Lower South End’s counter-service spot turns out a photogenic dim sum and dumpling flight alongside dan dan noodles and skewers. Named among Axios Charlotte’s best new restaurants, it’s casual, quick, and proudly local.

Got an order of Bao buns and dumplings. The dough tasted fresh. Food was tasty. My father got some lamb skewers that were also good. A little pricy for the portions though. Service wise, would prefer traditional style instead of the tap kiosk(would improve the experience in my opinion) but that's just my preference.

DASHER REVIEW On this pickup order I found a new place that I need to try. The atmosphere here is wonderful. Elegant, but not too bougie. Clean. Peaceful. Tucked off the busy streets of South Blvd, Sun's Kitchen is a marvelous place to take your loving partner, or even just a lil date fling thing lol!. A bit on the pricey side, be sure to bring your wallet. But that kind of goes with the territory with this type of delicate, chef prepared, specialty food items. All in all, I definitely recommend Sun's Kitchen to you and everybody else reading this.

Thought this food was very okay. Personally, I won’t go back. It was pretty good. But I spent $70 and just thought this food was okay. The Ma-La Wontons were good but the spice wasn’t it for me. The Pepper Chicken & Cumin Lamb was tender but just no flavor. Like, if this had sauce with it. I think it would be really bomb.

Absolutely a gem. Have been here a few times and the food never disappoint. Highly recommend the chili oil wonton, amazing mala flavor and perfect bite size pieces. Dan Dan noodle and any of the skewers are also a must. Parking may be hard especially around evening/weekends due to the restaurant sharing the same lot with a sports bar.

Loved everything about the restaurant, you can order from a screen located at the entrance or through a qr code at your table. The place is beautifully decorated, food was delicious especially the dumplings which were amazing, definitely be back.

Stopped for dinner while in town for a show and was hoping for authentic Chinese food. This definitely hit the spot. The Dan Dan noodles and Sai Do Si (peanut butter sandwich) were my absolute favorites, but everything we tried was good. I'd probably skip the dumplings just to leave room for other things. Definitely plan to come back and try more of the menu!

We loved our lunch here. My wife and I stopped in around 1 p.m. on Saturday. We had the dumpling sampler, cumin lamb, and classic jasmine tea. It was good. The lamb was flavorful with a good spice. All of it for around $40. We can't wait to come back for the beef skewers.
