Next to Honey Buns, this bakery turns out Cantonese-style breads, egg tarts, and sweet buns—perfect after savory dumplings. Noted by local writers as a reliable stop for classic Hong Kong–style sweets and milk teas.

It's nice to have a place where we can get Korean groceries so far from the land of the morning calm. We would love to see kimbap at the food court and Korean some more Korean beverages (apple juice is what my son wants) as we can't find them online. Hoping another opens further north!

Google
This used to be my main supermarket when I lived in Charlotte. And it has not stopped being a great place to find unique fruit and the kind of staples I wouldn't be able to find anywhere but outside of the country. I've always loved the bun shop in the back as well.

Google
An excellent Asian grocery store. If you're looking for any asian ingredients, snacks, drinks, etc, this is the store to visit. You will find a wide range of kitchenware products. The restaurants inside seem to be great. We only tried one, as we came here 1 hour before the store closed. The aisles are clean, and products are well organized and easy to read the products and prices. Parking is shared with other businesses, and it is easy to find a parking space. There is an entrance only and exit only for this store.

I love the variety. It was like getting excited to go to the mall! Granted, this was only my 2nd visit & it noticeably smelled of seafood. There were exotic fruits & vegetables, seasonings, snacks, cookware, & utensils like chopsticks. They except NFC as payment & both times we went no long lines.

Google
Best place to drop by for Asian fruits and seafood items u can't find around the area. U gotta hit the small store after the entrance. Love bakery and sweet they have. I always get buy a roll of MOCHA ROLL CAKE to take home with me cause they have the best one I've tried so far. Love it here.

Google
Really love having Super G Mart nearby! The selection of international foods is amazing, especially the produce section and the huge variety of snacks and ramen. It's a great place to find ingredients you can't get at regular supermarkets. The food court in the back is a nice bonus too, grabbed some tasty stuff from Honey Buns last time. It can get pretty busy, especially the seafood counter, and sometimes it takes a while to find exactly what I'm looking for on the shelves, but overall it's a fantastic spot for international groceries. Definitely worth checking out if you want to explore different foods!

Google
ASIAN dishes! Come find your ingredients fast. This place is a wonderful sight to stay and just look around. Take your Asian cookbooks with you! So amazingly organized to see everything. There are ingredients from other countries too. Pick yourself up off the couch and go! Also, the pastry shop? 😲 OMG!

Google
For cleanliness of the store two stars. For cost of the store— it’s a rip off on many many items. We went to the store looking for 5lb packages of yakisoba noodles. And there weren’t any! There was small 16 oz packages for $4.49! Definitely not worth the price. You can get those at chef’s store for way better deal! The store has a lot of stuff but it’s waaaay overpriced!

Yelp
I don't come to this location very often. I prefer the Pineville Super G. But this store has a pretty good Korean Restaurant that I always eat at whenever I'm here. I don't like shopping here tho. This store is always overstocked and the aisles are narrow. The sound system is horrendous and the music they play is always tinny sounding and irritating. So ambiance sucks here. Customer service is nonexistent. Every time I've ever asked for help finding something, the staff around the aisles (if I can find one) have no idea what I'm talking about. And it's not a language problem. I asked for help finding a bottle of kecap manis from someone who spoke perfectly fine English and he just told me, "I have no clue." They do have a nice big fresh produce section, which is where I spend most of my money. I like the selection of mushrooms and greens. They rotate everything and the produce always looks fresh. The meat and fish section is also a good place to find cuts of meat and types of fish that you won't find anywhere else. They will also clean your fish for you and filet it the way you want. The bibimbap at the Korean Restaurant is always good. Price has gone up over the years tho. Customer service there is always excellent.

Yelp
This is the best Asian market in the Charlotte area. There is great variety with fresh produce, refrigerated goods, seafood, meats, and frozen meals. If I had more time, I would have stopped for lunch in the small food court where prices are reasonable and the offerings are surprisingly unique. The parking lot can get crowded during prime hours but still large enough to find a spot. Traffic will be an issue at certain times of the day. I suggest going at night or weekends.

Yelp
Oh my goodness. If this place was near me I would be thirty pounds heavier. Go inside it is fantastic. Had the beef soup (OH MY). Flavor was outstanding with tremendous depth. Was prepared to order and service was with a smile. Ok ambiance lacks and has that back of store feel and the chairs have no cushions but the food is delicious.

Yelp
First time going to an international market in Charlotte, and this one is great . Anything you can't find in standard grocery stores , is more than likely here. First off the store is large and very clean and organized. The employees are very nice and helpful, great customer service . I wanted to make some lumpia and found every single ingredient I need . I even found multiple brands of spicy and cane vinegar that I saw on TikTok. If you're hungry there are great food stalls in the back of the restaurant. Honey Buns cafeteria has great fried rice and thai tea.

Yelp
Large grocery store with a lot of options for various international foods. The produce was fresh. They even have a sweet bakery shop and two quick food pick up places as soon as I entered, I smell the deliciousness of honey buns. They were out of the veggie bun. They have plenty of parking in a share parking lot. The prices are decent. The staff are friendly. I recommend and will likely return. Hope you enjoy and find what you need.

Yelp
Super G Mart Charlotte is one of the biggest foreign grocery stores I have ever visited thus far. I was thrilled to find a large assortment of goods, many of which I had been looking for a while. Everything that you wouldn't find at your neighborhood grocer is available at this market, including a wide range of fruits and vegetables as well as various types of meat. I was thrilled to see Tous les Jour at Super G Mart and bought a good number of things there as well. The food court's closure disappointed me, but after speaking with an associate, he assured me to give it some time and that it should reopen in the future.

Yelp
Visited Super G mart off East Independence Blvd, bought some Burdock root, it had a good price on the label so I grabbed that particular bunch, when I went to check out, the cashier rung up my items, then she picked up the Burdock root, looked at the price, didn't say anything to me, she just walked off, went to a scale and weighed the root, she then called an manager/security, He looked at it, he appeared to be checking to see if I pulled the price off and applied another lower price, I overheard him saying, well you have to give it to him at that price, I then walked over to the customer service desk where they were and told them, it's not my fault that someone weighed the vegetable wrong, the cashier was rude, she should have known. The manager tried to cover for her, that really upset me, the cashier acted as if I was a criminal, after she walked back to the register, I told her that was rude and not good customer service, she acted like she didn't want to finish the transaction and I had to tell her to finish taking my money, after she accepted my money, I told her, that she was rude, I'm retired military person and I make plenty of money and wouldn't change a label, she then starred me down and took her sweet time, like she was in charge of returning my change, I had to snatch my change out her hand, it's ashamed the way people from other countries, come to the US and don't know customer service. I understand G Mart is owned by the Han Family, no number for customer service to file a complaint.

Yelp
Huge Asian store! They offer a lot. Basic grocery stuff plus meats, fresh seafood, and a lot of exotic/tropical fruits. They also sell cookware and dining ware. Best part; they have a bakery and a dim sum restaurant inside. I haven't tried the dim sum yet but I want to. I do love their egg tart and the flan! I wish they were closer to me or open up a location on the west side of town. There's so little stuff around the west side.
google avatar

Miok C.

Yelp
It's was okay . I like the newer Gmart on pineville. You also have the food court in that same plaza. This location is small. Nothing like our 99 ranch in California.
google avatar

Ashlea C.

Yelp
I previously rated this location really highly, but after visiting the Pineville location, I can say that this place is a headache. Yes they have a great selection of items from all over the world, and an awesome food court, but with the amount of people that swarm around each aisle like vultures it's simply not worth the stress. I was riding a cart because of an injury, and people were reaching over me and pushing me down the aisles as I was trying to look. This location also doesn't have the ready/to go fresh meals either. As we were checking out, the cashier girl was kind of rude too. No customer service skills whatsoever. We will definitely be shopping at the other location from now on. PS a lot of the produce is looking slimy and wilted these days. Not worth it.

Yelp
While part of a national chain, the diversity is quite great, the smell as soon as you walk in is quite unpleasant. Diversity is here for goods, see photos!! And certainly this is a high volume customer interface place with restaurants but, it should be considered for a refreshment. It's a bit dark, unwelcoming, strong unsanitized scents but clearly a hot spot for the community. Staff was a bit challenging to work with but not disrespectful. One can tell having visited numerous other 'Marts' around other states, this one is a bit in decline. Recommend: For those seeking specific asiatic cuisine specific food requirements, yes. Anybody want pork blood, salmon heads or beef tongues? You can even buy toilets here... seriously.

Terry J.

Yelp
Great spot for everything asian I need when cooking. Very challenging finding an english speaker when needing help. Constantly amazed how an individual can work in a country and not even attempt to speak the native language? I lived. in Italy for a spell and took classes prior to going! oh well , God Bless America
google avatar

Na'Shota L.

Yelp
3*= A OK The pros of this International store are: 1. you can find hard to find items 2. it does have a couple of restaurants inside The cons that I experienced are: 1. the smell of the seafood area. (I've been told from a fishmonger that if you can smell fish at the front of the store, don't buy) 2. The rudeness of the staff that are stocking. They treat you like you are in their way and do not care about personal space. I had one man to push me amd then looked at me like I pushed him. (I did report it) 3. You run the risk of items being expired. I was elated to find beef salami, but when I got home, it was already spoiled and nowhere near the expiration date.

Jessica J.

Yelp
The fish tank is not only unsanitary, but it is also inhumane to house so many fish in such a small space. The lack of room severely restricts their ability to swim and move freely, which is essential for their well-being. Fish need ample space to move around to thrive, as cramped conditions can lead to stress, disease, and even premature death. Overcrowding can cause water quality to deteriorate quickly, making the environment unsanitary and harmful to the fish and people are supposed to eat that???? In terms of improving the situation, it would be best to either upgrade the tank to one that's properly sized for the number of fish or reduce the number of fish to match the current tank size. Regular water changes, proper filtration, and the right tank conditions (such as temperature, pH, and lighting) are also key for their health.

Yelp
The market is great, They have lots of food from different countries. Korea, Japan, India, Mexico, china, etc. very nice service here, the cashiers are nice :) The Ambiance isn't great but that doesn't even matter lol.
google avatar

Mario M.

Yelp
I was so happy when I hear super g was coming to my side of charlotte. After a few delays, the place opened with the same great international items it sold at the Independence location. The big difference is that there is not many prepared food options open yet, like there is at the other location. Your only option is the French Japanese bakery. Which is stellar by the way. More options are coming from what I understand. This location is way cleaner and not so crowded. So get there before everyone finds out about it.
google avatar

Yelp
Mango smoothie, passionfruit tea, and Hong Kong milk tea! So delicious :) Go support Hong Kong Bakery inside the Super G Mart!!!
google avatar

Tristan P.

Yelp
I go here for my hotpot cravings and Korean BBQ thin sliced meats. Prices are just right. Make sure to inspect your produce well. Lots of variety and Very International as the name implies!
google avatar

Gretchen K.

Yelp
This is one of the first Asian supermarkets I visited when my folks moved to NC in 2017. They offer a variety of cuisines and products under one roof. There is usually plenty of parking in the plaza this market is located in, depending on the time of day you go. Regardless, I've always seen the story very busy with customers buying items from meats, seafood, hot food from the food court, and ingredients for various dishes. They even have an impressive housewares and home goods area for appliances like rice cookers and nicer ceramics. The aisles are clearly marked and usually it's not difficult to find what you are looking for. Prices are pretty fair and in line for items I've seen at other Asian markets.

Yelp
Not satisfied with your regular ordinary boring meal night after night then Super G will help you with that problem. Super G is in my opinion the best Asian market in Charlotte. Super G is known for their Asian food selection but they offer many international foods. I do come here for the unique fruits and vegetables, the fresh fish that you won't find at Publix or Harris Teeter and the rice. Super G also has a restaurant but I haven't tried it yet but I hear that it's good and there is normally a long line to order food. Here you will also find Asian utensils, housewares, chairs, toilets and whatever else you could think of. When you come here, you must understand that it's always busy and people don't always adhere to the personal space unspoken rule. Don't get upset because it's just a cultural thing. The aisles will sometime be crowded and people won't move but you just have to push through. The stockers do the best they can with keeping the shelves stocked and if you want to know where something is then you may get lucky and they'll be able to tell you. Overall, Super G Mart is a great shopping center with a wide array of different foods, spices and whatever else. Every time you come here you'll find something new and interesting that he may not have noticed before. Lastly, be patient with the associates and other customers because there can sometimes be a language barrier but I've never taken offense.

Yelp
I am a big fan of International foods, so this place is an absolute wonderland to me. With all of the spices, exotic hot drinks, and exciting novelty items this is no Walmart or Food Lion. With the meat and produce... Amazon could NEVER compete. I would appreciate more sugar-free items, but I guess that is an American issue. The produce section is not as well-stocked as it could be, but some of the produce is so competitively priced and superior in product quality it makes sense to get some of your vegetable items here regularly if you are close to this store. I am half an hour away, so it's not convenient for me to shop here on a regular basis. Parking is plentiful and the queues are fast-moving. For me, it always come back to the humanity behind the business. As one would assume a market this large requires quite a bit of staff. And while the stock workers are warm, friendly, helpful and appear hardworking the check-out staff seems to be a family of owners and acted perfunctory, cold, distant and very much as if they resented me for smiling. I shudder to think about the experiences of working for these people... Finally, five stars for this vast business providing products that offer a taste of home and happiness to many, but minus two for the living hell that probably plays out daily here. I've rounded it down to a fair three stars.
google avatar

Chino P.

Yelp
We went here on a Monday looking forward to some Korean food meals but they were closed. So we tried the Chinese/Vietnamese place and it was not good at all. The market was cool with huge-varieties of oriental goods.
google avatar

Deborah N.

Yelp
No world markets like this in my home area. Quite a huge store with many food items. Mainly, the produce choices were amazing. Prices seemed reasonable. The market was crowded and aisles were filled with people. It is the customer's responsibility to try and maintain social distancing In those areas. The checkout and register area were clearly marked. The only thing I was unsure about was the grocery basket and cart cleaning policy. I am from a different state where cart cleaning is mandatory for businesses. I didn't see any cart cleaning being done, except by customers. But that may be way it is done here.

Yelp
Great Asian Food Court especially this Korean joint Don't bother to search authentic Korean menus This place is my favorite quick bite for Asian food Service is superior friendly employees Ambiance is typical ordinary food place to sit down and feed your hungry tummy Whenever I go to Charlotte NC I make this my first stop You will know why when you get your appetite for some hot delicious soup from Korea especially. I haven't told you about the Bibimbap and Bulgogi they have . All delicious. It you haven't heard this names of dishes You will not be disappointed. Trust me. Groceries item is next door. We don't have enough space here to write about my comments. I just wanna say one thing.... Satisfaction
google avatar

Shirley P.

Yelp
This is an international grocery store that has a huge selection. I'm so happy to find what I'm looking for, and every aisle is well stocked. They even have vendors in the food court that you can support. I'm a little disappointed that they didn't have a Chinese style barbecue where you can order that with rice in a form of a box lunch. Other than that, I can see myself being a regular if I lived in the area. They are located in a strip mall, there's plenty of free parking on premise, and their products are also affordable. The staff is friendly, and they were able to get me in and out. I'd recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for an international grocery store. There is something for everyone, and I'd totally return when I'm in the area.
google avatar

Hwal L.

Yelp
Ok, firstly, H Mart for me is the barometer of Korean grocery stores, so that was my expectations going in. It turns out this place is more international than H Mart. Which is to say that I missed quite a few things, like takeaway Korean goodies. But this store is massive, and I believe we ended up with a respectable haul in the end. The Singo pears are to die for, Banana Kick is still kicking, and Cosomi is as sweet as ever. One gripe is that it was almost impossible to find Cosomi anywhere in the store, and it was only by pure chance that I happened upon it in a random trolley while walking to the register. The sausage bread from the bakery on one end of the building had this inexplicable aftertaste but otherwise was a good filler. May it last a long time.
google avatar

Aaliyah T.

Yelp
I'm so thrilled that Super G is so close! Always an amazing selection! Staff is definitely more helpful here than my experience at the Super G in Greensboro. I will be coming here a lot! Thank you!
google avatar

Emizz Z.

Yelp
New to town here and after checking out 5 international supermarkets, Super G is the only that covered most of the Asian household needs with quality.
google avatar

Keisha H.

Yelp
Overall this store is greatness! You can get a variety of diverse products here. I always stock up on Jamaican seasonings as well as Chinese noodles.
google avatar

Nino R.

Yelp
My go-to Asian market. They have absolutely everything. Like everything. I'm serious. I visit here a lot (work related) and they usually have what I need like 90% of the time. The only item that's suspect is there soup dumplings. I've tried them and it's hit or miss at best. But if you need bulk produce, then head to the back. You will get blessed. Just make sure you're ready for the jelly. Cuz that's a perishable item baby...
google avatar

Jennifer T.

Yelp
Love this place! I'm like a kid in a candy store every time I visit. So many foods to try, fruits to learn, snacks to discover and new ramen to purchase. The store is huge with an assortment of options many geared toward Asian related foods. They have a dine in food court if you get hungry while shopping that has reasonably priced delicious food. I love the boba tea personally! Give yourself some time if you come because the store is huge but it's a solid Asian market!
google avatar

Rosemarie A.

Yelp
What a great place to shop. Helpful staff. They have such a large variety of Oriental food, amazing. We drove all the way from Columbia to Charlotte to shop here. Their seaweed salad is excellent. We will shop there again and can recommend it to anyone that likes oriental food.
google avatar

Marie D.

Yelp
Super G has a lot of great products! It's an international grocery store and has products that you can't find at a local grocery store or specific groceries store. If you ever in need of cooking your favorite dish take a look here you will not be disappointed. Fresh produce, seafood, and different cuts of meat. The best time to shop here is in the AM. Traffic does get a little hefty after 4pm. There are a lot of parking spaces and good food in the area too. Super G Mart will be opening another location in Pineville hopefully before the end of the year. Super excited for the new set up.
google avatar

Raquel S.

Yelp
Wow! Super G Mart really impressed me!! They have a huge selection of international products at great prices. It's clean and well organized and doesn't smell bad. The produce, meat, and seafood all looked really fresh. I came here looking for supplies to make Vietnamese iced coffee -- Cafe du Monde coffee with chicory (on sale for $5.29) and the metal coffee drip filters ($4.99 each) -- and found them quickly and for much less than on Amazon. I also found some cute dishes that I want to come back for!
google avatar

Nicholas S.

Yelp
Super G Market has a good variety of international grocery products while at reasonable prices. I wish the staff could be a little more helpful when trying to find products (I've had a few occasions where they didn't know where something was and left me to walk aimlessly around the store) and the facilities could be a little cleaner.
google avatar

Terri C.

Yelp
2.5 stars The supermarket is large but it is older looking. The supermarket has about 70% Asian groceries and 30% of other ethnic groceries. It has a little bit of everything but not a huge selection of any item. If you want a particular sauce, you might not find the brand you want. The place has a worn out look. Whenever I placed something in my cart, I checked the expiration date. Surprisingly, i didn't find anything past expiration which reassured me a little. There is a bakery in the food cart area but it didn't look too appealing and we passed on this.
google avatar

Yelp
So I felt bad about giving such a low review last time, but I JUST couldn't believe how so many folks went about maskless last time I was here...when it was elbow-to-elbow packed! Anyway, I went back to get some jars of Kimchi on a Sunday...and surprisingly, it wasn't half as packed as Saturday (note to self...NEVER go on a Saturday!). And the biggest surprise was how this time around, just about everyone was wearing a mask! I didn't catch the mask sign on the door, so not sure if they started mandating masks again...or if I just happened to hit a good day...but no matter, it was a happy surprise. For this huge improvement in their protocol (if that's what it was?), I'm happy to upgrade the review. Honestly I prefer H-Marts to G-Marts, but this is THE biggest ethnic store in Charlotte...so I've got to give it props.
google avatar

Emily D.

Yelp
I've been here only a handful of times because it's about 40 minutes from my place (which really isn't that bad lol). But it's WORTH the trip! I love love love this Asian market! They pretty much always have everything in stock when I come. Theres just so many different kinds of meats, noodles, rice, veggies, fruits, sauces, oils, spices, snacks, etc! You name it, they probably have it Thanks for always having rice cakes, Topokki sauce, and pork belly in stock! Love Super G Mart!

Yelp
Coming from Miami, I was taken back by seeing the size of this asian supermarket and the inventory they carried; I could move here anytime!! This place is huge, larger than anything in Miami that we have, although there's a NY Mart in North Miami being built right now and that will be the largest in the 305 once it's done. But for Charlotte, this place is life; in fact, I never imagined an asian store of the magnitude in the outskirts of Charlotte which needs a large asian population to support. They're a few fast food spots in the back corner that are not affiliated with the store, and the food is great. We tried the Short Ribs and they were excellent, nice and medium thickness; I ordered 2 servings of rice but sadly, they used long grain rice instead of the usual short grain rice which normally comes with this dish in Korean restaurants. It's not like they couldn't find any short grain rice since there were 1000s of pounds inside the store!! We also order a service of Chicken Fried Rice and it was good too and we also ordered a Pina Colada bubble tea. If you're looking for pretty fresh fish, great beef and chicken selections, this place has your covered! Can't wait to visit again!
google avatar

Greg C.

Yelp
I would have gone five stars if I had been able to find a few particularized ingredients for a couple Chinese dishes. Cured pork belly to slice thin and make twice cooked pork; and that funky long aged bean paste used in Szechuan boiled fish and beef dishes. Don't misunderstand, this is the largest and most well stocked supermarket this side of H Mart. And the supply chains don't trace as much to China as they do to South Korea. Plus the full assortment of pastry buns you'd find in a Lower East Side NY bakery, coconut buns and ham and cheese for two extremes. Do go, and ask them to start getting cured pork belly. If there are a couple of us, maybe they'll stock it. Enjoy.

Yelp
Nice Korean grocery store on Independence Blvd in the Charlotte area. The price is slightly cheaper compared to Seattle's. They carry many Asian foods, produces and household products. All things were shelved tidy.
google avatar

Rebecca L.

Yelp
Always happy to grocery shop here for fresh fish and Asian produce and pantry items! They also have a Korean food steak, Chinese fun sun food stall, bubble tea, Asian bakery.

Adelaide L.

Yelp
Had so much fun when I went recently! There is a lot of food and snacks to try from different cultures. Service at the bakery inside was excellent! You need to get there at a decent time to make sure there are all the options! Definitely try some cake (vanilla and green tea were amazing!) and milk bread with cream if you can!

Yelp
Korea to Japan, China to India this place really is everything Asian from groceries to snacks to the acquired smell seafood. What I love about foreign grocery markets is they always have a fun and well thought out dining experience as well, from Chinese buns to Korean tteboki, boba tea and beyond. I literally came for a Korean style loofah towel and pocki but ended up not only eating but walking out with much more. If you are looking for pan Asian grocery and food... make sure you stop in to super G mart
google avatar

Stephanie M.

Yelp
For some reason this keeps popping up for Asian markets when there is so much more to it. If you are looking for ingredients for Asian, Indian or Mexican you will find it here. Being from Atlanta we have loads of options for all of these. Super G offers lots of sauces, dried ingredients and frozen veggies. If you are looking for marinated meats of any kind, fresh kimchi or trays of ban chan forget it. The fish area is so small and prices average. They will be remodeling this area in October. Super G a 3.5 at best.

Yelp
Great spot for shopping and lunch take the family you can find all your needs they got Asian restaurant you can enjoy

Yelp
Good selection of products but the worst customer service ever. You might be waiting at the fish counter for 30 plus minutes before they even acknowledge you yet they'll help other people who've just walked up.

Yelp
Not to be confused with a Super G String (my gf has a lot of those), and a Super G Spot (my gf has one of those but my goodness does it work), this is an awesome supermarket in Charlotte. Not inside someone named Charlotte, but an actual city... never mind. I guess this is one step below H Mart on the scale of letter-shaped International Grocery Stores. They have a cool Korean place, and some Chinese stuff, and some bubble tea - several different versions of it, as well as an excellent bakery - so a little bit of everything around here. I'm definitely a fan of the store. Charlotte was never synonymous with ethnic delights for me, so it's wonderful to find places like this and see that I was wrong about the city. They have two different bubble tea shops in here - one of them serving Hong kong-style milk tea and other goodies - and the other one serving more common delicious bubble tea. I'm a fan of both. I prefer the Ali G Mart, in Hounslow near London, but that's for another day.
