"A longstanding karaoke hang that catered to Valley regulars who wanted to avoid fancy mixology and $10 draft craft beers, Sardo’s closed earlier this summer after rising costs and a downturn in business, and ownership even penned a heartfelt goodbye letter to its fans." - Eater Staff

Google
The food is fantastic! Great pizza, salads, garlic knots and sandwiches! Last night I had the new Chicken Cutlet Sandwich! It was a big slice of chicken cutlet between two slices of Sicilian pizza! Unbelievable! My wife had the Italian cold cuts hero which she loves and it never disappoints! If you’ve never been here you’re missing out on some fantastic food at reasonable prices! Great food and great employees!

Google
The food was delicious. I had the Chicken cutlet sandwich ( a delicious chicken cutlet between 2 slices of Sicilian pizza) My wife had a Ham and Cheese Roll . We got a chicken cutlet Cesar salad sandwich to go. (I ate 1/2 of that before I even left the restaurant) Great food Great owner that runs it. Highly recommend

So glad I finally got a chance to visit here. I was drawn to this place with all the recent social media hype with the Fonze appearance and the owner getting the opportunity to meet his childhood hero and feed him. I was hoping to get a glimpse of the owner but he wasn't there during my visit. Wasn't really sure what I wanted until I saw the incredible looking strombolis. The meatball stromboli was literally calling out my name so I had no choice. I grabbed a water and got lucky to find an empty booth. The place was full of patrons on a Wednesday afternoon around 2pm. That says something for sure. The meatball stromboli was delivered to my table hot and fresh. It was a tad dark on the underside but it was still delicious! The accompanying marinara sauce was perfect. Just the right amount although I used up every bit of it.. I was sad when it was all gone but I was left fully satisfied. There's a lot of love that goes into this place and you can feel it from the moment you walk in. I can't wait to come back. Bravo, Sardo's! Bravo!

Google
Cute place, nice staff and amazing pizza! We had the stuffed meat, meatball sliders, arancini and chicken cutlet roll. Everything was delicious!

Google
I went here on the recommendation of the MJ morning show. I am glad I did. Very NY pizzeria feel the owner was super cool. He let me try something he was making while I waited for my togo pizza. I wish Ihad the time to eat in, but I crushed the pizza during my work day. It totally hit the spot for a NY pie. Definitely will return to eat in house. Thank you Super Sardos!

Google
My quick stop at this New York-style pizza joint was a total win, proving it’s the right place to go for a killer slice. The vibe hit immediately—bustling, no-frills, with that classic pizzeria energy where you’re in and out but leave happy. The pizza was everything you’d hope for: thin, crispy crust with just the right chew, sauce tangy and balanced, and cheese that stretches for days. Whether I grabbed a classic pepperoni or a loaded veggie slice, each bite was perfection, greasy in the best way possible. The crew was a standout—friendly, fast, and working like a well-oiled machine. They slung pies with smiles, cracking jokes while keeping the line moving, making the quick service feel personal. The locals added to the charm, chatting about everything from sports to the best slice combos, their banter giving the place a warm, community feel. It’s the kind of spot where you’re a regular by your second visit. Despite being a grab-and-go setup, the place was clean, with a few stools for a quick sit-down. My only wish? A bit more space to linger. Still, for a fast, delicious slice with great people, it’s hard to beat. I left full, happy, and already planning my next stop.

Google
Just tried Sardo’s for the first time - Grandma Style. Absolutely delicious. We also sprung for some meatball sliders and those meatballs are freshly made in house for sure. Highly recommend and can’t wait to try a lot more from this place.

Google
First of all, the owner and his family are really nice, down to earth people. You can tell food is their passion. They are very friendly to their customers, like to have a good laugh. My family and I visited from Houston, decided to stop in and give it a try, and boy, was it good. Seriously, some of the best pizza I've ever had. My wife also got their Bernie sandwich, OMG 😲 it was good. The chicken had a very good flavor and was moist. The bread and marinara sauce tastes like it was homemade. I'm not sure if it was or not, but it definitely tastes like it was. Their small pizza is big enough to feed 4 people. I got a cheese pizza and a couple of other slices that I can't remember but were super delicious. You will not be disappointed. I'm definitely going to go back before we head back home!

Yelp
First, I realize this place has lots of fans and regulars. I went there multiple times to make sure I was getting it right; my tasting experience...I wanted to be fair so here it is... First visit: 2 pizzas; both overcooked on the bottom (carbon taste in my mouth); not sure if the oven was dirty or overcooked or both. Bummer because I love good pizza. Second visit: 2 pizzas; I wanted to try a grandma pie because my memory of eating them in Brooklyn is a happy one - a pan style pie thinner than a sicilian pie but with a tender dough, a delicate sauce on top of the cheese, so good I could cry! Sardo's literally destroyed my wonderful memories of grandma pies in Brooklyn! Sardo's grandma pie is a terrible dough that wants to be a sicilian pie but would insult any true sicilian; the sauce was actually pretty good and the cheese appeared to be "pearls" or that style and not applied Brooklyn-style at all. This grandma pie made me cry for the wrong reasons and for that I must give Sardo's one star for disrespecting a Brooklyn staple! This is a self service restaurant. (Think Culver's...) There are ample booths inside and too many Soprano's posters; but I came for the food. Rest in peace, James.

Yelp
I've been coming to Sardos every so often for several years on my lunch break. They have reasonably priced lunch deals and quick service! The owner is usually around and warning: he will yell at you if you request ranch with your pizza. But it's all in good fun, he's a really nice guy. I really like the sauce and Brooklyn style crust. I wish the pepperoni got a little bit crispier but that's my only 2 cents. Definitely love supporting a local family business. I'll keep coming back!
google avatar

Patricia F.

Yelp
The food got worse and worse and the guy who owns it is not a nice guy. I stopped giving him my money, I got tired of being sneered at every time we came in.
google avatar

Ally A.

Yelp
Super Sardo's has zeppole! You heard correctly. This is all you need to know because nobody has zeppole in Pinellas! We love the pizza and hero sandwiches. The food tastes just like home to us New Yorkers. The only negative is they no longer have fountain sodas.
google avatar

Beth W.

Yelp
Yummmmm! I love a fully loaded pizza and the Mediterranean + sausage is exceptional! I only wish it came with marinara sauce. Lots of veggies and the sausage is delicious! Nicely done!
google avatar

Michael F.

Yelp
Love the pizza but do not leave a constructive negative review because the owner will blast you on social media. Not a deal breaker for me but not ideal customer service or feedback.
google avatar

Eggert K.

Yelp
Pizza was average and the sauce was generic needs move flavor. Customer service was good.
google avatar

Portia W.

Yelp
Freshest pizza I've ever eaten!!! Spinach rolls off the charts all fresh ingredients and amazing! So glad we came here can't to try the Calzones and Rice balls when we return. Plenty of food to share! Portions are large and so delicious!!!!
google avatar

Randal M.

Yelp
Every time we come to Florida to visit relatives, we always go to Sardo's Pizza! It's the real deal Brooklyn style pizza you can't go wrong and the garlic twists rolls are to die for!
google avatar

Jacqueline O.

Yelp
Always so good! I've been going to Sardos since he had a place in Seminole mall. Seriously The Best Pizza and the Ingredients so fresh! Service is Always Great! If you want the Best check it out!! I order a white pizza and add spinach and garlic OMG and I even add a personal pie Best of both worlds.
google avatar

Diane H.

Yelp
I've left a few reviews for this place before, but I never posted pictures. there are lots of neighborhood arguments over who has the best pizza in the area and it truly just comes down to where you are from and what you grew up with. If you are from New York, New Jersey Connecticut area and this is the place for you.
google avatar

Susan L.

Yelp
My husband and I had been in the Tampa area for eight months after we lost everything when Helene hit, and we've been missing our favorite pizza joint. Santo and his staff did not disappoint - my Bianca slices were yummy, as was my husband's two slices of cheese pizza. They're not two huge slices, more like four slices of John's pizza in the West Village, NYC. The fritter and Zepollis were outrageous, and you know we'll be back soon!!
google avatar

Chris L.

Yelp
This is Brooklyn in Florida. By the way the owner talks to people to the food- only place I've found that I can fold my slice and eat it like in Brooklyn. The sauce and pizza brought me back. Salute!

Jack S.

Yelp
They make it very clear that they are conservative business. They have flyers by the register for conservative Republicans and they have Christian quotes all over their pizza boxes. I don't understand why they have to push their religious and political beliefs on their customers. We didn't feel welcomed so we won't be returning even though their pizza is good if you get it by the slice.
google avatar

The Food Critic L.

Yelp
I'm not sure if Sardos sold the business or passed away. I hope not, however, the meatballs were white. White how do you have a white meatball? I use to get the sliders regularly and they were brown, soft and gooey with cheese and a thick flavourful sauce. Not anymore! We ordered a large pizza which was under cooked and the sauce was basically tomato sauce thinned out with water no seasoning. What in the world happened? I had not been in, in about a year due to moving so I was excited to go in today. Bad idea. Either way its not worth $30 and we left the slider that was left and took the pizza home to doctor it up and we will not be back. It used to be so good! That was awful and when we tried to talk to the girl she didn't care and became a little defensive. It was gross. Worse meatball I've ever had!
google avatar

Vincent C.

Yelp
This place is just awesome. It has the old school NYC pizzeria vibe and everything was on point. The owner and his staff are great. Have yet to have 1 bad meal there.

Melissa S.

Yelp
Cute place and nice staff. The stuffed meat pizza is SO delicious and could feed a small army!

Logyn D.

Yelp
A little taste of home. Absolutely delicious! Friendly New Yorkers fill the building. You can tell each customer comes in at least once a week because the owner is busy catching up with everyone. Love the old photos telling a story of the life of the owner too! Walk up to the counter, order and enjoy a family restaurant

Jacko J.

Yelp
NY to the core. Fabulous authentic NY and Grandma pies. Been there twice this week on vacation because it's hard to find this quality of pizza in Chicago area. Owner is a solid guy. Always interacting with customers on a personal level. He came over and gave my grandkids 2 free brownies. On my way out the door he told me I'm a great father...I was so taken back I didn't even correct him and mention I'm their Grandpa, lol. If I lived here I'd def be a regular. Do yourself a favor and check out Super Sardo's.
google avatar

Vanesa L.

Yelp
Amazing pizza in Largo, FL. Small seating area but great service and the pizza is delicious and close to my dad's recipe. Can't wait to visit the area again to go back!
google avatar

Julia P.

Yelp
The food is perfect every time. Quality hasn't gone down and he even adds the little extra garlic knots to the pizza without ordering them as appreciation and kindness. The inside is smaller with enough tables for a group and there is an outside patio. They are on top with customer service and always busy. You can call to order ahead and you'll get a number and they will have it up for you on the counter after checkout. Cannolis are made with the love, the crust is just as good as the whole pizza and the garlic knots are the perfect amount of garlic. Support local and get Sardos.

Grant R.

Yelp
Sardo's doesn't only have great pizza and salads, the meatball sliders, roll ups and slices made ready to go items are great too. Wings and spaghetti for a larger appetite but we usually stick with the salad or a sandwich on their delicious homemade Sardo bread! But the best thing about the place is Sardo himself. The guy goes out of his way for the community supporting multiple events, charities and law enforcement. There is outside seating and delivery but I recommend you sit inside and enjoy displays of his family, travels along with a bunch New York and sports memorabilia. If Sardo is there, you can't miss the banter and jokes being made behind the counter when dining in. You'll have a few laughs and feel like you're dining in the house as a friend in a local NY restaurant, just dont ask for a fork and knife for a slice of pie if you're the shy type. Heck, he even walks out and gives the kids a treat sometimes when they are there. My friends or family always enjoy good food and occasionally great laughs and humor it's a place you want to try and will be glad you did!

Jennifer E.

Yelp
This is the most MAGA obnoxious restaurant in Indian Rocks! The food is fresh but nothing to write home about and certainly not a place I would frequent regularly. The owner is a loud vial human being but his staff is decent because they are mainly subservient. If you're desperate hit this place up otherwise keep on driving you're not missing anything. Pizza Pizza
google avatar

Glenn G.

Yelp
This is the absolute best pizza joint in the county! Everything I have ever ordered comes out hot, fresh and delicious. The owner is always present and engaged in the operation and it shows. I love their Sicilian pizza, their sausage is great, their meatball sliders are amazing. I always eat too much when I dine at Sardo's but it's sooo worth it. This place will never ever disappoint!
google avatar

Barbara A.

Yelp
Ordered meatball calzone and a super calzone both were luke warm. Cheese wasn't even melted. My friend sent his back to get reheated. I have to say I've had better elsewhere. Probably won't go back since I don't live in the area. Merry Christmas
google avatar

Chris L.

Yelp
Best pizza I've found in Florida. Great NY pie, but also great knots, meatballs, rolls, and sandwiches. Transports you to Brooklyn when you're in there. Lots of character, everything is fresh, ingredients and ratios are perfect. I'm from Chicago (no, deep dish isn't the only pizza we eat), and this is the best slice I've found outside of NYC itself. Do yourself and your whole family a favor, and head in for a great meal. The stuffed and the bianca are amazing. Get a couple of meatball sliders as well, they put them on their garlic knots. Santo, the owner is such a good guy, such a character, takes the food and the whole experience very seriously,, and has a huge heart, and gives back to the community. Can't do better than this place.

Vincent C.

Yelp
Pizza is Meh....no biggie. Overpriced and a big dissapointment, and that before you even get to this clowns attitude. Owner suffers from Napoleon sundrome and thinks he is the cat's meow. More like what the cat leaves in the box. Cristinos is much beter and Rizzottos is very good as well. No biggie.......
google avatar

Shirley F.

Yelp
Best NY Pizza and cannolis. I get delivery which is great. I enjoy delivery service so I can't say about ambiance. I get this food for visitors on Friday or Saturday.
google avatar

Tracey D.

Yelp
Yummy pizza and the owner is hysterically funny. Great place for a work lunch. The staff are super friendly and the restaurant is clean and very busy.
google avatar

Paul C.

Yelp
Four stars for the food, which was good, but subtract two stars for that fact thr next day my credit card identity was scammed and I had multiple charges show up for best buy, Gloria's and some other places I've never been to. This card is rarely used so I know the theft happened as a result of the purchase at sardos. Fact. My cc company took care of it all but I won't be back to sardos.

Laura F.

Yelp
I came in to place a to-go order and, despite four people at the counter, including the owner, no one acknowledged me for at least 2 minutes. One person was taking an order, another was counting money, and the owner was speaking with another employee who was about to leave. I ordered six garlic knots, but when I started eating, I found a long, fuzzy dog hair in one. I didn't make a big deal--I just asked for an exchange. The owner's comment, "I knew this was going to happen," left me confused. He insisted the hair wasn't from anyone there because everyone was bald, though I simply pointed out it was a dog hair, and I don't even own a dog. While he gave me two extra garlic knots, his attitude was rude and dismissive. The food is good, but I can't support a place where I was treated so poorly.

Shell K.

Yelp
This is the best Italian I have found in eight years of living in Largo and the people are so accommodating. They just updated and it is beautiful. I love the homemade ravioli and the Stromboli and everything. It's awesome. You've gotta try itI love this place. The family is top notch. so glad that they are Maga business owners I'm getting ready to order a meat Stromboli right now. maga alllll the way
google avatar

Michele R.

Yelp
Stopped in this evening for the first time and we were not disappointed! Being from NY it's hard to find good NY style pizza, but Sardo's was delicious! Thin, light crust and good flavor. Staff was really friendly and we loved the nostalgic interior of the restaurant. We will be back!!
google avatar

Lexie L.

Yelp
Overall pretty good pizza while on vacation! We also got the plain boneless chicken, mozzarella sticks, & risotto balls. The only pizza we weren't the biggest fans of was the Chicken Alfredo pizza. We assumed it would be broccoli on it not spinach but that's on us. But the issue with it was the chicken...tastes like frozen grilled chicken from a bag. Once we picked that off the rest of the pizza was flavorful. It was pretty quick too, 20 minutes for a big order.
google avatar

Michelle B.

Yelp
My dad and his family grew up Brooklyn. He went to college in Italy so pizza is one of his favorite things to bring home for the family to share. I love pizza because of it. And... I just love pizza! I got a large half cheese and half pepperoni mushrooms. Both halves were tasty! I'm going to bring a couple of pies for my family to try and I know it'll be a hit! The calzones are next on my list to try! Someone told me they are the best in the area. So we shall see!! The restaurant is clean with bench seating. The young lady who took my order and rang me up was so sweet and friendly! She recommended the chocolate chip brownies and it's definitely something you want to grab before you ring up your order! Yumm!!

Scott S.

Yelp
Family from out of town looking for good pizza. Super Sardo's Pizza was amazing. True New York style. Would highly recommended.

Madleine B.

Yelp
My favorite pizza place around!! The pizza slices are massive, yummy, and cheap!! Lunch special 2 slices and drink is like $7.99ish. Super cute inside- family owned and they care for their customers!
google avatar

Frank M.

Yelp
Always great food and prices. Only recommendation- put more of your delicious pizza sauce on the pizza - especially the Sicilian pizza- it was a little dry for my liking.
google avatar

Alan W.

Yelp
I'm from NJ & NY, & have tried so many pizzas in so many places. I recognize that every pizza place will generate a spectrum of opinions. My motto is "pizza is in the mouth of the beholder". Ok, so I actually just came up with that now. Anyway, I see the many fantastic reviews for Sardo's, but I'm just not feeling it. Again everyone has different opinions. For me it was just average. The dough & crust were actually very much like what I get in New York. The sauce though had no flavor, except for its saltiness. The cheese was dull as well. So the dough was awesome, but what sits on the dough missed the mark big time for me. But again, there are many others who have reviewed Sardo's & loved it. Did I mention "pizza is in the mouth of the beholder"?
google avatar

Robin F.

Yelp
My friend was staying on Ulmerton road and we got hungry. I looked on Yelp of course since I wanted something Italian. Super Sardo's was 2 blocks away and the reviews were great..and right!! I got a Meatball Roll, like a stromboli. The meat was cooked perfectly and there was plenty mozzarella on it and the crust was crispy. My friend got a small Italian salad which she raved about. The pizza looked just like NY pizza- I'll be going back here soon. The family is from my hometown in Brooklyn!

Karla S.

Yelp
After a long day at the beach, we decided to get some pizza and this place came out as one of the best pizza places in the area. Those who have had beach pizza know it's usually subpar. It's good geared towards tourists, not residents of the area. Super Sardo's Pizza is different. They don't do delivery to the beachside (a good sign: it means they rely on the business of those who DO live in the gulf coast area) so we had to drive to pick it up. Fifteen minutes later, we were enjoying delicious New York style pizza. They tout on their box that the pizza is made with fresh ingredients and tastes as good the next day as when it was freshly purchased. I can confirm this. The ingredients were as fresh and the drizzly cheese on the slices the next day and we enjoyed the pizza just as much. This pizza is fresh, delicious, and a wonderful way pick up choice after a long day at the beach. If you get a chance, do yourself a favor and get some real good New York style pizza.
google avatar

Mike F.

Yelp
I ordered, and paid for (from their menu) a 19" cheese pizza. Received a 17-18" pizza in an 18" box (clearly marked on bottom.) Sent fb message, no reply. Added fb comment, blocked. lol Fraud. Change your menu, this ain't the Bronx.

Natalie C.

Yelp
We love Sardos and it's our go to spot every Friday night! It's family owned and it shows. The pizza is incredible and the take out and delivery services are top notch and the staff are so great!

Laura C.

Yelp
Soggy and tasteless!!! At least that was how it came delivered Brooklyn Style Pizza. Not good

Barry F.

Yelp
First time trying the place out . We got some slices ( meatball, plain cheese and eggplant) being from NY Long Island I know NY Pizza and this did not disappoint us It was delicious. The service was great . We talked to the owners daughter . We will definitely be back to try out more stuff. Love all the decorations and memorabilia on the walls .

Yelp
10839 Ulmerton, Road Largo, FL 33778 Friday , October 21, 2022 Greeted by Friendly Staff Establishment Clean / Comfortable Interior Temperature No Line / No Waiting at This Time Arrived & Ordered at Counter: 4:50pm Server was friendly, helpful & knowledgeable about food being offered. We're new to the area and was happy to find a pizza place we can call a must-eat. I ordered 6 Garlic Knots and a slice of Black Olive & Mushroom pizza. Authentic New York pizza taste in every bite. Can't wait to go back for seconds. If you're looking for authentic New York pizza, stop in here. You've found it.

Yelp
I love a place that is as actually authentic as they claim to be. Too many fakes out there. NOT this place though. Holy cow this is real BROOKLYN style pizza! Not just some fake "NY" pizza no sir this is the REAL deal. I think the owners name is Santo Sardo, what a guy! I'm not sure if he was actually working there but you can tell from the folks at work that they are awesome at what they do and it shows in the quality. It's nice when I see adults working at a place like this that really care about their product not just some HS kiddies making some pocket change. Anyhow I highly recommend this for pizza, it's molto bene!
