This place is so relaxing. Good yummy food with an array of snazzy tasty drinks. The atmosphere is all out doors and lovely during the summer weather. The views of the bay, easy parking and kid and doggie friendly. We often go here for a work team building as it's the ideal location.

Google
Our first time eating here. We had relatives visiting with a baby and we had a dog. This was an outdoor cafe that served drinks and food items. We went late Saturday afternoon just before sunset. The food was mediocre and expensive. It is a nice place to enjoy sunset and drinks & host visitors in town.

Google
Great place to relax, unwind, and enjoy beautiful views and delicious coffee at Superbloom! We loved our spirit of aloha and sandy beach lattes with the ube cookie. Friendly staff and not too long to wait for coffees even with a long line. Dog friendly seating and a lot of seats. Beautiful location with a bit of a wait but worth it. Recommend!

Google
I sometimes go here multiple times a week. The breakfast bagel is my favorite item. The aioli on it takes it to the next level. The potatoes exceeded my expectations!! They were so flavorful and could not stop eating them. Staff is always friendly and the vibes immaculate. I do avoid certain times on weekends due to the high volume of customers.

Google
On the lookout for coffee places while heading north of San Diego and this place popped up on the list. Set near water this place has a pretty cute vibe for relaxation. I forgot what I got unfortunately , the coffee itself was smooth. Nothing amazing for you to go out of the way for unless you want a nice view while sipping on some coffee though.

Google
We want to really like this place, but have twice now been hugely disappointed. Our experience has always involved at least a 30 minute queue, for what has turned out to be very over priced and disappointing food and coffee. The location and setting are the main selling point, so you're paying for the view - but imo it isn't worth the poorly managed queue and average food.

Google
Fantastic coffee/juice bar on the bay. The chai latte was perfect, and they have a good selection of pastries too. If I lived in SD, I would definitely come here all the time.

Google
Seasonal (cherry blossom) Matcha Latte was fantastic and the baristas were friendly and quick! Plenty of clean seating and a gorgeous beach waterfront to walk along (with several trash cans if you need to toss anything)☀️

Yelp
Is it overpriced? Yes. Is it cute as heck and in the most prime location for grabbing coffee on a bay walk? Also yes. So I will gladly wait in line and shell out $7+ for a specialty iced latte. It's okay, you can judge me. I love meeting up with friends here to grab coffee before we walk along the bay. The seating area is nice too, so if you're here on a nice day, you can soak up the sun with a book or a date (I've heard it's a good first date spot haha). Also, you can use a nice bathroom here rather than the questionable public ones along the bay. They have a rotating seasonal menu, which keeps things interesting if you come here often and like to try new things. Last time I tried the iced lavender white mocha, which was probably the best coffee drink I've had here so far. They also have happy hour and some special events, which I've been meaning to check out. While I would love if the drinks were a bit cheaper, Superbloom is really an excellent addition to this side of Mission Bay, and really a unique spot in the world of boujee San Diego coffee (of which I am an enthusiastic explorer).

Yelp
Superbloom is part of the Mission Bay Beach Club in San Diego. They are a casual cafe featuring locally roasted coffee, specialty drinks, and healthy food options. Their focus is on a healthy lifestyle (which should be easy, enjoyable, and delicious). I met up with a few friends to see their new babies and go for a walk in Sunny San Diego! I tried their Matcha Latte with oat milk and a one of their muffins. Service is quick and efficient. Can't complain about the environment... it's Sunny San Diego and by the water. Easy parking. Nice place for a stroll. Definitely enjoyable!!

Yelp
I'm surprised at the mixed reviews of this place, I had an amazing experience! I ordered an iced spirit of aloha drink. It had the perfect amount of sweetness and flavor. Not too sweet and hit the spot! I recommend this drink for all you coconut lovers out there. I wanted to order the tomato caprese sandwich, but they were out of pesto. I'm soo glad they were out because I ended up getting the turkey cranberry Brie sandwich. And wow. I was not expecting it to be that good. The bread was toasted perfectly and had a garlic butter taste to it. I absolutely loved it. The chips it came with was also delicious. It tasted so fresh. I was so impressed! Servers were quick and friendly with my drink. The food took a while. But it was worth the wait. I also came here on the weekend. Ambiance is beautiful. There's seating right off of mission bay. You can people watch, go on a date, journal. There's even a bar and cute little shop! This definitely won't be my last visit

Yelp
First time here. There was a bit of a line to order but there was plenty of parking and plenty of space to sit and enjoy the bay while drinking an iced coffee. Food came out quick and my coffee was exactly what I was hoping for. It was hot out but the bay breeze hit just right and they had plenty of libation options for those interested. Noise level was a little on the loud side as people had their dogs with them and they had a bridal party taking place at the same time.

Yelp
The location and the views here are wonderful! But the experience was underwhelming and that was expected based on reviews we read. This whole place is an outdoor place. Coming here on a weekend morning, the wait in line to order took +30 minutes. There isn't plenty of seating so I'd recommend for a member of your group to claim a table. The food took a while and you need to grab some napkins and plastic utensils since they won't bring those out to you. The breakfast plate was nothing spectacular. The eggs were average, the bacon had the texture of microwave turkey bacon, but I liked the bread with the jam. At the price of $14, the breakfast plate was kind of expensive. The matcha was okay, I tasted more milk than actual matcha.

Yelp
I've driven by so many times and am happy that I was finally able to check it out! First off, it's in a convenient location pretty much right off the freeway and in the middle of Mission Bay and it's hard to miss with its tall steeple. There is parking but all are marked as 1-hr parking although I'm not sure how strict they are about that. As you walk up, it's a cute outdoor area with seating, the coffee counter and wine shop in the indoor area. They really decorated it well with lots of flowers, wall succulents and different colors that made it welcoming. Their menu was pretty diverse and I especially liked the seasonal and specialty drinks. I ended up ordering the Spirit of Aloha latte. It was very good and not too sweet and the macadamia nut flavors were just the right potency. I also ordered the chocolate chip cookie warmed up and it was delicious! As for the other food, I will have to save that for another visit. Service here is pretty quick and the ladies at the counter were nice and gave some recommendations. The drinks themselves were made rather quickly and we were able to enjoy our afternoon hanging out on the patio with lovely views of the bay. Lastly, I was happy to discover they have happy hour here M-F from 4pm-close for $2 off beer/wine and free corkage from the bottle shop. Great idea to have a bottle shop here with options for wine tasting. I also noticed they have yoga on different days and hope to check that out soon. Really feeling this place and all that it has to offer.

Yelp
Super cute spot for a coffee and a chat outside by the bay! Adorable ambiance. Delicious latte! I had the island bliss. However, i would pass on the avocado toast. $13 for a thick piece of bread with barely any avocado on it. I couldn't even finish it :/ the bacon is thin microwave to eat type bacon. I would come back for a latte, but not again for food.

Yelp
Nice view but always hesitant to come here. Service continues to be slow. Today I had a large Americano and GF Biscuit Cookie for $14.49. The cookie was very dry and next time I will avoid GF. The week prior I had a biscuit and that was pretty good. I can't remember if it was GF but likely not because it was moist. You might consider more than one register so the line moves more quickly and customers can enjoy the view instead of standing in line.

Yelp
This coffee spot is such a San Diego gem. They are located next to the Mission Bay Beach Club and the aesthetic is super cute. They have a ton of seating to accommodate large or small groups. The baristas were friendly and worked quite quickly to complete my order on what seemed like a busy day. This is the perfect place to meetup with friends or bring people who are visiting from out of town.

Yelp
What a unique Wine Country Style, bayside restaurant, and cafe. This is an adorable place, to take your visitors, or for a date, or to go with your girlfriends. I went here with my boyfriend this past weekend, and we grabbed a few drinks and watched sunset. They have plenty of outdoor seating, with views of the Bay and the sunset. Looks like there is a baby shower going on in a section of the outdoor seating, so good to know that they take large celebrations as well. I ordered The Sandy Beach espresso drink and a red sangria. The red sangria was made with tequila, was it which was the first time I've had that combination, and it was amazing! The Sandy Beach drink was also a great palette mix. I like my coffee is pretty basic, Americana with a splash of oat milk, so this drink was a great compliment to that palette. My boyfriend ordered two aprilo spritz and raved about it. They drinks may not be ig-worthy, but they are very tasty and well made. Great place to take your dogs, too! I definitely will be back.

Yelp
Tried out this Darling Cafe with the Hubs this morning. FYI Saturday Mornings are crazy busy. Expect the line to wrap around the building. But even with the crowds there Wes plenty of seating as people don't usually stay too long after they eat so no need to save seats. The Cafe is located on bay where you'll see yoga on the lawn, people biking, or on the water. It's a nice casual spot where you can take kids, your dog or just hang with some friends. We will definitely be back with our girls. We ordered the Iced Sandy Beach and and Iced Fluffer Nutter () which were delicious. Also tried the Turkey Provolone Panini and the Ham and Swiss Panini which were very good as well! Small menu but looks delicious!

Yelp
hands down the best part of this place is its location. 360 views of the bay and shoreline are hard to beat. this trendy place has a small menu of small bites, grilled sandwiches, and salad bowls. Most popular on the weekend mornings for the coffee lovers, so be prepared for a line if you are here at that time. They offer happy hour Mon-Fri and you can enjoy a bottle of wine and watch the water and do some great people watching. The food is good and at market prices, especially given the location. I come here for the ambiance and location more than the menu.

Yelp
My daughter brought me to Super Bloom for my morning expresso and breakfast. The Avocado Toast was really good. I got an oat milk latte . The flavor of the expresso was fair. This place is beautiful! The views of Mission Bay are fantastic. There are walking trails all around the bay. People were paddle boarding and kayaking. This was super fun because of the views and atmosphere. I will be back.
google avatar

Andrea L.

Yelp
Fun drinks, great location, my only complaint was the ridiculous long line just to order a coffee. They need a better system, but if you're not in a hurry, it's a cool spot
google avatar

S A.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious coffee, ambiance and service. Views are exceptional and I would definitely visit daily if I didnt live so far. They even have tiny vineyard. I love Superbloom!
google avatar

Andrea W.

Yelp
I just love this place. It is my happy place and I love taking friends there so it becomes that happy place too!!!
google avatar

A L.

Yelp
Waited about 40 minutes in line to order a coffee, waited another 45 minutes for an avocado toast that never came out. I had already finished my drink and i just couldn't wait any longer for my food. People working there didn't seem to care much about their speed or the line, they were all just standing around, chitchatting. Save your time and go elsewhere. My first and last time here. Not even the view can bring me back.
google avatar

Alexandra R.

Yelp
Cutest little coffee shop near Mission Bay with a great view. There's a variety of coffee, pastries, sandwiches, and even alcohol that could be perfect for a little post-workout treat/ meet up with friends. My friends and I went on a Sunday afternoon. The line was consistently long and took about 20 minutes to get through. I loved that they offer season drinks. The Strawberry Kisses Latte was good and the bagel with cream cheese was HUGE! The bagel was packed with cream cheese that I had to scrape some off. I paid $15 for both... pretty pricey. I would come back for drinks if I'm around the area. It's also dog friendly!
google avatar

Jessica D.

Yelp
Such a cute outdoor patio! There are 2 stands to order from. One stand is for food and coffee and the other stand is for alcohol. The lines do get long so the wait time for food is long too. A bit overpriced but the view makes up for it.
google avatar

Sandy C.

Yelp
Came with my friend and family for lunch and had a wonderful time! Cute little place outside with lots of places to sit and many choices of either salads or sandwiches and coffee or kombucha and they do have alcohol too. Love this little spot!
google avatar

Blackjack S.

Yelp
New, nice view, healthy choices and nice atmosphere to even a nice beverage to calm you down after some good fitness on the bay! The perfect setup and the views are perfect!
google avatar

Kelly D.

Yelp
Awesome views! Went here with friends and loved the food and drinks. Quiet spot on the bay but very popular and had a great crowd. Unfortunately didn't love how long the line was, and I think they could benefit from a mobile ordering option, or a more efficient way to take orders it was a long process to order and get our beverages! Wanted to stay all day but didn't want to keep waiting in line for 40+ mins to order and another 10-15 mins to get our coffee/juice!
google avatar

Kassandra S.

Yelp
Such a cute breakfast/ cafe spot! If you're in the area, you have to stop here to grab a bite and walk around the beach walkway. The service was attentive & kind. The workers were knowledge about their drinks & menu! Now for the food & drinks: aloha sunrise 9/10: great taste of coconut! I was impressed that I was able to taste a hint of coconut over the coffee. It was perfectly sweetened (I don't like my coffee strong) honey cafe latte 8/10: great spin of their honey cafe latte! caramel latte 6/10: a bit too milky & not enough caramel, needed to be mixed in more Cheese & avocado croissant 10/10: I took out the ham & added avocado & it was delicious! Overall, great spot to pick up and walk around

Yelp
My partner and I frequent Mission Bay to jog, and decided to make a stop in. Superbloom is located at the Mission Bay Beach Club, so the view was pretty great of the water. It's a walk up cafe with a great outdoor seating space to enjoy your drinks. The baristas were friendly when it came time for us to order. We got the sunset cooler and the spirit of aloha. We were not disappointed! Both drinks were so refreshing and flavorful. The spirit of aloha was a good sweet drink that was coconut forward with a slight touch of macadamia, as described on the menu. And the sunset cooler was an equally balanced drink with all the flavors being noticeable. Great drinks and great atmosphere here! Parking is not available in the Mission Bay Beach Club parking lot unless you are a member, but there are parking lots close by.
google avatar

April H.

Yelp
Superbloom is a super cute spot to meet up with friends for a coffee date. The scenery is beautiful, plenty of seating, and the coffee and food is so good. Some downsides are the price, I paid over $50 for 2 coffees and 2 sandwiches and the wait. You order at a counter, the line was a good 10 minute wait, coffee comes out quick but the food took another 30+ minutes. Overall I enjoyed the coffee, food, and ambiance but wish the service was quicker.
google avatar

Margarita A.

Yelp
Wonderful spot! After a nice morning walk had the avocado toast with scrambled egg (huge ate half) it hit the spot! Outside seating (why would you want to be inside?) great view clean, and friendly staff
google avatar

Alva C.

Yelp
I have been back since and it seems that they have changed their coffee beans and the coffee actually tastes really good now in addition to this they also offer whole milk which is a game changer. It's a little pricey, but to be expected with the location.
google avatar

Yelp
So it's a beautiful day in San Diego. Radiant sunshine and not a cloud in an azure sky filled with the promise of summer. Everything is apparently idyllic. Unfortunately, the positive factors end there with this establishment. It's lunchtime but they are completely out of the overpriced salads on the menu. They offer cocktails, but the bartender doesn't start their shift until 1pm Two strikes! I mean really ITS SUMMER IN SAN DIEGO! And these clowns have no bartender and no salads?? Fabulous customer service. Willing to compromise we spend ten minutes trying to explain to the sullen millennial behind the counter that - the tiresome burden of choice eliminated for us - we'll take sandwiches instead. Eventually she grasps the concept and we sit down to await the food. And wait... And wait... Eventually the sarnies arrive. Actually tasty. But given how long they took, they should have been. Just bring your own food and sit in the chairs by the bay.
google avatar

Trina I.

Yelp
Cute location with a beautiful view! Friendly service & our drinks came out pretty quickly. Coffee was perfect, they have accomodating milk options which I always look for in a coffee shop. Plenty of seating and lounge chairs to enjoy the view!
google avatar

Eve D.

Yelp
The staff look borderline miserable. One of the guys looked like he was blinking in a way asking for help. lol At least the cappuccino was good!
google avatar

Steven H.

Yelp
We were walking by the Bay early one morning and stopped by for a coffee and I had my standard cappuccino to measure the quality. Well it was fabulous. The service was great and they have many choices of milk alternative and I have oat milk this time for my cappuccino. Highly recommend for coffee, soft drinks, and wine. Enjoy and the view is great.
google avatar

B C.

Yelp
My review is mostly based on 3 things: the price, the service, and the food quality. All 3 were subpar. The view is beautiful but there is also an issue with that. Mission Bay was created for the public and paid for by San Diego residents. Prior to this place the building was a church and the parking was open to the public. Now this place is here and the parking is for customers only. I think it's lame the City is making this public space comercial, for a price rather than freely open to the public.
google avatar

Aseel K.

Yelp
Use to come here all the time and always had a good experience but today was horrible!! I was excited to order the nutcracker latte and order it hot. I spent $7.00 for it to taste like milk. They forgot to add sprinkles and whip cream and when I mentioned how the drink tasted off they didn't care. The barista said "oh I might have forgotten" and she didn't do anything about it then I asked again and she gave me the syrup to add myself... didn't really solve the issue. Then she also again forgot to add the whip cream and sprinkles. And she didn't seem to care that it still wasn't right. So embarrassed to have brought my friends here to try this place. Everyone was disappointed with their drinks it just didn't taste like anything other than milk! They were also not crowded it was pretty empty and we were the only ones in line..

Yelp
Such a cute coffee spot for a mini date. Had a small catch-up with a friend here. Enjoyed my caramel latte and ham and cheese croissant. The line was really long when I arrived but it moves pretty fast. A very good atmosphere. The staff were very kind. I will be coming back.
google avatar

Yelp
*** Original Visit was 10/12/2023 *** Okay, so I go here all the time. I probably come here at least once a week if not more, just to walk around the bay because how beautiful is San Diego? Anyway, I rarely get food but I decided to this time. The girls at the counter were super sweet as usual. The line can be long later in the day, but moves fairly quick. The menu isn't extensive. I ordered 1x Avocado and Egg toast 1x Poppyseed muffin 1x Masala Chai latte The avocado and egg toast was great. The poppyseed muffin was delicious, not dry at all and had icing atop. I'm not the biggest fan of their chai tea, hence -1 star. I feel like it's watered down more than it needs to be, and I've tried it with different milks to confirm this theory. All in all, you have to come here. It's a great place for a quick meal, it's lovely to sit outside, and you can't beat the view.
google avatar

Mike S.

Yelp
INACCURATE OPEN TIMES! We scootered 5 miles around the bay to come here because their Google Maps times said they were open (these are updated by each business). Upon arrival we found a nicely printed sign saying they were closing early. I'm sure this is a one-off incident but it def reflects an oversight that should be caught for a scheduled early closing. LOCATION & FACILITY IS BEAUTIFUL! Totally amazing! Looks like a wonderful spot to get lunch or just coffee. Will definitely be back.
google avatar

Taylor S.

Yelp
I love Superbloom coffee and just discovered they have an evening happy hour. It was amazing! Wine, beer, cocktails and bites until 7pm. We went when we saw people walking around. They had live music, vendors selling homemade goods and people enjoying the evening. It is such a beautiful location overlooking the water and a great way to end the day. The staff is so nice and helped with beverage recommendations. We plan to come back and make this a regular spot.
google avatar

Luis G.

Yelp
Coffee was good. The view, AMAZING! Staff was nice but I'd likely come back for the view if nothing else. They also serve beer later in the day so I will likely try that sometime.
google avatar

Saadia Z.

Yelp
The view alone / location and seating area is worth it. Enjoy your coffee with a meal or by it's own with a wonderful view of the bay. My drink was refreshing. I got the passion fruit iced tea with sweetener. I noticed that it wasn't that sweet which was a little disappointing. But as I drank more, i realized it had all settled at the bottom and i guess wasn't mixed in well. Perfect time to come is sunset I would like to come back and have breakfast/brunch here, some of the items on the menu made me want to come back.

Sarah R.

Yelp
How cute is this spot?! Avocado toast was delicious, coffee was beyond amazing, and the outdoor seating/overall vibe of the location is everything. So nice for a lovely oceanfront morning. Great, quick service regardless of the long line!
google avatar

Melissa D.

Yelp
Amazing spot to relax and get a caffeine pick me up. Dog friendly and family friendly outdoor spot with a nice view of the bay. The coffee is ok here. But superbloom does offer other items. A nice spot to get your day started as well as enjoy the views and walking paths.
google avatar

Liann S.

Yelp
I ordered the Fluffer Nutter specialty drink and it was pretty good. Coffee is a little expensive here, I paid $7.25 for one regular size specialty drink. I love coming here because it's entirely outside and there's always enough seating. The best place to bring a book and read under the sun! They have food options but nothing too out of the ordinary, they're paninis are okay but can be a but pricey ($14-15) for the size. Food isn't something to rave about but definitely recommend coming here for their coffee. I sat on the couches outside the last time I came and wished the couches were cleaner as they had stains everywhere on them. Bathroom was super clean and cute! Service was okay and when I asked for more ice to make my drink colder they gladly did so.
google avatar

Kailee P.

Yelp
I love coming to superbloom for coffee and just hanging out in the sun. It's a beautiful location and you look out over the bay. Parking is always available. They have a handful of unique coffee drinks but have the classics as well. Definitely. Must visit spot in San Diego
google avatar

Candace C.

Yelp
Visited in the early afternoon and got an ice tea. $4 for this cup and lots of tables and seating. Friendly service but wifi is very spotty. They also had food options and lots of speciality coffee drinks on the menu. Great views and easy parking. It's a little chilly in the afternoons so bring a coat.
google avatar

Melanie M.

Yelp
Adorable little cafe by mission bay! Highly recommend for this incredible location! They have an adorable garden next to the seating - see below photo (nothing was in bloom when I went in early April, but I bet it will be gorgeous when it does!). Ample seating, all with beautiful views of the bay. They were playing some music, a little loud, but a very fun vibe! Lots of people grabbing coffee and wine or rose on a Sunday afternoon. Friendly service. Default milk is oat milk! Matcha was great. Overall, an adorable spot to stop for coffee or a drink with an unbeatable location!
google avatar

Tammy N.

Yelp
Superbloom is located at Mission Bay Beach Club. Unique looking spot with a beautiful view. Lots of covered outdoor seating. Overall great hangout spot. Their coffee is just kind of a let down. I went with the strawberry kisses latte which is a special for the month of February. It just tasted like strawberry milk with no hint of coffee at all. Service is standard. Plenty of parking. Wouldn't be somewhere I would regularly visit because the coffee isn't the greatest, but the vibe is definitely nice!
google avatar

Brad B.

Yelp
3.5 stars? Are you all high? Fu#k that, I was most likely high when I went here and this place is badass. A friend suggested this spot as a good spot to grab a coffee and walk the bay and I agreed as not only had I never been, I'd never heard of it either. I'm sure glad that my friend did suggest it because it scratches a lot of itches when it comes to spending time in this neck of the woods. - There is food - There is coffee - It's dog friendly - There is a ton of parking - There is a lot of seating - There is a beautiful view of the bay - There is great people watching So THERE you go. Explore this beautiful city a little bit and next time you need a good coffee skip stupid Starbucks and support Superbloom.
google avatar

Rocko R.

Yelp
Don't order food on the weekend it's over an hour wait . Just get pastry . Especially with a toddler
google avatar

Anthony E.

Yelp
A bit pricey, but its understood these days. You came because of the location and always wondered what it was about. They have a great patio area in front of the shop and a little vineyard for asthetics to set the mood. The real pleaser is behind the shop and looking west is where you'll find some adirondack seats and some tables perched high on the hill overlooking Mission Bay and the beautiful sunset yonder.
google avatar

Stacey M.

Yelp
I am so impressed by the location! It's the perfect spot to grab a coffee and go for a nice walk around the bay. The staff were really friendly and my fluffer nutter latte was delicious. It was nice to sit out in the Adirondack chairs, but definitely bring a jacket if it's a cooler day as there were no heaters!
