Absolutely top notch donuts - maybe honestly be the best donuts I've ever had. As someone who often consumes the usual chain donuts brought into the office, this was truly a game changer. You'll have to stop yourself from overindulging, because you will sure be tempted to have "just one more!"

Always a good treat when you go to Sunrise. Fresh, well portioned donuts and rolls. Stop and get yours while they have some left!

I have loved the long John's from here for many years. They are filled with a fluffy white mixture that also frosts them. I like the Danish and appreciate all the great baked goods but these are my favorite. My sister used to live in the area, so now whenever we are in the area we place an order.

Was visiting a customer in Beatrice. Called ahead to get 2 dozen donuts for my meeting. The staff was quick and friendly on the phone. My order was ready when I got there, packed up very nicely, and most importantly the donuts were delicious!

Best doughnuts in the business. Cream fillings are smooth, not too thick. They have been in business for over 70 years. And I have been a fan for all of them. Just wished I lived closer! You don't come for the ambiance. But service is great, and doughnuts will bring you back!

Good donoughts. Not the most friendly staff. Coffee smelled good but was too late in day for me to order/drink. Shop is small and not very inviting. Definitely a place to grab and go with order.

I came here late on a weekend morning! I got the simple glaze donut, long John, and a danish donut! It was so good, the donuts did not taste heavy and tasted so fresh! I was so lucky to be able to try this place. I hear it is the talk of the town donut shop! And we got 3 donuts for 4$ ish!

Some of the best baked goods and doughnuts you can get in town, would recommend if you are wanting to pick a dozen up for a event.

We stopped in for their donuts, which they had a great selection of. We also came home with some of their fresh baked white bread and Amish noodles. We can't get enough. The noodles were amazing, and the bread was just incredible.

A simple bakery with good coffee and a great selection of baked sweets. Bread was delicious too. Donuts are awesome anyway and theirs are fabulous.

This bakery rocks my socks. My parents and I were driving back home for the summer from Lincoln, NE. Beatrice is a small town located about an hour away on our drive, and so we decided to just check the place out for a bit. We found a restaurant that got good reviews on Yelp (The Black Crow), but it didn't open for lunch for another half-hour, so we decided to chill at the Sunrise Bakery just a few doors down. The place is kinda small, but there's plenty of selection and ample seating. The young lady at the counter (whose name I really wish I could remember) was really sweet and funny. My parents got an elephant ear to split, while I couldn't decide because everything looked good. I asked the girl what the best treat was, and she suggested the "Long John," which was a rectangular pastry with sprinkles. They had a bunch of different kinds, so I told her to surprise me. She selected a creme-filled, chocolate sprinkle-topped one that looked delicious; she said I'd love it. We also got a water and a green tea because it was a warm, humid day. We get to the check-out counter and the girl rings everything up: $3.63. I remind her of everything we got because I liked the place and didn't want them to shortchange themselves by forgetting to add something. The girl tells me that no, that's everything. I stared at the price is disbelief for a solid second. Two doughnuts and two drinks for less than 4 bucks! And the best part is the Long John was GOOD. It was soft and chewy and...it was just so good. Looking back on it, I don't know why I didn't get like an entire box of them to go *kicks self* As much ragging as I do on small towns, the Sunrise Bakery really is a gem. Great snacks at great prices, and plenty of charm to boot. The next time I'm driving to or from Lincoln, I'm definitely gonna try and stop in here.

This is one of the best bakeries you will ever experience. You'll be back for the rolls with their light as air dough and delicious icings, fillings or just as is. Try a chocolate frosted cinnamon roll, a pecan roll, a butter roll or fruit filled danish - apricot, my fave. They have delicious cake donuts and glazed twists, plus cream-filled long Johns with a choice of frostings. There's more, but you need to stop by and see for yourself. It's a popular spot, so don't wait until the afternoon. You will still have something yummy, but it might not be your first choice.

The best donuts ever. This place is a community staple and for good reason. Everything is delicious and the staff is very nice. Usually very quick, even with lines out the door. Only reason for 4 instead of 5, is that often I get a day Old Long John without being asked. I live for the Maple Almond, but I don't think many know they have it, which means they aren't always fresh.

Best bakery in the world! It's been here, literally for 100 years. My grandmother took me here when I was a child. I'm from Omaha, have lived in Vegas and still loving those butter rolls.

I grew up in Beatrice and come back to visit family once or twice a year. My kids LOVE Sunrise and it's probably their favorite rite of passage to go there with grandpa each trip. Great donuts and not at all expensive.

Sunrise Bakery is a hometown gem. You can't find a full service bakery like this in the small towns around. You can get donuts, rolls, bread, noodles and if you need a cake for a special occasion, they do that also. They have a variety of soft drinks and of course coffee to go with the melt in your mouth pastries. The atmosphere is that of a small town coffee shop, which is the way we like it. Love this business!

Sunrise bakery is a Beatrice staple and has been for some time. Any of your favorite bakery items are available at a reasonable price. You have better luck getting what you want if you go early in the morning, especially on Saturdays. Sunrise is a very no frills building, with dated decor and seating if you choose to enjoy your breakfast there. What it lacks visually it definitely makes up for with their goods!

Best hometown bakery! You cannot find a better chocolate cake donut anywhere! Sorry Dunkin'. I've purchased many birthday cakes awesomely decorated. I just took them a napkin or picture of whatever my child's current favorite character and they'd create it. We even used them for a wedding cake. Cookies are my kids' favorites.

I've used this bakery since I discovered it almost 40 years ago. I think we are very lucky to have it our town. Their Parker House rolls, sweet rolls, and cakes are outstanding. And they make other bakery items--just ask for what you want to see if they can bake it for you. When our children were growing up and I didn't have time to bake a cake, I got a wonderful decorated cake from Sunrise Bakery. And like the previous review, the prices compared to city prices can't be beat. My diet is restricted now so I'm not supposed to eat the carb loaded items they sell. Not being able to enjoy their products is one of my biggest regrets.
