Google
I had a great experience at The Fun Noodle Bar! I placed a mobile order for the chicken and shrimp fried rice along with the house egg rolls, and everything was ready hot and fresh within 10 to 15 minutes. The fried rice was packed with flavor and had the perfect balance of tender chicken and juicy shrimp. The egg rolls were crispy, delicious, and made a great appetizer. The whole process was quick and convenient, and the food definitely didn’t disappoint. I’ll be ordering again soon!

We had avoided this place for a few years for a variety of reasons, but today we stopped in for lunch and were pleasantly surprised at the variety of items on the menu, the clean, pleasant atmosphere, attentive staff, very short wait for our food, which was really good! We had the pad thai, spring rolls and General Tso's. We will definitely be coming back and trying other things. I wish I'd taken a pivoting of the spring rolls. So nicely presented.

Google
These were the best Crab Ragoons that I have had, I think ever! Fresh and crispy outside and the perfect creamy filling. I forgot to take the picture once I started eating lol. I also had the Ramen Bowl with chicken, and that was very good. The noodles were a little thick for Ramen but nonetheless, they were still good and paired well all the fresh veggies and the broth. Next time, I will tell them to make it spicy to add a little more flavor to the broth. I would recommend this spot 😊

Google
The food lacked flavor, but the service was excellent. The staff was attentive and kind, which made the experience more pleasant overall.

Google
Great food nicely priced I’m gonna keep coming here every time I come to Abilene their potstickers are to DIE for

Jessica Bell

Google
We got the beef pot stickers as an appetizer, but I didn't get a picture. They were delicious!! We also got the beef chow mein, general tso's, and my two younger kids got popcorn chicken and waffle fries. Everything was so good and full of flavor. We will definitely be back.

Google
This is our second time to try the food here and we absolutely love it. The service is amazing, super friendly and professional. You just can’t go wrong with noodles and soups and sushi. Plus, the little drinks are really, really good with all the different flavors like strawberry watermelon.. ext.. clean place with great atmosphere. we live about 45 minutes away and look forward to coming here when we are in town. Thank you so much for all the great service and wonderful food.. 👍

Wanda Parker

Google
The food was fresh, the waitress was attentive, and the atmosphere was welcoming. Will definitely go back.

Yelp
For a table of 10, service was so fast and staff was sooo nice and attentive! Highly recommend the Garlic ramen but make it spicy! Soo delicious. The owner gave my 2 yr old son a balloon and he popped it right outside. She heard it and came out and gave us another without us asking. Visiting from out of town and we give it 5 stars!

Shannon B.

Yelp
Absolutely a must go when in Abilene. The freshly made noodles were out of this world in my Black Garlic Oil Ramen. I will be back!

Yelp
Are here twice on the way to and from Big Bend. The food was so good we came back for more. Highlights were definitely the ramen and the dumplings. The sushi and fried rice were also ok, but nothing special. The place was very clean and the staff very friendly and efficient on both of our visits. This place was going to open a location in my home town of Weatherford, unfortunately that did not come to fruition. We are definitely missing out!

Anthony D.

Yelp
It's completely valid to feel frustrated in that situation. If a place advertises being open until 9:30 PM, it's fair to expect service up until that time--especially if you arrive well before closing. Turning customers away at 8:45 PM, unless clearly stated (e.g. "last seating at 8:30"), gives the impression that they don't value your time or business. You're not wrong to expect better communication and hospitality.

Yelp
Visiting town for the day, and stopped in and had lunch lierslly all by myself in this nice, quaint, and clean eatery. Very quick and friendly service. Loved my pork fried bao. Slightly crisp and seared bottoms, with nice, fluffy and faintly sweet dough. The pork filling had a nice flavor and the dipping sauce was divine.. My fried beef sliced noodle dish came out steaming hot. Big portion. The noodles were amazing. Beef was juicy. The sauce could've used a little bit more flavoring, but I left satisfied.

Yelp
Upon entering the background music is really nice good atmosphere. We were seated immediately since it was only 2 of us. Our waitress was great but the other waitress wasn't very friendly. We order hot tea to drink, plus a Diet Pepsi and a beer. We also order potstickers (6) for an appetizer. My wife and I had the Hell Ramen. Food came out really quick with good flavor. Really good portions for the ramen. Over all a good experience. Nothing to rave about but I would eat here again.
google avatar

Jose P.

Yelp
It's a bit far away from the downtown area but this place has the best noodles I've had in a while! The Fried rice was on point and the Lo Mein noodles packed flavor in every bite. Definitely will come back for more! The ambience felt great with a good selection of music as well.
google avatar

Diep L.

Yelp
I ordered Pad Thai and crab rangoons through doordash. The order came quickly, and the food was hot! There was plenty of meat in the pad thai and the overall portions are large. The flavor was good but not the best pad thai i've had, but in Abilene I was pleasantly surprised!!
google avatar

Jaja K.

Yelp
The service was great and the food was spot on for flavors. I miss my Chinese food and when I saw the beef roll, I immediately wanted to try it and it was so delicious
google avatar

Michael S.

Yelp
Horrible, beautiful presentation. Bad execution on flavor. Expansing and not worth it. Service was alright just didn't taste good enough

Selena C.

Yelp
OMG, flavor and everything about this pad Thai was amazing. Would highly recommend. Will be back for more

Elmar J.

Yelp
Good, friendly and fast service, but food was "mah-mah, huh-huh" (so-so). Fried noodle dish had almost no vegetables and only a little meat. Would not order it again. May try a different restaurant next time.

Yelp
Was craving for soup for dinner and i found this place on yelp, near the hotel we stayed at. You get inside, nice, clean and great ambiance. Its nice that you can actually see them cooking from the kitchen. Hubs had the Hell Ramen and he loveddd it. He said it was spicy and really good. I loved my chicken noodle soup, i didnt wanna eat too much since we had heavy meal at lunch. So this was just perfect. It was homemade chicken noodle soup, the seasoning was just right. And i had some to-go since they serve pretty good size. My son had popcorn chicken and fries. This place was a great find. Highly recommended.

Yelp
This place has really gone downhill. When they opened they were great but now the food is sloppily prepared and skimpy. Its a hard pass for me now!

Raquel H.

Yelp
Not Fun On March 7, 2024, I went into Fun Noodle, it was raining and I was craving a hot steamy bowl of Pho or Ramen. We've been frequenting this restaurant since it opened and I recall food was different from when it first opened, different in that it was much better! I'm also familiar with the legal issues they beat, and the affects. Boy was I disappointed and dissatisfied. I ordered the Hell Ramen. First off ramen was just warm, not hot! It was not spicy as I had previously had and the broth tasted like dirty water! Just flavorless and I did not particularly like the wheat tasting noodles. I have traveled a bit and been exposed to many foods of many cultures. I am familiar with pho and ramen and understand it takes hours to prepare the broth with bones, vegetables, spices and herbs. So sad this restaurant has gone downhill like so many!!!
google avatar

Victoria S.

Yelp
The food is what I ordered and hot. Quick prep of my delivery order. Portion on the ramen was big. Was not a fan of the flavor. Sushi roll is 6 piece. It was okay, there are much better choices in Abilene. Prices are affordable. I wouldn't say I would go back, but thought I'd give them a try as I was craving good ramen, but I didn't care for it.

Yelp
We tried quite a few different things on the menu and loved everything! Will definitely be back! Our waiter was great with refills and picking up empty plates throughout our meal. We all really loved the artwork filling the restaurant as well & when it was time to leave they made sure my kids left with fortune cookies and cute little keychains!

Yelp
Fun Noodle Bar is a Pho place located on 27th across from Walmart in the old Skeets/Buns over Texas location. Atmosphere: This is a small cafe style restaurant with cozy seating arrangements and what appears to be a very clean environment. Well lit and not too noisy. 1 Star Service: Our waiter sat us and served us. He was very attentive and constantly made sure we had anything we needed. He explained a couple of menu items for us as well. 2 Stars Food: We started with the Egg Rolls (of course) and the Pot Stickers. The egg rolls were pretty typical. Tasted fine, but nothing out of the ordinary. The potstickers however, were fantastic. To be more specific, the sauce that comes with the potstickers was amazing!!! It is some combination of soy sauce and other ingredients and has a delicious savory flavor to it. I ended up trying to stretch it out for everything in my meal. The wife opted for the Roasted Noodle Soup with Shrimp and I chose the Beef Noodle Soup in Spicy Broth. Both were very good. It was hard to compare anything to that potsticker sauce though. 1.5 Stars Overall: 4.5 Stars. Food was good, service was good, and the atmosphere was bright and cheerful. Definitely will be back. I can not for the life of me, find my pictures I took. Sorry.

Yelp
Best Asian food in Abilene! This is a gem of a place able to meet gluten and allergy needs without losing flavor! Had chicken pad Thai! AMAZING 5 stars and then some! Egg rolls on point try this place you will not be disappointed! Can't wait to try more things! Little slice of heaven
google avatar

Alejandro E.

Yelp
Fun Noodle is fine. We spent $98 for four people. We order sushi, rice, and noodles. The noodles are not traditional; instead, they are more like spaghetti (thick and a little overcooked). I was not impressed, but for the sake of trying new places, it is okay. The employees are very attentive and friendly. I will return to this place to try something different; I give the benefit of the doubt this time.
google avatar

Yelp
I love going to Fun Noodle Bar! The staff is amazing and so is the food! Each of the different soups are great and unique. The Chasu buns are to die for! We got the dragon roll the other day and the sushi maker had fun with our platter. It was great! There isn't anything I've tried so far that I haven't enjoyed. It's a great place with a great atmosphere. You have GOT to try the chive pancakes. The are amazing!
google avatar

Yelp
Fun place with lost of different Asias choices ! Clean and friendly . Food is fresh but comes out fast !
google avatar

Jenna P.

Yelp
This food was amazing, it tasted like authentic ramen. The people are nice, I go at least 2 times whenever I come to Abilene. Probably the only complaint I'd say is that there's not one in San Antonio lol! :) (Try the Hell Ramen, that's what I get)
google avatar

Yelp
New to Abilene, this is their 5th day open. We came for lunch. Ordering was a bit slow, but they were busy. We started with the octopus balls and the pork and Chinese cabbage bao. Side note, Tommy never tries anything new, but we talked him into this. The pork bao was very good, but the octopus balls were the clear winner! Delicious, and even Tommy liked them! Next, spring rolls and a California roll. Spring rolls were delicious and the sushi was very good. Entree time. I'm not a fan of chicken fried rice, but Rachelle's really was good! I'm impressed. Tommy got roasted noodle ramen with shrimp. Loved it! He even liked the bok choy. I, of course, got the Hell Ramen. You could see the chili flakes and chili oil floating on top. I'm excited! Yes, it was pretty hot, but so good! This place is an absolute winner. We'll be back as soon as possible!
google avatar

Carol B.

Yelp
I love that Abilene finally has a ramen place! I've been going there for awhile now, and I just can't get enough of the spicy cucumbers and the hell ramen is so flavorful. They have such a variety and everything is so delicious . The service is awesome and so helpful as well.
google avatar

Chester S.

Yelp
Bland, flavor is weak, service is fast, no condiments at table, prices ok, would I repeat a visit here? Probably not
google avatar

Halle R.

Yelp
Love this place!!!! The service is good & the food comes out super fast. As well as being delicious!! We shared a bunch of stuff & we loved it all! It was my cousin's first time having sushi & ramen & she's hooked now!!! We had the pan fried bao with pork & cabbage, takoyaki, shrimp tempura roll, spicy salmon roll & tuna & avocado roll to start. Then we shared the pan fried sliced noodles with shrimp & my cousin had the tonkatsu ramen with chashu pork. We live an hour away but like to come to Abilene to shop & eat, & now this will be our new spot! I am SO HYPE THIS PLACE IS HERE!!! PLEASE GO TRY IT!!!!
google avatar

Jake L.

Yelp
Pretty solid place. The food is probably more of a three-star quality, but I am bumping it up due to lack of options in the area. We shared soup dumplings and I had the hell ramen, which was flavorful, but not that spicy. Good option if you are in the area
google avatar

Jessie N.

Yelp
Over all the food here is pretty good and clean, my bf ordered a stir fried beed noodle, i have black ramen noodle. We also ordered the steam dumpling and the dumpling with soup inside as appetizers. This place impressed me by the taste, its perfect, not too oily, not too salty like other Chinese restaurants. All the noodle and dumplings are fresh and handmade from the kitchen. Definitely come back to try more dishes
google avatar

Jeff B.

Yelp
Wow, why are you not here yet. I think I just saw the Mayor getting his fill. There's Mr. Franks, the Johnsons. OH! There goes the ...... dang i can't keep up. Half of Abilene is here right now. You will not be disappointed! Well, if you're a negative person then you might. Food is great, truly enjoyed. Sure. Sure. Sure.
google avatar

Zoe M.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised! Excellent, attentive service along with great prices for the food. It's a clean, casual establishment with cute decor. Probably the best philly roll that I've found here in Abilene! The egg rolls came out hot and fresh. Fun Noodle Bar deserved 5 stars with the service they provided. We'll be back!
google avatar

Michael S.

Yelp
Food is good and hot and fresh. Beef Noodles, Black Ramen, Noodle California Roll, and Pan Fried Rice Noodles are some of my favorite staff and are nice and helpful.
google avatar

Katie R.

Yelp
Stopped by for lunch and we were very impressed! They seem to specialize in ramen and dumplings, which both looked great, however we decided to get other items that we were craving. The restaurant is pretty nice on the inside and service is very quick! They don't really have a drink menu but they have sake, bottled beer, and some bottled wines. My boyfriend loved his sushi and my pad Thai was probably the best I've had in ages. So much flavor and it wasn't dry at all. Could use some spice, I didn't think to ask if that had a pepper sauce to add to it, I will next time. Their pad Thai is loaded with a ton of veggies and I'm not into that so I did just green pepper and they really loaded it up lol I had to scoot some of the peppers to the side of my plate which is totally fine. I'll definitely be ordering this again! The egg and beef were very flavorful in it as well. Can't wait to come back!
google avatar

Laura M.

Yelp
Loved this place, we were too excited and got too much food but it was worth it. There are some items you usually find at dim sum places (shuimai) and also potstickers, bao buns, SOUP dumplings! The chashu was new to me and oh my was it amazing! Was worried it would be fatty because it's pork but it was crispy and not too fatty at all. The fried rice it came with was excellent but I was disappointed that we didn't get it on the bao buns! Husband wanted the rice. The bok choy it came with was a bit overcooked. The sushi was great, loved the salmon avocado and sweet potato rolls. Everything was really pretty well priced I thought. Ended up $50 for 5 of us, but we really got too much food, could have done with probably just $40. Only 4 stars because I thought everything was overly greasy, the beef tasted a lot like just ground beef and resulted in quite a bit of grease inside the buns and potstickers. Also I would have liked some chili oil on the tables, the waitress was so quick I never got to ask her for it and she never really asked how we were doing. I'm looking forward to going back to try the shrimp dumplings! And not so much beef next time.
google avatar

Melanie R.

Yelp
While on a recent visit to Abilene, my coworker and I chose to try this place based on positive reviews. Unfortunately, our experience was lacking. The gyoza we ordered was a strange color (see picture) and was very dry. We couldn't eat it. The ramen wasn't bad, but the pork was very bland and the noodles were very thick and doughy... not my preference. Service was pretty good but I don't think I'd try this place again based on the quality and taste of the food.
google avatar

Patti W.

Yelp
I ordered Pan Fried Noodles. After all, this is a noodle bar, is it not? I was expecting some nice thick charred noodles, with equally charred veg and some version of yummy brown sauce. Maybe a little spicy kick, but I hoped not too much. What I got was a SMALL delivery dish of brown glop that was so strong with garlic it would have kept Dracula at bay from 100 miles. No joke, the noodles were thick alright (good), and mostly stuck together in a glob I had to pull apart with some effort (bad). There were a few pieces of scraggly looking meat in there, at least I could tell the shrimps apart from the other meat. And the veg was all bean sprouts with a few slices of onion. As I said, it was a small portion. For the reviews saying they got plenty of food, even leftovers, this was not the case today. I also ordered egg rolls. Beef. The upside is I received three, not just two. Sadly, they were cold and quite oily. When something deep fried is oily, it is because it was fried in oil that wasn't up to temperature. These were a complete miss. The delivery service (Door Dash) was timely, friendly, and very courteous. No complaints for them. Fun Noodle Bar, however, was a complete disappointment on my first order. I dare say, with as much money as I spent on just the food, as bad as it was I see no reason to go back to it.
google avatar

Jenn B.

Yelp
Wonderful food. Fun interior. Clean bathrooms!Watched the cooks make noddles from scratch. We had the soup dumplings, black garlic ramen, hell ramen and Philly roll. Philly roll had too much cream cheese for my taste. Free broth refills on the ramen.
google avatar

Zack Z.

Yelp
Went I first was in the restaurant the cashier was really polite. The waiter was the same too I had a popcorn chicken with a spicy volcano roll and a beef noodle soup. After the food came it smelled delicious. It was even better when I ate it. Over all I give this store a 5 stars.
google avatar

Isabella G.

Yelp
i'm from out of town and went there last night with my boyfriend. the food itself was so delicious everything was cooked fresh and packed with flavor. i definitely recommend the chow mein. it was for me the best i've ever had. not to mention the prices are WORTH IT but it's not expensive to begin with. the ambiance is very welcoming, the decor is so fun and modern. you can watch them cook the noodles for you. the service was great even with all tables full. i had a great time and would there every day of this trip lol!
google avatar

Kim M.

Yelp
It's a pleasant restaurant. Prices appear to be on the high side. Dinner to go for 6 people, including 2 youths, was over $100, incl. tip. Will watch that next time. Personal and attentive service.
google avatar

Miranda B.

Yelp
I ordered pad thai. Unfortunately, that's not what I received. The dish itself was ok, just not close to a traditional dish. Green bell pepper??
google avatar

Earline C.

Yelp
Food was good enough. The staff clean tables with a cleaning product that smells to high heaven. It is a complete put off.
google avatar

Jon S.

Yelp
Really interesting fusion take on Asian cuisine. The pad Thai was tasty, the crab rangoons were great (no crab tho), the egg rolls are fantastic. The biggest hit for me is the chashu buns which are wonderfully set off by the hoisin sauce (pro tip is to hit them with some sriracha).
google avatar

Diana F.

Yelp
It was great!! Thoroughly enjoyed the service, and the food was great! I highly recommend their appetizers, so go hungry!
google avatar

Hank H.

Yelp
It took so long for them to serve the food. The soup taste bland and i hate the fly keep flying at our food!!
google avatar

Mezly L.

Yelp
This was my second time here, it was absolutely delicious! Everything was fresh and came out in a short time. The staff is wonderful and clean atmosphere. The sushi here is awesome! I will definitely be returning! I do recommend this place!
google avatar

Raquel H.

Yelp
We tried this new place out and I would highly recommend! The food was delicious and service was fast! Will be returning!!

Rebecca E.

Yelp
Everything I've gotten from here is GOOD, just not for the price you pay. Nothing I've had from there made me just say "WOW, that's good"
google avatar

Charlene G.

Yelp
I give this place a 4 out of 5. Food is good! But I feel the dining room is really crowded. I really wished they had a bar top lining one of the walls for solo eaters. I ordered the Takoyaki which are octopus balls. These are my go-to every time I try a new restaurant and I was very satisfied! The octopus was the perfect size and ratio inside for each octopus ball, which I'm very impressed with. It was warm and fluffy and made me feel nostalgic! I also ordered the Tonkatsu Ramen which is a pork broth base soup. Obviously the noodles tasted fresh and was cooked to a perfect al dente. The broth was a bit salty for my taste but the pork flavor was there. I could tell the broth was home made due to the little pieces of fat floating on top which adds to the goodness of great ramen! I also ordered this to-go and my order was ready within 10-15 mins and it was still fresh by the time I got home to eat. I would've have eaten there but the place is so busy still. I'm excited for this new restaurant in Abilene! I definitely will be going back to try the soup dumplings next! (Tried to order it to go, but this item wasn't eligible for it ‍) Didn't take pictures bc I was starving and inhaled my food. But next time I will!
