I recently had lunch with a friend at the Sunshine Dumpling House on Monkland Avenue in NDG, Montreal.
For starters we had the hot and sour soup, which was excellent, followed by spring rolls, and they were very good as well. We then ordered a mixture of different types of dumplings, some fried and some steamed. The fried dumplings were a bit more flavorful, perhaps because of their seared bottoms. The décor of this restaurant is a little dated, but the service was excellent. My impression was that this is a restaurant really trying to please its customers. It’s certainly worth a try if you’re ever visiting the Monkland Village in Montreal.
