This bar is completely atypical — you really have to know it exists to find it. It’s hidden behind a laundromat, and once you reach the back, there’s a door made of washing machine doors that leads you straight into the bar. The concept alone is already an experience. Inside, the vibe is vintage, fun, and very New York. There are arcade games, board games, and card games, which makes the atmosphere playful and relaxed. We grabbed a few beers and had such a great time. The staff was super friendly, and the whole place feels like one of those hidden gems NYC does so well — unexpected, original, and memorable. Definitely the kind of spot I love discovering here. A unique experience I’d happily do again.

We visited Sunshine Laundromat tonight and had so much fun!!! The pinball machines are fun and a dollar each, some give you plays for 25 cents. We didn’t get any drinks besides the $3 water bottle (which tasted like tap). I enjoyed the variety of board/card games that they had and spent the majority of the time playing those! As for the vibe, I’m not sure if it’s very welcoming. As a person of color, I felt like we were stared at a bit since the concept seems to attract a certain crowd, but overall, I would try to look over it and go again :)

Wow so much fun. Needed to kill three hours between the Zev Rovine more or less fair and dinner, and found this gem. My wife never played pinball so she was in for a surprise. We fell in love with the Jurassic Park game. It was the most fun and allowed for longer game play. She’s also obsessed with Jurassic Park the movie. We didn’t drink as we were in for a full day of wine events, but would be a great date spot to be honest if you need to set the night right. We walked out with smiles and the lady working there was very nice. Not pushy about anything.

If you’re looking for something unique and fun to do near the city— this is a great option! Such a cute concept and fun speakeasy. It’s a quaint bar located at the back of a functional laundromat with a good amount of pinball machines and drink selections. Always such a nice date night option! P.S.: you do need CASH for the pinball machines.

What an experience! We did laundry and had fun playing pinball! You need cash for both the laundromat and the pinball machine, but you can exchange it to coins there. They don’t serve food, but we were allowed to bring in whatever food we wanted. There’s a great pizza place across the street, which was very convenient. This place is a hidden gem, friendly and affordable! Highly recommended!

I've walked by and wanted to check out Sunshine Laundromat and Pinball for some time now. Finally went in this weekend. After walking through the active laundromat in front, the back wall has a door that resembles washing machines that opens to a small, dark bar. I was instantly hooked by the low key, no frills bar that I thoroughly enjoy. A fairly straightforward drink menu, mostly beer. Some fun pinball machines and an enormous amount of board games. There is a small outdoor area as well. The best part about all of this though is it's dog friendly. Looking forward to returning with my furry friend!

There is no pinball. (12/2023) Average experience, small laundromat, nice staff in the morning. A lot of the dryers were broken and it is 5 minutes for $0.25 (20min/$1). It's pretty clean inside.

I found this place on Yelp, and when I was the photos, I knew I had to make a visit to this place! This place is a laundromat on the front side and a pinball bar on the backside! They've got all kinds of pinball machines, ranging from the early 70s I think to more recent titles like Game of Thrones. Once your quarters have run out, you can also play board games which they have easily accessible. They have a decent selection of beer on tap and canned, whichever you prefer! This place is a bit small, so it can easily get packed. If you want to enjoy the games, I'd suggest coming here around 7PM or on weeknight to fully take advantage of all the pinball machines!

I had a show at the nearby Brooklyn Bazaar and after a quick slice of pizza at another location, took the suggestion of my friend about going to Sunrise Laundromat & Pinball as it was just around the corner from the club we were seeing a show at. My friend runs a pinball room upstate and is a diehard fan of the games and since I like them as well I wanted to check out this new place to my own wanderings. When you walk into Sunrise you are actually in a real laundromat with washers and dryers around you and some older machines for gaming that are unused and have become decorations. When you walk to the very rear of the space, there is a washing machine door (or is it) that leads you into a back room where there is a bar and about 25 pinball machines. It's really cool to be honest and while seeing this door at a distance will not let you think anything is behind there, once you are closer you can see through the glass that there is more than meets the eye going on behind it. Some of the notable pinball machines are Jurassic Park, Metallica, Ghostbusters, Game Of Thrones and Guardians Of The Galaxy. There was a machine marked for the Supreme brand but it was waiting on a repair so I couldn't see what it was all about. Almost all of the games are $1 each and you get three balls per game. My friend and I played Jurassic Park and enjoyed an ice cold beer from the bar. I would have played more games but we were unsure about the timing of the show at the Bazaar so finished that and moved along. I really enjoyed the brief stay and look forward to the next time I am around to pay them a visit.

Fantastic hidden arcade bar! This place is a fully functional laundromat + a wonderful pinball arcade! Quintessential Brooklyn... speakeasy by day, laundromat by night? So many hidden gems... like the vending machine, the pinball toilet lever, fortune telling monkey, bar boardgames, and the Supreme arcade machine... highly recommend! Easy to access from the G train and very unassuming exterior. One of my favs places thus far!

I like quirky stuff and I love pinball so Sunshine Laundromat & Pinball easily earns 4 stars in my book. Upon arrival I was a little disappointed that the door to the game room was just hanging open. I was under the impression that this was more of a "secret pinball lair" and didn't realize I would be watching people fold their undies while I played pinball. On the other hand, if you have to go to a laundromat to wash your clothes it would be awesome to enjoy a beer and play a few pinball games while you wait for your laundry. I only docked one star because while there is a decent selection of pinball machines, the games are all crammed into the room, making it difficult to play multiple players on a single machine. There is only one small area to sit and a few bar stools so I constantly felt like I was in the way of someone trying to pass by or play another machine. I didn't mind the occasional awkward game of musical chairs, but it was enough to make me glad that we visited earlier in the evening when they weren't packed.

Pinball Machines. Board Games. Jenga. Alcohol. WHAT ELSE COULD YOU NEED? Food. - well, there is none. Love the concept. A chill time.

While the laundromat smells appropriately clean and soapy, let's neglect that part of the business and walk right past the washers, dryers, and a few pinball machines out front. Right to the secret dryer speakeasy door in the back, and... TA DA!!! Brooklyn's worst kept, yet revered and treasured secret! The lights are low, the machines glow and the quarters flow (I know, not bad, right?) I love the range of machines, from electromechanical to super-modern technology hybrids. Some favorites are here: there's always a Star Trek game of some generation, an Elvira or two and the Adams Family. The back, under the skylight, gives you the surprisingly cool experience of "pinball under the stars" on a dozen or so machines. And one thing to note: quarters, not tokens that lock your money up until your next visit! Thank you.

Great place for a night out with friends after dinner or a fun date night activity. We came on a Friday night, and we had such a fun time. The laundromat in the front of the store is pretty tiny, but there was a good amount of people doing their laundry which made walking into the back a more exciting experience. Once you open the door, it's a pinball world. I forgot how much I enjoyed playing. They do have a bar inside if your looking to drink and play. *no liquor! All games are $1, so make sure to bring tons of quarters. If not, you can always exchange your cash at the coin machine they have inside. There is a variety of different types of people, people who you can tell who go there a lot, to the people who just went to check it out. Like we did! Definitely a place worth checking out, it's a pretty cool spot. I'll promise you , if you post it on Facebook or Instagram everyone will be asking where it is ;)

Super cool hangs with pinball peeps in top secret location behind dryer doors in the back!!! Pinball here is awesome. Good working order on all games, no games turned off. Nice mix of new games and some classics.

All the "hidden," "secret," and "disguised" elements have pretty much been covered quite well below. It is a beacon for a Pinball wizard; the environment is nice & mellow; the venue is q q q q cool. However, the crown jewel of this place is the fact that the laundromat upfront is *not* in fact a gimmick, nor is it serving a purpose only in relation to the scene in back. It's an actual, operating laundry place! Which is fantastic to have the back to not only enjoy whenever, but as a pretty great option for when you have some heavy rinse cycles to knock out. PLUS, the bar hours (til 4am on weekends; 2 or 4 weekdays, I believe?) apply to the laundromat as well, which makes it the only place in the area that I have found that stays open late! Back when I was on the LES in Manhattan, laundry seemed to be one of the very few stores/services that, across the board, rarely held hours later than 10 PM; perhaps 11 in a select, or rare spots (but that usually meant the "last wash" had to be in 45 mins before). Which is why the fact that this place is not only one of the v few businesses I've found with late (late!) laundromat hours, but with an atmosphere that makes it not only easier to get your loads in (at the absurd hour you left laundering 'til), but actually turns the Waiting into Hanging. So while you wait to fold, meet some friends, or have a frosty brew, or a frozen suja margie... (also! some foods are avails as well)... or find your inner Wizard... bc I seriously think they have every Pinball machine of all time covered. Plus, sucha-supple-wrist def couldn't hurt when it comes time to get back to the folding.

Cool wine/beer speakeasy arcade hidden behind a functioning laundromat. The laid back spot has a bunch of pinball machines and fun party games (e.g. Citizens of Humanity and game inspired by it like What Do You Meme? and Trumped Up). The bar offers a variety of beers, wine, and frose (which I enjoyed) as well as one food option (Roberta's pizza). Unfortunately, no cocktails. Overall, a chill spot to hang with friends over casual drinks and games.

Favorite speakeasy! I've been to over 15 speakeasies and this one still caught me by surprise. The bar is hidden behind a working laundromat. And there are dozens of pinball machines along the walls (75 cents or $1 each). How cool is that!!!? They have board games as well. My favorite is the Dirty Minds game hahaha. The booklets smell a little but after a few minutes, you won't even notice after the first round of laughs. Oh and to flush the toilet, use the pinball lever on the wall. It's nifty!

Guys, please update your website, socials, review platforms etc with accurate opening and closing hours...the door was open when I entered this evening at around 6:30pm. I placed my clothes in for a wash. Come back 30 mins later (7pm) and it's closed. Phone doesn't work. I didn't see the updated COVID hours sign on the entrance door, I was going off of what you currently have communicated online. It's not the hugest deal, but it's just disappointing considering how long I've been a patron...

3 instead of zero because it's fine as a laundry mat but it's not a bar at all. No beer and 2 working pinball machines......ok after a little more research, apparently there is a bar in the back, but it's not open like it says it is so I have no idea. 3 stars still stands

This speakeasy is the type of place that'll make you feel cool and retro, without feeling pretentious. At first, it seems like an unassuming laundromat--rows of washers and dryers lining the ways...but if you head to the back, you open a world of wonder and joy. The beers are plentiful and crafty...I had several ginger ciders that tasted heavenly...but the true star is the pinball. There's about 20 machines, and each game is a buck...so for $20 I was playing for a solid 2 hours. It felt better on my wallet than dropping $100 at Dave & Busters. It's a tad crowded during the busy times...but 3PM on a Saturday meant I wasn't waiting for drinks or games. Do yourself a favor, and check out this Brooklyn gem!

Brought my dirty laundry here. Left it because I got distracted by the pinball and beer! I had heard of the legendary Sunshine Laundromat and finally got to visit. Alas, I never saw it's original incarnation but the current one is so sweet! Machines are all in amazing condition and you will find some rarities on the floor including Big Bang Bar, Spider-Man Black, and AC/DC Back in Black. Peter the owner was really nice and there to fix issues on the spot and I had two amazing nights here on my last trip to NYC. Open pretty late and chill during the early hours on the weekdays so go any time you like! Can't wait to return and put up more of my initials! :)

Interesting speakeasy which is hidden in the back of a laundromat in Brooklyn. The laundromat is actually used by the locals and they did a good job disguising the door as a dryer. Inside there are various pinball machines and a bar with a limited selection of beers that are mainly bottles and cans. The pinball machines are well maintained and the selection is very up to date. The people running the place are friendly people. What I found very interesting was the pinball lever to flush the toilet, must have taken them a lot of work to custom design the lever. Overall an interesting place to play pinball, have a beer or do laundry.

Man this place was something so special . It is something special . It's such a nice experience . It's a dope speakeasy that has multi purpose S the laundromat isn't a front for the bar and pinball machines in the back . It's legit a laundromat which I love . You walk all the way to the back and there is a door and in the back is a bar and pinball machines . It's so chill and so much fun . The things I love is how they have old fashion games that you and your friends can play . You can chill at the bar and just chat which is what me and my friend did and just have a beer . I had the ginger cider I think beer which was 8 bucks and I liked it . it was soft and sweet . There aren't major foods here , I don't think there are foods here at all BUT you will not be disappointed . It's so much fun and just eat something before you come and chill or don't . Either way I had a ball and this place is special and a gem . It's intimate so it's not for a huge group of friends. So def check this place out . I will be back for sure .

This place is so fun! Walk all the way to the back to find the secret door. They have a good amount of beer choices and they even have cider on tap. Besides pinball machines, they also have board games. The pinball machines have cup holders to hold your beer as you play. It's a very tight narrow space so it's a little bit hard to navigate.

Second trip here and this recent visit has sobered me up a bit regarding my opinion of this place that I had to come back to, dragging my wife and two friends in the process. This place is incredibly novel, especially if you are from out of town, love pinball, or both. Many people have already talked about the entrance. No big deal. I think the wacky vending machine they have in the front is far more amusing. For about two dozen machines, this collection is among the best of its size in this type of venue in the world. Yes, world. They are very good about getting new machines in as they're released and have a great selection of indisputable classics. The night prior to my visit, Jack Danger, a preeminent player and streamer of pinball was playing at this very spot. Rating aside, if you consider yourself really into pinball, you have to visit this place. My average rating stems from a couple things. Many people have stated that the machines are well maintained, and they mostly are. I think the exception to this is that many of the machines I played seemed to have a lean to them. This resulted in being unable to trap the ball with one of the flippers and making it too easy to trap the ball with the other. Additionally, the music was loud enough where you couldn't hear a lot of the sound effects and music from the machines themselves. That's a key part of the experience in my opinion, especially when playing a machine like AC/DC. So yes, while they do serve alcohol and they do have board games (which went a long way placating my friends who were not so interested in pinball), there are better places to play. Probably even in New York City.

Omg! This place is perfect for little party or reunion just to hang out with friends and family and enjoy some good times, you can actually can bring your clothes and do laundry while having a drink and do some serious playing machine. I came here with some of my daughter school mates for a 10 year old party! We had a wonderful time definitely recommend this place to everyone who needs a place without the hassle of cleaning after.. just to point it out it's free on Sundays from 12-2iest you just need to pay for drinks and the pizza they will order for you from their local pizza guy. It's super convenient just need to planned in advance.. the lady contact name is Gina come in person and talk to her..

Nice hidden speakeasy pinball and laundry, Yes a reall laundry with washer and dryers, go the very back pull open the dryers that are really a door to a wonderful open space with plank tables with stools to sit at a small bar and a small vista of pinball games over a dozen machines from the Addams Family to Star Trek and Star Wars to a few machines custom made especially for SunshineL&P. There is also what seem to be an enclosed porch with a skylight for another half dozen underneath, I have beeen here a few times and never too crowded and a lot of fun

TL;DR: I never do laundry here. A bar disguised as a laundromat seems like something that's completely made up, only seen in cartoons and movies set in the 1980's. But, here we are. A bar disguised as a laundromat. With pinball. In real life. When you walk in, you're skeptical. Why are we in a laundromat? Oh sweet, they have pinball machines to play while you wait for your clothes to dry. Wait, but if that's the case, why is there no one doing their laundry? And then, you make it to the back, fling open that dryer door that has no business being placed where it is, and take the first step towards a fun-filled night of drinks, board games, and pinball. This place has a nice speakeasy feel to it and is incredibly inviting. Their drinks are pretty standard ($5 cans, $8 drafts). They also have $4 soju shots, as well as two frozen drinks ($10). I highly suggest getting the "Covfefe" (which is apparently a frozen margarita made with soju) that tastes exactly like a Minute Maid lemonade that you get at amusement parks and carnivals. There's about 20 pinball machines in the space that you get to play with, 75 cents each (change machine towards the back). I highly suggest playing the Ghostbusters pinball game. Also, PRO TIP: if you suck at pinball, the newer machines like Game of Thrones or Guardians of the Galaxy will give you a Ball Save if you die too early. And if you're all bad at pinball, there's also a stack of board games that you can play for free with your friends. As soon as I opened that suspicious dryer door in the back, without even taking a step inside, this bar meteorically rose to the top of the coolest bars that I've ever been to. I wish that they had arcade machines in addition to pinball, but maybe I'm asking for too much... I mean, a "secret", chill bar disguised as a laundromat is as already as good as it gets.

It's a good place to go relax after work and go play board games with a glass of wine. If you want heavy alcohol I suggest you go somewhere else. They only have Soju, Wine, draft Beer and sodas. Btw Albert was nice :D

This review is not for the pinball. I don't care about pinball. It's for the laundromat. I have been bringing my laundry here for five years when I could make time to do the wash myself. I wouldn't use Sunshine's wash-n-fold because it is obscenely overpriced. I used to get my wash-n-fold done over at Brooklynites over on McGuiness, but Brooklynites' service has taken a nosedive in the past year. Why am I giving Sunshine 5 stars? It is open until 2am. And that's amazing. The late hours mean that I can cram everything I have to do into my busy day without ever having to shaft anything in order to do laundry. That's right--I can go to work, go to the gym, meet friends, get home at 10 pm AND still wash and dry my laundry! Brooklynites closes at 10 pm. And most other neighborhood laundromats close early, forcing the customer to make time in their early evening or weekend to do the laundry. Sunshine is an absolute gem for staying open until 2. I've never used the speakeasy, but it makes for an interesting stream of people moving in and out. I feel safe doing laundry here late at night because I know that there will alway be people around. Remarkably, I have never had anything stolen. I'm also a fan of sweet Leo, the chocolate Labrador. The dog is a special touch. Too many places bar dogs now in order to please people with dog allergies, and I really miss the random pick-me-up from encounters with a friendly dog. Leo is the best. The staff is friendly, and were happy to trade me quarters when I brought in penny, nickel, and dime rolls from my spare change jar.

So you're probably asking yourself why did a guy from Miami go to a laundromat in the middle of Brooklyn? Pinball, of course! Doesn't everyone go to play pinball in a laundromat? No? Yeah, seems like a weird idea but this laundromat has some of the most rare and sought after pinball machines all in one place, it's a collector's dream just to come here. Unfortunately for me, they were re-doing things and the majority of the machines were folded up and stored on top of the dryers at the time, but it didn't matter because the whole idea of this place is too cool for less than a 5 star rating. Hopefully the construction will be done before my return visit.

This place was very cool and interesting, there was a special door you go through and bam! There is a bar, it was pretty cool, they have plenty of pinball machines. All the machines used quarters so if you have a piggy bank full of quarters I suggest you bring it. The bar only has beer and wine. A wide selection of beer but only 2 choices of wine. The beer ranges from regular beer to a full selection of IPA's. I would go again, but the only flaw is that it's a small places and it's hard to wall around with a party of 6. I suggest going with a small party, it will be easier to stick together.

Very cool concept! I loved opening the secret door and revealing the bright, colorful, bustling arcade within. It's like entering a completely different world. There are so many pinball machines to choose from, and they all seem fairly well maintained. Can't speak to the bar as my SO and I only stopped by to check out the pinball portion and not for drinks. It was a Friday night and got so crowded at one point that it became hard for us to move around the place. I'd definitely like to come back and check it out on an off night. Also, the vending machine out front is a genuine treasure.

I've always liked Sunshine and always will. Pros: Pinball machines are extremely well-maintained and rarely out of order. Staff and owner are very friendly. Drinks are reasonably priced. The venue is kept very clean and well-decorated, with an ample amount of seating for those who visit to play board games or socialize. There is a variety of board games available for play. Cons (this term seems inaccurate, so please consider it to mean something like "things to keep in mind"): Wine selection is limited, and there is no full bar, although I am usually satisfied with the selection on hand. The pinball games are 75 cents per play - there are no $2 for 3 game deals or 50 cent plays - they are all 75 cents. This isn't a deal-breaker to me, except it seems as if the games have become set to increasingly more difficult settings over the course of time. The games seem more fit for skilled competition than for leisurely enjoyment. I'm more likely to visit Sunshine when I'm feeling like an intense challenge, rather than to relax over a few drinks and a few challenging, but not intensely-challenging games. It can get extremely busy and crowded here on certain nights, namely the weekend (Fridays/Saturdays) or while there's pinball leagues going on, so be mindful that you may encounter a bit of chaos when you come here. This is no expert analysis, and I am in no way trying to trash talk the business. Part of the reason it becomes so busy here is that it's a well-liked and respected establishment. My standards are tailored specifically to my tastes. Please consider my review within the very subjective terms under which it was written!

After peeping some intriguing Instagram story shots from the interior of this spot, I knew I had to check it out for myself. It's such an ingenious idea - a full bar packed with pinball machines hidden behind the back door of a fully functioning laundromat. As a laundromat, it doesn't seem to be very special and there aren't very many machines, but it seems like at this point more people are visiting for the hidden pinball fun. On a Saturday night there were enough people to make it feel like a real bar, but not enough that you couldn't play any machine you wanted. In addition to pinball machines, which take up the vast majority of the space, they also have board games and a kitschy monkey fortune telling machine much like Zoltar, but with a monkey. For the concept alone, this place definitely gets five stars. Even better if you have laundry to do or a pinball addiction (or both)!

After spending a few super fun rainy afternoons here playing pinball with my son, we decided do his 6 year birthday party here. Peter and the staff were super helpful, genuine, and accommodating. They whipped up delicious pizzas for the 15 kids quickly and were great about making the open bar for the party easy and manageable. The pinball machines are in great condition and the atmosphere is really cool with the skylights in the back. Totally recommend bringing your kids here in the early afternoon and/or coming for a beer in the evening- I really enjoyed both experiences.

For a long time New York City has bred hundreds and hundreds of "secret spots" where only people who are in the know will go to. The Forbes Gallery was one, back when it had its collection of Faberge eggs. The Brooklyn Banks was one for skateboarders before it was destroyed. For pinballers, the best kept secret of New York is the Sunshine Laundromat in Greenpoint. This isn't just some Laundromat with a few junky random machines strewn about. The owner is an enthusiast who has curated in a selection of what are regarded as the best pinball machines of the early nineties. He also repairs them frequently so they are all in perfect shape. You will be hard pressed to find more pristine examples of these machines in New York City. The owner will rotate in pinball machines from his personal collection if a machine proves unpopular. This is a perfect date spot if you couple it with dinner at the Japanese restaurant across the street and your date isn't turned off by hanging out at a laundromat. I've been going here for a couple of years now but felt driven to write a review after having a particularly good time there that culminated in the owner giving us beverages and selling me the playfield from a FIre pinball machine. I heartily implore all curious young folks to check out Greenpoint's best secret hangout. As someone who travels out of a backpack most of the time finding a nice place to do laundry is important. This place has small to large laundry machines (~$3.50 for a small wash and dry) and various types of detergent (~$0.75) plus pinball and a bar (with AC) in the back. An excellent place to spend some time doing laundry (or if you just wanna play pinball).

Not commonly a beer drinker but that's their only option here (outside of the soju). So, hence the 4 stars. But other than that this place is INCREDIBLE. Dog friendly which is always a plus! And the pinball is a blast! Love this place.

Machines are priced on par or less than anywhere else plus they're about 20% larger (18 pounds vs 15 pounds; 35 pounds vs 30 pounds). They have new management with an amazing attitude. Doing laundry is now almost enjoyable. Equipment is better maintained and the entire facility is cleaner than it was with the old management. Attendants are very friendly and always happy to help. I was there near closing one night and couldn't help but notice every washer running but without other customers and without clothing--turns out it is a special sanitation cycle they run regularly! My only beef is they close at 9PM (a bit early for my schedule) but the woman working indicated they're negotiating extending hours starting this fall. The icing is a great new coffee shop next door--the guy with the really cool T-shirts even knows my name and remembers my favorite drink after only a few visits.

Laundry attendants are always polite, and they do a great job too! A lot of wash and fold services shrink your stuff, but these people are great! I also like to do my laundry occasionally just so I can sit in the bar and enjoy a beer.

Fun! And not too crowded! We met up with friends, had a few beers, split a pizza, and played lots and lots of pinball. The machines are well-maintained, the beers are good, the bartender is nice and engaging. I really thought this was going to be one of those things where the idea is better than the execution, but it totally works! We'll be back!

What an interesting joint. Walking in, you got a straight up laundromat, hot steam, machines, the sounds, everything. Maybe a pinball machine or two hanging out, but it is legit. Then go back to the door and there's a bar! With over 20 pinball machines. Bar is curated well with a good selection of craft brews (bottles and cans). They do tournaments on Wednesdays. Definitely a really interesting place to check out and check out your pinball skills.

This place is so fun! They have great pinball games, washing machines, a bar that has a tasty cider on tap and a vending machine that made me laugh. I only wish I lived in that neighborhood so I could stop by on a regular basis.

I love this goofy place. Every time I'm gathering up the laundry I know I'm going to have a good time, which cannot be said of any other laundromat in Brooklyn. Washers and dryers in the front, pinball party in the back and pinball machines available in both places. The bar area is very cool, they serve beer and wine only and they had one of my favorite beers (Greenpoint Milk and Honey) on tap! The last time I dropped in there was a pinball tournament going on which was pretty cool to watch. I also love that the owner's dog is here a lot, gives the place a homey neighborhood vibe. Only downsides: washers/dryers are a little pricier and I really wish they had a couple seats in the laundromat area (not always in the mood to hit up the bar). Definitely will keep coming back to play a little pinball while I wait for my spin cycles to wrap. If you have to do laundry I don't see why you would go anywhere else!

This is a great place but my debit card was charged twice after I went there about a week ago and I haven't been able to get ahold of anyone about it. I've tried calling, emailing, and messaging the Facebook page. Sunshine Laundromat & Pinball, if you respond to me and reimburse me, I'll gladly change this to a five-star review.

our German colleagues were in town and we decided to give them a taste of something a little more authentic than the usual touristy stuff they do when they visit. so, we brought them to a laundromat in Greenpoint. well, okay, it's a laundromat that has a really sweet bar once you go through a door in the back. great drink selection, some frozen ones available, and even some specials. $4 soju shots, anyone? it's a small space and was pretty packed. definitely caters to a fairly young/hipster crowd. people even had dogs there. the machines are in good condition. I think almost all of them cost 75 cents to play. I am not skilled enough to discern a real difference in pinball machines, so I just pick ones with themes I like - and Sunshine has those in spades. Iron Maiden, Metallica, AC/DC, Jurassic Park, Addams Family, TRON, Ghostbusters, and many more.
