Visited the Sunday in Brooklyn on a sunny Thursday for brunch at around 11am. The restaurant was easy to get to from Bond Street station, the food was great however the service was really bad. We ordered two Cheddar Scramble and a single pancake - along with two of the refillable coffee. First of all, it was difficult to find someone to order when my friend arrived, then when the coffee arrived no one bothered to ask whether we wanted some sugar or anything, when the food came, the waiter didn’t even offer condiments - salt, pepper, ketchup, mayo anything. We had to constantly actively look for servers to get us basic condiments or any service, considering it is a Thursday morning the restaurant was not even half packed it is very hard to understand why there was no one serving us at all! Even getting refillable drink was difficult even, and I must say the coffee tasted awful. Upon getting the bill, the waiter initially acknowledges it, but then completely forgotten about it and started chatting with other staff while we kept trying to get any one of their attention. We failed to get any of their attention and honestly at that point our patience has ran out and decided to pay via the QR code - which we notice there is a 12.5% service charge on top which account to about £7, we really wanted to waive it but honestly there were no staff around for us to even ask to remove it. Looking back, I really wish we demanded the service charge removed since we received 0 service - and the table next to us who got seated for about 20 mins, no one have even ask whether they would like to order, which is an absolute joke. All in all, it was quite an awful experience - I have decided to visit upon hearing positive feedback on their Notting Hill branch but I don’t know what would make me ever want to revisit, shame as the food and the atmosphere was actually decent.
