it was difficult to find someone to order when my friend arrived, then when the coffee arrived no one bothered to ask whether we wanted some sugar or anything, when the food came, the waiter didn’t even offer condiments - salt, pepper, ketchup, mayo anything. We had to constantly actively look for servers to get us basic condiments or any service, considering it is a Thursday morning the restaurant was not even half packed it is very hard to understand why there was no one serving us at all! Even getting refillable drink was difficult even, and I must say the coffee tasted awful. Upon getting the bill, the waiter initially acknowledges it, but then completely forgotten about it and started chatting with other staff while we kept trying to get any one of their attention. We failed to get any of their attention and honestly at that point our patience has ran out and decided to pay via the QR code - which we notice there is a 12.5% service charge on top which account to about £7, we really wanted to waive it but honestly there were no staff around for us to even ask to remove it. Looking back, I really wish we demanded the service charge removed since we received 0 service - and the table next to us who got seated for about 20 mins, no one have even ask whether they would like to order, which is an absolute joke. All in all, it was quite an awful experience - I have decided to visit upon hearing positive feedback on their Notting Hill branch but I don’t know what would make me ever want to revisit, shame as the food and the atmosphere was actually decent.

Wow, wow, wow!!! First time here and the romaine salad (which I would never order) stopped me in my tracks as I walked past the open plan kitchen. Shared that to start and it was exceptional. For main course, I asked our server for assistance. Nelson took no hesitation in suggesting the fried chicken sandwich. This was mind-blowing my awesome!! By far THE best chicken sandwich I’ve had and a MUST ORDER for everyone reading this. My wife had the Miso Braised Leeks which were excellent for a vegetarian option.

Yummy pancakes and brunch 🥞 My friend and I enjoyed the food here quite a lot, although it was quite on the heavy side so come with an empty belly! The service could have definitely been better, we were not really cared for and the staff came across as a bit rude and unbothered.
