Enjoyed the food here. Wings are very good. Get the sampler with the three types of sauce. Meatloaf has onions on top. I tried the chili cheeseburger and onion rings. Donuts are good too.

Great breakfast spot! Fresh orange juice is some of the best I’ve had, and a generous portion. Service excellent and fast. Omelette and pancake with eggs platters were good and very filling. Definitely coming back to try the more traditional Mexican dishes. Cash only. It was pretty full but not more than a 5-10 minute wait for most places.

In Brooklyn for an art exhibit and we got there too early so we decided to stop in for coffee and a snack. So happy we did! The nicest people working there ❤️, great coffee, perfect fries and yummy donuts. Will return for a proper meal 😁 Accessible ♿️, street parking. Varied menu with lots of healthy choices. When we got to the art exhibit we met a couple that, when they lived in Brooklyn, considered Sunset Park Diner their absolute favorite diner!

Best diner of the city!! We came here last year since our hotel was next door. This year we booked the same place just so we can have breakfast here every morning. Service is on point, food is fresh and good, 10 out of 10!

My family and I had a brilliant breakfast here when we visited New York. The food was delicious and the staff where very friendly and kind. The only thing I would change is being able to pay with a card, but they do have an ATM inside the diner.

I love the weekend breakfast/brunch. We got the farmers eggs which came with chorizo, fried cheese, eggs, tortillas, rice, and beans. No matter the time of day, the food and service is always great.

Great atmosphere and the food was delicious, the menu has it own creativity and be prepared to only use cash

To be quite honest we were literally starving after attending a kids birthday party and couldn't find a place to grab some early morning breakfast . We drove past this diner and surprisingly for Christmas eve morning it was a full house . It was a typical diner setting , booth seats , no frills .... But everyone was so helpful and we didn't take long to get seated. We ordered the basics but also decided to try a french toast combo called the sunset and a side of fried cheese (dont ask, his head was pounding) Food was brought pretty fast and everything tasted great ! I literally have no complaints, and it was typical diner prices ! Such a pleasant surprise. Thanks guys

Food is good but over priced for the area, there not in park slope or Bay ridge, customer service is ok, but at times they forget or get your order wrong. I usually order scrambled eggs with bacon and home fries, I didnt order home fries with left over scrap, burnt stuff on the grill, hey I know your busy and working fast to attend orders, but your paying for your food and want quality not quantity or left over burnt bacon, over, a cup of coffee is 3:00 due to inflation or like the guy said, COVID, really.

12am I'm starving & want pancakes sooooo here we are & let me tell you something. QUALITY diner. The chocolate chip pancakes were made from scratch and were absolutely delicious. I'm not a fan of eggs but when you're getting them on a deal, why not. But now the turkey bacon. See. I love me some turkey bacon and eat it frequently. When our waitress asked if I would like the turkey bacon well done I hesitated for a moment, I had never been asked that before. Since she stumped me I obliged and I am so happy I did because the cook on that turkey bacon was EVERYTHING. It had a beautiful char and smoky flavor without being burnt or too crunchy. Honestly some of the best turkey bacon I've ever had. I'll be back, no question.

Fish and chips were... odd. Pancakes cold. Omelette average. Too expensive. Cash only. Only perk is that it's 24 hrs l.

Fried chicken is straight up raw. Had to put it in the airfryer. PS. bring back the old staff. They cook well!

I only got Munchies Fries Im from Baltimore so this was my 1st time trying this place. It was 4am. Customer Service Excellent. Everyone in the restaurant was friendly and answered all my questions with no problem. I definitely switch my Munchies fries into "Love Amazin Fries" lol they got it right tho. And it was tasty and REAL bacon on the fries YUM

Food was delicious! The restaurant was nice and clean. Staff was great and focused on customer service! We were visiting Brooklyn for the first time and were very grateful to have found this place within walking distance from our hotel.

I got a Philly cheesesteak deluxe with onion rings and it was fresh, except for the lettuce that was in a Ziploc bag, which was withered. Other than that, I really enjoyed the meal, it was very tasty; the homemade iced tea was really good as well.

SPD is a jewel in Sunset Park. They have been consistent throughout the pandemic, preparing best breakfast in the borough. So glad they have survived and remain purr go-to Sunday brekkie spot. Coffee is delicious, omelettes perfect, pancakes simply delicious. Reasonable prices, good service, and cash only-- so hit the ATM and treat yourselves! Ps: We got the Boston cream donut today, review to follow!

The service and food were great. This place is clean. The menus, the tables, the condiment containers were so clean. Prices were more than fair. I highly recommend this diner

Food isn't bad as it's cheap diner food (not hard to mess up). b ut whatever you do, DONT ORDER TAKEOUT ON AN APP. Friends and I had a late night a few weeks back and wanted to order some food to my apartment. We placed our order around 2am. The grub hub app claimed the food would take 40 minutes to prepare and 20 minutes to deliver. Nice. It is now 3:30am and I call to check on food, guy who answers says "it'll be there soon". I call again at 4am, guy says "itll be there soon." I call again at 430am and they stopped answering my calls! haha. The grub hub app said the food was delivered and we never received it! We all cut our losses and go to bed. My buzzer rings at 5:30am!!! THe food arrived, the driver was rude and the chow was soggy. Never again.

I liked this restaurant, but unfortunately will not be ordering anymore due to two bad experiences I had through Seamless. A couple months ago, I ordered food and left instructions for a contactless delivery. I received a picture of my food at an apartment building that was not my own-different color building, different door, different stairs, etc. I texted back several times with no answer. I received a refund from the app and had no trouble the next time I ordered, and because of that, I assumed it was a one-off situation. I just ordered again, and received a call that my food was outside. I immediately went downstairs and outside to my front door, and my food was nowhere to be found. I went on my phone to call the driver back, and when I did so, I realized that it was the same phone number as the driver who stole my food the first time. I received another refund. I called Sunset Park Diner to let them know about the situation, and the woman I spoke with immediately got defensive. Instead of asking questions, she told me that I was wrong, and that due to my "special instructions," which she read out to me in a condescending tone, the driver left the food outside the door and some random person on the street must have stolen it in the seconds between the call and me walking to the front door. Besides the fact that the street was completely empty when I went outside, this situation has never happened to me with any other restaurant on Seamless, ever. I don't like to leave bad reviews, but this is not right. I thought it would be nice place to continue eating at since I am moving into a new apartment very close by, but I can't do so after what happened. Do not order from here if you don't want to run the risk of your food being stolen and experience getting gaslighted by their coworker.

This has to be one of the worst experiences I've had ordering food. The driver refused to come up to my apartment and cancelled the order. When I called the restaurant, the receptionist told me that the driver had cancelled the order because I cursed him out, something I never did. The receptionist and everyone I talked to at the restaurant was extremely rude. I have never experienced a restaurant so unprofessional! Please do not order from here!!!

Such a nice place to stop by for a quick meal. The French toast was super good and their omelette was so flavorful. Definitely get a side of home fries, those are my favoriteee

I went there at 3 am with friends and asked for water for my drink with my food . The server said he cannot serve water because he was busy and we jus buy water bottles. We then said he was being rude and we are canceling the order . he said he dosent care . I have never experienced going to a restaurant where they dnt serve tap water . I been here often and never experienced this type of rudeness.

A solid place to order a late night sweet. Ordered doughnuts and a slice of pie and it was all delish.

As I am basically a lifer in the Sunset Park area, I have frequented this diner many many times, but over the last several years my experience is mostly with delivery. The food is good, the staff is nice when you enter the diner, they do not accept cards, only cash which can be tremendously inconvenient. However, they do have an ATM machine in the diner. it's relatively small and gets very crowded on weekends, especially Sunday mornings. Now for the delivery phase, they often take quite a long time when you order for delivery and the men who bring you the food often play the confused role or claim not to have change so they can get a much larger tip than what they should. Overall, the food is decent, but they should send the men out with change also. the portions are relatively small, but other than that, I am happy with the service they provide.

Ordered via Grubhub. They were offering 25% off for a first order. Chose a variety of diner standards. Delivery guy shows up with receipt for the full amount. Had to spend 30 minutes disputing this error with Grubhub while the hot food sat on my counter. None of the special requests were honored. Limp, anemic fries, oil saturated, rotten fried fish filet, brisket so dry that it fell to crumbled pieces after the first bite of the sandwich. The 2 stars are for the best blueberry pie I ever had.

Breakfast in Sunset Park is not exciting ... so settled for basic egg breakfast plate ... it was ok ... Comes with orange juice ... and coffee ... the juice had a very strange flavor ... the waitress said it was fountain orange juice ... uggh

Sunset Park Diner & Donuts is right on the corner with street parking in 4 directions (we were half a block away for free). The food is standard diner fare. Booths are comfy. Restroom timer is hysterical, it's on like a 30 second on/off cycle so be prepared to waive at it while conducting your business. Pancakes and waffles come in a stack of 3, which will be plenty when considering the rest of your sides. The best part of the place is Doneeta. She's a gem. Great smile, polite, and always checking on you. Made me and my wife feel like family. Thanks D! Also, only payments in cash are OK, but there's an ATM at the door.

This is often where my husband and I go for breakfast after he does a 24 hour call shift and it's pretty good. An extensive menu -- just what you'd hope for from a diner and the food is pretty decent. They've got all the breakfast fixings - waffles, pancakes, eggs, roasted potatoes, toast, sausage, bacon.. you get the idea. All of it tastes pretty good but I wouldn't call it amazing. I often get a club sandwich (all of their sandwiches seem pretty good actually) when I come but try to stay away from their soup because it isn't particularly tasty. My cousin also got a penne dish when we went once and it also didn't look very appealing. That said, I haven't tried everything. Service is decent here (the staff is always kind and attentive and swing back often) and you're always able to get a booth. It has coffee refills which is a must when you're in a diner which is great -- but their coffee is pretty bitter. It's diner coffee, so don't expect it to be tasty! We continue to come back due to the extensive menu, the great staff, and ease of eating here. The prices are also ultra reasonable. I always leave wondering why I paid so little for a decent meal! While I don't think this place is perfect it's exactly what a diner ought to be. I love that this classic diner is a part of my neighborhood and it's one of the many reasons I'm proud to live here.

Delivery guy made it quick and simple, their coffee milkshake is the bomb!! Must try if you like coffee flavored things.

A 24/7 diner with good food, that's cheap, that serves generous portions, that delivers at all hours of the night AND has an extensive menu? I don't really think there's anything that they should do differently. So thankful for this neighborhood institution. + always appreciate the end of day donut freebies that are often dropped into delivery orders :)

OMG this food is not only presentable but you are also served a large portion. Don't go on my recommendation, just order, taste and let your taste buds become willing participants!!

It's was around 2am when I found out about this place, I didn't expect too much from this place, But it was amazing not only the food but the service was totally amazing! Huevos Rancheros my favorite!

Amazing food, I order a large breakfast once a week for the family, But the best is the ICE COFFEE it contains coffee ice cubes!!!!OMG, don't have a picture I sprinkled suger on ther and nibbled on them, lol

The waitress working the late late shift is sweet and could not be more lovely. Might be our new favorite 24/7 diner. Fast service, excellent diner food. Everything you could possibly want in a Brooklyn diner. Recommend the tacos, 2 egg breakfast, and curly fries (best item to order at 1am). Donuts are probably much better in the morning versus midnight. Have yet to try one in the daylight hours, it's tough when you're living the night owl life. Around since 1981, longer than most millennials, duck in here to avoid them. Unpretentious, but quality late night eats.

How do you advertise as 24 hours but we get there at 3 a.m. and some latino is telling us it's closed. I even called the number before leaving and they were open.

Amazing! Food was okay but customer service was excellent. Missed something on the order and remade it, redelivered it and threw in some doughnuts!

Their breakfast used to be soooo good!! But i went last week, their home fries were soaked in oil!! My family felt like they were scooping oil from the plate. I love bacon but here it was unbearble... super fat n not even crispy.

With fast, reliable delivery in the neighborhood, this under appreciated gem often sends us free donuts when we order dinner from them in the evenings. Their menu isn't as extensive as some other diners, which is to their credit- they appear to be focusing on fewer things and doing them right. Omelettes, burgers, grilled cheese and lemonade are all excellent and the tacos are a delicious surprise, and very legit. Those donuts are the real star, though. Updated to add: they put frozen coffee cubes in their iced coffee so when they melt your coffee stays strong. They deliver fast and they almost never make a mistake. They are superstars.

So it's been almost a year since I post a review about this diner. I ordered $59 worth of food. Pros: buffalo chicken wrap, curly fries, croissant, ham lettuce tomato cheese on roll, Turkey lettuce tomato cheese on hero. Cons: I ordered 2 croissant only received 1, chili cheese fries was soaked in oil (horrible), tomato on the sandwiches are cut over the top thick so your sandwich looks full but its really not, chicken noodle soup I ordered it didn't receive it WTF, and finally 4 donuts 2 chocolate 2 vanilla they all felt soggy was placed in a white paper bag on top of each other sticking to one another and all the vanilla on one of the donuts came completely off because it was stuck to the bottom of the bag. I'm not sure if I'll order from here again.

Stopped in for breakfast on my way to a meeting. Food was quickly served, cooked the way I wanted and tasted great. Service was good and the price was reasonable. Then I saw that they had donuts. After chatting with the manager I learned that they made the donuts themselves. I got a plain cruller (since what better way to test a donut than to have just a plain donut). It was great. Browned to perfection and tasty as all get out. Definitely will return and maybe next time leave with more than one donut.

The delivery can take a really long time, but my order is always correct and the food is good. I really like the fried chicken dinner.

They might be the only decent diner in Sunset Park. They recently upgraded the interior and store front face lift. They look much nicer! I like their Mexican style breakfast. My kids love to buy some doughnuts to take home. Currently cash only but I hope they start accepting credit card in the ne'er future for more convenience.

This diner calls 90 minutes after a grub hub order was placed and I been charged that the "delivery driver doesn't want to deliver the food because of the distance" what?????????? I never heard of that in my life. Take yourself off food delivery apps then. Deplorable

Came here because my boyfriend was craving french toast. The food was delicious. We ordered the eggs with fried cheese, sunset park french toast, curly fries, and a glazed donut. Highly recommend the french toast and fried cheese. Sooooo good. The service was excellent as well. People were very nice. Beware, they only take cash!

We moved to the neighborhood about 3 years ago and walked by Sunset Park Diner plenty of times. On a recent late night we finally decided to stop in after trying to find something open late and sit down through Yelp. Can't believe we waited this long! The food was good, people were nice, and was lucky to have Doneeta as our waitress! We have since ordered for take out twice and the food is prompt, hot, and just as good! I suggest the Shredded Chicken Quesadilla!!

I ordered Penne Alla Vodka, since friends have had good pasta here before. According to the online ordering system it was supposed to come with salad and bread. It did not. I figured this was disappointing but would have let it go if the pasta was good. However, the pasta was terrible. I have no idea how this was possible, but it literally tasted like nothing. Will never make this mistake again.

It's diner food, nothing that stood out for me. I got the corn beef hash with eggs which I asked for well done, but the hash came out mushy. Good service though and homey ambiance

I got delivery from here yesterday and I had to write this just to say it was the best milkshake I've ever had, no cap. The brisket was good as well, with the sides and soup it was enough leftovers for lunch too.

Love the "old-New York" quality this place exudes. If you're looking for "hipster" bells and whistles this place 'aint it. Think instead of 1980s New York that didn't live with on an iPhone-Life Support or cared for Wi-Fi or any hipster stuff of that nature. This is a place for good and affordable food...a no frills diner, if you will. Bring a friend and conversate instead of updating your Twitter / Facebook status. Open 24/7, you really get to see the faces of the working class people who make sunset park a great neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York.

I love this diner - to be fair, it helps that I live very close and that it's 24 hours. The donuts are great, weekend brunch/breakfast is always a treat, and the waiters are incredibly nice. Check out their milkshakes, the spinach and walnut salad, and my classic favourite, grilled chicken with vegetables and a baked potato. I can't forget to mention that their ranch has a nice garlic flavor that I can't help but love. Note: Cash only! Unless you order from Seamless.

I grew up in NY and miss the true diner experience. Sunset Park Diner harkened back to the places of my younger days and makes me jealous we don't have cheap, tasty and quick joints like this for breakfast where I am now in California. Got the three egg veggie omelette which was loaded with spinach and broccoli and came with potatoes and toast (you can get wheat if you ask.) Decent portions and well cooked eggs. It wasn't greasy and my breakfast was super yummy! It was just the right amount of food. Total was $5.75-in fact our total bill for two with drinks came to $16 total. Who said NY was expensive!!! For a Saturday it wasn't super crowded but still buzzing and had a nice vIbe. Homey and clean decor that felt cozy. Cash only, they are open 24 hours and deliver. Oh how i was I could clone this place and put it in Walnut Creek, CA. A true neighborhood gem! The Yelp 100 Challenge!

I've been coming here often over the years. I have tried many things on the menu. My favorite thing to get is the chorizo hash with eggs. The donuts are a must too.
