"Before we went, everyone was like, “Make sure you bring your own groceries because there aren’t a lot of options close to Sea Ranch,” and I obviously like to cook and eat, so we prioritized food shopping on the way and even brought a cooler along. If you drive up on a Sunday or a Thursday you can hit the Marin Farmers Market, which is great."

So many vendors! Delicious foods, tons of organic produce, beautiful spring bouquets💐 Only bummer is "no pets allowed"... only farmer's market I've ever seen with that rule. Farmer's market pups are the best🥰

Google
my favorite farmer's market in northern cali period. it it stunning. phenomenal produce with over a hundred booths. an entire section devoted just for artists. another row for bakeries, restaurants and take out. every sunday morning til 1pm. keep supporting our farmers!

Google
I spent Sunday morning at the farmers market. I loved it. The produce was comparatively priced to the grocery stores, but the quality was excellent. Really large and full of variety. Great food vendors too!

Google
One of the nicest farmers markets I’ve visited. Music, and all the great food from local farmers. Very relaxing.

Google
Really liked this farmers market! Def come early as some vendors might be completely sold out by the time you get there. The souvlaki pita wrap is soooo good and fresh! It has some sort of feta spread that was phenomenal. Will be coming back for this meal alone.

Google
Love love love this farmers market! Fantastic variety. There's always something new to try. All the vendors that I've interacted with have been amazing. And I really enjoy the live music performances.

Google
The best farmers market in the Bay Area, possibly all of California which means the entire USA by default. Amazing produce, high quality organic stuff, low prices. Best coffee at Myriad tent inside. Do NOT get coffee at the red whale stand in the entrance, their brew has made me nauseous twice. Walk inside to Myriad, they have great coffee and amazing people.

Google
Super family friends and has something for everyone. As someone who has seen a lot of farmer's markets, this is definitely a top 5. Arrive early or you will miss the best

Yelp
New vegetarian options at the Sunday Marin Civic Center Farmers Market! It's a nice option to treat yourself - check them out! Forbidden Flavors create Beijing style baked goods that is vegan and low sugar. They handed out samples that were big on flavor. Stop by for a taste. Hey! Hunger has nut patties for sale. The buns looked just as good. I'm not sure if they are vegan. It's a nice addition to the food vendors.

Yelp
It's my favorite Sunday morning outing. I love the fresh produce, the artisanal cheeses and lovely fresh baked goods. One of the stand outs is always the Farmer's Wife, turning grilled egg and cheese sandwiches into ooey, gooey blissful indulgences. I wouldn't have thought of adding sauerkraut to egg, bacon and cheese but they did. Yum. This last Sunday I had cheddar, blue cheese and thinly sliced apples. Where have you been all my life?

Yelp
Sunday Marin County Farmers market is a must if you live in the area or just visiting! It is rumored to be one of the best ones in Northern California. You can get pretty much anything you can think of as there are lots different vendors (fruits, vegetables, mushrooms, meats, seafood, bread, honey, flowers, etc.) and food trucks (dim sum was pretty popular and will try it next time as I wasn't impressed by crepes at all). There are lots of parking but even at 9 am it was really hard to find a spot.

Yelp
OK... this is the place to be on Sundays from 8am-1pm! Farmers Market with a good selection of EVERYTHING - I mean veggies, meats, bread, goods, and variety of hot food. Also a great place to get some lunch, they have greek food, dim sum, waffles... honestly, all looks tasty! Parking can be difficult especially if you arrive closer to lunch time. If you get some food you can find some shade nearby or drive to the other side of the Civic Center and find some benches near the pond, there is plenty of shade all around.

Yelp
By the time I got here, I had about 30 minutes before I had to leave for another event in Napa. I heard this was like the 3rd largest Farmers market in California and yes it didn't disappoint. The hot foods were all together and some seating areas. Nice variety. I saw some bread vendors from San Francisco and I never heard of some of them. Since I was on a time limit, I picked the 2 longest line one was for strawberries at the Rodriguez Farms and the other vendor which I did not catch the name that sold 3 types of Tomatoes and I picked the sweetest one with low acidity for $5 a pound and boy was it great! So sweet! And this is coming from a tomato! So worth it! Likewise with the strawberries was sweet too! If I had more time I would eat my way here because everything looks so good better because this place has the space and more vendors. Farmer markets in other places like San Francisco has limited space and can only showcase only so much. The one in the SF Ferry Building doesn't give me much joy, but this Sunday market is great! I hope to come back this way again in the morning. It's so hard to get up in the morning, but it's worth it!

Yelp
Was surprised how big this farmers market was. Super packed in the morning. Located right off the 101 freeway. They have a ton of food and produce vendors. Parking is free. It was pretty full when we came so we had to hunt for a spot. Only came because Roli Roti was here on Sunday's. Sadly, they were not ready as stated on their site, they would need 30-60 minutes more. They also said they would not have the porchetta ready until noon. Left disappointed!

Yelp
The overall vibe of the farmer's market was friendly and full of opportunity. It wasn't as big as, for example, the Napa flea market, nor was it too small. You can explore the place or grab what you need within an hour or take your time. There are plenty of hot food vendors and spots to eat. There was a variety of choices at different price points. It did seem a bit touristy, but also there were a lot of locals. Everything was interesting. There was this cute heirloom rice vendor selling onigiri and other Japanese food. If you want high-quality food from a farm or small business, you can expect it here. That was my impression. Vendors were from near and far. I was surprised by how many vendors were from my county (Solano) popping up here. They even had a vendor as far away as San Diego (offering strawberries and avocado). It's impressive, but I'm hoping my more local FM picks up more vendors as the season progresses. That being said, the primary reason I came here today was that Rodriguez Farms finally started selling their *organic* *delicious* *strawberries* this season (delayed due to rains). They said they would be here. Honestly, their strawberries are on another level. They got me. I don't really like other strawberries when compared to theirs. (Sorry, but too true.) When we arrived (11 am) and found their stall (11:30 am), they were sold out. No worries! We tried a few new things, including getting the elusive "purple bread," AKA Ube Sourdough, from the Rize Up bakery. I follow them online, but I don't live near their pickup spots. If anyone reading this is wondering, ube is the Filipino word for purple yam. It is often used in Asian desserts, especially in the Philippines, such as for halo-halo or in traditional bread products like pandesal. It's becoming popular in the US, and I'm all for the creative uses. This group happens to be putting it in sourdough, my favorite bread. It's pricey ($16) but is unique & the standard price for all of Rize Up's bread options. As a non-local, this is a cool spot to visit if you're nearby/already planning a day trip. It was straightforward to get here, being near the freeway. Parking is free, but the nearest spaces are limited. My husband says there was a lot of parking at the park nearby. The only con of being non-local: you can't buy the more perishable goods that'll need to be refrigerated.

Yelp
The biggest and best farmers market in Marin county. Rodeo after row of stalls, selling local vegetables with lots of stalls, serving food and food related products, such as bakery goods, honey, etc.. this is such a good market, that lots of local chefs, shopping here, and they even have their own parking section because they are buying in quantity. They have a farmers market in the same area on Thursdays which is a little smaller but just as good. The Sunday market is the place to be on Sunday mornings where you could come and get breakfast coffee and do a little shopping and probably run into your friends. One trick is to do your shopping close to closing time where often a lot of products are discounted because the vendors do not want to have to Pack it up to bring back to the farm. You can't even probably haggle to get your prices down a little bit too.

Yelp
On Sunday my boyfriend and I knew we had to stop by after hearing it was the third largest farmer's market in California! Even the New York Times said it was one of the top spots to visit in Marin County, that's big! And they weren't kidding, their were lots of fresh produce, hot and cold foods for sale and live music! I purchased a Chico Chai from Beber Fresh Almond Milk, Paradise Punch Smoothie from Bare Juices, Brioche Swirl, Chocolat from Maison Nico, Golden Crust Sweet Potato Pie from Delightful Foods Bakery, Point Reyes Garlic Dill and Spicy Italian Pickles from Wild West Ferments and lastly we purchased varies Dim Sum from Tru Gourmet! I would highly recommend visiting this local farmer's market that opened in 1987 and we'll definitely be back to try more goodies! They are open every sunday year round, yes rain or shine, from 8AM - 1PM! Not to mention parking is free!! Support small and local, especially now when they need our business the most! Follow @aim_farmers_markets on Instagram to learn more about their farmer's markets!

Yelp
If this review were just for the onigiri (which they called misubi) I got in the hot food section of the market it would get 1/2 stars from me--barely any filling and so bland. The whole thing fell apart the second I took a bite. I expected the filling to have a little something to it, but was just what tasted like plain rice with plain filling. Not worth $6 each at all. I got one with tofu thinking they would make it yummy or do something with it, but nope. Staff was nice, but this was bad and annoyed I wasted $12 on that. The rest of the market is actually way smaller than expected, but plenty of fresh produce, seedlings, coffee, etc. I got a decaf from myriad coffee (out of Santa Rosa) and it was tasty. Everything at this market was pretty pricy, but got a few items that seemed worth it like organic arugula, mustard greens, herbs, etc. Bring cash with you. Some stalls will accept Apple Pay or cards, but many want cash. They pack up at 1pm. Some places give better deals end of the market, I didn't see that happening here just fyi. Tbh I love all farmers markets, but this one was just okay. A star for having a lot of seating where the hot food is set up, that's a nice touch. I probably won't go out of my way to come back unless I'm already in the area.

Buy and it the PURPLE bread. The bread is so DELICIOUS! Black-owned business. Professional and kind people to support.

Yelp
This is one of the best farmer's market I've been to! We are from San Jose, but the BF and I decided to tour Marin County during the weekend of 4th of July. There are so many vendors from flower shops, bakeries, vegetable stands, meat stands, pop up restaurants, fruit stands, music, crafts, and even an ATM machine. Some of the vendors accept credit cards. I want to say there were about 30-40 vendors. No entrance fee. Pets are not allowed. Items I bought: *Bacon and goat cheese quiche from Maison Nico. I'm not a goat cheese fan but wanted to try this out. It was pretty good, but I stayed away from the chunks for goat cheese. *Powdered sugar waffle from Belgian Waffle! Yum! No maple syrup needed! It was delicious as is! So good, I just keep eating it and forgot to offer the BF any. I only realized that I didn't offer him any when I took the last bite and looked up at him, staring at me. First thing that came out of my mouth was, "oh...whoops". Lol *3 Gluten free fudge chocolate and almonds cookies, almond macaroon, chocolate macaroon, and meyor lemon spaghetti from The Phoenix Pastificio! Oh my! The cookies were so good, had a little crunch to it! Both macaroons were sooooo good, crunchy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside. I made the spaghetti when we got home from the weekend and it was delicious! Nice and tart! Paired it with bolognese sauce and Italian sausage! So yum!

Yelp
The largest and the best farmers market (outdoors) in the North Bay is this market! Every Sunday, farmers and food vendors show up to sell their produce and food. One of my favorite vendors (who also comes down to the Ferry Building Marketplace on Saturday) is Marin Gourmet Artisanal Foods. I was chatting with the business owner when he was in SF and he said he got up at 3:30am (!!!) to drive his goods to the City. Not only is his business buying produce from Modesto (and supporting the farmers there!), he has a manufacturing facility in Petaluma! So if Marin Gourmet deserves your attention, it's because he's been doing the farmers markets for 26 years! So, I say I'm healthy and can get out. CoVid19, hah! I'll load up on vitamins and take precautions to stay healthy but I won't mind being holed up at home for a few days with Marin Gourmet's hummus, baba ghanoush, and falafel!

Yelp
We love going to the farmers' market--easy and accessible parking and so many wonderful stands of fresh produce, seafood, and tempting baked goods. There are coffee vendors, Belgium waffles, dim sum (amazingly tasty), and much more. Dogs aren't allowed in (it is food, after all), and lines can be very long, unless you arrive super early. Bring cash to avoid the ATM fees.

Yelp
I read the 4.5 stars and thought, maybe good. I was wrong. Complete rip off. Overpriced everything and no good. Just a bunch of dumb customers who think a Farmer's Market is really from farmers, like it was back 50 yrs ago on Alemany in SF. I went to buy Heirloom Tomatoes and brought a knife with me. I bought one Heirloom from 4 different "farmers" and they were all absolutely horrible. All taste like nothing. Costco's regular tomatoes which great compared to this garbage. Even Safeway's were better than these. Just shows you a bunch of ignorant people out there with too much money. Before we left I talked with a meat guy selling veal and he was telling me the "red" veal is better than the "white" veal because they are free range. Complete BS, he's got it backwards for all the tree hugging PETA people. A complete was of time so just go to Costco.

Yelp
Arrived at 10am to plenty of available parking spaces. A beautiful day at the farmer's market started with reggae music and rows of gorgeous fruits, vegetables, and bakery items. Also in the mix, a variety of food stands with tables available to relax and eat while listening to music. We tried the dim sum at Tru Gourmet with a sampler plate of 10 dim sum for $16. We then moved two doors down and tried a banana, strawberry, and nutella crepe for $9. All delicious. I didn't encounter the crowds that others mentioned. I had a mellow visit and absolutely enjoyed just looking at the amazing produce available. Just keep in mind that it can be a bit pricey.

Yelp
This is my favorite farmers market in the area. I used to live in San Jose so I would go to the farmers markets in that area but it was hard to find a farmers market that had everything. When I moved to the east bay I began my search for the best farmers market and this one has to be my favorite! It was cooked food, coffee stands, a great selection of veggies, fruit, nuts, meats, seafood, milk, cheeses, baked good, flowers, etc. There's small tables so that you can sit there to eat. The farmers are there rain or shine! It gets very full so parking you do spend a minute looking for parking but it's totally worth it!! Note: there are portable bathrooms and an ATM on site. Many vendors accept cars though.

Yelp
Love going here every Sunday. Such an amazing variety of vendors ranging from meat, veggies, fruits, honey, cheese, hot sauce, baked goods, flowers, seafood, drinks and food. I love trying new stuff from different vendors. So far my favorites being lucky dog hot sauce, panorama bakery, devils gulch and zolo coffee roasters.

Yelp
Not even the Coronavirus can get in the way of Marinites shopping for fresh, local produce! I must have seen over 500 masked shoppers yesterday at the Civic Center. I haven't been to the Sunday Farmer's Market in ages. And i must say, it certainly doesn't disappoint. This is like Disneyland for health nuts and foodies. There are a plethora of vendors selling everything from fresh fruit to grass-fed meats to baked goods. You'll find local favorites like: Devil's Gulch, Star Route Farms, Straus Organic, Rainbow Orchards, Stemple Creek Ranch, Rossotti Ranch, and the list goes on and on. And if you're hungry for a late morning snack, they sell everything from waffles to Greek food to rotisserie chicken. You don't won't leave here hungry. All the vendors are friendly and grateful for the business. And they all made sure to respect safety/sanitization guidelines (masks, gloves, and signs which read "You point; we grab!" (I'm surprised nobody has made a t-shirt with that slogan). Even though folks are respecting a safe six-foot distance, the Farmer's Market is a wonderful place to catch up with fellow foodie friends. I'm so glad I went here. For just an hour, the world felt less crazy (and now my fridge is full with so many goodies). Can't wait to go back next Sunday! This could be my new favorite "essential business."

Yelp
One of the best Farmers markets in the Marin county area with many food and drink options in addition to fruit and vegetables and gourmet stuff

Yelp
I enjoyed walking around this area. A lot of vendors and a lot of prepared foods. I would come back again to pick up fruits and produce. The parking is manageable.

Yelp
The best discovery during a first weekend visit in San Rafael! This farmers market is unique, and I'm from the farm to fork capital and have been to many farmers markets. This is comparable to where I've been in Seattle, with many local and small specialty food vendors. Organic, vegan, etc. healthy finds that are delicious! While prices aren't the cheapest, most products here are worth their prices. The many free samples are generous and add to the friendly vibe and culture, too. I tried veggie burger patties, hibiscus tea, specialty sauces...unfortunately I couldn't stay long but will definitely be back!

Yelp
This is my favorite Farmer's Market! We have been coming here for 3 years now and even more often like every Sunday since we moved from SF to San Rafael. My husband and I have a few favorite stands that you might want to check out! 1. Same Day Seafood If you're looking for the premium, fresh & sashimi grade seafood, this is the place for you! My husband and I have been their regular customers for months now since we moved to Marin. Gary (the owner) and his team are all super nice and helpful! So far we have tried their SUPER FRESH Coho Salmon and King Salmon. Recently, we have become fans of their " Wild Spot Prawn Sashimi Grade". Yup, everything is not cheap here, but I can assure you how good everything is. We literally cannot go back to shopping for seafood anywhere else! This place accepts cards :D 2. Front Porch Farm I started buying strawberries and blackberries from them last summer and have been a regular customer since! Such high quality and tasty/really great fruits, vegetables, potatoes and the list goes on! We even went to one of their U-Picks at their farm in Healdsburg last Falls and had the best time picking tomatoes, and testing their fresh-pressed apple cider! I have also bought flowers here as well and really loved them! Everyone here is always friendly and will help you find what you need. This place accepts cards :D 3. Tru Gourmet Dim Sum The line here is always super long, but don't let that intimidate you! I've done waiting 30+ minutes with no regrets! My favorites are steamed pork buns, shrimp blossoms, and Dungeness Crab Har Gow! CASH only. So hit the ATM before getting in line here! Well, there's an ATM nearby if you feel like paying the fee. Besides these 3, I highly recommend the Asian Vegetable stand. It is our go-to, but they don't come regularly (if it rains, you won't see them) I typically like to get cilantro (with roots, YES!), Thai basils, lemongrass from here. Once a year, you will find the super fresh ginger here, too! And last one, another vegetable stand that comes from Watsonville, go find the one with the longest line. Good quality & CHEAP! We bought 6-7 things and paid less than $10! The parking here is nightmare if you come late. My husband and I tend to get here around 9 - 10, but even then, we have missed out all the good stuff!

Yelp
Best Farmer's Market in the North Bay area. (The Sunday one, not the Thursday one which is much much smaller and I'd rate a 2.5 or 3 stars) My husband and I have been to thousands of Farmer's Markets across the country. Thousands. The Sunday Marin Civic Center Farmer's Market is easily in our top 5. 60% Produce (lots of Organic) 30% Hot food 10% Craft Vendors and Other Food Must haves: Porchetta- Pork & Eggs $10 Aviously Delicious- Falafel Sandwich $5 Panorama- Blueberry Danish & Butter Croissant $6 Produce must haves: Tomatero Farms- Organic strawberries (Monterey and Albion are our favorite...one tastes like apple/pineapple and the other is floral) Rodriguez- Organic strawberries Lots of parking. Wear sunblock, sunglasses and a large rimmed hat. Bring cold water or buy from Avi for $1/bottle. --- WE NEED SHADE! --- The only problem I have with this Farmer's Market -and it's a HUGE problem- is the lack of shaded areas. This wasn't a problem in the cooler month's but just after Memorial Day when the temperature skyrocketed, it became unbearable. They NEED more umbrellas at the tables and some sort of solution throughout the market. I don't want to stand in the smoldering sun and check out your jars of honey, woven baskets, jewelry, or anything else while my skin burns off my bone. So I don't. I walk right past. Grab my hot meal. Shop for my weekly produce (in the shade because the produce vendors typically have a great set up where one can walk under their tent) I urge the vendors themselves provide shade around their tents that extends past themselves.

Yelp
The San Rafael Farmers Market is hands down the best in the area and is always one of my weekend highlights. Every Sunday I look forward to getting my fresh produce here and I appreciate the large variety of vendors. There is nothing better than walking around buying locally, listening to live musicians while shopping, and not to mention, breathing in all of the heavenly smells from the different food vendors (especially the waffle truck). This is by far the largest farmer's market I've ever been to and there is something here for everyone. Some of my favorite vendors here are Tomatero Farms, P & E Growers, Brickmaiden Bread, and the Belgian Sugar Waffle Truck. All of these vendors usually have a line and there is a reason why! During these last few months, the market has done a great job of having all of the vendor's socially distanced and there are 6 ft. marks everywhere throughout the market. If you're in Marin, I highly recommend stopping by!

Yelp
My sister and brother in law have been raving about this farmers market ever since they left San Francisco last year and I finally got to experience the vastness this past Sunday. It's definitely one of the larger farmers markets I'd ever been to in terms of number of vendors so, your options are basically unlimited. I started off with a drip/pour over coffee from Zolo which had a decent sized line but, they hurried through as it wasn't their first rodeo. The coffee was delicious. For breakfast, I had the chicken tiki masala plate from my favorite Indian food vendor. I don't know their name but, they come up from Watsonville and it's SO. DAMN. GOOD. I also picked up some amazingly delicious crab cakes from Santa Rosa Seafood, greens from multiple vendors and it was quite a haul! Check this place out if you live in Marin or come up from SF if you want to experience more variety.

Yelp
Put The Marin Civic Center Farmers' Market on the list as one of those fantastic reasons we live here in Marin County. The vendors there bring us the organic fruits and vegetables that so many of us only grow in our dreams, and some of the fancy foods we would love to make from them, if only we had the time. I love getting some vegetables that I've rarely, if ever, eaten and go back to the kitchen and adventure. Latest success.... Acorn Squash Ravioli. Abundanza! Vendors have the grass fed meats, artisan cheeses, and fresh baked goods that make us want to run home and open every package and gorge ourselves! But, wait ... don't rush home just yet... some of the best is yet to come. What we love (besides getting up early to go) is enjoying some of the prepared international foods, from many vendors, and even bringing something home for Monday night dinner (I hate to cook on Mondays). The other thing we truly enjoy is eating our hot food with other Marinites at the multicolored tables (I wish they had more tables and chairs). The sense of community and friendliness livens up our Sunday! It's like a walk in a delicious park. Hope to see you there! Come on down ... Adventure. Enjoy ! Farmers' Market Tips: 1) Bring along your own large reusable bags. Throw a cooler in the car, with a little ice in it. That way you'll be able to buy a wider variety. 2) Parking is plentiful, until late morning.... be patient, someone will soon pull out! 3) Try something new. Be adventuresome! 4) Remember, organic, ethically produced, locally sourced food is not cheap, but it IS a good value, all things considered.

Yelp
Truly the best farmers market in the area! And the best I've ever been to. It attracts quite a crowd, especially during the summer. There's a huge variety of produce, local goods, cheese, baked goods, nuts, handcrafted items, flowers, plants, food, drinks and more! It's a great place to hang out, buy some produce for the week and grab a coffee and bite to eat. Some of my favorite vendors are Red Whale coffee (a wonderful addition plus cold brew!), The Farmers Wife (delicious grilled cheese), Handsome Carver (nut butters), The Hummus Guy, Tomatero (always have a quality, lovely spread of produce - and popular!), Sunnyland Orchards (Eddie is a great guy and they bring a variety of yummy fruit & seasonal nuts) & Flying Disc Ranch (BEST variety of fresh dates, hard to find elsewhere!) Catch me there nearly every Sunday in the summer buying oodles of pluots, peaches, nectarines and all the glorious summer fruit!

Yelp
An excellent place to pick up produce. You see the chefs running around grabbing their ingredients and you know you're getting good stuff. First off, walk around and just absorb the scene the first time you go. There are many smaller farmers markets in many city downtown areas but the larger size of this is much more exciting and much more making this a destination event. There are plenty of food vendors if you want to eat breakfast or lunch. Food trucks, vendors who also sell food ready to eat or to take home etc. but realize that you can fill up on samples - sample fruits, veggies, falafel, bakery items, nut butters and more. So don't eat from the food trucks until you've filled yourself with samples. I'm not saying the food trucks are bad it's just you might regret filling up on them when there are so many good samples to try. Some finer points- I call one aisle "the high-pressure aisle." It's not a bad place I actually like many of the products there but they tend to be the processed products that small entrepreneurs are trying to sell. So there are a lot of samples and also a lot odd ways of trying to sell them to you. Some of our favorite vendors are: Strawberries-Rodriguez farms Cukes and tomatoes- the Peach Farm Salad Stuff - the big vendor on the far right end of the first row from the upper parking lot (forget the name) Some fun vendors include: Handsome Carver- tasty nut butters The Cashew Lady Enjoy!

Yelp
FABULOUS farmer's market!!! We came on a whim whilst headed to San Francisco. From the freeway, I spotted all these white tents and decided to just veer off the highway to check it out. So glad I did!!! Parking might be tricky but we got lucky and found a spot right at the entrance. It was amazing to walk up and down the aisles, trying to pace ourselves as we purchased stone fruits here, loaves of bread there, a jar of hot sauce here and a tamales there. Since we weren't headed home and didn't have a cooler, the perishable delights will have to be bought next time. Oh the cheeses I tried...yum. Adding to it all was the live music and some tables where my hubby could sit as I kept perusing. Fabulous!

Yelp
I come here EVERY Sunday, honestly. I love this location, variety of good and my Sunday morning Red Whale coffee. My boyfriend and I have a routine, we hit up a big stand, grab tons of kale, beets, and other yummy things there and then walk around other stands for needed items. My boyfriend loves making juices, so he buys tons of vegetables, and the Farmers Market, has everything we want (that is in season). You can find amazing coffee, pastries, and other foods like pizza and crepes here as well. I love how many variety of things you can buy, but also eat on the spot and enjoy live music that is playing that Sunday. The Farmers Market offers 2 different live music stations and they are different every sunday. Kids can also enjoy sunday Farmers Market shopping by going to a play ground and jump around. I like coming here when its super early because the crowd is less crazy and i can walk super fast and grab everything i want. My boyfriend loves hitting up the market right before the close so he can score last minute good deals, however you can find some items being sold out, little risky but its a gamble. Either way, the market is AMAZING, the best in Marin and even Bay area, in my opinion.

Yelp
Sure they have top quality fruits and vegetables and the bakery goods are hard to find locally, but the prices are 25 to 50% higher than the Food Markets including more than Wholefoods. What is it about Croissants in the USA. In Paris France, in Zurich Switzerland, in Amsterdam, in some of the most expensive cities of Europe Croissants are $1.- $1.50 -$2.00. tops and we are talking flaky and buttery to perfection. Here they charge $4.00!!!!! for a buffed up ball of doe slightly resembling the shape of a Croissant but that is it. In Europe, it is common to eat with coffee in every Cafe. Here they make it out to be some special difficult pastry deserving of $4.00. If they at least made them to actually be a croissant then perhaps I would pay $2.00 or even $3.00. But what they make here is not worth 50 cents. Step it up folks and stop passing off the doe ball you are making as real Croissants.

Yelp
It's big, at least 5 rows. There's food and at least 2 entertainers. There's parking if you don't mind walking half a block. I enjoyed the Mediterranean plate. Reasonable pricing. I also liked the duck mousse and sausage guy from Hayward. There are jewelry and merchandise crafts vendors. There is a small place to sit and wat but no shade. The dim dum had longest line. Prices are on the expensive side but the organic kale is still 3 bunches for $5. Organic carrots 2.25.

Yelp
If you like Farmers Markets, than I welcome you to quite possibly the best one in the whole Bay Area. This place has it all, and when I say "this place has it all" I quite literlly mean that this place has everything you could ever imagine: awesome entertainment (folks playing thier guitars), incredibly delicious food & drink stands and an unlimited selection of locally made/grown goods: honey, flowers, fruits, fish, bread, bags, jewelery, etc... Hands down the selection here is one of the most versatile I've ever seen. The highlights of the day has to be "Hog Island Oyster Company" and "Marshalls Farm Honey". If you haven't heard of Hog Island Oyster Company, it's a Seafood company and restaurant that serves up - in my opinion - the best damn oysters ever. They have two very popular locations - one in San Francisco, CA and one in Marshall, CA near Bodega Bay. It's a must try. Anyways, besides running those successful businesses, they also like to visit farmers markets because it's a great way to let the local community that may not know about them try them out. Though I've known about them a long time, I always support them at the markets and get some local oysters & clams. You're missing out if you don't make a stop at thier stand. They'll be there most Sundays 8am-1pm. No won to Marshalls Farm Honey. I've followed this company everywhere. I first discovered them at the Clement Farmers Market in San Francisco and recently found out they also go to the San Rafel market every week. This is by far and away the best honey I've ever had in my life (not an exaggeration). You'd be doing yourself a big favor trying them, as it's not only healthy, but locally made. All in all, this is a must visit for all avid farmers market goers. Not only will you have a good time, but you'll be supporting local business that really appreciates the help. You may even discover a new company you've yet to hear of and love it. Enjoy :)

Yelp
Quite possibly the best Farmers Market in No Cal. Arrive early, bring bags, cash, a sun hat and be prepared to be impressed. My niece calls it the Berry Good market...the fruit displays are fabulous. Free tastings. Blueberries and raspberries will blow your mind. The Star Route carrots - rainbow assortment - will knock your sock off. Real yummy true carrots! Be careful, the assortment of morning buns, cakes, pies, breads will cause you to reach into, your wallet again and again. Best tip: make up a list before you arrive.

Yelp
Thursdays 7:30-12pm First time to visit because just joined Full Belly Farm and vegetable/flower basket membership. Many fresh fruits and vegetables. Huge size strawberries today at very good prices. A few food trucks including Roli Roti, awesome porchetta sando. Will definitely be here every other Thursday to pick up my basket and do some shopping. Easy parking and free.

Yelp
Such a cute and fun event that takes place on Thursdays and Sundays at the Civic Center. Had not been here since I was a kid, and it was really cool to see how much it has grown and changed. For example, there are food trucks and tents with a large variety of different cuisines, from crepes and fresh squeezed juices to Thai food and dim sum. Yum! This day I came I picked up a bouquet of flowers for a friend (fresh flowers where you can mix and match, make your own bouquet) and a gluten-free chocolate chip cookie from the Flour Chylde table. The cookie was good! Has small chocolate chips if you're into that. Will be back soon, especially while the weather is still nice and warm!

Yelp
Impressive for selection, variety, and ready-to-eat foods. Nice atmosphere. Friendly, knowledgeable vendors. Pricey by my Mid-western standards, but the quality is worth it. Always a visit when I am in Marin.

Yelp
So many local vendors. Such great produce. Such fun baked goods. Locally caught fish and raised farm meats. Love love this market and the Sunday ritual of filling up my fridge. Great flowers too. Feels good to support the local farm community and get such great tasting food on top of it :)

Yelp
How can this have less than 5 stars? Honestly best farmers market I've ever seen in my life. Shockingly fresh produce all year, amazing music, gorgeous flowers and open EVERY single sunday. The crowds during nice weather are very overwhelming (I advice you to get in and get out) but it's so wonderful hanging out here when it's not crowded and you can really get to know the individual vendors.

Yelp
Marin Civic Center Farmers Market is easily the best farmers market i've encountered based on subjective critereia: -free parklng (parked further away since didn't know where parking was) -roomy, not cluttered -lots of veggies, fruit vendors to choose from (pricing not a factor, since i didn't buy any) -lots of food vendors, best is "Avi-lious Delicious" med eats for $5 and under. -chairs/tables to sit down and enjoy. time: thursday: 10-1? shopping notes: -very similar to grand lake oaktown, without the hassles coincidence since both grand lake and Marin civic center managed by same people. Agricultural Institute of Marin. -many food vendors here also present at other farmers market.(roti, brittany, belgian waffles, taco guys, fleur...., martha,/...) -some unique ones too. -very civil people here actually saw a line, got into it, and hear universal recommedations for the falafel sandwich. DONE!

Yelp
This is the "diamond in the crown", of Farmers Markets in the Bay Area. I've been to several farmers markets, in a number of states, and this market competes with the best of them. Not as large (not small at all) as some, the product quality is the best I've seen. If your looking for a flea market style market, don't waste your time with this one! Most everything in this market is organic, including the food vendors! Next time you're in Marin County, CA, make this a priority stop!

Yelp
If you are a fish and or seafood lover, this has the best fresh fish and oysters around. He is located in the South corner against the fence, near the Rolli truck. His super fresh wild salmon is fantastic and the price is right. It is so nice to buy fresh salmon that has not had dye added to it for color. That process cracks me up! I do not want dyed fish, period. They also sell whole fish, smoked fish, clams, mussels and oysters. They will shuck the oysters for you and there are tables near by to sit and eat them. OH YEAH! A dozen really fresh, delicious oysters for $14.00. Can't beat it. Weird to think though that they were alive only minutes earlier. But soooooooo delicious! They also BBQ those enormous oysters right there as well.

Yelp
This farmer's market is amazing! Dozens of unique tents and stands with delicious food and plenty of free samples. You can buy fish, fruit, veggies, falafel, pizza, waffles, hot sauce, and much more organic and homemade foods. All the vendors are super friendly as well as the patrons around the market. Highly recommend for a fun Sunday morning adventure!

Yelp
This is one of the larger famers markets in the bay area...I guess Marin county is still considered the bae. This place is packed but people constantly leave so you can find parking. I am not sure if it is just locals that go here or if people in SF head up to check this place out. I went at the end of May at around 10:30am. I finished looking through without stopping to eat anything within an hour. It just so happened to be cherry and peach season so I just loaded up on those. I can seriously eat breakfast there with samples. I thought one stand was cool cuz they cut the fish right in front of you and made cutlets. I was searching for some squid ink but alas they were sold out again. I was hoping for some different fruits or interesting stands but I would say this is comparable to that Oakland farmers market.
