Great customer service. As a carribean person I dont normally eat soul food but I loved it. Not too salty and the food came out so fresh. I loved the snapper filet and yhe collard greens were the best I've ever had! The was good too and I loved the corn muffin. Definitely had to taste the blue velvet cupcake. Really good. It does take a little while so order in advance if you can. Also the food presentation was really good not greasy at all.

✨ First time visiting my former high school classmate's (Trick Daddy) restaurant. Proud to support a fellow Miami Norland Senior High Viking and glad that they opened this location in the historic Sistrunk district of Fort Lauderdale. My dad and I visited the establishment on A Sunday afternoon following church. (Closed on Tuesdays For Black people, the Sunday meal is a cherished and significant cultural tradition that goes far beyond simple nourishment. I really appreciate how much Trick gives back to his community. Here, the Mac n cheese is slammin'!! 💯 My daughter ordered wings with a side of Mac n cheese and rice n peas. I just had two side orders - the Mac n cheese and collard greens. Again, I love to support and I understand the rising costs for ingredients but I think the team needs to revisit the value for the customers. May I suggest a value price for customers who want a veggie plate. I paid $16 for one scoop of Mac and one scoop of collards. And $6 for a 16 oz soft drink??? This is not even a fancy drink mix. You are charging customers six dollars for a soda and have it listed on the menu as $4.99. I did mention this to the cashier, but she gave me an attitude for calling it out and because YOUR RESTAURANT did not "update" the prices. Again, I want to do my best to support black owned businesses, but it's helpful when establishments respect the customers. Seems like there will be a drive-thru option coming in the near future. OMG! I've eaten at a lot of place but this right here was 100/10. Upon entering the aroma hits you and you don't know what to order because the menu looks so good. The line was long but moved quickly. The food smelt so good we decided we couldn't wait to take it home so we ate it at the restaurant 😋. The food did not disappoint. I ordered Turkey wings, collard greens and peas and rice. When I say I was licking my fingers with those wings. Would definitely recommend. Just note they're closed on Tuesdays.

The wait was about 30 minutes. But I expected that. The food tasting the way it did was not expected! Sorry, but the Mac n cheese was dry! The corn muffin was dry and stuck! I ordered turkey wings & good thing I checked the food before pulling off, it was chicken! The guy did bring me back the turkey wings. The food was just not what was expected! Trick, come and do some in-service please!! I will post the pictures!

I visited the Fortlauderdale location Saturday November 22nd 2025. I had the fried ribs meal with yellow rice , Collard Greens, corn bread muffin, and the blue lemonade.The ribs were seasoned amazingly. The yellow rice, Collard greens,corn bread muffin, and blue lemonade was just ok. The corn bread muffin was not hot or moist. The lemonade was watery, and the Collard Greens weren't hot and needed more seasoning. I flew into Fortlauderdale from Nashville Tennesse ,just to support this restaurant because Im a fan of Trick Daddy. I live out of state. His staff at this location is not very welcoming. They look at you crazy, they do not smile, faces all turned up, focused on there phones, and when customers turn their back, they talk down on customers appearance. We are definitely our worse enemies and we should not be that way. Trick Daddy, I am still a fan but the staff need to do better.

The food was really good hot and fresh. I got the turkey wings, with yellow rice, and collard greens. I also got a Cornish hen (good, lemon pepper) and a side of Mac (which was perfect). Everything was good and cooked perfectly. The turkey wings could’ve used a bit more seasoning. My husband got fried ribs and Mac and cheese and he said it was great. Overall I will return.

food was pretty good, good portion size, and the price was amazing compared to other soul food spots. i ordered catfish dinner with rice&peas and candied yams, my sister got turkey wings with yellow rice & collard greens. the catfish was crispy and huge, full of flavor & did not lack at all! the rice & peas were also flavorful & candied yams were good but needed a little more candy. turkey wings were ok, could’ve been cooked a little less in a broth or something they were a little dry & weren’t ‘fall of the bone’ great. yellow rice was a little bit on the bland side, and collard greens surprised me because they were.. sweet? customer service could use a little work because the cashier was giving hurry up & buy vibes but whatever! the food was good, i recommend!

Visiting from NYC this was some of the best soul food my husband and I ever had. Everything was good nothing disappointed the Macroni and cheese the rice the yams the corn bread muffins the baked chicken the fried salmon and the blue lemonade drink was everything I’m mad I didn’t get a large. I was so full I didn’t even get dessert. Which I’m sure was delicious. If you ever in Fort Lauderdale please go to Sunday’s eatery I promise you will not be disappointed .
