I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Ashburn Sunoco. From start to finish, their focus on customer service and quality work was evident in every interaction. Very poor customer service, rude and does not know how to talk to customers. Apparently, they do good work at a reasonable price, but with the attitude and poor customer service I will never go hear again or recommend this place to anyone. How you treat your customers is a big part of your business. Don't talk down to people and give them attitude and act like your customers are all stupid. That is a bad way to be treated. Maybe you did not hear the phone call. I had to stop him from talking and ask him to talk nicely to me. I never said except was wrong, what I'm saying how he talked to me was wrong. Wrong. I stopped him in the middle of his conversation to let him know that. I didn't know there was a problem with my windshield. I bought this car 5 years ago and it's past four inspections like it is and no one ever said anything. He could have said it in a nicer way instead of talking down to me like he did. I'm not a stupid person. I'm very educated and I don't expect to be talked to like he did. I have been in customer service for over 35 years and a manager for 30 years. I train my employees better.

Was recommended by a friend to try their services because I needed my car inspected. I would highly recommend them. Awesome communication and customer service. Look forward to having them do more work in my car when needed.

I would absolutely recommend this shop to anyone who is looking for fair - priced, quick, honest work on their vehicle. I walked in and described the work I thought I needed have done, and was given a call a day later with a thorough explanation of which parts were actually in good condition, and which needed repair/replacement. All recommendations were sound and priced fairly in my quote. The work was done quickly, and I was kept in the loop the entire time. This shop feels like a mom and pop, without that standard overcharge and slow speed. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.

Best garage in Northern VA. They have maintained our cars (including my 93 Corvette) for years and are the only ones that I would trust to work on them. Great service by good people at a fair price.

I can’t put into words how incredibly grateful I am for them keeping my older cars (both from 2005) in great working condition! They are honest and worth the wait if they are busy… the past 4+ years they have given great advice on how to keep them running and the difference between the “have to fix” and the “you’ll eventually need to fix” stuff.

Honestly, I don’t really expect to be blown away by service when I take my car in but this team has done it every time. By far the best auto body shop in customer care, expertise, value, etc. that I’ve ever experienced. I feel lucky that this is my neighborhood shop but if I moved, I wouldn't be opposed to traveling to continue service here.

I called here on a Saturday and was busy. So I called back Monday. The man told me to come on Wednesday at 8 am. So I called today on Tuesday. The man on the phone told me that I wasn't on the books for Wednesday. I told him had an appointment. He said that isn't how we work. I said work. He said could drop off and doesnt know how long before could look at. Then I asked if could be fixed if diagnostic was showing problems. He said that is not how we work. I said huh? He said would be Saturday or after. I told the man had waited 5 days to get into garage. That when a car makes noises. Time is an essence. He had the audacity to ask then why driving.. I told him no lights on and have hit curbs way to many times to count. I have no choice have to work. I told him that a few days is reasonable as waiting more would further damage. He continued to only say that is how we work. I counted at least 5 times. It showed how incompetent this place is. If that even schedule. How will they know what parts. Lol. I want to say to the man you have no customer service and this is not the way it works when looking for a mechanic to fix your car. I actually saved myself from not walking into that place. Im sharing my story because what a waste of thinking had an appointment. To actually be lied to. I asked him how am I suppose to know "this is how we work" his exact words. if Im first time customer.

Finding a new mechanic can be stressful, especially when unexpected repairs pop up and you need something repaired quickly. Just our luck, right before my son was going to take his driver's license test, one of the yellow "check engine" lights came on. DMV will inspect your car before the test, there can be no warning lights on. And this was the day before the test. We called Sunoco @Village and they were beyond great! Quickly diagnosed problem (O2 sensor), ordered a new one, and replaced it that day!! The price was fair, the communication and work outstanding, really really appreciate it.

If you're looking for value and speed of service, I hands down recommend this spot. Came by for regular maintenance work, including yearly inspection/emission. I can honestly say, as a crew, this is one of the best mechanics in the area. The clerical staff is responsive & genuine, mechanics are meticulous and the service is not timely. The inside gets hot, so recommend wearing silky undergarments. If you need more serious work, the other reviews speak for themselves. 5*

The professionals at Sunoco are great. When I bring my car here I know that I can get an honest assessment of the problem and a good price.

Since we moved this has been our go-to shop!! They're honest, reliable, friendly and so far we have no complaints! Haven't had any major work done. Just your usual oil changes, inspections, brake jobs, etc. I recommend them. Their hours are good, they have 24hr drop off and usually get everything done the same day.

This is my go-to place for repairs. They have always told me the truth about my car. All 4 cars get every regular maintenance here. They can always work you in in a pinch. Do not mistake this for Ashburn Tire and Auto (I will not go here).

Found a bolt in a tire, they patched it so fast, I barely finished my breakfast. Great price, fast service, very professional. I will be back for sure.

I have a Model A Ford 1930 coupe and needed my tire tubes replaced. I first went to Ashburn Service & Tire (before going to Ashburn Village Sunoco) in the same strip maul area (Ashburn Village). They would not even look at the wheels just because they had a tubes in the tire. They sent me on my way with no hope of getting my tubes changed in my 5 tires. A tire company that won't change tubes in tires. What a joke!!! I needed gas so I went to the Sunoco gas station about a football field away and remembered there was a 3 bay garage at that location. It is called ASHBURN VILLAGE SUNOCO ASHBURN AUTO CARE - boy what a difference in attitude. They took my 5 tires right away and had the 5 tubes replaced that afternoon. I highly recommend ASHBURN VILLAGE SUNOCO they are responsive and were careful not to scratch my rims. From now on they will get my Model A work and my modern car care. I was very pleased with there work. Great job guy's!!!

My 2007 Tacoma needed some significant repair work (rack & pinion, lower control arm, valve cover gaskets) and I didn't trust any of the bigger shops in Ashburn or the dealership to get the work done without taking a financial bath. I found Ashburn Auto Care (AKA Ashburn Village Sunoco) and was impressed with all the positive reviews. I reached out to them, and they gave me a fair estimate. Furthermore, they allowed me to get some of my own parts. Many shops won't allow it. They completed the work a lot sooner than expected, and it's driving like a new truck. Communication is quick and easy via phone and email. I cannot say enough good things about John and his team. In fact, my Tacoma is back in there today for a bad starter. All the work really not unexpected on a vehicle with 240,000 miles on it. If you need some auto repair and you want a fair shake, do yourself a favor and call Ashburn Auto Care. I'll be taking all my cars there from now on. So glad I found this place. Thank you, AAC!!

A quick update - my daughter's car needed some repairs to pass a vehicle inspection (which she didn't have done at Village Sunoco) so I told her to come here for a second opinion since I trust this business. I previously had some work done here while I was in VA and was very pleased (see my previous review). They quoted her a lower price and she has scheduled to have the work done next week. The biggest thing she said in addition to the lower price was that they were really very kind as well :) Thanks for taking care of my daughter and her car since I am all the way out in CO. I will post another update after the work is completed.

This is an excellent service center for car repair. My daughter and her husband took their Range Rover Sport to them for a second opinion after receiving a less than comfortable diagnostic and quote elsewhere. They were given exceptional advice, superior service, wonderful support, and even a loaner vehicle while the parts were being ordered and the work was done on their vehicle. The shop kept in contact with them throughout the process, and the contract was clear and concise. The cost was reasonable, as was the time to complete the work. The people who work here are professional, y friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and experienced experts at their craft. They have earned not only our business, but our respect, and referrals.

This place is amazing came in with a flat , Didn't even know if I had a spare didn't have the tools to get the spare off , they figured out a way how to get the spare tire off for me and put it on so I could get home safely, Friday at 4 PM right when they were getting ready to close ,ordered me two new tires had them here for me Saturday morning by 1130 and I was in and out the door in an hour at an amazing price these people are phenomenal, I can't thank them enough for taking care of me the way they did ,, Tom and Collin were great ,, Thank you again guys

First time here and will definitely be back! John and the lady working there (I didn't get her name) were so friendly. Felt like we were old friends and they were fast with our emission inspection to boot. Can't believe I've lived here 12 years and haven't been here yet but now my new go to spot!

Can't say enough good things about this place. Honest customer service and reliable work are the least. My vehicle engine's light was ON for almost 6 months after taking it to 2 other car repair places and Chevrolet dealer with no result other than having this light on again in less than 2 days. John is incredible, he communicate well my car issues and what to do to resolve it and how much cost. They fixed it the same day before of the promises repair time frame gave me. Definitely recommend it and will use his services again!

John is great! Fast, honest, and amazing service. I feel like he cared about me as a person and my car. I have a 2007 Toyota Camry hybrid. I towed it to them in the late afternoon without an appointment. I wasn't expecting them to get back to me until the next day since I brought it late. They called me later on the same evening and told me what was wrong. I was hoping it wasn't my hybrid battery, but it turns out it was. I got piece of mind quick and I was able to come up with my next step. They do not work on hybrid batteries since it really should be done at the dealer. They didn't charge me for figuring out what was wrong. I can't express enough how I appreciated their service. I'm from California and I'm a poor struggling nursing student. I definitely recommend them and will refer my classmates to them. TLDR: I had a great, fast experience. The staff really cares about the people and the cars they work with. I would recommend them to my friends. Fast, honest service. I will come back for future car needs.

My car had a 'critter infestation' that caused all sorts of issues. Lacey & his team were awesome getting us in promptly, communicating clearly and effective is making what could have been a very expensive repair much more manageable by working smart. Great job guys!

I'm really keen on customer service and this place is amazing! I always feel intimidated going into car shops but they are very attentive, efficient, and professional. In this review, I compare this Sunoco with the Broadland's VA Tire & Auto (where I USED to go) If you want to hear me blab on about my experience, read below: I needed to get an oil change. Due to the high Yelp reviews, I scheduled an appointment for the following morning. So, I walked in and I was greeted immediately. After check in, I was told that the service would take 30-45 minutes (not too shabby of a wait time). I noticed that they have a shuttle but I did not ask about the shuttle service because I planned to wait. They are conveniently located in the Ashburn Village Shopping Center. So, I walked to the Dunkin Donuts. I received their call and they finished about 43 minutes from dropping my car off (again, not too shabby!) When I came back to pick up my car, they told me about my check engine light (which I already knew all about). But they did a complimentary computer code reading to see why the engine light was on! (Virginia Tire & Auto charged me $110+ to do that freakin test code thing *red angry face emoji*) I used to take my car to VA Tire & Auto because they are good and are convenient, although I found them expensive... Let's compare price for an oil change on my Sequoia SUV v8: This Sunoco $71. VA Tire & Auto $120+ without coupon. My overall experience here was amazing! Don't get me wrong VA Tire is great too but I'm a college student that is on a budget. This Sunoco goes above and beyond! I will continue taking my care here! Fast, efficient, fair. The guys working here are knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. One of the only times I haven't felt pressured to have more work done than what my car needed. I feel confident in their work and appreciate their honesty and fair pricing.

Very good and profesional service. They took really good care of me from beginning to the end. I called, and a very nice lady answered the phone and got me scheduled for a tire replacement at a specific date and time I requested. Very polite and customer oriented! The mechanic, John, I met the day I dropped of the car was very polite as well, and called me as soon as the car was ready. I did bombarded him with questions when I went to pick up my car and noticed the front wheels were switched with the rear. He kindly answered everything in a very professional way and never lost his patience with me when my questions kept coming and coming.....and coming..... He clarified everything in the nicest way posible. I would definitely return here! And would recommend them to everyone !

I always use gas buddy for the lowest gas prices and this Sunoco is always on top! Always come here since it's close to home too. All those cents add up in the long run

We have worked with this shop for years. We just had an issue with one of our cars and it reminded us why we keep going here. I recently had my wife's car in for service. The dealership wanted a crazy amount of money for a coolant, brake, and transmission flush. I Spoke with John and he was able to do everything at a lower price and explained everything. Very clean shop and excellent work. I really appreciate it, I will continue to service my vehicles there.

I have consistently received great service at a fair price from Ashburn Village Sunoco. They can get busy, so it's best not to expect that your work will be done immediately but it will be done by the time they estimate. Today, I stopped down in the morning and asked the best time to come back. If I ever have other concerns about my car, they give good advice. I've learned that garages that offer oil-change specials and other gimmicks will end up finding other places to charge you more for work that very often does not need to be done. Not so at Ashburn Village Sunoco. John sets the tone and hires honest people. Tom is like John. The mechanics are like Tom. I know that good people are always working on my car!

Went to another auto service place in the same shopping center, was told I needed new brake pads, rotors, and calipers -- was quoted a little over $1000. Felt like I was being ripped off so I called and spoke with John, super nice, quickly gave me a quote over the phone and it was much cheaper than what I had been quoted at the other place. Brought my car over and after they took a look, I was told that my calipers weren't locked, contrary to what the guy at the other place had told me. Ended up paying ~$400 for everything (and a safety inspection) vs over $1000. Super friendly and honest people!

Ashburn Sunoco is a successful and busy shop because of John and Janessa (and their staff). Honest and fair evaluations and pricing-better than most in the area as they will explain everything to you and actually work with you for the absolute best price and work performed! Highly recommend taking your vehicles to John there.

It is SO hard to find honest reliable mechanics. I swear by my normal team in Alexandria but since moving to Ashburn it is difficult to schedule time. I gave this group a chance with safety inspection and then brought back for new tires and shocks. I am very pleased with service and will return for other recommended tasks to keep my 2005 running well for several years to come!

I don't write many reviews on yelp, because I truly feel like when you go to an establishment, you're SUPPOSED to get treated well, treated honestly and get what you pay for. So the reason I feel the need to write a review for ashburn village Sunoco, and more specifically John M. and Jenessa m., is because they did all of that AND more. I wasn't just treated well... John and Jenessa went above and beyond to give me the best price to fix my engine mounts (the best price in all 6 shops I visited!). But it's not all about the price, right? It's also about the time they took to figure out and explain exactly what I needed, exactly why I needed it and exactly when it could be done. I am a nanny and have up to 4 children under the age of 8 in my car every day. They are my top priority and Ashburn village Sunoco made it their top priority as well to get my car back to a safe mode of transportation for myself and these children. I not only needed engine mounts done, but I needed my windshield replaced. When John recognized that, he asked me what price I had been quoted, made a phone call, found a better price for me and scheduled me to get it done on the same day as my engine mounts! If I didn't find John and Jenessa, I could have lost my car and my job. But because of them and their honestly and diligence, all is right again in my little world and I am so so grateful that there are still shops and mechanics in this world with people like them. I would NEVER recommend any place else!

Finding an honest mechanic is an awfully difficulty thing to do. What's the last time you feel like you got rip off while visiting your mechanic? Probably your most recent visit. Once in a blue moon, you will find one that is really great. I won't say there are other ones out there that are as honest, but let me tell you, John from Ashburn Village Sonoco really knock my socks off and blew the stereotype out the window. Himself and his team are all professional, they know what they are doing, and they take the care in doing their be bestest job. You can see the passion in their eyes. Thank you for servicing my car. My wallet's still bleeding from the $300 work that my car had, but it's mostly because my car really needed it.

Made an appointment for an inspection and emissions test at 9:00 today. Got there a few minutes before 9:00 and was told it would be 10:30 and that there weer people in front of me. I explained that was the reason I made an appointment. She (never seen her before) told me it was a matter of state law (trying to patronize me). It appears they know how to take a reservation, but can't seem to hold it. Been going there for a few years now, but don't plan to return.

Had my AC condenser replaced by these guys and they did a great job. They charged a fair price for the work and used OEM Honda parts. Also, they didn't try to sell me any other random services like the other shops in the area.

Been going here a few times and they've have been a little much on the pocket. This last time will be my very last for the communication I received about what repairs need to be done, I chose to do mostly myself in which the manager then CONTINUED to try and get me to pay him to do it saying and I quote "don't do it yourself because you're going to f**k my job up for later!" !!! I'm sorry but for any mechanic to assume the job is going to be easy? Isn't that the main REASON of taking your vehicle to a mechanic? As well after his attempts to upsell did not work the price was STILL extremely high for the minor project I had them perform! Tried to have a rational discussion about the price in which he then sends a female in place of him to come and demand my keys and money as well as calling a police officer to bully me into her demands. Saying if I don't pay what they are asking it is a form of robbery, WHAT ABOUT THEM ROBBING THE CUSTOMER?! To be treated the way I was treated is unacceptable and do/will NEVER recommend this shop for anything! Not even an oil change!

I went there for the first time today and TOM WAS AWESOME! He was honest about my car not worth being fixed (It is a 1995). Other places would have nickel and dimed me. I will definitely be bringing any future cars there and recommending them to family and friends.

John takes care of my 1968 Skylark. Service is always outstanding. They always go above and beyond to make sure my baby is running smooth. If the work needed is to specialized John has referred me to outstanding mechanics in Fairfax County. I highly recommend Ashburn Sunoco!

Once again, an amazing experience. I was quoted over $700 for the services that I received here by the Jeep dealership. My wife, who works in car sales, said that I wouldn't get out of there for under $900, which would include trumped up charges and unnecessary services. Ha!! John and his crew did an oil change (synthetic oil, filter et all), complete lube, radiator flush and service with anti freeze, running light replacement, tire repair, and filled all of the tire air pressure to specs. All with a wry smile and completely professional servicing! No BS here, no added services that weren't needed, just good, honest service! John even asked why I wanted a cooling system flush, and if I was sure that I needed/wanted it. I said that I was sure, as I had never had it done on this vehicle before, and wanted to be ready for winter. The dealership charges at least $170 for a synthetic oil change alone, and around $185 for a flush/servicing with anti-freeze. The dealership wanted around $120 for the running light replacement, as it was "a special order". Geesh, it's a 2015 Jeep Renegade! Special order??? I never get "that I need this or that" here, they do what is needed at an amazing price, with expert advice on keeping things good to go. So, are you ready? All of this for around $200! I made a bet with my wife about this repair order, and John and his crew. Obviously, I won. People . . . this is an "old school" service center. By "old school", I mean honest, hard working, professional . . and did I say HONEST?? My wife and I will never go anywhere else, and you shouldn't either, unless you want to pay for things you don't need, and pay inflated prices. And . . . no, I am not related, and have no invested interest in this business. I am just so happy that in this day and age that there are still honest, hard working people who are do it right!

Everyone here is awesome. They remember the customers and try to work with the best possible costs, understanding the financial concerns of their customers. They are ALWAYS friendly and very pleasant to talk to. I love these guys.

Ashburn Village Sunoco is a great find in the crowded Ashburn car repair market. We have used them twice and have found they provide high quality work at good prices. I especially like that they are NOT always trying to find some extra issue on my car to drive up the tab like the other repair shops in the area.

Found this Gem of a shop in the heart of Ashburn. They are not a big business who only cares about you money and selling you BS. They owner and his wife are there and explain things to the T, they don't try to upsell you on BS like big shops. One of there Mechanics MARTY was awesome and walked me through everything. He had my car done fast and made sure I was happy with everything. THIS PLACE IS HONEST AND DOESNT RIP YOU OFF FOR WORK YOU DONT NEED. As I waited everyone old or young who came in got the same warm genuine treatment. If you need some work done small or large check them out.

I have lived in Ashburn for over ten years and have serviced my cars at various mechanics within five miles of my home, with mixed results. On a whim I decided to drop off my car at Ashburn Village Sunoco for an oil change and A/C service, since I figured I might as well try a new mechanic. The owner, John, is a very amiable guy, who is forthright with his recommendations. However, he recommended that I have my transmission and power steering fluids flushed since they were very "dirty." He also pushed an induction service that would clear the built up carbon in my engine and improve mileage and performance. I'm not a mechanic, so I had no basis to challenge his recommendations. The bill blew me away but given the time and materials required to perform these services, I assumed that was the cost of car ownership and sucked it up. I subsequently did some research online and discovered that power steering flushes are generally not recommended as they can leave behind minute metal particulates that could cause future damage. The induction service was unanimously denounced as a money maker that is basically unnecessary, period. There seemed to be mixed opinions regarding the transmission fluid, though given the mileage on my car (55k) and driving conditions, it seemed to be justified. For the majority of us average joes and janes who don't know squat about car maintenance, I suppose we'll continue to be at the mercy of mechanics that recommend work that may not be necessary. As for myself, I won't make the same mistake again. And by that I mean I will do my homework before agreeing to any additional work that any mechanic recommends.
