Sunset Smoothies and Ice Cream

This ice cream shop was the best one I have been to. The owner Dana was there, and she is so sweet. We arrived just as they were closing and she still served us. Today was her 4th day open after being closed for 8 months after hurricane Helene. Please go visit this shop, and help get her business back on track. The ice cream, shakes, and workers are amazing!

What a great local gem! The ice cream is absolutely DELICIOUS! The staff is incredibly friendly and kind. The shop is super clean and decorated so cute. Fair prices, close to the beach too.

Stopped by Sunset Smoothies and Ice Cream. So good! Options complete the spectrum of goodness. Anywhere from sweet and fun Ice cream to healthy smoothie options. Also protein waffles!!! What!! Absolutely amazing Ice cream and loved the cones - very fresh

Absolutely perfect spot to grab a smoothie before heading to the causeway to chill. My wife tried the blubery cheesecake and peanut butter protein shake. I tried the blueberry cheesecake and spinach protein shake. We both enjoyed our shakes very much. The service was so friendly and inviting. This was our first visit and will be on our places to visit every time we come down. We will try the ice cream before we fly out this Monday. So we will update this post after trying the ice cream.

So many flavors, so good! They were open late and I just happen to stumble upon this place and it was so good! I just got ice cream and the scoops were huge for cheap and so tasty. I recommend the dirty banana one. They also had a lot of smoothie and protein shake options. The employee was really funny and engaging with my friend and I.

Great ice cream! Simon is the best. Brightened up my day very so with a joyful spirit. Ordered the sandy shores, pistachio, and strawberry ice cream.

The Icecream flavor options were amazing! They had the simple and safe choices like cookies and cream, mint, vanilla, etc but that also had some fun unique flavors. They had banana Icecream with crunchies inside, raspberry cheesecake with graham crackers (that's what I got and it was so yummy), and many more. It's close from the beach and a perfect little stop for a sweet treat.

Fairly new on the Dunedin Causeway, this strip mall desert shop is a fun place to get a sweet treat. The employees always greet you with a smile. And they whip up your order in fast fashion. There are chairs and tables inside and out. They've done a good job transforming whatever was there before. I wish them well in this competitive business.

Good smoothie place! They have a nice variety, and the smoothies are thick and fresh. Nice atmosphere and it's clean inside. The only con is that the Pistachio smoothie tastes more like almond extract than pistachio.

We finally had a chance to check this new spot out and so glad we did! The owners are so friendly and welcoming. The setup is beautiful, love the blue floors! My daughter had a scoop of coffee ice cream on a cake cone that she said was delicious. I had the Green Gladiator smoothie & added some ginger -- OMG it was so good! We highly recommend and cannot wait to go back!

Conveniently close to the Honeymoon island. Great options, variety of flavors and styles from ice cream, smoothies and shakes! Great server, nice Oceanside decor. Definitely come in after long hot day at the beach!

My husband and I love this place! We try to get here at least once week. The ice cream is smooth and rich. The owner is a wonderful gal who works hard! The place is always clean!

I was looking for a place that had smoothies and found this one! They have a lot of vegan, GF, and DF options. They also have a ton of ice cream options. The lady that worked there was super nice. I got the sunset smoothie and used their vegan fruity pebbles protein powder, which was super yummy! I highly recommend this place!!

I'm from California and I'm very sad to say it is hard to find a good smoothie place in the area. I've been here a couple of different times and been blown away the smoothies are perfection my favorite is the Bluejay add spinach

If you are looking for healthy alternative snacks and drinks or just want some good ice cream while near the causeway this is your place. Every time I stop by for a smoothie or a protein waffle the ladies are wonderful! The choices of smoothies they have will satisfy anyone.

I don't post a lot of reviews, but every once in a while a place stands out for me. Stopped by Sunset Smoothies after a day out on honeymoon island with the wife and kids today. What a treat. The owner was very welcoming, always a blessing for us as we have 8 kids ranging from 22 to 3 . This usually causes looks of fear in the eyes of our hosts when we walk through the door. Not so here. Our host engaged with each one of our kids and we all got some of the tastiest ice cream we have ever had. The portions are very generous as well. My 17 year old daughter ordered a kiddie size because she wasn't sure she could eat a regular size. On the opposite side of the coin, my 3 year old son, who never finishes his ice cream for some odd reason, wolfed down his entire cup. All ordered ice cream save for my wife, who ordered a sunshine smoothie. Smoothies are not really my thing, but I had a taste and it was quite nice, it was very refreshing. For me, the best I save for last, the butter pecan ice cream. Butter pecan is my thing, favorite ice cream for me by a mile. The butter pecan here is possibly the creamiest, most flavorful butter pecan I have had in my 50+ years on this planet. If you are in the area, you should swing by and try Sunset Smoothies, I don't think you will be disappointed. Thank you Sunset Smoothies for a wonderful treat after our day at the beach.
