I stop by today, let me tell you., I had Mexican food all around Bridgeport and other towns..and I’m surprised how delicious the food was…while I waited for my order the owner send to my table a tortilla with rice meat salsa very delicious..best red sauce super delicious!!!, the tacos were amazing but I was blown away by the pork adobado meat very flavorful and the beans with rice also. I will make this my only Mexican spot from now on.

I've never written a review until now, because well, the food was delicious and the service was 12/10. The food and service was well worth it! Food was plentiful, tasty, and cheap! My son loved his carne burrito and said that it was the best burrito he had ever eaten-he said he could taste the flavors in each bite. He also liked the fact that they toasted the outside of the burrito on the flattop, giving it a nice crunch. The carnitas in my El Bukis was moist and tender and tortillas they came with it were piping hot. The man who took our order (the owner?) was so friendly, he gave us tostados and a tamarind drink to try, on the house. We were visiting from NYC (where Mexican food is plentiful) and after this meal, my son and I were talking about driving the hour plus drive back to eat here again. It's clearly a small business, so we want to do our part to keep them going. If you're craving Mexican food, and in the Milford area or heading to New Haven, definitely put it on the top of your list. It is worth it.

Very good food. It's very popular among the locals, as there was a brisk take-out business going on. I'll be sure to stop back in if I'm ever in town again. They're not joking about the generous portions - the appetizer they gave me was a whole tostada. The interior is small, seating perhaps 12. No public bathrooms.

Owner Don Chava was extremely friendly and welcoming. We had Nachos, order of tacos of Carnitas, El Buki order and Torta. Aguas frescas of Horchata and Tamarido, very refreshing. This is authentic Mexican food! Carnitas are delicious just like the ones from Michoacán. Strongly recommended, every bite had an amazing flavor!

100% authentic Mexican tacos! Loved the variety of tacos, freshness and friendly service. Homemade horchata and consomé dipping sauce were both excellent as well! Prices are not as cheap as stated in previous reviews but decently priced for the portioned (see menu). Area nearby is not the best but great spot to drop in and take away.

I was craving tacos and did not expect to find such a TREASURE in CT. The service was so amazing, guy even gave us a gastino so nice! The BEST Horchata EVER (even better than L.A) and the tamarind aqua was also amazingg!!!! I got 5 tacos each different, i forgot the name but some sort of mixed pork was the best omg I dream about more, they were the "small tacos" but still so much taco 😋😋 ABSOLUTELY coming back and try this place if you havent already!!

Service was really great, excellent, above and beyond. Food was delicious. I ordered the 5 tacos for $12 they were served with rice and beans. My boyfriend ordered steak which also was served with rice and beans. We had an horchata, a jamaica 2 cokes and coffee and honestly everything Food and drinks was great. I would definitely go back there to eat. I recommend this %100 . 👍

Came here right before picking up my daughter from the college nearby. We found street parking right out front. The dinning area is small and there is no public restroom. The workers were very friendly and hospitable. We were given some tortillas with saucy carnita on top, it was very flavorful. I like how the menu has 5 mini tacos for only $11. This is perfect for sharing with kids. We got multiple orders chicken, carnita, and steak tacos. It came with rice and beans. They threw in a churro stick, so yummy. The tacos here are authentic, affordable, and flavorful. The service makes you feel at home. I'd definitely come back.

I would love to come back here! The tacos tasted great. Very fresh and well made. We ordered some chicken steak and chicharon tacos. The service was really friendly. And they gave us samples of some of the food they had. This taco spot is what I would describe as cozy. Very home style in decor. I look forward to coming back here!

I've wanted to try Super Taqueria for a while and I absolutely loved it. Super T is more functional and small than it is a sit down restaurant, but there are some places to eat inside. I was in a hurry and didn't pay much attention to the menu, but it seemed like they had a good number of traditional taqueria options. I ordered a Pastor Taco, a Chorizo Taco and an Asada Taco. While they were fresh-making the tacos, they brought me a complimentary tostada! Loved that they did that! So nice! The tacos were terrific. First of all, they were stuffed. Most great taquerias in CT selling tacos at this reasonable price point, don't fill them so full. But it doesn't matter if the filling isn't great. Each taco was great. The meats. The toppings of onions and cilantro. The hot sauces they give you. All delicious. Some of the best tacos I've had this year, and I've eaten my share of tacos at 4.5 Yelp Star and up places this year. I didn't realize the tacos would come with rice and beans. I was actually going to a food event after I left Super T, but I tried the refried beans. Very good. I don't live near Bridgeport, but I'll be sneaking over to Super Taqueria every chance I get. 5 Stars

Best in Connecticut. Incredible authentic food and such a kind and caring staff. We tried the tacos carnitas, adobada, pastor with rice and beans. They also gave us a sample of nachos carnitas to try and we loved how flavorful it was and how the nachos were hot and crispy. The dishes had a perfect amount of spice and all the flavor. We dined in and it was nice as we like places that are chill and not crowded. Also, the way they fried the jalapeños makes them so irresistible to eat on their own - and in general I don't usually go for spicy things but that is how good everything on the plate is there. Don't get us started on the churros. Again, kudos to the lovely owner. I hope it doesn't get too busy when people discover how great this place is.

This place has one of the best tacos I've ever had in my life. I'm not the type to write of a review but I can say a lot of things about this place. Me and my boyfriend come here all the time whenever we're close the owner is very nice. He always gives us a sample plate of nachos if we're ever caught waiting for food, which I think it's very nice of him and very generous that someone would even do that. We always get the tacos and I would say it is the most flavorful taco that I ever had. I feel like it's taking a bite into Mexico I also love how theres lots of memes on walls and you can read them while you're waiting 10/10

The family that serves are nice, friendly people who are proud of there food and roots. I personally love la torta de carnitas. It is filling and deliciously prepared. One can tell it is made with love. The location isn't the best but once inside all of that changes!

Just stopped here for the first time. Ordered the nachos with chorizo. I was given a free tostada while I waited - greatly appreciated and enjoyed! The food was excellent.

Stopped by for the first time today due to such positive online reviews. We were given tostadas while we waited for our tacos, and the owner let me try some horchata and agua de jamaica (both very good). The tacos are great and the portions are very generous. Our baby loved the rice and beans!

Blew me away! 5/5 Best tacos I've had, because the meat is so good and the tacos come with loads of vegetables (cucumber, tomato, cabbage, onions, cilantro). I love all those extra veggies. Great salsa too (several choices) I got the carnitas (pork) and the meat is nice and juicy. Also grab a smoothie, man they are good too. I tried strawberry and mango. I like strawberry better because it seems they put more fruit in the strawberry one. Only two tables and one high-table. Not good for groups unless there's an open table. Friendly owners, prompt service with a smile.

I haven't been here since before the pandemic. Yesterday we ordered 15 tacos-Carnitas and Al Pastor-and once again they were fantastic, cheap and packed with high quality pork. It was ready in 20 minutes, and the owner even texted me when it was ready. Cash only*** Good to know!

I love that I found this place! 7You will find authentic Mexican tacos! The owner was super sweet, he gave me a tostada to munch on while I waited on my order. The tortillas are done from scratch, the carnitas and chicharron tacos melt in your mouth. I also had an order of steak nachos DELISH! Can't wait to go again.

Tried this place for the first time seemed ok. 4 hours later post pork carnitas I became VERY SICK (I'll leave it up to you imagination what very sick means).

This hole in the wall serves up a great selection of tacos and other Mexican dishes. Location is not the most accommodating. However, if you are seeking a good taco spot this place should not be missed. It beats driving all the way to New Haven for the taco trucks. The owner actually has a truck in Norwalk but this is where the major cooking is performed. As such, I prefer to go to the store front versus the truck. In my opinion, the best item is the large chunks of carnitas (a little fatty but worth having for flavor). I usually visit this place early afternoon since the carnitas finish cooking around 1pm. In addition, I order a freshly squeezed lemonade that good enough to quench the fiery salsas or when available, a horchata. If you like heat, ask for the extremely hot sauce. This establishment is not a casa villa style restaurant. You will get true Mexican cuisine (no tex-mex or Tijuana drinks). You will have paper plates, plastic utensils, etc. No alcohol served but you can bring a beer to enjoy. Should you be able to get past this and the location, this restaurant is authentic and most importantly delicious.

The best Mexican food ever... I am here again for my second day in a row. Life changing experience from such a small place. I took one bite and was immediately transported to Mexico.

"Wow" level good food here. We stayed to eat and we got complimentary tostado. My bf ordered 2 tacos but they gave him 3, an extra free. Good call, he needed a third. He said they were banging. My quesadilla was so good too. The sauces they make are delicious. Fresh, made to order. We will definitely eat here again. It's mostly a takeout place but there's a few tables in the front you can maybe grab a spot at. It's not a sit-down place with table service. The only thing I could complain about is the location. The area isn't the greatest. Wouldn't stop me from popping in when I use the port Jeff/Bridgeport ferry though.

Finally, no longer need to wait for my trips to southern Cal for tacos that are satisfying. Salsas made with that homemade style which many try to mimic and fail. This is my go to spot whenever in Fairfield County, CT and seeking authentic socal mexican food. Carnitas along with a horchata are delicious.

I can't say enough good things about this place. We stopped off here on our way through town without having a plan on what to order. We got amazing recommendations, the food was wonderful, and the person who took our order was so kind and happy to help. Thank you for one of the best meals we've had in a long time!

My husband brought home takeout from here tonight and the food exceeded all of our expectations. Everything was cooked & spiced perfectly - we didn't have one less-than-perfect bite between us. Highly recommend to any Mexican food lover - it's the best we've had.

Definitely try this spot! I ordered some takeout on a whim about a month ago and now I've think I've had it four or five times since. Food is fresh and made to perfection! You can tell the chef has a passion for it and puts love into his or her cooking! The prices are also fantastic. What a hidden gem!

Legit the best Mexican food in Ffld County, maybe even the state. I'm addicted to tacos in general so I've tried them from so many places, trying to match that West Coast flavor, and this place still reigns as the king. Literally everything you can order here is incredible. Authentic as you can get with big portions for a small price. Everyone needs to try this food. For first timers, I would recommend the 5 taco combo. If you are feeling adventurous, get the Carnitas Michoacán meal, or an order of Sopes Al Pastor. No matter what, you are going to be full and happy after eating here.

Amazing food! We are never disappointed with the taste, the amount or the service. The owner is wonderful and if you have to wait for your order he will give you a drink and a snack on the house while you wait. We recommend carnitas tacos , carne asada burrito, and the nachos. AMAZING!! We keep going back every weekend for more. Yummy!

If I could give 0 stars I would. We wanted to try a new place for tacos, I sent my father to purchase and he asked for the special 5 for $8.50. We purchased only 10 tacos and 3 other things and the total came out to $67. My dad did not question it but I did when he got home. I called in and he said he explained to my father there is different sizes and different meats. My dad said he never once explained any of that to him or else he would've called me to ask. I would have figured they would cater to new clients instead of ripping them off. Definitely will not be returning. I've had much better tacos at other business in the area.

Wow! We ordered through Uber eats based on the reviews and we were not disappointed. I ordered La Llorona and the three tacos with rice and beans was superb. It was so authentic...so much flavor. I couldn't believe it! The salsas were so good...the green one was so good and spicy. I recommend! 5 stars!

Really good food, the people are amazing. Honestly can't believe there isn't many people who know about this spot because the food isn't even comparable to the expensive taco spots in Fairfield or Westport.

I gave up Mexican food a few years ago. The Mexican restaurants in Connecticut were getting ridiculous with their prices for corn and flour tortillas along with rice and beans. Not to mention the "tableside" guacamole. I decided to give myself a break because I knew I wouldn't get one from Rio Bravo, OOLA, La bodega, etc. I'm driving down State St. In Bpt and I notice this small hole-in-the-wall restaurant "Taqueria". I ordered two pork skin tacos not even thinking about the price. The owner whose name is Salvador asked me if I wanted a tostada on the house while I waited for my tacos. I thought I didn't hear him correctly. Nowadays you have to pay extra for hot sauce at Drumstick and toppings at Subway. I thought I was in the late 70's early 80's so I was taken back but grateful that he offered. Salvador and his son are great businessmen. They know how to treat people in the best possible way. Their style of cooking is 100% authentic Mexican cuisine. A person can spend an entire day at "Tacqueria" without going broke. Cheap, authentic, flavorful, colorful and mouthwatering delicious. Taqueria is the definitive Mexican Restsurant. Located at 1154 State St Bpt, Ct. Right off exit 25 or 26 in I-95. The owner is a true Gentleman and runs a great food establishment. I wish him much success and plan to help him achieve that success by telling each and every one of you who are reading this review that you should not miss the experience of eating at Super Taqueria Las Salsas! It is OUTSTANDING!
