Super Duper Burgers

Super Duper serves up delicious burgers. I opted for the mini burgers to try two different kinds and they weren’t all that mini; by European standards, they’re full-sized. I was especially surprised by how good the vegan option was. The fries were just okay, but the service was fast and efficient.

It's OK but I expected more based on the reviews. Burgers were dripping with fat and garlic fries had some rubbery cheese substitude one them. Ironically you have an option to leave out the parsley (which had no taste, it's just for looks) but not to leave out the cheese. Taste of the burgers was good though, that's what matters. Only one restroom in total makes for waits.

Do you like a good burger? Do you want to start questioning why you haven’t been covering your fries with garlic your whole life? Well this is the place. The burgers are absolutely delicious, but the garlic fries are an absolute must! (pretty heavy but fantastic) I would personally recommend to get double lettuce and double tomato! Oh… and pickles are up for grabbing like if they were any common sauce!

May 2025 US burger joint in trendy Chestnut St Marina area. Good and sizeable portions of flavourful meats. Think mini burger with a reg sized patty 😃 All meat patties are grilled to standards with good spicing. Particularly like the free pickle station. Modern stylized diner with toilets. Very ideal for quick eats and small groups.

This was lowkey the juiciest burger I have had in my life, it was so good. Also there is a free pickle station, so feel free to grab as many pickles as you need as this is a judgement free zone. Also the shake was not too sweet and the garlic fries were nice. I love America

It's been too long since I had a good burger. A real burger, because fast food burgers don't count. I perused the menu and settled on the Super Burger and Garlic Fries, I was torn between the garlic and jalapeno cheddar fries. Anyhow, the burger is a mouthful of beefy goodness and fresh toppings. I barely finished it there was so much food! The garlic fries weren't crunchy like I prefer, more of the soft variety, but I guess I know to specify my preference next time. The garlic is prevalent and fresh, do not talk to anyone after watching ng them. Go directly to the nearest bathroom and brush your entire mouth out throughly! Spent $17 total with no drink and the combo with drink was $19 pretax. It's typical pricing for the Marina district but this could have been lunch and dinner so the price isn't too bad. Doe reference, there is a Mexican spot down the street selling $5 tacos, so a $10 double burger is a deal!😂🤣

We’ve been going around town for a week now, trying out various burger places. This is by far the best burger place, very friendly staff, very clean, delicious food and the friendliest owner. Defo 10/10 recommended!

A proper beef burger done right at a reasonable price with a comfortable atmosphere. Simply fantastic! Delicious, freshly smashed burgers. Selection of extra free and chargeable toppings. The super burger with cheese was well worth the $13. It costs 70% more than a double-double from In-N-Out, but it's more than double the satisfaction. Highly recommended, worth a stroll and a detour if you're in the area looking for a decent burger.

We were looking to decrease red meat in our diet. Came across the grilled chicken sandwich with chipotle mayo, LTO, add Jack Cheese! We don't even crave the burger anymore & instead want the chicken sandwich. The ciabatta bun is amazing. The chicken breast has a marinade or rub on it that tastes amazing. We get the chipotle mayo on the side & then dress it up once it gets here. If a chicken sandwich can get us off burgers, believe that it is delicious & better than any other chicken sandwich we've had in the city! P.S. Forgot to add how tender the chicken is. It would be delicious on its own added to a salad or tray of homemade nachos. Hmm...

Best burger joint ever. Period. We've been going to Super Duper Burgers for probably 9-10 years now (yes, this review is way overdue), and it never disappoints. Sure, every once in a while, we'll try something new on the menu, but for the most part, a simple mini burger with cheddar cheese and grilled onions _ we'll sometimes throw some avocado and/or an egg on there _ will be the most perfect, delicious, satisfying cheat meal. Somehow, the burgers are always perfect: the meat is cooked right, the cheese is melting, the bread is amazing, and the veggies are fresh. When we're feeling extra hungry, we'll also order fries, which are as perfect as the burgers _ I like the garlic fries, with shredded cheese on top. Also, big shout-out to this location in particular: This is definitely our favorite spot! First of, we've taken every single family member and friend who has visited us from Europe here, and we have so many great memories with loved ones that this location will always hold a special place in our hearts. Secondly, not only is it in a cool district with lots of life, but the manager here is the most dedicated manager I've ever seen. Every time we eat there, and if he happens to be around, we'll see him run left and right to make sure every single client is happy and enjoying their food. And in case you're wondering: no, I do not know him personally, I just think he deserves special recognition. Lastly, I know the food is incredible, but if you're into deserts, try to keep some room for a delicious Strauss milkshake! The current summer one is strawberry shortcake, and it is to die for.

Came here after a late night, and wasn't expecting much but the food and service exceeded my expectations! I am a fiend for ciabatta bread and having the option to replace your bun is great. Additionally, I enjoy somewhat simple burgers and they do a fantastic job at balancing a simple burger. The garlic fries also hit, so garlicky and lots of cheese, really really strong savory flavor. The manager did a great job of checking in and even handled a unruly customer very well. To finish out our meal, we got a Strawberry Shortcake shake, and it was to die for, absolutely delicious, they should make it a permanent item. That was surprisingly my first time trying Super Duper and I really like their offerings

Wow. Super Duper Burgers is incredible. Not only are their burger super but so are their fries, shakes and service. The guys in the kitchens and behind the counter were rockin and rolling, making sure everything came out super fresh and super fast. What blows my mind is their commitment to quality. Their burgers are "organic, locally-sourced, humanely raised, never frozen, always made fresh from scratch everyday." All of their beef comes from Brand Farms, a family-owned ranch where the cows are humanely-raised and 100% vegetarian-fed. It doesn't stop there.. their shakes and soft-serve ice cream are made from premium dairy from the first 100% certified organic creamery in the country, Straus Family Creamery. They are only located in and around the Bay Area but I'm hoping they one day open up a location in New York or the east coast! Can't wait to have em again.

Came closer to closing and received a more than salty but still edible burger. So note to self: don't come when it's about to close soon or you will get questionable quality. Will be back during the day. Friendly service and love the pickles as always ! Thanks

All super Duper locations are consistent with friendly workers and the Marina district is no different. Last time I had the meal with kids vanilla shake, mini burger and garlic fries! This time I came in for their STRAUS ORGANIC SOFT SERVE swirl with half vanilla and half chocolate. And it was perfect to end this Saturday brunch over this Labor Day weekend, had a leisurely walk around Crissy field to Presidio tops park and ended my journey at Super duper with a cool dessert and hopped on the muni bus home! All and all a great day out in the Marina District!

For some odd reason, when discussing some of the best places to get a burger in SF, Super Duper always seems to be slip my mind. But anytime it's suggested by someone we should go here, I'll be the first to answer yes. I've been here more times than I can count, but figured I'd finally leave a review. If you're looking a solid burger with great prices, look no further. They do have the mini burger but the double patty (of course with fries & drink) is the way to go. Don't forget to add on the free Jalapeño peppers and grilled onions. Grab some complimentary pickles on the side while you wait. Chase your meal with an ice cream afterwards and you'll be walking out the joint with a smile on your face. The restaurant is well kept and clean and the customer service is ALWAYS friendly and attentive.

We love super duper and their seasonal menu when we want to switch it up! Our recent obsession is the bacon Gouda burger!! It's perfect. Love the pickles and ketchup with garlic fries! This location is clean and so so friendly! Pick up is quick and easy here

My boyfriend and I stopped by here to eat before going to the Palace of Fine Arts. We were a little taken aback when we had ordered on the tablet at the front and it asked us for a tip like?? one we weren't greeted or have talked to someone who works there nor gotten our food yet and a machine asked us for tip? lol. We got two burgers, fries, and the chocolate banana milkshake, which was all pretty good. Milkshake is kinda overpriced i feel like, it was $7. They should have a combo or something because you have to buy everything separately like you even have to pay 75 cents almost a dollar for cheese.

So consistent and great quality for a reasonable price. Always like to try the seasonal specials. Don't miss out on the self serve pickles!

meh, it's a burger place, The burgers are decent in size, great taste, not super greasy, fries were plain and got hard quick. I had an "Arnold palmer" that tasted weird, Service was pretty quick. Ambiance was ok, like a Diner set up, night time is kind of hectic. I give this place a modest 6 out of 10

We ordered: - Super Duper Burger w/ Swiss Cheese - Garlic Fries - Strawberry Milkshake - Chicken Sandwich with added egg - Coca Cola (S/O to Brotha Jared and I'll explain why) I remember a couple of years ago doing a door dash delivery order from this place and the smell of the garlic fries stuck with me. It's was almost meant to be when the original place down the street from us were closed so I looked up a burger joint near us and BOOM there goes Super Duper Burgers! I was also so excited about how they didn't close until 11 Friday night! Anywho, walking into the restaurant almost all of the seats were taken except the small tables nearest the windows and door so we decided to sit there. The workers were super energetic and kind. They greeted us immediately and the aroma of the place was so warm compared to the chili night it was. I also loved that the place wasn't trashed, the workers ensure the floors, tables and countertops are clean. You also get a great sight of the cooks cooking your food as well, it's very open! The restaurant felt like an old school yet modern diner as the food were served on a platter. Overall a great vibe! The super duper burger tasted just like how I imagined it .... So damn good! I'm an onion girly so I'd definitely get some extra onions next time! The meat wasn't over cooked at all, it was super juicy and the melted cheese was very cheesy ahhhh so good! The garlic fries was definitely the star of the show which paired greatly with the strawberry milkshake! I also love the tangy taste of the mustard and ketchup as well, my friend didn't like it too much but of course everyone has their own opinion. I loves that the pickles are self served as well which by the way we're delicious! My friend ordered the chicken sandwich with added egg and she absolutely loved it. She mentioned she hasn't had Super Duper before but she's now going to become a regular after that first bite! The strawberry milkshake was sooooooo yummy! You can taste the fresh strawberries and if you like dipping fries into your shakes .... Dip them garlic fries in here heheheehe! So yummy ! I wanted to shout out brotha Jared for being so kind and checking in on us every now and then. He was present and anything we asked for there were no hesitations. Not only was he giving us the attentions customer needed he managed to do the same for everyone else in the restaurant which in my opinion is a super hard thing to do without a notebook. He managed to take care of all of his customers and well! There wasn't a table that was not cleaned up after each customer. When I say he was on his toes, I mean it. Very very attentive. Thank you Jared and team for making our experience amazing! Parking can be a real pain during the day, afternoon and evening times but around the times we went there was plenty of parking. Please if you're craving a burger and some bomb garlic fries, consider this place on your try list. I hope your experience is just as good as ours but again you'd have to try it in your own. Me and my friend? Yeah we're coming back So good! (I got hooked at the Giants Game)!

They do not answer the phone. I had a big order and needed confirmation that it was received for a later pickup time. It was around the time they had just opened as well. Do not even try to call.

Yummy!! The burgers were actually very tasty and juicy. The fries are the exact type of fries I love. The milkshake was a perfect thickness and always a great combo with burgers. The food came out super quickly as well. This is a great spot if you are looking for a quick burger.

The food here is very good and is one of the better burger spots in SF in my opinion. However, they never answer the phone! There is no option to make your burger well done on DoorDash, and because they never answer the phone I can't ask them for well done. It is quite frustrating.

In the northeast, if you want a quick burger that's a step above the average fast food chain, your only real option is Five Guys. So, maybe I'm biased here, but Super Duper Burgers is fantastic. The service is quick, the employees are friendly, and the burgers are juicy and delicious. The restaurant itself is very clean and bright. The self-order kiosks are also a huge plus!

Wanted to eat burgers after taking photos at the Palace of fine arts. Yelped lead me here. I'm so glad we chose this place because the burgers, fries and dips are delicious. I have the secret menu burger and it was humongous. I couldn't finish it but it was so yummy. The dip for the fries and burge was tasteful. The location is pretty busy and parking is a bit hard to find. Parked 2 blocks away and we ordered online. Right when arrived our order was ready. Inside is pretty small but you can eat inside.

Grease-laden, mushy, soggy burger and fries. I've eaten at the Market st location which is always excellent, and always preferred it, but now live in the Marina and have to settle for this one...but not any more. The burgers fell apart in my hands, the fries look boiled, not fried...everything limp, soggy and greasy. Ugh...so much for a special treat of fast food.

Simply put: fast and delicious with great customer service Tried the Mini Burger, one of their options from the secret menu, a tray of garlic fries, and a chocolate shake. Everything was ready within 5 minutes! Both burgers were juicy and very flavorful without needing any additional sauces or anything else; the fries are fresh and tasty (strong garlic flavor); and the chocolate shake was delicious and thick!! Fleet Week Sunday, so yea they were busy. 1st parking was bad, but my order was placed via DoorDash so it was ready by the time of my arrival. FYI: DoorDash is currently running a Happy Hour promotion between 2pm & 5pm, of 40% off up to $10 off, via select merchants, and minimum purchase price varies. This offer includes pickup orders. That said, after a breakfast of Yogurt and Blue Berries, and a PreLunch of Mac & Cheese that I had in the fridge, it was an option of ordering or cooking, you can guess from this posting which one won out. My order, 2 Super Duper Burgers with extra Tomato and Lettuce. If I had been eating there I'd have added Cheese, but given I was heading home there was no need to include it. As for the pickup, the person dispatching was stressed, and a bit short with customers, not a game breaker for me yet it could be for others. Upon returning home my bag yielded 2 Yummy Burgers, with my addition being some Cheese from the Fridge. So would I return Yes, I don't like cooking meat, or planning to buy buns or the various Burger additions like tomato or lettuce so Super Duper was a great meal option Today.

Melty blue cheese burgers This is what I think about when I think of a good burger... as a sauce girly I love that they offer a three sauce flight and are very generous with their portions. I was perfectly satisfied with a mini burger and looooooved the yummy little pickles they had in a self serve jar. Food came out super duper fast and the table seating outside was clean and shady :) favorite spot to get a casual lunch in the marina

We are big fans of Super Dupers and of all the SF locations we tend to pop on here for late afternoon or early PM super burgers when we have a hankering for a properly prepared double medium rare burger with da works. The big jars of home made pickles are a big plus for us as well and between those two items - we are always happy campers. Decently priced for the SF market and well prepared with solid ingredients and attention to small but importantly details - such as the high quality ketchup - make the whole package a big yes ! Highly recommended for burger lovers.

My family and I dropped in for some shakes and ice cream. They hit the spot and were busy for a late night rush. Luckily we were able to grab some seats outside because the spot is packed. We ordered on their kiosk which was a breeze. The items came right out. I'm going to get the dipped chocolate cone next time!

First time trying Super Duper after living in the bay for over a year, and I was not disappointed. The restaurant has a decent amount of seating and I would imagine it would be good for families given the many booths. We ordered the current special, a bacon jam burger with blue cheese and arugula, and their double patty super duper burger. We also ordered a side of delicious and crispy fries, three sauces, and a drink. Total was about $40. The food came out about 10 minutes after ordering and I was extremely impressed by the quality of the food. It was so well seasoned and the FRIES! Seriously just so perfectly made. They also have free pickles and ketchup. Can't wait to come back to my new go-to burger place!

My last review was when I was a vegetarian and I felt called to give it an update since that was a very long time ago. I hadn't had Super Duper in a long while and today I popped in with my daughter as we drove thru the city. I'm bummed they don't offer gluten-free buns as many burger places that are chains do at this point. I wasn't overly stoked on the lettuce wrap situation and mostly just ate the meat and cheese, which was very tasty, I might add. If you're looking for a quick and tasty burger patty, this is your place. The staff was very sweet and welcoming and I give them a 5-star.

Tl;Dr - Super duper is probably the most consistently good burger place in the bay area, but this location in particular deserves a special shout out for their stellar staff and decent outdoor seating. Wouldn't usually leave reviews for chains, but this specific location I think best represents what you expect Super Duper to be. Some may say In & Out tops the Duper but they would be dead wrong. If you've never been to Super Duper they offer a limited but consistently awesome menu of burgers, chicken sandwiches, beers, milkshakes, fries, etc. The pricing is actually really good, can get a burger for less than $13 that is quite filling. Juicy, delicious, chefs kiss on these burgers. Don't sleep on the chicken sandwiches though, they are actually really good also. I typically settle in with a mini burger with cheese, garlic fry, and racer 5. Sometimes I'll milkshake it up, and if I do, always add the malt. Free spicy pickles remain the x factor, don't miss them. This spot though, on numerous occasions the guy working between the counter and the kitchen, dude is a pro. I've seen a ton of interactions that deserve their own mentions, they got lucky with him. He's fast, he cares about customer service, and he's just an all around good dude. I go out of my way to eat here because it's always clean, always fast, and the food is just a sconch better than the other locations. If you came to Super Duper first here, you got spoiled.

Convenient location at the Marina .. prefer this location as it's spotlessly clean . Fast service..They have outdoor sitting too as I have buddy dog when we walk . .. Reasonable price too

First time eating at Super Duper. The hamburger was prepared as ordered. The staff were really friendly and efficient. The location was nice and had both inside and outside tables available. It a really laid back, casually nice place for a simple burger and fries. (They have chicken too)

Beware of the soft serve as it gave my friends and I all food poisoning!! I'm usually a big fan of this burger joint, and I've been to this location several times (nothing but positive things to say typically). However, two days ago, my friends and I stopped by Super Duper for dessert. It was toward the end of the night so we could tell that they were closing up shop soon. We all got the dipped cone and all 3 of us unfortunately got severe food poisoning (we had met up there for dessert so we were confident that it was from the soft serve as that was the only thing in common that we all ate). Perhaps it was poor food handling / bad cleaning practices / etc. or even an edge case, but recommend steering clear of the dessert for the time being until they address this issue.

Take your business elsewhere. Burnt bread, burnt and dry chicken. Garlic fries were almost the same as fries with grated cheese. The manager/shift lead had a bit of attitude when asked about Happy Hour. Not in the business of customer service. Check#280 + #6 off the kiosk when one sandwich was missed on the order. Saving grace: Cashier was great!

Walking around the marina on a sunny day. Was parched so we wanted to stop by a bar to get a drink, but then super duper was close by so we also got burgers & fries. The beer on tap was only $6.50! Spent $30

I must say the Oakland location was very good. Ms. Brenda is wonderful . She made me feel like I was welcome. The service s prompt and professional. Ms. Brenda is great!

okay so 50+ bucks for 3 sandwiches is nuts. likeeee i consider myself a chicken sandwich pro and this was a solid 4/10. the sauce they put on had my chicken wet like a slip and slide and it would not stay in that damn bun. flop. literally. we order french fries... 2 of them actually and MR. AI computer thing got it wrong and did not account for the french nor the fry. once receiving the meal our first initial thought was where the crap is our french fries??? once the whole debacle was handled we started to dive into the chicken sando, i felt like my piece of chicken went to niagara falls tour and did not wear a poncho, except it was not water, but chipotle aioli...8/10. the super burger was lowkey mid af, was seasoned good but i swear i asked for cheese but it felt like they put negative cheese on it, or i just got covid and didn't know how to taste cheese. the only good thing was the super duper oreo milkshake, if u were drunk or baked that would be a great snack!

This place isn't too far from the Palace of Fine Arts so if you're in the area, this is a good place to stop by for some burgers. I wish they had more booths at this location but there is still plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. They also have a restroom. You can place your order online which we did. I got the mini burger and it was still filling. They charge 75 cents extra for cheese. I thought the burger was good. It wasn't the best burger I've ever had but it was still delicious. I think the fries were my favorite part of the meal. Their fries are perfectly salty and not too crispy. It's the perfect texture. There's a bus stop right outside the restaurant which is super convenient. We were able to take the bus to our hotel in Union Square.

The burger and fries sat out a good 2 minutes before serving it. The burger was sloppy the ingredients all over the place and the patty all falling out. Fries cold and soggy. Waste of money.

Flew back home from a work trip last night and my husband ordered us some burgers and fries for the popular chestnut street super duper burger. It was good- and I'm not just giving lip service because I was hangry at that point of the evening. The burger: I tired a double patty and added cheese, bacon and grilled onion. Definitely worth to pay little extra (2$) for these tangy and juicy additions. Bun was okay ( no brioche ) but it hit the spot. The patty though- FUEGO- well done guys ! And yes it was perfectly medium rare as you can see in the photo. Fries: nice medium thickness and crunch without soggyneSS; the ketchup has a nice spice to it~ Suggestion: get creative with the toppings!

Best Super Duper Burgers around, there isn't a close second. Burgers juicy and delicious, the service was extraordinary, and the manager was present and welcoming. Again, BEST Super Duper Burgers around. (I've tried 721 Market in SF, Berkeley, Emeryville, Los Gatos, and San Jose locations.)

I came here Friday night 10/1/21. You order and pay, and if you are doing dine-indoors you and others with you must show proof of covid vaccine card (accepted is a photo off your phone) and ID required. It was our first time, and figured we were not that hungry so we ordered mini burgers, and shared the vanilla malt shake & garlic fries. Both our mini burgers was delicious and I would say much better than shake shack because of their buns. The beef patty was cooked about medium rare, it was flavorful and juicy. No issues at all with the special sauce and toppings. I wish they included mushrooms as a free topping, that would be awesome! Vanilla Malted Shake: I really liked their shake in texture. It was not too thick and not too watery. It was just right. I like it when it had milk and the ice cream gets a little icey but still creamy. Its a 50¢ extra charge to make it a MALT. Idk how the shakes texture would taste as a regular vanilla shake. I only think the price for this shake is over priced. The size of this shake is small, and they should have at least a medium size like a bit taller cup for the price you pay. This shake is at least $3.95-$4.50 in my opinion. Garlic Fries: Wow, if you LOVE Garlic Cheese Fries. You will definitely love these. Something about these fries, it smells strongly of garlic, each fry is flavored in garlic oil and chopped garlic pieces with cheese piled on top. It was the best garlic fries I ever had. Now, can this place please include CHILI on their menu because this would make it even more delicious! $4.95 is not bad.

Ordered takeout online on a Thursday night around 6:30pm. The time that they give for pick up is accurate. I got a mini burger, fries, and a strawberry shake. Both the fries and burger were too salty for me. The burger wasn't over done, so that was a plus. Sauce was solid. Vegetables were fresh. Bun was standard. The plus side for the fries is that they're seasoned well enough that you don't need ketchup. In fact, it tastes better without ketchup. Strawberry shake was my favorite. They nail sweetness, and I could taste the strawberries. A bit icy at the end though. Only thing I would really come back for are the shakes.

I want to preface this review by saying that I love Super Duper as a chain! The food is yummy, the veggie burgers are special (they have cucumbers and hummus on them) and the ambience is casual but nice. I've been to the downtown and Presidio Heights locations, and have had nothing but good experiences. That being said, I had a negative experience at this location and will probably not be going back. To start off, we ordered online around 3:30pm on a Sunday, and were told it was going to be a 45 minute wait. This was pretty shocking as at the other locations it is consistently closer to 15 minutes and it didn't seem particularly busy at this point. Nevertheless, we waited the 45 minutes and still hadn't received the notification saying our burgers were ready. After 55 minutes, I went inside and asked. The burgers were ready but they had never updated the order status so they had been sitting out for a few minutes. The burgers tasted good in the end, but to wait that long at a fast-casual burger shop during non-peak hours was frustrating. I'll be going back to Super Duper, but not this location.

4.5 stars. Super Duper is one of my favorite burger places. Before COVID-19, I used to dine mostly at the two locations in FiDi area because it was nearby work. Burgers are always delicious and their garlic fries--amazing! Garlicky, cheesy, and just hits the spot! Mini burger combo is usually what I will get with an upgrade of regular fries to garlic fries + drink. Now, due to current circumstances, we ordered either through pickup or via delivery. Our recent delivery was via DoorDash. Everything came on time, bag stapled, napkins inside, order notes read and fulfilled. Mini Burger (sub with ciabatta) - great! Delicious and the ciabatta added crunch for the first bite; however, the rest of the burger was a bit soggy due to the condensation from the heat in the bag. This is something that can't be help as everything is takeout right now and we personally prefer a bit of a soggy burger rather than unsafe open bag. Truffle Burger (double meat and sub with lettuce wrap). Wow! So good! Definitely get this. The truffle smell, mushrooms and cheese enhance the whole burger experience. We will definitely get this again.

Forgot to remove mayo / super sauce off my burger was able to ask staff to take it off an they were very accommodating and sure it was done. Burger was juicy and fries were crispy and golden. Happy 1000th review to Super Duper Burgers!! I highly recommend this place, it's quick, convenient and they had me at All-Day breakfast sandwich! The chipotle aioli on the organic egg sandwich was fantastic. Cant wait to come back for the burgers and fries!
