Sunny Bay Cafe

This adorable cafe is definitely sunny! We were greeted right away by a friendly waitress. Coffee was great! It took us a bit of time to order because there was so much to choose from and we couldn’t decide. Everyone loved what they ordered. I chose the ham and cheese crepe because not everywhere makes crepes. The portions were large and delicious. All of us had take out containers due to large portions.

What a lovely breakfast! We came here on an October Saturday for breakfast and we had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and the service was spectacular. Everyone was beyond friendly and every staff member went above and beyond and you can see how much they care. We each got crepes. We loved it!

Food was great, service was fast even though it was busy. Minus one on the atmosphere star just because my daughter has a severe dog allergy and someone brought in a “trained” very excited, tail wagging and jumping up and down very furry golden retriever and was sat right behind us. I understand the town in general is dog friendly but in a confined space with food having a dog who is visibly shedding dander and very close to other people is a bit off putting even outside of her having an allergy. Hair was flying everywhere because the dog was very hyper.

We found Sunny Bay Cafe through an online review. The wait was only 20 minutes, and the hosts were friendly. While the price across the Rehoboth area is a bit expensive, the serving sizes were excellent and impressed me. It is a larger restaurant than it appears from the street, and they can and do accommodate many customers quickly and well. It was a great choice for brunch.

First timehere, had to wait 30 monster it was a Sunday, no problem it was worth it. Food was awsome the had $5.00 mimosas with were great. The only problem i had was if you advertised them for that price don't charge the costumer nother price.

Great coffee and crepes! I can recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for a more moderately priced breakfast.

During a quick weekend trip to Rehobeth, we had several breakfast places on our list to try, and I am glad we chose this cafe! Service was great. The food came out hot and was delicious. I thought the home fries could be better - lacked seasoning and flavor- but everything else was really good! Coffee was freshly brewed and hot. Affordable prices. Recommend this location if you are looking for good breakfast! They also had a pay it forward board for free rice pudding, which I thought was a great idea!

Enjoyable atmosphere. We went to checkout Rehoboth Beach area and had breakfast here. I had the Grill Cheese with Sourdough, Cheddar, and Bacon with home fries as a side. Really, the only thing that could have made it better would have been a Tomato Bisque Soup. The service was fantastic and the atmosphere warm and inviting. Sunny Bay is definitely worth the visit.

A great place to have breakfast. We had a large party of 10 over the holiday weekend and called when we were five minutes out and they said they would have a table ready. We got right in and sat in the back, a cute place and larger than you think when you first walk in. We were treated right away and our server was super friendly and attentive. We had lots of different orders - crepes, omelettes, avocado toast, the banana split, and chicken and waffles. Everyone loved their food and the chicken and waffles was a big hit with a large piece of chicken. The price was good and overall an excellent experience. I would highly recommend.

Solid spot for a bite near the beach, but away from the noise. Lots of options with a few Greek specials. The turkey club panini was great and upgrading to fries was a good choice. Very friendly service and staff. Only suggestion is to bring a jacket in case you sit next to the AC/fan!

We love this little breakfast and lunch spot. The food is fantastic and freshly made and service is always with a smile. They have great breakfast and lunch options, including both savory and sweet crepes. They also have a full bar with serious bloody Mary's. They are also very family and mixed ability friendly. Expect to see everyone there from families with babies to older couples enjoying a great bite at a friendly reliable place to groups of friends meeting up for mimosas.

What a cute cafe! Colorful. When you first walk in, the booth to check in, probably the hostess stand lol... What I noticed was a stock board with various flash cards, basically a pay it forward type of thing, take one that applies to you (get a free rice pudding) and pay for another to put up... My friend didn't like the rice pudding though. We all got the sunrise breakfast but various different ways: I had scrambled eggs w/ grits and bacon. The bacon was completely overcooked imo but still edible. Friends added cheese to their eggs, had scrapple rather than bacon and my last friend had the avocado toast which she enjoyed. I tried A small piece and it was good. This was Sunday afternoon, brunch time so it was busy, about a forty min wait.

Another great dining experience. Jodie made our dining time fun and enjoyable. A very nice atmosphere for couples and families to enjoy a varied menu that is sure to please everyone! We had crepes, begniets and the best coffee we've had in a long long time. Service was amazing and special, thanks to Jodie!

Sunny Bay Cafe brings the good vibes with its friendly staff and a menu full of breakfast favorites - excellent music too! My family enjoyed both the savory and sweet crepes, and the avocado toast was very fresh tasting. Coffee was a tad bitter for my taste but I realize it's a subjective thing. I'll happily return next time I'm in Reho!

Cute little place, it's larger on the inside than I thought it would be. Try and get a table up front, it's more atmospheric. We were way in the back ... no real ambiance. Hubby ordered a crepe with chicken, ham, cheese and a Mornay sauce. Chicken was dry, the Mornay was located in one small pocket, so that didn't help things. It needed mustard or something else for a punch of flavor. I ordered the spinach pie - it was good. Drinks were delicious (can't beat a $5 mimosa!) Food was slow coming out of the kitchen. Our server was nice!

I went with a friend a couple of weeks ago for brunch. Sunny Bay is a comfortable place that serves a nice variety of options. My friend had the avocado toast and I had the special breakfast sandwich. Both were delicious. I have to say that looking other people's orders made me envious and eager to return. Our server was attentive and sweet. Being a weekend with great weather we had a short wait but it was worth it. Definitely worth a visit!

We love the atmosphere on the little patio outside. This was our third time eating here on vacation and every time was delicious! Staff were super friendly. Highly recommend!

Hidden gem in Rehobeth Beach! Great breakfast, lunch and cocktails! The stuffed French Toast and Fried Oysters are absolutely delightful!

This is a great spot for breakfast! We didn't have to wait when we came on a Saturday morning in April. They have a wide selection of items on the menu. I got one of the platters with French toast, eggs, bacon, and sausage. The French toast was nice and thick! They also gave me a ton of eggs that I couldn't finish. The bacon was thick, and the sausage was cooked perfectly. Definitely come hungry!

Food was good enough to satisfy the breakfast craving. Our server was friendly and helpful with ordering suggestions. Ambiance had plenty of natural light which puts the eaters in a happy mood to not be in darkness.

Maybe it was my fault for ordering a salad, but I was craving one. Ordered the spinach salad and my spinach looked so sad, wilty. At least there were a lot of pieces of bacon though! Also ordered the chicken and waffle. Waffle was fluffy and the chicken was quite a large portion. Would've preferred a more even ratio of waffle to chicken. No complaints with the service. No free parking.

Delicious food, casual family friendly atmosphere with friendly staff. The $5 Bloody Mary was a great deal Id definitely go back!

Great Food, Great Atmosphere. We just love this place. Very friendly service, especially Carrie at the counter. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the Crab Soup some of the best I've ever had.

This is the second time we've come to Sunny Bay. Such a warm and friendly place. The avocado toast is very very large. Next time I will order half, since I ended up scraping avocado towards the middle and not eating the bread (always watching that darn blood sugar). They also have a board where people pay it forward with someone for a free dessert. I took one last time for bereavement, then bought one for anyone who lost 2 parents in less than a year. I didn't check this time to see if someone took my card. But it's a super sweet and neighborly way to care for people.

We chose Sunny Bay Cafe on a whim for breakfast and we're so glad we did! It looks deceivingly small from the outside but there's plenty of room in the back. It was St. Patrick's Day weekend and things were festive. Mikey was our waiter and he was fantastic and so fun! We ordered Hawaiian mimosas and M got the Irish shot special (whiskey, orange juice, and a slice of bacon). Breakfast was delicious - amongst the group we got French toast, eggs, avocado toast, chicken and waffles, and two crepes to share - fluffernutter (heavy on the pb) and Nutella (yum!). Overall reasonably priced, delicious and the service by all of the staff we interacted with was above and beyond. If you're in Rehoboth Beach, try this place for breakfast for sure!

This is a casual cafe, serving breakfast and lunch. The coffee is strong and tastefully hits the spot. The omelettes are delicious as are the sandwiches & French toast. The owners and staff are very friendly and open to welcoming visitors into their neighborhood. This is such a "feel good" place....that not only provides a yummy variety of food selections, but welcomes all and even offers a creative, easy chance to help others in the community who may need a boost or smile at receiving a free cuppa coffee and treat. Sunny Bay is a gift to their community and all who visit.

We came here due to all the 5 ratings - the food was ok. We ordered the pancake breakfast platter, an omelet, and French toast platter. The breakfast potatoes were mushy with no real flavor. The pancakes were doughy and chewy. French toast was good. Breakfast sausage and bacon were solid. Daughter described the eggs as the same kind you get at the hotel free breakfast. The waitress was fine. The staff is friendly - hostess was welcoming. Space was bright and clean. Overall is was a pleasant experience with meh food.

We went around lunchtime on a Tuesday and the place was busy, but the host escorted us to a couple of bar seats. After she sat us, a server told her rather loudly and brusquely in front of about 15 patrons that she shouldn't be seating people at the bar, as the bartender is too busy and overwhelmed. This didn't exactly make us feel welcome, and made me feel a little secondhand embarrassment for the host. Wish that was handled a little more privately. However, the bartender was extremely friendly and although we could see he was busy, he never showed any signs of it. I got an omelette covered with chipped beef gravy which was excellent. The place has a diner feel but between their two main dining areas, has ample seating. I'd definitely try this place again, as there were so many things on the menu I was interested in!

Good vibe, chill music, clean, popular, friendly staff. We go here when visiting my aunt in Delaware. Been here a few times and every time it's been a great experience. The food is fresh, tasty and some are interestingly different. I would highly recommend.

Chose Sunny Bay Cafe based on Yelp reviews and the reviews were right on. Excellent service, our server Mikey was friendly and attentive! Food was homemade, fresh and tasty. My crabcake was made of lump crab and no filler. I highly recommend.

I've loved everything I've gotten from here over the years! Most recently I got the chicken cordon bleu crepe and my table got the s'mores crepe to split and both were amazing. Others at the table got the buffalo chicken Caesar crepe, turkey panini, and chicken devon crepe. It was a busy Sunday morning but we were seated pretty quick!

A fun brunch spot in Rehoboth! They serve coffee in such fun mugs -- no mug is the same! They have a whole crepe section and it is AMAZING! I've tried a couple and each time I just keep ordering crepes because it's that good!

Be sure to try the spinach pie! Just like my Yaiyai used to make. Ask for it extra crispy. Takes a while since it's baked and is served with a thick yogurt cucumber dip. Service was fast, and friendly. A clean and comfortable place not crammed in!!! Typical beach Decor. Some outside seating for 2. Note St parking is free till 10! So get here early.

Fantastic food! Huge menu! Super friendly servers. The prices for the amount of food you get are incredibly reasonable. Good bloodys and any other libation that is your preference. The entire menu is available all day long! Super cute inside with tables and a bar/counter as well! We will be back here for sure!

Another amazing brunch experience with friends. We started with Bloody Mary's and Mimosas. I loved how many different flavor options I had. I decided to make my own crepe today! I requested one of the sandwiches be turned into a crepe. They were able to do it and I thoroughly enjoyed it. This is my #1 breakfast spot in Rehoboth. The servers are always extra kind too!

Parking: This restaurant is located near the beach boardwalk. You'll have to most likely pay for parking if you go during peak times/hours. Seating: it's a medium-small restaurant. There is more seating in the back! Food: the avocado toast was really good! We ordered the avocado toast and omelette. Bathroom: there are 2 individual bathrooms in the back of the restaurant. Price: it was a normal price range for being located on the board walk. Service: our server and hostess was nice and attentive. They were friendly and helpful.

This breakfast spot was so good that we went back a second time! This cute cafe right in Rehoboth Avenue gives you such a cozy feel from their unique selection of mugs to their pass it forward board to their amazingly kind staff, we truly enjoyed both of our breakfasts here. The food came out quickly, piping hot, and absolutely amazing. We are so thankful that our server (both times), Jeff gave us great suggestions and happened to mention that this cafe makes beignets. We gave them a try and they were the best beignets: doughy, hot, fresh, with a few dipping sauces to try. If you don't have the time to sit down for breakfast, just walk in and get an order of beignets to go and you will be back (just like we were)!

This was such a great little restaurant. The staff was super friendly and responsive to requests. Our server David was absolutely awesome. Lots of options for breakfast and lunch, as well as a full bar. The service was fantastic! It's kid friendly with lots of options for little ones. My husband got the huevos rancheros and I got the vegetarian omelette with behind sausage. It was a great little find! Definitely recommend! Edit: this place was so good my kids asked to eat here again. So we did! David remembered us and seated us with our coffee orders from yesterday. We were not the only repeat customers either! Definitely a must stop! Oh- and the peanut butter and chocolate muffins and chickpea falafel are TO DIE FOR!

We created our own bar crawl experience and this was our second stop. Super friendly and accommodating! We had the blackberry mimosa and it was fabulous. Bartender Jeff was super nice and gave us local tips. Awesome mimosa. Will come back for brunch some time!!!!

Friendly, clean, great breakfast with many options. It's a really cute place and so close to the beach!

We waited for about an hour on a late Sunday morning, but it was no biggie since we walked to some different shops while we waited. Our waiter was friendly, fast, and efficient! The stuffed French toast was amazing!!!! My wife and I split that then we both had our own omelettes. The cold brew coffee is LARGE and hit the spot. Overall, I'd come back here for sure with or without a wait.

Great service, we loved our server! He was funny, helpful and really nice. I got the avocado toast with the eggs on top (delicious!) and my partner ordered a simple plate of eggs, bacon and toast. Our curiosity around 'chipped beef' was piqued and we had to order it, just to say that we tried it, lol. When eaten alone, you're reminded of cream of mushroom soup (but with beef), but really the key is to eat it with a carb. Throw it on top of your potatoes, your bread or even your eggs? It's GOOD. Eaten alone? Too salty. It's a cute spot and there wasn't a long wait for a table. We did wait quite a bit for the food, but our server was great at keeping us updated on its progress.

Generally, I liked this place but there is remove for improvement. Ambiance: (4/5) There is plenty of seating, but it does get loud inside. I would suggest sitting outside if you can. Price: (5/5) Great prices for healthy portions. Food: (4/5) The stuff french toast was really good. I would have added a little less of the sweet sauce they put on top, it was a bit overpowering. The savory crêpe was also good but a bit soggy. Service: (3/5) We for our food but no utensils for a little while so I had to her up and ask for them. We also made a correction to the order and they brought out the wrong item after confirming the correction was made.

Our favorite breakfast spot in Rehoboth. My husband loved the stuffed French toast. I am a huge fan of their pancakes and sausage. Great service!

My husband and I stopped in for breakfast, we will be back again soon! We sat at the bar, the bartender and all servers, managers etc were so friendly. Food was on point and we had a few breakfast cocktails- so good! I can't wait to try more items on the menu. Greek omelette Mimosas Bloody Mary

Nice house and friendly staff. Low quality food. Lemon crepe tasted as if they soaked the crepe in bottled lemon juice. Avocado toast was also disgusting. Needs a complete overhaul

The place is cute but the food wasn't anything to write home about. I enjoyed the Greek yogurt parfait.
