Staff was so helpful before and during the trip. The whole experience is so easy. Never had to walk far. I love that they were only 20 rooms at the hotel so it felt so special. Bathrooms are too small. The restaurant bar over July 4 weekend was so mobbed and chaotic. But I guess to be expected.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sunset Beach Hotel is a quintessential Shelter Island escape—effortlessly chic, beautifully curated, and perfectly positioned for unforgettable sunsets. The relaxed yet refined vibe makes it an ideal destination for both locals and visitors seeking a taste of coastal luxury. As a real estate professional with deep ties to the East End, I often recommend Sunset Beach to clients and friends looking for an experience that blends style, scenery, and service. Whether enjoying a sunset cocktail, a weekend stay, or a waterfront dinner, it never fails to impress. Grateful to have such an iconic gem so close to home. — Cassandra Leggio, Licensed Real Estate Salesperson Curating Legacy, Refining Worlds

We ate at the restaurant. The service- and I travelled 60 years to offices in 14 countries and 4 continents.- is second to none. The politeness and efficiency of the personnel, particularly Sylvana and the Sommelier, without this excluding anyone, was top of the top. I was more impressed than at Plaza Atheneé in a Paris, the politeness being the main factor.

Marco at valet went above and beyond to help us! Food and beach was also amazing! Give Marco a raise and a day off to enjoy the beautiful beach!

I don’t do this. I’m not a review writer but I have to take the time to give kudos to Silvana (I hope I spelled it right). I was at Sunset last night reuniting with a friend of over thirty years, it was a special moment and although the place was packed Silvana floated through the guests effortlessly always making sure her tables were being looked after and were enjoying themselves. She had a warm and genuine disposition while still being efficient and not hovering. Literally perfect service. The food was delicious, the wine is always great but Silvana was amazing and we were glad to have been seated in her section. We hope to see her lending her hospitality skills to SI again next season.

Staying at Sunset Beach is like stepping back in time through a portal to the South of France. The 20 room property is just big enough to make you want to stay put, no matter how many nights you booked your stay for. ||The spotless rooms, complete with private balconies, are designed with simple, comfortable “beach shack” vibes. ||The restaurant, bar & boutique remain the place “to be & be seen”. Food & drinks are delcious and the crowd is timeless… no matter the age group or attire (Chanel to sandy flip flops). ||During the day, guests are provided with complimentary euro loungers & umbrellas…. no worries about waking up early to grab a decent spot. The boutique is an eclectic mix of beach wear for women, men & kids. This year, I especially loved the addition of St. Bart’s Madame Hortense & her Liberty print collection of shorts & dresses. ||I cannot say enough about the service & the staff….friendly, accomodating and prompt. Nejla specifically! She was absolutely amazing to work with. We had to reschedule a long weekend due to illness and she went above and beyond to issue a credit AND found us a room during the busy 4th of July week. THANK YOU NEJLA!! :)||Sunset Beach is a ($$$$), seductive, laid back, 20 room motel overlooking a pristine white sand beach with breathtaking sunset views. It’s well worth it!

After looking forward to re visiting a place I loved going with my family as child i was BEYOND DISAPPOINTED upon my return. I was staying at the hotel, and made dinner reservations for that evening. My boyfriend and I are a young couple and it was obvious that because of this we were not taken seriously. We spent 40 mins waiting for our table when we had a reservation while we saw other couples who had walked in after us being seated immediately. On top of that, one of our appetizers was forgotten and throughout the entire dinner I noticed side eyes and nasty stares from the waitstaff who when the bill came, was expecting an over 30% tip which is OUTRAGEOUS for how little was actually done throughout the dinner. We came there excited to celebrate an anniversary, and the entire experience was completely unwelcoming. The service was absolutely terrible and the waitstaff were overall inattentive and nasty. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! This is must be the worst service experience I have ever had. As a returning customer who has grown up staying at the sunset beach hotel I can say that this will be my last visit after this incredibly poor experience.

Yelp
Not worth the hype. Got a glass at the bar & when seated at the table, they forgot my 2nd glass of rosé. Everyone else got their drink. I asked 3x!!!! Seriously. Then gave me a small pour compared to others at my table. My Niçoise salad was tuna from a can. It took 30 extra min to get orders without any explanation at the beginning. Do not recommend.

Yelp
The staff really did their best to stay out of the way when needed, be in the way when wanted and pretty much get you anything you might need at a whim. Tesla & EV chargers available. Nate, was exemplary and truly made our experience super comfortable. The rooms were very relaxing and the decks are super spacious. It's was super nice to be able to walk to the beach for a dip, come back to the outdoor lounge area where the fire pits are for cocktails, and then head up to our room for a morning nap. Restaurants on Shelter Island are all 5-6 minutes away. At breakfast they have coffee and croissants at the Sunset Beach office where you check in, and Friday thru Monday mornings they have yoga on the beach. Sundays from 3pm til they close are Balaeric Sundays featuring DJs that rock it. Highly recommended for a relaxing, calming and very chilled beachy stay. The property is truly unique and the staff definitely added to that magic on our stay.

Yelp
This place is beautiful but the service is awful. Come get a drink at the bar, do not eat here. We sat down at 8 and ordered pretty quickly, all the cold dishes came out fast but for a full hour no one checked on us. No one came to take drink orders, tell us where our food was, and water cups sat empty. I wouldn't mind waiting if drinks were flowing but there was no contact for a full hour. There were other larger groups getting antsy as well (and getting into it with the waiter I might add). If it was like this on a Wednesday I can't imagine the wait/service when it is actually busy. Shoutout to the back waiters and bussers that were hustling as the waiters were nowhere in sight.

Yelp
It's so horrid how a place with such a nice and fun atmosphere can be so disrespectful to its customers. From the moment we stepped in and were seated, my party and I felt immediately abandoned as we waited for our food for a solid two hours. It was a busy day clearly and all restaurants have bad days, but we flagged our waiter so many times just to get an ETA on our food and we kept seeing him dance to the ambiance music with other customers and staff as if they had no worries. When the food did come out, it was unseasoned, small portioned, and just felt so careless. For such obscene prices, we figured the food would at least be better than what we can make at home. The food was somewhat undercooked and port of our dinner was sent to the wrong table! Furthermore one of our dishes never arrived, and they sublimated the dish for a smaller dish. The staff were incredible rude to a member of our party, after treating us as terrible all evening. Even when we righteously jotted down a poor tip based on the insulting service, the waiter caught eye of it and made the party feel uncomfortable by pointing it out and tried to misdirect the blame off of him. The waiter who abandoned us actually asked for a better tip! This is my very first yelp review just to let you know how garbage this place was. PLEASE dont encourage this restaurant's horrendous service by paying money here. It looks fancy and nice, but it does not deserve to be a business after what we just unapologetically experinced.

Yelp
Had lunch there today and the place is pretty cool; amazing water views, great food and drinks. Our servers deserve special recognition. Jonathan R is one of the kindest, most personable servers we've ever had. He is really quite special. Also, Ajax, Bojana and Benji deserve recognition too. All four are amazing and Sunset Beach is truly fortunate to have them on their side.

Yelp
What to order? Well, you should subtract 8+ of the items and start from there. The food is above average but it's limited to start and even more so when they run out of the duck, branzino, chicken, clams, and more. Don't mistake this with the fact that this is a HOT spot where all patrons dress in their best beach chic, you feel like you're in a European beach paradise and the cocktails while expensive are strong and delicious. Worth the trek, but don't go at the end of a week. You might not have anything left to choose from. PS: be prepared to wait at least 15 minutes even if you're on time.

Yelp
So first almost all guys working there are super nice ! We had same guy twice he was amazing ! Super friendly and he did amazing job 5 stars . But yesterday girl forgot make a drinks for us he did order and 40 min later we ask for check they push the drink on us saying they are comming the girl she gave them to us but how she throw them on table was soooo rude . Place cool to go to watch how people dress some not some they think is New Years party in summer , a lot older guys with money and of course young girls with boobies out running around this all old man ! Funny and scary what people will do for money . And trust me the old guys are really scary looking one . Good place to go on weekend to show Your dress . Music 5 stars , one of best music ! Forgot say drinks are just water ! Like a water

Yelp
What am I missing?!? I never mind spending money on a quality meal, but what I was served and what I paid was crazy. Food was slightly better than average. The $48 Veal was over cooked, the $48 poussin (fancy name for Cornish hen which I knew) was super dry and really had no taste. The service was bizarre. You never saw your waiter, getting water was like getting hand sanitizer during the outbreak of COVID and none of the staff seemed to care. I'm a pretty stubby guy but I was an amateur compared to the staff. Obnoxious, and rude. Young hostess was just a miserable, nasty person. In short, I travel, I eat in great, good and the occasional bad spots, but what I was served and ate for the ridiculous price I was charged, just doesn't make sense. Sorry to rain in anyone's parade but skip this place. And I doubt this post will get any reply from management. They truly don't care! Oh and the average price for a drink (liquor) of any kind is $25. I kid you not!

Yelp
On a beautiful Thursday morning in West Hampton, NY this L.A. boy took a lovely boat ride to Shelter Island. Not much could ruin this day as boating in the East Coast, "Smokes" boating in the West Coast! As we approached The Sunset Beach Hotel, this strip on land which lays in between these large estates and mansion looked like a comfortable laid back oasis, which it was. The menu was beachy, sea-foodie, comfort foody fair. I had a terrific nicoise salad with some wonderful sour dough bread (S.F'ish style) and my wife had a fresh tomato salad. The others in my group had branzino, a good looking cheeseburger some calamari and a bunch more. The food couldn't have been better, but the setting was the real hook. The upstairs deck was where we were seated and our view of sand and sea was remarkable. The same owners as the Chateau Marmont Hotel in Hollywood where I spent most of my youth misbehaving, this is where I would do the same if I was decades younger and single. Thank goodness I'm neither but being here with this vibe, brought back a slew of memories. I loved this place!

Yelp
I don't know why it has such a low overall score - we had a fabulous time here for a girls' getaway weekend. Staff are friendly and accommodating (and gorgeous to boot), the rooms have a rustic/beachy vibe (white on white, with pops of color here and there), the location is absolutely fabulous, and did I forget to mention the staff were incredibly friendly? That was one of the highlights of our stay- interacting with these young, vibrant people from different parts of the world who came to work the "season." We loved finding out where they came from and why they decided to come work at SB. They work so hard, and do it with a smile. Major props to the beach attendants who set up your chairs and umbrella (digging into the sand with a shovel) in the the hot hot sun. Stayed for a weekend (Fri-Sun) and we thoroughly enjoyed our room, the restaurant/bar area, the outside patio and fire pit, the petanque court, the free bikes, the DJs spinning music, the paddleboards, and the awesome location just steps from the beach. We also attended their post-4th-of-July fireworks dinner and fête - fun, fun, fun!

Yelp
Wow. This hotel was disappointing beyond comprehension. Firstly, there's no phone number for the hotel. The voicemail has been full for days so it doesn't even ring. The desk is completely unmanned. We had a group stay and had no soap in the rooms, power outages, breakfast that was promised but didn't exist. Had some wet pasta for $40 which was as disappointing as the overall service. Save your money and go literally ANYWHERE ELSE. I would have communicated this to a staff member, if there actually was anyone working there.

Charlie B.

Yelp
Food and drinks were good. Service was god awful...nobody checked in on us and we got rushed through our entire dinner. Wouldn't mind paying the expensive price if the service was great but it wasn't. Won't be going back. At a place like that the service needs to be top notch. Whoever is overseeing this needs to do something about it.

Yelp
Wonderful spot especially the beach club. Joe M at the beach club was wonderful and set us up with two chairs and umbrella. He was extremely friendly and accommodating. Usually the hotels in the Hamptons don't have good service but this was the exact opposite. Joe really made the experience above and beyond at the beach club. Make sure to have him help you!!! The food at the sunset bar was also amazing especially the kale salad. All in all this was one of my favorite places in the Hamptons!!!

Yelp
THE party on Shelter Island. If you rent out the fire pit, make sure they turn that damn thing down (no one likes singed eyebrows). Definitely hit up the back area or the dance floor and always order twice as many drinks as you need, the lines are long if the back bar is closed. solid for getting off the beach during the day and finding some shade as well. oh right... the hotel itself.... all I can say for a 400-500 a night room is... location, location, location. there ain't many other options. Personally, the Chequit is great by comparison but too far away, and while the Pridwin is walkable and about $100 cheaper, you really REALLY don't want to stay there. I've stayed in $20/night Tijuana hotels (with a $50 security deposit btw) with better accommodations!

P B.

Yelp
I agree with Moo. What's with all the negativity? This place is pricey, but it's nice. A quick ferry ride and you really do feel like you're on vacation. Beautiful spot and no rif raf. Treat yourself and give 'em a chance.

Yelp
is it just me or does the sunset every day here? everytime i have gone; i have seen a sunset!! its great; it will never dissapoint. its the Best Beach Around!

Yelp
I'm lucky enough to have not read any of the reviews left by other reviewers as I write this, We found this place to be an incredible spot for an evening out. The lighting in the trees and across the property will stop you in your tracks and the layout of the courtyard will want you wishing for a seat on the couches in front of the fire pit. The music was not terribly loud and the drinks, while a little more expensive, were a great way to cap off a nice dinner. The beach is literally right across the street complete with volley ball court and sand. As for the service, the bartenders were friendly and quick to make a "fake drink" for a party member who had enough already while not giving away the secret. During the day you'll probably see more exotic cars in one spot away from a car dealership and the people who own them. But Shelter Island is a perfect place for this and the Sunset Beach Hotel and Restaurant.

Yelp
A same day dinner reservation was made for Saturday, August 10th at 6:30PM. This was an annual visit with a friend that I was looking forward to since the summer began. Our entire experience was a HUGE disappointment and I expressed my feelings to the female manager on duty, at approx. 7:00pm. Instead of satisfying the customer she was very defensive and had an answer for everything. I told her that I visit every year and she really didn't care. She basically told me to go elsewhere for dinner if I wasn't happy. Her attitude, along with the hostess (long brown hair) and the waitress in the "open seating" area were horrible. Complaints to the manager: 1- As soon as we arrived (5:30PM) we went to the upstairs bar and I ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio, Italy. When I took a sip, I noticed something was wrong with it. There was no taste at ALL so I told the bartender. He asked if he could take a taste. He apologized because water had gotten into the bottle. He offered to open a new bottle and replaced the wine. You charge $17 for a TINY glass of wine and it tastes like water?? (BTW: THE MENU LISTS THE GLASS OF WINE AS $16....IT'S ONLY A $1.00, BUT IT'S THE POINT)...THE MANAGER SAYS "THESE THINGS HAPPEN, HE REPLACED THE WINE". It should NEVER happen. 2- 20 minutes prior to the reservation, I went downstairs to check in with the hostess. I asked if we were going to sit at a table upstairs. She said there wasn't anything available and that the only table available was in the front area in the sand. I said I made a reservation earlier this morning and she got annoyed and said very nasty, "People have made reservations weeks ago for those tables". So all dressed up in white and wearing heels, we proceeded to the table in the sand. As I went to sit down, I noticed that the chair was EXTREMELY DIRTY. To the point that I didn't want to sit down. I grabbed a napkin to place on the seat and the waiter saw that I was upset and I stated that I'm not happy and that I'm not spending $200 + to sit in the sand and on dirty furniture. He says "people spend more than that and they sit at those tables". A RUDE comment THAT WASN'T NECESSARY. BUT he did offer, as the hostess should have, another table inside but the wait was approx. 1 1/2 hours. So, we waited in the open seated area and ordered an appetizer (Ham & Brie) until our table was ready. The service was extremely slow for ONE sandwich. After waiting for approx.. 1/2 hour- 45 minutes, we asked where the food was and the server says, "they didn't bring it to you yet?", we said no. The server had an attitude the entire time like she didn't want to be there. They bring the sandwich and we said doesn't it come with fries? They checked with the chef and then brought the fries. Then we ordered shrimp cocktail. You would have thought they went out to catch the shrimp. It took so long to serve us. Just very bad service overall with everything. We constantly had to ask for water, another drink, etc. I TOLD THE MANAGER THAT EVERYONE HAS A NASTY ATTITUDE, ESPECIALLY THE HOSTESS, SHE SAYS THAT "SHE'S EXTREMELY BUSY".....Is that my problem? Don't work in that kind of atmosphere if you can't handle your job......I ALSO STATED THAT WHEN I MADE THE RESERVATION, THEY SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME THAT THE ONLY TABLES AVAILABLE WERE IN THE SAND. IF I WOULD HAVE KNOWN, I MAY HAVE CHOSEN TO GO TO ANOTHER RESTAURANT..SHE SAYS THAT THEY CAN'T TELL YOU THAT..REALLY?? I FIND THAT HARD TO BELIEVE.... YOU KNOW WHAT TABLES ARE RESERVED UPSTAIRS, RIGHT??... 3- When we were handed the check for the appetizers, I asked for the manager so I could express my disappointment. Her response to my complaints shocked and annoyed me. I told her that because of the experience I didn't want to have dinner there and she told me that I am welcome to go elsewhere. While driving to the restaurant, a friend of a friend told us to go somewhere else for dinner because the Sunset Beach Hotel is overpriced and the service is not so good. I was disappointed to hear that because I always enjoyed it. My friend was disappointed as well. I will never go back again nor recommend it as I have for so long. AN EXPENSIVE RESTAURANT SHOULD HAVE EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE.

Yelp
Go for the sunset and stay for the cocktails. Great views and nice vibe. Salad and oysters were fresh. Will return next summer for an overnight-Did not see the rooms though.

Yelp
5 stars for ambiance. Pretty much 4 stars for everything else. Worth the trip from anywhere in the North or South Fork. The ferry ride is quick from Sag Harbor, and it makes the trip interesting, and when you get there the view is one of the best in the Hamptons. Spectacular sunset, fun atmosphere, solid food. The lobster specials on Monday night are amazing. I had the pan seared halibut, and that was also quite good. The staff is friendly and as helpful as you can expect given that all the customers out here are entitled and demanding, and the help is seasonal. Expect Hamptons summer prices, but go anyway.

Yelp
Sunset was a joy loved every minute of it! Great food mussels r a must n jambon sandwich for afternoon bite the drinks were off the charts !! Gimmie shelter best cocktail, the scene was straight out of Europe cute parents kids in tow !!! I loved it all ferry ride is short n fun staff was very accommodating Jake was wonderful... Plus if u get bored on island in ten min u can go navigate greenport

Yelp
When your waitress tries to upsell you for a more expensive bottle of wine and tells you that the $80 bottle that you ordered is "shit rose made from the worst grapes in France" ...otherwise, love this place.

Barbara F.

Yelp
A Nikki Beack wine on Shelter Island. Kiki made us a special cocktail for our anniversary at the beautiful sunset beach! Ask for the "26", delicious, fresh ingredients and a refreshing craft cocktail. Eric was a friendly assistant to Kiki and of course, the setting was stunning.

Yelp
Very overrated $18 per drink just go somewhere else rude staff. Many better restaurants in the area don't bother

Marie P.

Yelp
This was the biggest let down of a hotel.. they charge $730 a night. The room was dirty , furniture was all cracked and weathered, shower was broken, sliding door was not able to close completely, the bed was on four small pieces of wood and when I looked under there there was pink pellets (not sure what that was) the bathroom was so small you could hardly close the door. The walls had water damage (MOLD) the walls were never plastered really!! the deck hasn't been cleaned in who knows how long. We were supposed to stay 2 nights but we were so disgusted we left the following day. I did let them know all these things and told them I would not be charged for that second night and they didn't charge me. Really you have the whole winter to get your Hotel in order..

Mel R.

Yelp
With our original waitress the rating would be much much muchhh lower, however Miguel took over in her continuous absence and was amazing!! He did so well taking care of us- and we were here for a bachelorette party and he made the night so memorable with his energy and excitement for the bride to be :) highly recommend requesting him to serve you! (Surprised us with celebratory dessert too!) Food and scenery was fantastic!! I would definitely go back but obviously with the request of our new favorite server Miguel!

Tanya K.

Yelp
Great vacation spot, relaxed, good food, good service. A bit expensive, but the rooms are spacious and clean, with private balconies. Breakfast basket with coffee, orange juice and pastries brought to your room in the morning.

William P.

Yelp
Return? No Atmosphere (3) Nice location facing the bay but the crowd is cheesy nouveau riche and the maitre d' was a bit dismissive Food (3) Food was average and way overpriced - burger (3), fries (4), Nicoise (3+) Service (1/4) Maitre d; was obnoxious but our waiter was very friendly Cost = $53 for two before tax/tip... $24 middling hamburger says it all
google avatar

Cait L.

Yelp
Atmosphere is awesome, theres lots of levels and views of the sunset over the water, along with a backyard and a live band and fire pit. Food was good (i ordered the mussels with fries) but slightly over priced. As for the service, this is where the two stars comes in. We had two people; a waiter and a waitress. The waiter Josh was very nice and personable- he made sure to always pour our drinks and made sure we were having a good time. On the other hand, our waitress (with french accent who never gave us her name) was rude and pushy. At the end of our dinner we gathered up the money to pay the bill- this took a minute, as you can imagine 7 girls most with cash and two cards. She came over looking to see what was going on with a comment implying she thought we were having a problem paying. When we gave in the money she took it to the back and charged the cards, coming back saying that when all was said and done we were only leaving a $50 tip- we counted multiple times and made sure the tip was $150. We asked her to recount and with doubt she went back and reached behind the counter and grabbed the extra hundred. It was almost like she didnt even look at what she was reaching for. She fake apologized and smiled to us; One of the girls replied back with a "yeah we aren't that drunk". It definitely left a bad taste in our mouth. Im sure there have been drunk rich people who would have not thought twice and just thrown another hundred, no big deal, but she had the wrong people. Not to mention $125 a pitcher of Mojitos is a little ridiculous when they watered it down to almost nothing. Basically, id go for a drink and be done- take the north ferry over to greenport for dinner and have a better more affordable time over there.

Yelp
My husband and I set out for our long awaited get-away to Sunset Beach hotel, a place we have visited several times before. We had "confirmed" written reservations for a 2 day stay, beginning the Tuesday after Labor Day which were made 2 months in advance through their website. When we arrived, we were informed that the hotel was "closed" and they had no record of our reservation. They offered no recourse in spite of the fact that they were hosting a "private party" on the premises which obviously involved the facilities to remain open in order to accommodate the party goers. We were forced to find another hotel to spend the night. Upon returning home, I sent an email to the manager (Manolo Sorensen) who can apparently only be reached by email. They do not provide a phone number for their managers and the phone to the hotel is rarely answered. It's been a week and in spite of my numerous follow up efforts, Mr. Sorensen has not responded to my complaint nor offered any compromise for the waste of time, money and inconvenience caused by their inefficiencies or inconsideration. We would never have ventured to the hotel if they had simply contacted us prior to the date of arrival. If you're looking for a nice location with a lovely beach, suggest you look elsewhere, unless you are ok with being treated like you don't matter and can let disrespect and incompetence roll off your back (while paying exorbitant prices). The hotel obviously feels that their guests do not warrant any explanation or compensation for their mistakes and are only doing them a favor by allowing their reservations to be honored as stated. They need new management and a new attitude about customer service and customer satisfaction.

Yelp
Pretentious place which charges $10 for fries. So you can figure out how much are the entrée dishes. I should have checked yelp for its rating before I sit down for a bite, ". A bite " is literally what they serve.....not even enough to fill the corner of my stomach. A snobby place with awful food but beautiful waitresses. I had to stop for 2nd dinner which is called STARS café and I highly recommend. Pass the beach scene and go for quality food just around the corner.

Rick K.

Yelp
We sat down for nice dinner to watch sunset but didn't make it past the drinks as the entire tray of drinks were dumped on my wife's back. We had driven an hour to shelter island for dinner and the evening was ruined. Waitress was apologetic and got the manager. You would think they would offer you a round of drinks or maybe an entree, but no. Nothing. Manager was smug, extremely condescending and offered to pay dry cleaning bill after she asked what the dress was made of and said I'm sure it will come out. In addition, the waitress was quick to mention that the $40 entree didn't come with any sides which can be purchased for another $10. Crazy.

T S.

Yelp
Wow, maybe the worst service I have ever had in a hotel. This place is beautiful and I'm sure there is a lot to do if the weather is nice. Unfortunately, on our vacation a huge storm rolled in and the hotel was empty. We were the only people eating in the restaurant our first night and when we woke up to a downpour the next day, we decided to go home early. Our plan was to check out a day early and have that 2nd night of our 2 night stay credited to a future reservation. Even though I was ready to book our next trip immediately, the manager said "there was nothing he could do". I made it clear that if he couldn't help us we would not be returning to Sunset Beach on our next trip to the Hamptons area. He was not concerned about this and suggested that we take advantage of their "extensive" DVD library. As mentioned in a previous review, their rooms are not very inviting and if I'm going to stay in and watch movies, I'll do it at home. We left early despite having to pay for the night and will not return to this property. I understand that maybe you can't officially transfer a reservation but any effort to work with us would have been appreciated. Clearly our trip was ruined. We tried to contact the General Manager Steven twice after our trip and even tried contacting AB Hotels to share our feedback and heard back from no one. On our next trip out there we will be staying at Ruschmeyers or Surf Lodge, that's for sure.

Yelp
Loved this place. Great place for afternoon drinks. We sat at a table upstairs and drank all afternoon and had a great time. Highly recommend it.

Yelp
Mark is the best chef in the world!!! Simple and delicious...great vibe good people. The ferry ride is part of the enjoyment. Staff is excellent from maitre d to hostess to servers and bar staff. On my way back there now for a sunset Supper fiesta

Yelp
Food and drinks were spot on. Service is very polite but a little slow. That view!! Came back the next day for breakfast: coffee- eh, French Toast- WOW.

Yelp
We ate lunch at the restaurant and they slipped a $52 bottle wine charge on our bill which we never ordered. I called to give them a chance to correct the "mistake" but they didn't pick up the phone. Their official season was supposed to close 5 days after we were calling. Guess business was so bad they closed early for the season. I also emailed them but never got a response. Lame. Desperate measures to make some money. Very disappointing.

Yelp
I was expecting a chic, trendy, boutique hotel. I experienced an over-priced room badly in need of a facelift. The location was excellent, the food was decent but the hotel itself left much to be desired. Great potential but poor execution.

Yelp
I stayed at the hotel overnight and ate at the restaurant. A very "sceney" place. Hotel rooms were very clean and basic - our room (and maybe all of them?) had a great little balcony that looks out onto the beach. Hotel staff was friendly. Food and drinks were good - although a tad expensive - but I think that is a given for prime season.
