Delicious Mexican food. I enjoyed the complimentary salsa bar. The boiled beef was one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten. Tender, juicy, and delicious. Excellent, attentive service. Very reasonable prices. Generous portions. I’m looking forward to trying their Sunday brunch.

This was our first time dining here and we had a great experience. Nayeli was so friendly and gave us amazing service. We really enjoyed the food and drinks!

Attentive, clean, reasonable and very accommodating... my sister's wedding was a hit! The hall was decorated beautifully!! The food was delicious! Especially the birria! If we need to throw another party, there is no doubt that this is the place we are booking again and again. The venue took care of the decorations and the serving, they did an excellent job! The staff was professional and friendly, high standards. All of our guests were having such a good time that we almost forgot the traditions and the staff would remind us and that showed us interest in keeping the partying going. I highly recommend that you book your next celebration here!!

The owner Jessica stopped by the new Will County Courthouse where I was working and handed me a menu a my first question was do you chiliquiles and she said of course so I said we'll be there tomorrow. Myself and 3 Co workers showed up and they grated us with a smile and great service. I've had alot of chiliquiles from alot of different places and I'd say it was in my top 3. Prices were good and they have tons of different types of salsa. I recommend 100%. Thank you

Amazing food!!! Everything is freshly made! You can taste the love in this food!!! The staff is so friendly! They defiantly make you feel like family! This is defiantly a hidden gem of joliet! Highly recommended!!! And they have a salsa bar! There's a pinapple salsa in there thats amazing!!!

I love this little restaurant. The flavors are authentic and the staff are welcoming and appreciative of your patronage. The salsa bar features the largest varieties of salsa I recall seeing. The tortillas are hot and handmade.

The breakfast buffet was huge I especially enjoyed the meatballs that had a hard boiled egg inside. Service was excellent and the coffee strong and flavorful. At $18.99 this was a good value.

In the area and decided to try. The outside does not look so great , very simple place and the inside has about 10 tables . Upon seating you are served with tortilla chips and get to choose your choice of salsa , there are many options. There was 3 of us , one order was of three tacos ala carte (pastor, steak and chicharron) which was rated an 8. Another order was the enfrijoladas, never heard of before but was very fresh and delicious, I was offered a sample. I had the quesobirria tacos , the meat was very tasty and consume was good. Glad we stopped in this place and will Definitely be back to try something else!

Great, authentic food! The coffee wasn't the traditional piloncillo sweetened cafe de olla, but it still had good hints of cinnamon. Portions were awesome and service was quick!

Vary busy place you should make a reservation. Food is okay not the authentic Mexican taste that I was expecting but okay.

Mexican breakfast? Yes please! Quiet and unassuming, this is the quintessential hidden gem. I had an appointment at the VA nearby and decided to stop for breakfast beforehand. Had a little trouble finding the front door and it was jammed so I thought maybe it was closed. A tug on the screen and I was in luck. It was quiet inside but it was a Tuesday, so. Service was quick and attentive, and the coffee AMAZING! Tasted of cinnamon added to a good hot cup of diner java, and the mug was so cool made me wish I had one in my cupboard. The chilaquiles were quite delicious, maybe could've used some shredded chicken to earn the extra star. I'd come back again, and bring friends.

Glad we stopped in for Saturday morning breakfast after attending a wedding in Joliet. Located just a few blocks from Harrah's Hotel & Casino, couldn't have been happier we did! Cute place where you can tell the owners take pride in their business. From the friendly and welcoming service, to the tasty Mexican coffee, and fresh and yummy chilaquiles with tender marinated carne asada. Would be a regular stop if we didn't live in Chicago!

The service was amazing and everyone was so friendly! The salsa bar was a very interesting feature and made the restaurant feel more welcoming. Probably one of the best al pastor tacos I will ever have and I will definitely be coming back!

I adore the salsas on their salsa bar!!! I had a hard time deciding what to get, but ended up getting skirt steak and eggs. I added some of the items on the salsa bar and it was absolutely delicious! They also give complimentary chips and little cups to get salsa at the salsa bar. One star off only because she forgot to give me my 10% Yelp check in discount.

We had an enjoyable brunch at Sunshine Mexican Café. The food was flavorful and the service friendly and skillful, and the room was sunny and nicely furnished. For medical reasons I avoid caffeine, and their decaf coffee was instant, but I have to say that it was the best instant coffee that I've ever encountered. If you're in the area, the Sunshine Mexican Cafe is worth a stop!

Highly disappointed. Taste was good, service is good. But i found a hair inside my taco and my family got food poison. I have to belive this was just a fluke. As they have so many good reviews. But unfortunately this was my experience

Food and service were delicious, freshly made tortillas. Staff was very attentive. Place was nice & clean.

Today was our first visit. We had wanted to go when they first opened, then the pandemic. This was our first opportunity to dine there. We had breakfast outside. The red salsa and green salsa that is brought out with chips is delicious. I had Huevos en Salsa. My son had Huevos con Chorizo. The red salsa was so good we were wanting to bring some home. The service was attentive. The only complaint I would have is not having a no sugar, or no artificially sweetened beverage. Unsweetened iced tea would have been great, or canned unsweetened sparkling water.

Delicious food. Wonderful hosting by this family owned restaurant. Modest interior, but came for the food. Only suggestion is to clean the menus. They were dirty, making a negative initial impression, but then the food was GREAT. I think that was the BEST GUACAMOLE I've ever had: EXTREMELY FRESH. We ordered it twice, and each time they made it 100% fresh. Will definitely come back.

I highly would recommend this hidden gem in Joliet. The food is SO fresh-everything. I had a Breakfast Burrito, 2 El Pastor tacos and some delicious homemade guacamole and it was too much food-saved half of it for tomorrow. And it was all fresh vegetables and meat. You can really tell the difference. Add to that that the family that owns and runs the business is super friendly. I'm a gringo but they speak fluent English so I feel welcomed and an important piece of their business. I highly recommend you find and try them out. Great people and great food-a winning combination.

The Resturant is above average on its cleanliness, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. The food is authentic Mexican food. I have enjoyed breakfast and lunch on several occasions I have yet to be disappointed. This is one of the best Mexican restaurants in the area.

It's a quaint diner. When we got in, we were welcomed immediately. The food was delicious, had a homemade style and the portions were enormous. Will be back!

We ordered the family Gordita meal. I was glad to see they offer these family meal plans. As for the Gorditas themselves they were delicious. Everything was extremely fresh. We also ordered churros which were absolutely amazing. It was the best I have ever had. I ordered my meal through Facebook messenger and just for my interaction with them I could tell they're very passionate about what they do and appreciate of your business. Please support local great business just like one! This is definitely my new favorite Mexican restaurant in the area!

A truly great Mexican restaurant with great prices and making great food during the pandemic. Nice roomy patio. Pombazo is a fabulous new dish, great tasting steak, flautas, salsas, fresh made corn tortillas, enchiladas, and Chile rellenos and the family meals are a must. Glad to have them here v

Went for breakfast. Wasn't sure what I wanted but I was starving. Owner was very nice and gave some good recommendations. I finally settled on a pambazo and it did not disappoint. Great food at a good price, we are definitely going back.

Great food, great place, great service. Jessy and Ruben are so nice, we got here after work and they gave us a table right away, the tortilla chips were crunchy and fresh, and the salsa selection is awesome. The menu has a lot of pictures , so you get an idea to make your order easier. My friend got bistecs a la mexicana with hand made tortillas. That was delicious , I got an asada burrito and the meat was on point. Big portions very good service and plenty of parking space. Overall a great experience. Definitely going back soon
