Exploring the world one plate at a time! Sun’s Kitchen 老孫家 is a hidden gem for traditional Chinese cuisine—no General Tso’s or Sesame Chicken here! The menu is packed with authentic dishes, and we’ll definitely be back for more.
We kicked things off with the Dim Sum Flight, featuring pork buns, shrimp dumplings, siu mai, and xiao long bao—the dumplings stole the show. We even tried chicken feet (shock factor aside, they were actually really good!).
Next up, the Skewer Flight: lamb, beef, broccoli, tofu, fish cakes, and mini sausages. The broccoli and beef skewers with spicy seasoning were our favorites. We also got a squid skewer, and wow—probably the best thing we had.
The Dumpling Flight was a standout—each wrapper colored naturally with veggie juice. Flavors included pork & chive, beef & carrot, chicken & mushroom, veggie, and shrimp & chicken. Handcrafted and packed with flavor.
For something different, we got the Beef Stew Rice Bowl—hearty and delicious. Washed it all down with classic jasmine tea, which was super refreshing.
Sun’s Kitchen is the real deal for authentic Chinese flavors, and we’re already planning round two!
