"Travel your Taste Buds around Thailand’s Regions With migrants from all parts of Thailand flocking to Bangkok for work, there are plenty of homesick cravings to be catered for. Thai cuisine varies widely around the country from the hot, spicy salads of the northeastern Isaan region so the curries and Muslim-influenced dishes of the south. A fine place to sample a range of regional specialties in a stylish setting is Supanniga Eating Room on Thong Lor. There’s a strong Isaan influence on the menu, but the food also encompasses often hard-to-find dishes from the eastern Trat Province, from where the owner’s grandmother comes such as kung phad sator (prawns fried with stink beans). Southern food is also well represented on Thong Lor at Khua Kling Pak Sod, which does a particularly mean yellow curry with fish. By Maeve Nolan"

"Some Like It Hot For authentic Thai food in a lively but stylish setting, it is hard to go wrong with Supanniga Eating Room. Drawing on the culinary heritage of two Thai regions (Trat and Issan), the restaurant has earned a deservedly formidable reputation. Standout dishes include the nam prik khai pu (crab meat with chili paste) and the yam pla salid tod krob (deep fried leaf fish spicy salad). Photo by Larry/Flickr ."

Tried the much-talked-about Supanniga Eating Room at Thonglor and left with mixed feelings. We ordered the Moo Chamuang and Crab Meat Pad Thai. The Moo Chamuang was the highlight—tender pork in a rich, slightly sweet and tangy sauce. It wasn’t spicy, but the flavors were layered and comforting. The Crab Pad Thai, on the other hand, was quite average. The noodles and sauce didn’t stand out, but the generous chunks of crab meat were a definite plus. The vibe here is relaxed and modern, though the air conditioning was a bit too strong at night—it got quite cold. The place seems to cater heavily to tourists; lots of foreigners around, which made it feel slightly overhyped for what it delivered. That said, service was excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive, and spoke English well—very helpful for visitors unfamiliar with Thai menus. A decent spot if you’re in the area, but not sure it fully lives up to the buzz.

Nice touristy place to go near BTS. Food is a little over priced for the size and the authenticity was definitely lacking. Staff were helpful but English for sure needs improving. We tried several dishes and all were good, nothing amazing and nothing horrible. The house special steamed cabbage was very interesting…I didn’t get the hype…it was good but not good enough to be so famous for. Overall 3.5 stars. If you are looking for clean place with toned down flavors to accommodate those people not ready for authentic Thai food this is a good option.

Had this place saved because of the Michelin Guide mention. Finally dropped by. It was alright. The place was loud. Tourist-heavy crowd and the air con was blasting. Ended up eating half-covered. Not the most comfortable experience. Service was decent. Quick and responsive but nothing memorable. Just standard. I had the pork stew. Flavour was solid. Good spice and richness. But the meat wasn’t consistent. Some pieces were tender, others felt a bit under. Not a dealbreaker but not great either. Pad Thai was flat. Safe and forgettable. Lighting was too harsh and the seating felt crammed. The whole thing felt more rushed than thoughtful. It’s not a bad place. But not something I’d strongly recommend either. If you happen to be in the area, it’s fine to try once. I won’t be going back. This place atmosphere made me feel so uncomfortable I just wanted to leave , call it energy , but I am just not happy here period 55 dollars for pad Thai and stew

Service was very good! Win and Cherry had to service both level 1 and 2 but they were constantly smiling, courteous and quite attentive. Food was good, a little pricey for local pricing but worth it. 7 of us, we had 2 bottles of sparkling, 2 bottles of red, a jug of sangria and a few other beverages. We had a total of 15-18 dishes. Total cost was about THB13,000 It was a little warm with a full restaurant and warm lights a little low and too close. It would have been perfect if the aircon was stronger to support the whole restaurant. Overall, worth going. I’ll recommend for revisit too!

This is a bit of disappointment as we were expecting much better food given the Michelin recommendation and the high ratings. The crab rice was the highlight, but everything else was just average. The total cost was over 3,200 baht for lunch, so it doesn’t make much sense to dine here from a value point of view given the mediocre dishes.

Satisfactory, quality food despite being very touristy. The spice level is definitely catered to people with lower spice tolerance. I can’t believe my favourite here is the popular stir-fried cabbage. We even ordered a second plate of that. How can a simple veggie dish be the most memorable one for a carnivore like me 🤗 Second floor is quite hot, I was proper sweatingggg.

Had dinner at Supanniga Eating Room by Khun Yai in Bangkok and really enjoyed it. The food was very tasty and full of bold flavours. It’s definitely on the pricier side for Thai food but the quality and presentation make up for it. The vibe is cool and modern with a relaxed feel, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout our meal. Must have: The chicken wings. Crispy, flavourful and cooked perfectly. Easily the standout dish. A great spot if you’re after elevated Thai food in a stylish setting.

The food was nice but not spectacular. Cabbage was good as I could taste a hint of wok hei and was crunchy. Fried sea bass was also nicely fried, crispy on the outside, and succulent on the inside. Pad Thai is questionable. Can skip. Service was prompt and friendly.
