The best sushi in Boston!! Like any sushi, I’d recommend eating it fresh at the restaurant and not getting takeout. They are very consistent and the staff is all friendly. I’ve been coming here for years and always leave happy. Highly recommend! (Photos taken from two different times)

They have the Best Hot & Sour soup w/seafood! I've been supporting this gem for awhile and eat sushi weekly, I'm no longer a "local " but I had time today! The sushi is fantastic, always fresh and creative. I got the Watertown Maki, these babies were plump! I'm not a big mayo base, felt it was light which is great as some spots over do it!

Our go to place for 8 years now! We used to live in Watertown and went weekly. Now we live in Framingham and also go weekly. It’s always the place I recommend people visit. The fish is SO good. Legitimately- we’ve lived in San Diego and this place has way better sushi than out there. We’ve also had sushi around the world and this ranks right up there. Head Chef Sam has an eye for the best fish and it shows.

Had some high quality nigiri here. The unagi (eel) and toro (tuna) were fantastic. I also enjoyed their special roll which was salmon + avocado topped with tuna. The sushi rice was well done here.

Hands down one of the best sushi restaurants I’ve ever been to. Sashimi slices are THICK, high quality, AND affordable — nothing has topped them in the quality and price combo, at least for me. Sushi itself is so good, we go here literally once a month and get the same 5 rolls and taste and fish quality are consistently superior every single time. Would highly, highly recommend!

Super Fusion has the most amazing sushi. It is so fresh. 💯 recommend. My family and I had moved away but recently moved back. It was just as I remembered. We got the miso soup, the snow mountain, super fusion volcano maki, the mango wonton maki, and sushi pieces. We normally get another roll, which we had forgotten about (it's on the appetizer menu and it's deep-fried with lobster). The service is always amazing, and all our favorite people were still there. It was so nice to see you all and we'll see you again very soon. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Love coming here, the service is great and the atmosphere is really neighborly and chill. One time we had a sample of seared tuna sent to our table for free from the sushi counter. Food has always been great and fresh! It's a little small so getting a table during peak times could be tough, but in my experience we've never had an issue getting a table on a weeknight specifically.

The trips to Tokyo, Kobe, Osaka, and Sapporo/Hokkaido truly changed my understanding of Japan, their people, and especially their cuisine. I became even more particular when I became close friends with a Japanese sushi chef of three decades - a true shokunin. So it shouldn’t be of surprise that I’ve became severely biased against non-Japanese owned/run (especially when it comes to sushi/sashimi/yakitori) restaurants. It shouldn’t be of any surprise considering that over these decades I’ve also observed undesired shortcuts and inferior techniques that are quite upsetting due to the contradiction to the art itself. However, this may be one of the few exceptions - one of very, very few that I’d ever openly admit to. I first tried this place almost two years ago after reading about them on Eater Boston while originally searching for a reputable omakase spot in the area. I was curious. The name itself was already a giveaway that they weren’t Japanese owned. But I couldn’t resist the temptation to just even partake and see what they were made of. And I honestly was happy I even gave them a chance. As always, there were always methods that I turn to for assessing restaurants. Here, I usually would either order a chirashi (to quickly see the range of their fish and freshness) or a tekkamaki (a staple and standard). And within the same week, I ordered both and more. I was really curious as the range of fish they delivered on the plate was absolutely fresh. Sure, I always have mixed feelings when I see a piece or two of escolar on the plate. Obviously, I still ate it…but as the last piece and only if all the other slices were immaculate. But when I saw their tekkamaki as it arrived, I smiled. They know what they are doing. They really do. Perhaps, one of the good things about being a slightly cheaper sushi spot is the turnover as the fish will always be fresher on your plate. And in this case, a rare exception to the general rule, cheap isn’t exactly cheap on what you get. It might just be because it is also the culture of the group behind this masterpiece. Cheaper means accessibility that even groceries nowadays make us think twice. And they are willing to just do it for the sake of driving traffic in through the doors and be ambassadors for a now much-loved cuisine that often becomes quickly too expensive for the regular folk (for reference, I average $80-150 before drinks alone elsewhere). All those words and all I really wanted to say is…they are non-Japanese and they have broken my bias and made me a regular. We were a party of 4 and came on a Friday night. The dining area was not too big and there was a wait. Service was attentive even though it was busy. The sushi was fresh and tasty. I really enjoyed the fatty tuna and uni

One of my top favorites in Ma. I love the head sushi guy Sam along with the servers joy and Vicky. If it wasn't so far from me I'd go there 2wice a week. All the sushi is fresh and the people creating the dishes take such pride in their work. I even love the ambience which is casual and you'd go right by it if you didn't know about it.

An incredible find. All too often sushi dinners don't fill me up, and I find myself eating a second dinner hours later. Not here! The fish was high quality and the portions were generous for the price. Lots of regulars were welcomed with cheers - it creates a fun ambiance. When you consider service, value and quality - this place is tops for Boston. Bonus: Lots of public parking nearby.

The food here is absolutely delicious! By far the best quality sushi in the Greater Boston area! The service is also always spectacular! It's a very homey small sushi spot, but truly AWESOME sushi! Highly recommend the Mt. Auburn roll (first picture), it is one of my favorites!!

Great local sushi spot while we were in the area. There is a superfusion in Brookline that we loved but on the menu it says they are not associated with each other although their menus are very similar. They do serve some hot entrees in the kitchen for those who don't like sushi. If I lived in the area I would be a regular for sure!

Love love love this place! My bf and I have become frequent diners at this wonderful sushi spot! The sushi is always fresh and scrumptious. They always have interesting new items that are not on their menu which we always try but we almost always go with their individual salmon, eel, and Toro sashimi. We also really like their rolls and they are so good at making substitutions for non avocado people (crazy I know). The Watertown roll is my favorite because it has spicy tuna. I love spiny tuna rolls. Their miso soup is also a must, which makes our meal complete. They have a huge list of roll options which we still need to explore but so far we keep enjoying our favorites! The service is great! They are very attentive and your water cup is always replenished very quickly. We definitely think of this spot when we are craving yummy sushi!

We used to live in Boston and still having our closest friends Ty. So,every time we are in area I never miss the opportunity to come back for dinner. Place is not look like much from outside and inside is very casual,but service is tandem chefs are welcoming. They remember every single detail of their regular customers and creating homey atmosphere. Fish is superb,tuna ball is really w,Watertown roll is my favorite. True neighborhood gem!!!

The sushi was very good and the service was good too. The pricing was a little bit of a jolt, but that may just be #BostonLife. But I enjoyed the meal, I just found myself ordering very carefully.

New favorite sushi place HANDS DOWN!!! My BF and I went here after googling sushi restaurants. This place had fantastic reviews. We were also in the area running errands, so it worked out perfectly. First ... the outside leaves little to be desired, but let's be honest, the best and yummiest places do. Sooooo don't be deterred by the outwardly appearance. The inside is so quaint and the food is crave-worthy. The inside ... small and quaint. We ate the bar, which we loved because we got to see the sushi chefs make our food. The service here was absolutely phenomenal. We kind of felt stupid because we were unfamiliar with menu and some of the items, but our server was so friendly and wonderful. She was very assertive and knowledgeable. We followed her advice and got one of the "chef's special", which was two types of tuna and fresh scallops, instead of ordering something more price conscious off of the lunch menu. I'm so glad we did. The toro was so fatty ... just melted in our mouths. This leads us to the food!!! Although a little pricey, it was definitely worth it!!! The portion of the cuts of fish were very generous. I was full and satisfied when I left, which is sometimes hard to achieve when eating sushi. I would like to try the lunch specials one day to see if the "basic" items on the menu are just as good, but I also will be back for the chef's specials as well. All and all ... we were so freaking happy to find this little gem. We must have talked about it for a hour after, and I've already told some of my friends about it.

The best sushi I've had in the greater Boston area! Such a hidden gem. Fish is always fresh, good value. White tuna maki is my favorite.

2023 updated review: Remains a consistently terrific & affordable neighborhood restaurant to get take-out of basic sushi maki rolls or friendly & efficient casual dine-in. For two people, get the Maki Fusion combo (rolls of tuna, California, shrimp tempera) plus add Negi Hama yellowtail/scallion rolls or eel. This is not the place for the stereotypical sushi snob seeking a single $200 barnacle just now scraped directly off the bottom of the ocean and served in a dimly-lit closet featuring only you & the chef alone to the sound of gently flapping navy curtains. If you are seeking high-end attitude & aesthetics to impress your date, go elsewhere. Super Fusion is a lovely well-run neighborhood restaurant that offers excellent reasonably priced classic options.

If I could give it infinity stars I would. I like that the food come from all different places and that you can watch it be made. It's the best sushi I've ever tasted!!!

It's all about the fish. Been back multiple times. Service is good, ambiance ok, not fancy. The tip is sit at the bar, ask the chefs for their recommendations. Some of the freshest quality sashimi I've found in Boston. Highly recommended, plotting my next visit!

Our Server was Vicky and she had a lovely attitude the entire time and provided excellent service, our sushi rolls were delicious, the mango salad and the dressing was so tasty and the spicy chicken was simply amazing. Everyone did such an amazing job, we will definitely be returning!

This really is a gem, don't let the name fool you. Super Fusion didn't seem like fusion at all, but more like casual Japanese. They have a lunch special every day 11:30-3PM and it is such a great value. We got the sashimi special and mixed tempura lunch special. Both were really good depending on what you are craving. Sashimi was super fresh and generous thickness. For $10-12, you can get quality and fresh Japanese yums! I know I will be back for sure!

Decent sushi lunch specials with miso soup, salad, and fruit. - Mixed sushi ($19) comes with california roll, sushi x3 (tuna, salmon, shrimp), and sashimi x3 (tuna, salmon, yellowtail). Value vs sushi special, with $5 more for 3 pc sashimi. - Diamond combo ($16.50) crunchy tuna maki and crunchy salmon maki. - Sashimi special ($15.50) 3 tuna, 2 salmon, and 2 yellowtails. - Triple sushi combo ($17) comes with sushi x6 (tuna, salmon, yellowtail x2 each). - Sushi special ($14) one each tuna, salmon, ebi and California maki.

Just stopped into this busy and authentic little place in Watertown. It's a sushi gem, so fresh and well cut and seasoned. The service is terrific. If you get there and it's full, be patient, it's worth the wait!

Nice, upbeat ambiance. I went for dinner on a Thursday, and it was packed. Still, I was able to get seated quickly at the bar. The service was friendly and helpful. As for food, I would highly recommend the specials. I got the Double Toro Maki, and it was delicious. Everything in the roll was perfectly balanced, and it was topped off by thick cuts of fatty tuna on top. I also got Sushi 3 Kinds, which is a straight-forward salmon, tuna, and yellowtail combination. It came out exactly as advertised, but compared to the special, it really was nothing special.

A-level sushi. Couldn't ask for a better neighborhood sushi joint. No frills, but great food and friendly service. Everything on the menu is quality. I get takeout weekly and my usual is the Super Fusion Spicy Maki combo: 3 rolls (1 Spicy tuna + 1 Shrimp tempura roll + 1 California roll = 18 Pieces plus miso soup got $17.95. Super Fusion in Watertown is great. It flies under the radar but If you are local and enjoy sushi, try it and it will become you go to spot. Super fresh and consistently excellent... I went to Oishii in Boston for the first time last week and no joke, I prefer this place... Some faves include Rainbow roll (wow!), Tuna ball, Watertown roll and anything tuna... There is sub standard and inferior sushi take out / eat in out there that is 25% more too fwiw..

No. Just no. This isn't real sushi. The fish isn't very fresh. The fish on sushi rice is too huge -- that's not how sushi is made. It's just not good food. I recommend Hanami in Belmont, just a mile away. Much better quality and service.

Once again excellent overall. The baby octopus sald was nice, and tender, but a bit too sweet. The black forest maki had eel and fried sweet potato - each of these was rather nice, but in combination, they seem a bit underwhelming flavorwise. The black widow maki, however, which had fried sweet potatoe with avocado, worked really well, texturally. (And flavorwise). The Futo maki was excellent - I would have considered having a smaller piece of pickle radish, which seemed to overwhelm the rest of the ingredients, but they were all fresh. The highlights of the meal were the two special makis - first the Rainbow Maki, which had really nice crab stick, mixed well with shrimp and avocado. Each of the fish slice types were also quite fresh as well. Finally, the Watertown Maki was good - the tempura crumb balanced with yellotail and spicy tuna, both of which had softer textures. Overall very enjoyable!!!

Outstanding. Love the sushi bar, the staff was pleasant and welcoming, the food was memorable. I love the atmosphere. They are not stingy when it comes to filling their Maki rolls. Filling and satisfying. Seldom have I gone to a Japanese Restaurant when there were daily specials. One thing I would be aware of, is one of the rolls I received had a slight soapy taste to it. It's never intended. But something to keep in mind. This is a hidden gem that sushi lovers look for. Would recommend...and I am a picky...PICKY eater.

Saw the reviews online and decided to give it a try. Sat at the bar and had a great meal! We had miso soup, gyoza, and 2 orders of sushi. All of it was great! Definitely going back.

A five star review and I have not even had the food here. A follow up review will happen when I get to eat here. * * * Last night a friend and I were in Watertown doing last minute Christmas shopping. We wound up at the CVS on Main Street. She was craving sushi and we had places to be. We decided to order takeout so that we could get home and have a massive present wrapping festival. A Google search of "sushi restaurants near me" led to Super Fusion II. We placed a take out order online with some special instructions of no soy sauce, none of the yummy tempura flakes and specific instructions of no dairy, no gluten (you'd be surprised how many people do not realize that there is gluten in soy sauce). We submitted the order and within minutes received a call from the restaurant asking for clarification. The order said no dairy and no gluten, but their spicy mayo has soy sauce in it (we've seen that before). Also the wasabi has soy in it (who knew?). She called to confirm that the maki should be spicy mayo free and to leave the wasabi out of the order. In all the years of going to restaurants with this friend, I've _never_ seen such service and attention to detail. Well done, Super Fusion II and the woman who cared enough about her customers to make that call. She told us it would be about ten minutes for the order to be ready. We were literally around the corner and parking was a breeze, so we were there in five minutes. The order was already waiting for us. I am so looking forward to trying the food here the next time I am in Watertown.

Yep, been coming here ten years. NEVER disappoints - Vicky takes care of us. You can tell a sushi restaurant by the eel - here it is tender, sweet and delicious every time.

I almost think that a competitor had to have written that recent negative review. I lived in Japan for years, so I think I should know that Sushi Fusion most definitely serves "real" sushi! And it has always been extremely fresh. The service is wonderful. My boyfriend and I are ordering from there tonight as a matter of fact. It's not nice to publicly tear down an establishment only to advertise another, even mentioning it's location. Very transparent! I recommend Sushi Fusion to every sushi lover I know. It's the best!

Super Fusion Watertown nails it every time. I have tried many a maki roll in my life and the maki here is some of the best I have ever had. Delicious buttery fish, perfectly ripe avocado, black rice (for + $2) that adds a nutty flavor. The woman who usually answers the phone and manages pick-up when you arrive is super friendly, efficient, and grateful to customers for stopping in. Over time, I have learned the value of having a little bit of something amazing over a lot of something mediocre. My go-to spicy salmon roll, add avocado, and with black rice is just over $10, which is a bit expensive for a single regular roll, but its perfection is worth every penny.

This review pertains to delivery services over the last several orders. Tonight (a Tuesday) we have already waited 90 minutes for our order and it's still not here. This has become more the norm than the exception. The food is delicious, but lately it arrives extremely late and the warm items are often cold. When we call to check status, they never apologize, they just say they are very busy. They need to get serious about getting more help, or not taking orders when they are too busy. In the meantime we are going to order elsewhere.

clean, small but comfortable and enough elbow space. Staff was very efficient and pleasant. The Lighting: perfect. I got the spicy salmon and spicy tuna and both were well priced and finger licking good. Warm sake was super tasty and we got in and got seated and served instantly. It was an experience I want again.

Wow! The freshest quality, taste, and best service of any Japanese restaurant in MA. We arrived right after opening and sat at the bar. The chefs were extremely kinda and made conversation with us. Our server gave recommendations based of the freshest fish they had today. We ordered only things recommended to us. I don't even know if they were on the menu. And wow! Incredible. Cleanliness of the restaurant was also something to know. A team that takes care of their space takes care of their food. This is A must try, worth a drive, thank you for great quality food at a great price and memorable service (I should have asked our servers name)

Wonderful little spot! Sat at the bar with my son so he could watch them rolling. The lunch menu had a great selection if you wanted to try a little of a lot. Miso soup was great, I really enjoyed the ginger dressing on the salad not too sweet. The crunch effect with spicy tuna was unexpected and very appropriate. The chef at the bar was friendly as well as the rest of staff. Great value for the money, best seafood I've had since I e been in Boston, thank you for that!!

Best sushi in Boston!! Incredible. I couldn't believe how good this sushi is and it's very affordable, always consistent. My favorites have been the Watertown maki and the spider maki, but everything I've ordered is fantastic. The spicy tuna/salmon/yellowtail is also delicious - there's so much fish for the price! There's good sushi, and there's really high quality sushi. This is the latter. Tried out twice and it stood out even among the restaurants I like.

I'm so sad that I have to update my review :( I ordered takeout recently from here and it was so disappointed. The fish seemed so old, not what I was expecting at all compared to my previous experiences. Time to find a new sushi spot...
