Super USA and Ed's deli

I bought four quarts of Blue Ribbon ice cream for about $10 each. If you’re planning to buy a gallon of ice cream, be prepared to spend around $40. I also purchased a sausage breakfast sandwich, and unfortunately it left a very strong, unpleasant smell on my breath. I wish I were exaggerating, but I ended up throwing it away.

Ed's Deli - If you can make it here weekdays between 8am-3pm, Ed is serving up some seriously flavorful dishes. I ordered the beef Shawarma sandwich and he offered up a sample of the chicken, which was delicious. The sauce on the beef, which makes it so tasty, also makes the sandwich a little messy, maybe a cleaner bowl if that matters to you. If you come after hours, there is a refrigerated section with deserts and some other delicacies. There are to stand up tables, and a picnic table outside, otherwise to-go.

Ed's Deli, inside the Super USA convenience store, makes some of the best Middle Eastern food that you'll find in the Twin Cities. I recently had their beef shawarma sandwich, and it was amazing. The meat is so well seasoned. The sandwich is made fresh right in front of you at the counter with fresh ingredients. They have to-go items that you can pick up as well. They had Falafels, tabouli, hummus, zaatar, pita chips, pizza, and many other items. Super friendly. Prices are more than reasonable.

I stopped in to do a service for the gas station today and as I drove up I saw their sign for sandwiches. It was a little past lunch and I was a bit hungry after completing my service of the gas station I just couldn't help myself I had to try something. I got a steak Shawarma it was amazing the meat was super flavorful and all the veggies in it were nice and fresh I'd definitely recommend you try this place out if you're thinking about. This was the first time I've have had a Shawarma I've have had a ton of gyros that the only thing I could somewhat compare to this but the Shawarma is like a gyro on steroids much better. The staff was super friendly and helpful in helping me pick out what to get for my first time. If I didn't live so far I'd probably be in once a week but that won't stop me from making special trips in the future to try out more of their food. Thanks Ed and everyone else working there keep up the great work.

Ed is nice and his food is delicious! Every employee I encountered here was so friendly! The deli is open only M-F for breakfast and lunch, but you can still buy tasty to-go items when the deli is closed. Love his hummus: it’s made with fresh lemon juice and really good! Other than the deli, this is a typical convenience store that sells everything you’d expect. If you’re looking for a fresh change to fast food… totally swing by this Super USA!

I just randomly came across this Super USA (and Ed’s Deli) on Larpenteur, off 280 and popped in to get some food (was thinking a bag of Doritos and a Gatorade). But then I see “Ed’s Deli” when I walked in there, which is like a Subway setup but a lot more eclectic and with better smells and a really friendly guy (Ed… the owner?) there. Well, no Doritos for me today, thankfully. I ordered a Beef Shawarma Wrap, extra spicy, and had a ton of fresh veggies added into it. And also got a Shish Taouk bowl (think chicken and garlic w/ an awesome dipping sauce)… so glad I have pictures to help me remember how to spell this stuff. I just did a lot of pointing. And as I was with my wife, we also got some Falafels and some house-made pita chips and hummus to round it out. Nowhere to eat it onsite, but that’s okay, didn’t expect a dining room at a Super USA. Very affordable (I think our total bill was like $30 for the 3 entrees). Ed and Mike (I think that was the other guy’s name?) were super friendly. Engaged us in conversation, helped us pick out the perfect lunch. How often do you chat with and exchange friendly banter with anyone in a Super USA or SA, etc.? It seemed like this is truly authentic Lebanese food, made by Lebanese-Americans, in a very cost-efficient, convenient place. All the locals probably know about this awesome find already, so sorry if a suburban interloper is ruining the secrecy of this place, but wow. What I wouldn’t give to have this place a mile away from me. I’d be a regular. We’re so glad we found this authentic food gem in a very unexpected place and will definitely be going back anytime we’re cruising up 280 around Larpenteur. Thanks, Ed and Mike. Keep on rockin’ that tasty, homemade-like authentic food for us. And keep being as friendly as you were today…. Such a rare find in today’s crazy take-out food environment we’re in. Gush gush gush… which I rarely do, unless warranted. But just go there to confirm how warranted my gushing is.

Finally had the chance to eat here today. Even after sitting in my car for 40 minutes this food was absolutely top notch. You have to try the pure garlic paste which is almost a whipped cream cheese consistency. This place is top notch. The staff was very friendly as well.

Some of the best food you’ll ever find. I get a chicken garlic sandwich every time I’m in the area.

Did you know you can get one of the best sandwiches in the metro inside a convenience store in Como? Ed's Deli, inside the Super USA, makes some of the best Lebanese food I've ever had. The kitchen is only open for breakfast and lunch service M-F, but if you stop by outside of those hours you can still grab stuff from the cold case! The pita chips ($3.99) are always a must for me, and I usually pair with the labneh ($4.99), a Lebanese yogurt chese, which is AMAZING but they were out today--but Ed was kind enough to give us a complimentary tub of the baba ganoush ($5.29) to try which was delicious!! My go-to here is always the chicken + garlic sandwich ($10). I've tried the bowl, I've tried the falafel, but that sandwich is just TOO good. Comes with lettuce, pickles, and fries on it, with the option to add jalapeños--and I always do! You can add a side of fries to any entree for $1.50 which is a steal--items all made to order, so the sandwich comes out fresh and the fries are hot and crispy every time! The food is best when it's fresh out of the kitchen; so it was really cool to see today that they've added a couple of tables--two small standing hi-tops in the store, and a couple of picnic tables outside. It may be unassuming from the outside, but don't be fooled--Ed's packs an absolute punch of flavor and is one of my favorite spots in the metro.

You can find Ed's Deli inside Super USA convenient store, and man what a surprise it was for me. Father and son team that are the most genuine and kindest people ever. I ordered quiet a few things, Zaatar Manoush, Meat Manoush, beef shawarma bowl, Sujoc pizza, hummus, taboule, and Ashta for dessert. I was planning on taking all of this to go, but I wanted to try a bite of the meat manoush, it was so good, i couldnt stop eating it. Little do you know, 10 minutes go by, and Im down a meat manoush, zaatar manoush, and ashta dessert. The food is obviously made fresh and made the right way. Im so glad I found Ed's Deli. Will 1000% come back alot more

A quick stop for snacks, oil etc ... and some great middle eastern food! A family affair. No seating , no atmosphere, but worth twice the price! Stand in line at the register to order! But ORDER! We had a Great meal, falafel wrap and the beef shawarma bowl with rice, & the baklava! Then drive to Como park to eat. Perfection. Even Big Fave had enough after working outside the whole morning! Easy access off of 280.

All the reviews and pictures show a section called Ed's Deli with Middle Eastern delights, but on a Saturday all I could find was various brands of sandwiches and wraps made from out of town, way out of town companies. Evidently the good stuff is made on the weekdays. Why couldn't they make some ahead and keep cool for the weekend? The sandwich I had was amazingly fresh although it was made by K F Foods of Green Bay. There is also a line of juices from Calypso which has exotic blends and a colorful bottle, but how exotic is a drink from Milwaukee? At any rate it was refreshing to see creative flavors of lemonade and limeade with peach or strawberry thrown in. The store is neat and clean and has all the basics of a gas station convenience store, except you can't buy gas. The owner seems friendly and I'll eventually try on a weekday to find the shawarma and other garlic infused delights.

From the outside you might be a little confused, as it looks just like a normal convenience store, but inside they have a little deli with great Middle Eastern food. I love the Beef Schwarma sandwich and the falafel.

Ed's is outstanding! I regret all the years I have gone by without going on. Ed's serves lunch M-F. Everything was well-seasoned and prepared with care. My personal favorite is the beef shawarma sandwich. It's so juicy and flavorful! The toppings complement the beef perfectly. The chicken shawarma is also delicious. The garlic sauce and fries perfectly complement the chicken. The meat pie I got was freshly baked and flavorful. The hummus is smooth and luscious. The pita chips have an outstanding crunch! Ed's, you are one of my favorite places in the Twin Cities!

Unreal gas station food! All prepared fresh. I got the chicken garlic shawarma sandwich with fries on the side. The fries are way too good to stuff in the sandwich. Get them on the side! And get extra pickle, the sandwich does need a little extra sodium (in my opinion). The garlic flavor is great! If I lived closer, I would be stocking my fridge with his garlic dip and pita chips. Get it there and eat at Ed's!

Wow! You know those little places tucked into convenience stores that are AMAZING? Yeah. Well this is one of them. That garlic sauce for the fries alone is five stars. Different specials from Ed all day long. I personally had the beef shawarma and it was outstanding. A lady ahead of me ordered the chicken and she ordered it like a regular. The place is budget and oh so delicious.

Great fresh Middle Eastern food! The owner was fantastically nice and is clearly passionate about the food and the business. Grab a bite here if you're looking for something quick to take on the go!

The chicken shish taouk sandwich (wrap) is so good!!! This is so close to my house, but it just never occurred to me to get lunch at the convenience store-- past-me really missed out.

Good middle eastern food, Good fries, good pizza. Reasonable prices for what you get in this day and age.

I understand why one may be skeptical when it comes to a take-out deli located inside a Super USA. Set those feelings aside, and check this out during lunch time. Ed's behind the counter, making all of the food himself. The falafel wrap is among the best I've had in the cities, but I think the true masterpiece is his hummus. We've been buying it to go, and we've been going through multiple containers each week. The stuff at the supermarket can't compare.

Deeeeee-liscious sandwiches! Lots of flavor and friendly staff. Never would have thought to come here for lunch hadn't others pointed it out with such enthusiasm. Going back this week!
