Sunnyside Cannabis Dispensary - Wrigleyville

Probably the largest dispensary I've ever been in. However they only have two kiosk in which to place orders. It is highly recommended that you place your order online beforehand otherwise you will be waiting in line like we did. It was about eight people in front of us standing in a single file line waiting to use two kiosk to place our orders. It might be an idea to buy more kiosk!

Amanda is the freakin best bud tender in all of Chicago I swear. Was so patient with me as I asked 5 or 6 questions about a specific product I wanted. Then proceeded to find me the exact product I wanted. Give them a raise please!!

First visit at the Wrigley location. Id placed an online order for flower, and the vaporizer. In-store i was able to explore and examine tools, pieces, and gadgets. I had a great visit, the vibes were cool even as the store got busier

Amazing customer service Ariel helped me out with everything ……. But Arrived home and opened the pre-roll for it to be broken and spill all over my lap 😢 Really cool people they had reached out by message and actually one of the supervisors at the location (glee) had called me and offered me a replacement blunt or store credit which I found really cool . Overall amazing experience at the location very spacious ,very unique compared to other dispensary’s would definitely recommend a visit

Danny took so much time to go over my order with me. He went out of his way to make sure that I was satisfied with the strain I chose & even went back to check everything available at this price point. Super great service! Brian is super knowledgeable and made some great suggestions on strains to try out next time. You can tell he definitely knows his stuff. Super helpful too! Ariel was super efficient and helpful!

Had another great experience at Sunnyside Wrigleyville. They did a quick and hassle-free exchange on a defective cart, which I really appreciated. The online reporting process was smooth and efficient, making the whole thing easy from start to finish. Jazzy helped me out with some solid product recommendations—especially Blue Dream, which has been a standout. I’m a big fan of the deals they run on Cresco and High Supply too. Reliable products, friendly staff, and great service. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Fast, easy, self-service, discounts. I ordered through their website within 2 minutes I had a completed order and was on the way to sunny side. Through the door with a 5 minute wait for a wellness advisor which is not bad considering how busy this place was. Glee and Joe were some of the nicest, well-mannered advisors I was so lucky to check out with. The interaction with these two really solidified the entire sunny side experience for me. If you haven’t been here yet, I’d highly recommend it so you get to meet people like Glee and Joe too.

Damn! Well I was truly hoping for a great experience. But a true let down from checking in to checking out. The staff at the front desk was to focused on a bag that was dropped off by a vendor that they ignored my question. Then when checking out I let the agent know this is my first time here I'm from out of state how does this location work any deals and said you can check the kiosk and charged me for what I already ordered. SWAY & Dr Green Thumb has top notch customer service!! Sunnyside yall can learn a thing or two.

The staff was personable and you cant beat the 45% off discount. It was clean and inviting.

Coming from a state where cannabis is yet to be legalized, we made it point to visit a dispensary at least once while in Chicago, and glad we chose Sunnyside! The process is pretty chill and smooth from entry to exit. You are ID'd and welcomed at the front counter and then sent to the checkout lanes for preorders or the help desk for walk-ins. We were the latter. The help desk associate was knowledgeable, but not super friendly, which was odd as everyone else we encountered were wildly friendly. Wasn't terrible, just a bit off given the vibe of the place. We placed our order then headed to the checkout counter. Unlike other dispensaries I have been to, Sunnyside has all their product in the back. You order from the iPad, pay and then your order gets pulled from the back and handed over. They have a few shelves you can browse with snacks and such, but not much else on the floor. I understand the reasoning and it did not detract from our experience. Overall. Was a solid place, a bit pricey, but that was not unexpected.

Manager is completely too high to do her job. Had a bucket hat on with her eyes barely even open and was zero help! I was told to come in if my disposable had a problem which it did since it was leaking and was very little smoke coming out when hitting, since a little smoke did come out even though it was very very little after it being fully charged new having a big hit she said I saw smoke so there is nothing I can do besides give you the same discount as what is already going on which she didn't seem to even realize. I would not recommend this place due to the laziness and lack of effort put forth by the manager!

Great store! I am a med customer and go to this store on the off-hours and not during games or late day. The employess are very helpfuy and courteous. Quick check-in. The lines are well managed with minimal wait. Great recomendations from the staff, fresh product, great prices and, above all, a wonderful atmosphere.

Sunnyside has great selections to chose from and friendly service. You can earn points towards your next visit by preordering online, but if indecisive about your choice, usually someone that works there will offer a suggestion. Nice place!

Wellness advisor 44183 needs an hr check in. Beyond inappropriate behavior and intimidation when I asked "what was wrong". Not sure if it was racially motivated or what but either way not ok. I gave the gentleman at the counter my id and he then scuffs at me, to which I proceed to ignore, he then stares at me and scuffs again. I ask him if he's ok, he then stares me down in the eyes and says "yeah I'm fine, are you ok?" All I wanted was my 19.99 vape pen and instead I got harassed by a man who had a problem with me for no reason. I consider myself to be a kind and approachable person, this is totally unacceptable. Otherwise I love this location and everyone else is great always. Something's wrong here.

My disclaimer is that I can only speak as an adult use user. I notice a lot of negative reviews are around those with medical cards, so just wanted to put that disclaimer up! Been coming to this location for years and I have always had a good experience. The cons are that there's no parking if you're driving, but it's right next to wrigley field and close to a bunch of public transit options. My biggest tip is that if you're preordering and you have your heart set on specific products, get there early. There have been a few times that I've gotten there in the evening and despite preordering, they were out of the things I wanted. The employees always do a great job of suggesting comparable options though!

Horrible dispensary. Clerk started harassing and flirting with me the second I turned 18. Was given a dark brown cartilage and told that's how it's supposed to look when it's clearly oxidized beyond a smokable point. Staff are rude and quick to yell at you. Everyone is always extremely high and disrespectful.

Sometimes suffocatingly and infuriatingly busy being in Wrigleyville, but if you go at the right time it's totally fine and chill. They have really good deals, too. Way better than other dispensaries in the area. And they don't charge a debit card fee. Definitely recommend! Super easy to make your orders online, too.

This place feels like an insane asylum. You feel like you're in trouble and everyone is mad at you. Buying weed should be fun but they make it scary, stressful and not fun. They ask for tips even though they aren't helpful and are all kind of rude? I've been a couple times but don't think I'll ever return.

This is the worst dispensary I have been to in my ten years of smoking. There is a large black female security guard at the front who is the rudest employee I have ever dealt with in a retail space. I spoke with the manager, a woman with pink hair, who did absolutely nothing except escalate the situation. The lines are the longest in the city as well, expect at least a 30 MINUTE wait. I have come here for years and along with my friends we have spent thousands of dollars. Because of these employees we will never be returning and advise others to do the same.

I've been coming to Sunnyside since the very first day they opened down the street from the current location. I'm actually impressed at how well managed they are. Bjorn, Ari, Joshua, Jerusalem. I can't even name them all but I do so love seeing my dispensary friends. Well done. I compare my experience here to those in LA, Colorado and NY and Sunnyside Chicago is what's up!

Very busy but quick and helpful service. I love the ambience and the store. Other than that its a typical bud store

I was waiting in line for about 5 minutes while 1 employee was helping a customer and 3 others were chatting with one another. The manager comes in and asks if I need help, I said yes and he tells his staff to help me out. One of them says "you need to come to the front of the line, that's how the line works." There's no signage stating where the line begins, I thought I was at the front of the line. They all saw I was waiting for 5 minutes, there's no need to make me feel like an idiot because they were too busy chatting to help me. Super annoying, will find another place to go.

Slooooooooooooooooooooow!!! Pre orders wait in 30 min+ line. Workers act as if they are all mainlining Indica. Go elsewhere.

The speed of service here is non existent. Go to dispensary 33 in Andersonville - where they prioritize customer service.

This is not my go to spot anymore. Traffic in the city sucks and I called ahead. I had placed an order and told him I would be three minutes after 9 PM. And they told me tough unless you have a medical card then there's an exception there's double standards. I still try to race over here. Can't find any freaking parking duh They were letting people in and as I walked up, they shut the door in my face. Medical in Illinois. I'm new to the state. don't wanna come here anymore. Or to any sunny side really. I was not asking for a lot. Disgusted.

The fact that you have to wait in a 45 minute line after placing a preorder ahead of time is absolutely ludicrous. Every other dispensary I've been to has a separate line for preorders and are in and out in no time. I'm currently 15 minutes into standing in line here and there's only 10 people in front of me. Pathetic.

It's always a super long wait here and it shouldn't be. There are plenty of registers and employees, but they never seem to be working AT the registers. Plus, the prices are ridiculous. When ordering online, it shows one price but it ends up being nearly double after their fees and taxes. There are way better places to go in the area. I'm only giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the employees I have worked with are friendly and try their best.

Additionally, the guy behind the desk was very nice. This bitch is seriously needs to consider who their security guards are since they cussed at me and were completely nastyIf somewhere is considered a medical facility, they should let people who are actually paying taxes and the over-inflated prices to know that they may be expected to wait for every single person that comes in with a medical card. I'm eligible, so is 95% of the city. Unless someone's actually ill it is completely absurd to make the people who are actually paying taxes at your business wait. And then to be rude and nasty and tell me that it's a medical facility. Horrible horrible customer service. Especially from the security guard. He informed me it's a medical facility and that I should just wait. What kind of customer service are you guys providing. And this is the second location that has been this nasty to me.

An hour wait before 10am...all the workers here literally act like they're heavy on Indica and move SO slow like you can't put any pep in your step while you have everyone waiting like hogs in a line. Pathetic not worth it.

I saw a review several months back where a guy said he saw large numbers of employees just standing around. Wish I listened because that's the reason for the low rating. I don't care what industry you're in - good, attentive service is a requirement. All I wanted was some CBD lotion to help out with some aches and you would've thought I asked someone the square root of something. The employees walking around weren't super helpful (which is important because I was a newbie) and the worst part was the cashiers. I stood in line for easily 10 minutes and NO ONE even looked up to say "we'll be with you in one moment" until about minute 9. The staff just stood around. Yes - I'm happy with my product. But no - I won't be going back

It should not take 45 minutes to get your order especially when you place it ahead of time. I realize this is the only game in wrigley and I'm sure they know that too. Do better. As soon as something else opens up close I'm done here

Sunnyside (Wrigley) is a solid grab-n-go dispensary. Tons of options, friendly staff and ok deals. 1bad-10good Price (5) Service (10) Ease of process(7) Weed(7.5) ALL Dispensaries in Chicago have heavier taxes and even with a medical card, prices are higher than other areas outside of Chicago. Sunnyside (wrig.) is conveniently located and easy to walk to from transit. The Ordering process can be easy online or off. like any public business in an entertainment area it can get very busy depending on what's going on. (Meaning a wait for an online pre-order placed before a cubs game 400ft from sunnyside might be much longer than a wait for the same order on a rainy day with no events) Employees are always helpful and doing their jobs so customer service tends to be amicable and quick from everyone. The discounts and deals can make buying much more bearable especially if you go for sunnyside sponsored brands like cresco, high supply, etc. gotta be quick and paying attention to catch those larger discounts and bundles. Wrigley Field is also near North Halstead (formerly known as Boystown) which means there is a local queer community present and it's an area that's safer and more openly tolerant of queer people. (I saw a review complaining about there being gays everywhere...when they visited during pride....chillle.) Anyway sunnyside is a solid choice for a couple grams of good green for convenient pickup in the Wrigley area.

Welcoming staff. Knowledgeable staff member assisted me choosing good option for me (another dispensary gave me conflicting advice) Clean, bright facility. It honors Medical registrations. Within walking distance for me so I look forward to learning and purchasing from Sunnyside

I've been to other dispensaries and the attendants are much more pleasant than the staff here. I get that you can't indulge while on the clock but come on, how about not mumbling and when I ask for you to repeat that you don't act like an ahole. Also how about signage that if you use your debit card you're not really using your debit card as not only are you charged an additional $3 fee from sunnyside, but it will also register as an additional charge($2.50 from my bank) from your bank as a withdrawal. And you can only "withdraw" in increments of $10. I'll stick to Zen, Consume and other dispensaries while avoiding sunnyside. ​

I just went for my first time and anyone reading this please look online to see what discounts they offer that's redeemable in store because the budtender I worked with didn't know what I was talking about until I showed him what was on the website and my discount was applied. But then beware you are paying with a chase card. Your transaction might not go through as he was telling me that Chase has been having suspicious activity dealing with Sunnyside so they stop a lot transactions with Chase cards. You'd have to go to the ATM and pull out money, deal with an ATM fee and then they don't dispense money over $200. So for me buying what I got- I had to do two separate transactions on the ATM. The whole operation is lacking extremely and if you're not aware of any discounts, they won't tell you squat! Just my opinion. I've been going to dispensaries all over Chicago and this was by far the most hassle

Croooked company. Check out online and then when you pick up everything is way more expensive than advertised. They said it's not their fault that the website is broken but whose fault would it be? Crooks. Do not shop here.

I've been to other Sunnyside locations and they're usually great but my one and only time at this location (11am on a Friday) was a brutal wait time. Absolutely never again.

This is the worst dispensary I've ever been to. How do you allow a line to get that long with about a dozen people working. Why would you let me through the front area, make me wait in line for over fifteen minutes (at the front) then turn me away because of an ID you let me in with? I also provided a second id. No I won't return with another id. This was supposed to be convenient because it's on my way home. Criminal dealers show more professionalism.

Maybe they should start with having more cashiers and less people walking behind picking up empty plastic containers. Also if you have big boobs that may help you get good service from the staff.

Once again awesome service at Sunnyside this time by I was helped by Josh B. I had an issue with a previous purchase I made and I was hesitant to ask for help as I thought it would be strict but Josh talked to the Manager, she was AWESOME, she really cared about my issue and did everything she could to make it right even though she wasn't required to and I can't thank her enough that made me feel so good that I could talk to her and she actively listened and helped me out so Kudos to you as well I really appreciate you. Josh, I can't thank you enough for your service this isnt the first time and you're always cool. Awesome staff there the really do care about you as a person and not just a customer I've been going to Sunnyside since they was on Clark Street and they was cool then and still cool now. Prices are good, the product is awesome, always a good variety and you're treated like family why not shop here!!!

Waited 30 min in line for a walk in visit. Finally get inside and then have to wait in another line to order. Then was told if I wanted to make an online purchase (trying to skip the second line) they would make me wait in the first line again.... Why not let me make an online order to speed the process up instead of making a customer jump through extra hoops. Never coming back to sunny side again. 0 stars

I love Sunnyside but truly this location is terrible to get to when streets are closed. It's impossible and one of the most frustrating things. It's the only medical Sunnyside I cancel my orders more than pick up due to location and accessibility. Great store and product.

I ordered ahead and am now stuck in line. There's 30 people in line, 1 person checking people out and 5 people walking around drinking smoothies and stacking crates. They are so poorly managed on an operational level that I'll be contacting them as an Ops consultant. Very frustrating times at Sunnyside; excited to yell at the person checking me out. Hopefully it's not the cool dude that's been working this whole time. The real hero. I can't yell at the real hero UPDATE A new person has joined. Cool guy has left. Kill me UPDATE AFTER Total of 40 minutes with 10 people in front of me when I got there. Ended up dealing with the cool guy and he was crabby and a douchebag. I asked if I could get a discount, he said no. I asked if it's because I'm not being nice, he said yes that's why. Never apologized, no remorse whatsoever. Ice cold

Dont come here unless its in the middle of the day when everyone is at work, otherwise you're gonna be waiting for at least 30 minutes in line

This place is much faster than their old location. I used to frequent the other Lakeview location for a few years with my husband. It's great to see how much they've been able to improve their customer intake process over the last year. It's gotten to the point that it only takes 15 mins or less to check in and check out. Right now they require everyone to pre-order your items. I highly recommend pre-ordering your items before you arrive at the store so you can expedite your visit. I've seen a lot of people pre-ordering once they arrive at the shop so it takes a little longer to get through vs when you order at home and come to the shop. All you have to do is visit the Sunnyside website and select which type of visitor you are i.e. Med vs Rec. They have exclusive items for Med but a nice selection for Rec but they are always running a sale so you have a chance to save some money. The items are definitely a little pricer but that's expected for a shop close to all the popular bars and Wrigley Field. Most items should last you a decent amount of time if you aren't a heavy cannabis user. The inside of the shop is giant and reminds you of a Apple store or the giant Starbucks on Michigan Ave. This is a big upgrade from their last location. The last shop was tiny to the point that they rented out a place across the street to intake customers and have people wait. They were able to consolidate the shop into one building! The biggest bonus is that they have multiple lines to keep things going. They have a few dedicated Med lines and a few Rec lines. I highly recommend stopping by to check out the place but expect to shell out a pretty penny.

I've had nothing but good experiences. I order ahead and usually go early in the morning. The lines aren't long, and I'm in and out in 20 minutes top. The staff are always good about explaining the cost and the atm fees.

Took 4 regular before medical because they have only 2 out of 5 tenders helping medical.

For the first time since going to sunny side (couple of years) the cashier was kind of rude. Usually the cashiers are super friendly and helpful. Not my experience today. I hope this won't become the norm.

The new, shiny facility closer to Wrigley is now in full swing! The selection of edibles and cartridges are nice but the flower is still overly packaged and consistently super dry. This is probably for quality control and state law requirements. From the time you've stepped inside, be prepared to commit AT LEAST 30-40 minutes to pick up your order (and that's if you don't have to wait outside first). With that said, if you drove your car: be tactful, pay the meter, and obey all parking signs because you are not just running in-and-out of there. I can't really say there are peak times you can avoid because regardless of whether I walked in at 10am on a Wednesday, 5pm on a Friday, or 9am on Saturday...it always seems very busy. Even with 15+ kiosks available, the line doesn't move any faster so just be patient. Medical customers getting preference over recreational customers adds to the line's inefficiency so if a wave of medical customers keeps walking in while you wait--you're screwed. The wait times, flower dryness, and over pricing at Sunnyside has lead me back to calling up my local business owner* and I only come to Sunnyside for edibles at this point.

Wonderful, easy, bright, crisp, and yet warm. Words I'd use to describe my experience here. Very easy check in. Easy to maneuver. Easy website to order ahead. Helpful and friendly staff. Like an Apple Store but a dispensary. Clean, crisp, and crack-a-lackin! Would recommend!
