Developer Who Tore Down Cha Cha Cha Names Building After The Restaurant | Eater LA

"A family-owned bakery that had served the community for about 20 years before being evicted and closing in 2018; its loss is cited alongside the restaurant's closure as part of a broader pattern of longstanding local businesses being pushed out during neighborhood redevelopment." - Mona Holmes

I am very disappointed with this business due to the mediocre food. Super pan gave me what I believe is "re-fried chicken" instead of freshly cooked(the chicken was hard as a rock) and, my rice only contained two shrimp, which I feel is inadequate for the $14 price point. I expressed my dissatisfaction to the manager and requested a refund. I do not recommend this place.

Sitting in the restaurant waiting for an online order that was supposed to be ready 20 minutes ago, still saying 10-15 minutes. Wife likes the food, it was good when they first opened and warranted the premium price. Not really any longer. Young staff at the counter seems to care less. This will be our last order. UPDATE: Received order 1 hour after ordering- 40 minutes after pickup time quoted on web ordering. - Chicken was overcooked - Spring Roll was cold inside - Combination plate missing an Eggroll

I absolutely love this place! The portions were generous and staff has amazing service. It was a cute and comfortable place with a shelf of Jade sculptures among other art. The ramen had a flavorful broth. The orange chicken was sweet and delicious. The udon was perfectly sautéed. They also served jumbo shrimp in their dish along with a plentiful amount of meat. I loved their dumpling sauce made by the owner themself. It had garlic, and different peppers so the sauce wasn’t plain. I tried their Thai tea, regularly one of my favorite drinks, and it wasn’t too sweet. Well done! I’ll be coming to this place regularly.

Was gonna get food from here tonight and thought the food was reasonably priced based off the menu photos. Those prices are highly inaccurate. Wanted general tso chicken combo meal and on the image it says $10 and change...they wanted $19. So ended up going to cookout.

Google
First time ordering. Shrimp and broccoli was good. Fried chicken wings were hard, dark colored, and appeared to be either reheated or cooked in old grease. The egg roll, they could have kept. Something soft inside turned me off. If I wasn’t tired, I would have taken it back. Not returning

Food arrived hot and on time. It was flavorful and very yummy. We had the fried dumplings, general tso shrimp and orange chicken. Absolutely delicious.

Google
We will definitely be back, they just opened and we have been waiting forever for a decent Chinese restaurant to open, and this one seems to have hit the mark, everything had a lot of flavor, the crab rangoon was the best I have had in years!!! Everything was delicious, restaurant was clean, and they were very friendly. Welcome to the area!

Google
Pretty typical for a strip mall Chinese restaurant, but considering it is right next to a grocery store you know it has to be good. Quality was great and really quick. Ordered for 5 people and it was done in less than 20 minutes.

Yelp
Came in here on a Saturday to dine in. You order at a counter and they'll bring the food out. Girl working the counter was pleasant. It's clean inside but pretty small. We ordered two large teas, egg drop soup, two spring rolls, crab Rangoon, orange chicken, and beef with broccoli. The teas were ginormous but only had one tea bag in them. They were also a few dollars each. I brought them home and added two more tea bags of my own to make it have some flavor. Egg drop soup was delicious! Reminded me of the one I would have growing up at my local Chinese restaurant. It was great. The wonton strips that came with it were very stale and a bit of a put off. Crab Rangoon was good, not exactly fried to golden perfection but nothing wrong taste wise. They were on the smaller side. Spring roll was decently. More of a cabbage flavor to it than I am used to. Orange chicken looked good and had peppers in it which I was stoked about, as well as actual orange peel. However, the dish itself did not taste like orange at all. Only if you ate a direct piece of orange peel did it have any hint of orange The beef and broccoli was pretty bland and it did not look fatty, but it felt and tasted fatty in the mouth. The rice with each dish was okay. A little greasy looking for white rice. Overall, I would come back for the egg drop soup but I wouldn't come back to explore the menu. We ordered pretty basic things and found them to be less than average. I would try somewhere else next time.

Yelp
Initially we liked super pan, but after a second try and having metal in our food we decided to take business elsewhere. The recent meal was subpar, watery dumplings, stale rice, melted sauce cups and metal in our meal. Called to rectify but was told we would be refunded for the meal which hasn't happened. Go elsewhere, not worth it.

Yelp
Food was good but not memorable. Hope to try again. Service was good, accurate and fast.

Yelp
coming from New York City I am always on a quest to find the best New York Szechuan. I don't know why I had it come in here sooner. This was hands-down the best Chinese food I've had probably ever don't snooze on the egg rolls. They are cooked perfectly and crunchy without being greasy. I ordered sesame, chicken and chicken, lo mein, crab ragoon, not to be confused with crab raccoon , brown rice and everything was perfect. I will definitely be coming back here.

Yelp
Waiting for my order, we'll see. I'm hopeful and hungry! Fried dumpling was nice General tofu pretty good. Soft and flavorful Broccoli with sauce in the side...didn't think it would come this way but it was good. Chicken wing was okay. So first time there I would go back to try other options. The place was clean and the folks pleasant. .

Yelp
Great food. Great service. Very friendly staff. I've been here several times since moving to this area a few months ago. Everything has been great. The pad Thai, General Tso's, and Spicy Thai Curry is my favorite so far, but it's all good, and they're all pretty large serving sizes with reasonable prices. The ambiance is good too. I like the decorations on the inside and they have some soothing classical music playing all the time.

Yelp
I wish I had recorded the entry walk-in--the sounds of smooth classical music played in the background. SUPER PAN ASIAN food was beautifully prepared. I love the fried chicken wings. The young hostess was friendly, and I serviced my order within 10 minutes, placing the order by phone.

Quan S.

Yelp
Their wings are maybe a little bigger than the size of your thumb, yet they charge more than the average restaurant. You'd get more bang for your buck elsewhere.

Naomi C.

Yelp
Ordered Mongolian Beef. There is no notation of the dish being spicy. When it arrived it was so spicy I could not eat it. When I called asking for a replacement, the staff argued with me and hung up on me. Customer Service is non existent at this restaurant. Ride behavior is abundant.

Yelp
This place is great Every time we've ordered from here they are fast and the food is fresh and tastes great! Very happy we found a solid Asian place near us. We have not dined in but the take out has never disappointed.

Yelp
Food is really tasty. Was cooked just right. Nice restaurant ambience that makes you feel like you're in China.

Yelp
First Asian cuisine I've tried in South Carolina and I couldn't be happier. The food was fresh , plentiful and delicious ! I will definitely be a steady customer as long as they maintain the standards I received tonight. Can't wait to try some of their other dishes. Szechuan beef , Shrimp and scallops , boneless ribs all tasted fantastic! Thank you Super Pan !

Krystal G.

Yelp
Not worth the visit. Food was dry and bland. They forgot an order after waiting 30 minutes. I had to wait an additional 20 for it. I mean I don't expect much from places in this area, but it was so bad I left a review. It's why I try to stay out of transplant central.

Albert L.

Yelp
Food was dry , steak was extremely overcooked. Small portions. Order was wrong , only gave us 2 spring rolls we ordered 4. Gave us fried rice though we ordered white rice. There are better options than here don't waste your time

Jorael W.

Yelp
This was my first time visiting (super pan Asian cuisine). The environment was super clean. Staff was very friendly and the food was fresh and crisp. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant.

Fred G.

Yelp
Tried this place for the first Time. The food was ok. Not great. Not bad. No real flavor. Maybe a bad night or maybe just me. I've had better

Nicholas H.

Yelp
This was my first time trying Super Pan and I'm well impressed the food is incredible. Tried the Chicken Lo Mein and Yellow Curry with Beef consider me a happy returning customer. Service was amazing lady in the front is super helpful and amazing. They are pretty quick for food to come out. Ambiance is just right it's well decorated and probably one of the best places I've been too around here. 10/10 will return.

Yelp
My go-to Chinese dish is General Tso's Tofu. I always get it when I eat Asian food, and usually I get mixed results. That being said, Super Pan Asian Cuisine made the BEST General Tso's Tofu I've ever eaten. Crispy tofu, crunchy broccoli, and just the right spice level. They even had brown rice, which can be hard to find. The atmosphere was clean and pleasant - can't wait to come back!
