Wrongful death settlement (check Google)
We showed up today to do watersports, today is supposed to be windy while a cold front comes in. We arrived and went out to sea. Upon arrival at our activities, the crew informed us we'd have to leave due to weather/wind. We woke up early, drove here, parked, waited to board and finally take off, just to do absolutely nothing! We went straight out and came right back in. The crew was even complaining about why did we go out, we knew this would happen. The captain told me that the storm had approached 3 hours earlier than expected, so there was never any intention on giving us the full 6 hour day, just half and then keep our money, like many other reviews state. When we got back in they told us all to request a refund at the desk. Katie was extremely rude and was unapologetic. I requested a refund plus vouchers for us to come another time, as they wasted half a day of our Key West time with this. The manager was pretty unapologetic and said they can't control the weather they can't do anything but refund us. They wasted half a day of our Key West vacation because they wanted to try and sneak in a day not letting anyone know there was a potential for this. It's absurd to me that they wouldn't offer any sort of compensation for the massive inconvenience. I'd avoid this business at all costs, especially after now finding out about their negligence settlement (check Google).
Update : I never cussed at anyone or threatened, I was very civil, what a pathetic lie. I haven't harassed anyone, I called requested the voucher, was told no, informed you all I have to leave these reviews due to the inconvenience and you said it's within my rights. I have not called or messaged you all anytime since. In addition, our cancellation was yesterday, so it's impossible we've been "harassing for days". I proceeded to leave negative reviews. People considering this company, please consider this owners response and blatant lies regarding the situation. If you check other negative reviews he also lies and tries to attack the character of the reviewer. I've also had a great time in key west outside of this business and you can see on my profile that I have left 5 star reviews at the places we have enjoyed. We can easily be satisfied but after wasting 1/2 a day of our time, have horribly rude staff upon return, and offering no compensation to make things right (they did bare minimum by refunding us), this company has well earned their negative reviews. I'm not sure how anyone could support such awful business practices and such childish behavior. Stand behind your lack of communication, lack of checking the weather prior to departure, and lack of customer service and making it right. Quit lying to protect your fragile image.
