I wish I could give this place a better review because the stylist was nice but after sitting with this hair for a week I have come to terms with the fact that I am incredibly unsatisfied with my experience. I came here on superbowl Sunday and there was only one person working. I had made an appointment and they were running late which is fair since there was only one stylist staffed. The work area was not very clean and she told me to set my jacket down on the counter which still had many pieces of other people’s hair on it. My hair was very long and I came here to chop it so I can donate it. She did not have rubber bands to make the appropriate braid for donation and haphazardly gathered the hair in the one rubber bands she scrounged and told me to braid it myself at home. The hair wash was not great either I don’t think she really lathered into my scalp because it still felt oily afterwards. The cut was terrible. I showed her a reference photo which she barely looked at. I asked for hair longer in the front which I know she heard because she left long pieces in the front but then she ended up chopping them to be the same length anyways!! She asked how long I wanted my hair and I was saying right above the shoulders but she kept saying chin length which I kept correcting but she decided it needed to be chin length anyways. She also asked if I wanted layers and I said no but she decided to chop layers anyways. She did it right at the end after blow drying so I thought she was done and was too surprised to stop her. Overall I will never be coming back. I’m surprised this place has such good reviews. It’s hair so it will grow back and I’m trying not to be too disappointed but I do want to warn others about the quality

Bill is a true artist of his craft. I was seen super quickly, he was personable, friendly to my toddler, and very interesting to speak with. None of that had anything to do with the absolute banger of a cut he gave me. My hair has never looked so good, and I will definitely be back.

This my first review I’ve ever felt the need to make. I asked for a full shave was told that’s fine. I had also just gotten my wisdom teeth out and asked her to be gentle. She just trimmed down my beard leaving a good amount left, went super fast and rough, and nicked me multiple places on the neck then charged me and sent me on my way. Do not go here.

Bill was great for my partner, Keith, who I brought to the appointment Indian reporting for him because the message was sent to me since I made the appointment for him . I had previously used Bill for my haircut and for my grandson’s haircut and we were very pleased with his service. Keith was seeking a new hair stylist because his previous one retired and he was thrilled with Bill as well. He will be A regular client Bill at the Northgate Supercuts every month.

I easily booked an appointment online. When I checked in, I didn't have to wait more than 5 minutes. Nancy was really sweet and quick yet efficient. I just needed a haircut and she did just that. She asked if I wanted a shampoo, but Ideclined because I didn't have time. I live just down the road, and will continue to come to this location.

I arrived about 45 minutes before closing and the staff was nice enough to accept me without an appointment. I was assigned to Jessica for a shampoo and cut. She was very attentive to what style I liked. Super Cuts is fortunate to have her on staff.

Just got THE WORST haircut of my life. I asked for the same cut as the woman cutting my hair had. The same cut. That she had. On her head. She proceeded to shave my head to the crown with a 1! This is the very first thing she did! had asked for a light fade! I had long hair and asked to have length on top and sides. She cut my top hair down to about 3 inches. I was so appalled that I basically left my body during the cut. I bawled the whole way home. I called the store to speak with her and let her know how upsetting it was that she didn’t listen to me. She wouldn’t even let me talk. She just kept repeating that I had said a 1 is ok— which I was expecting on the lower 2” of my head— NOT MY ENTIRE HEAD! I ordered a bunch of wigs because I can’t wear a hat for the next four months until my hair grows out. I am so upset. Do not go there and expect professional haircuts. I attached a picture of the stylist hair, whose haircut I wanted, and the terrible haircut I got. I contacted Supercuts directly and still haven’t heard back— (as of 10/15/23) that should tell you how much they care about how bad a job their stylists are doing.

After the agony of weeks in looking for the haircut. I was able to find the right person for my haircut! I really like the way he cut my hair. He was very nice, professional easy to communicate and I like him a lot. He has a customer for life! Thank you!!!

Just great , from shape ups to hair color to hairstyles. It's affordable compared to other places in the area and it's friendly and fast staff.

The worst. Not only is it dingy inside, but they don't even have magazines. Then, she asked me if I brought a photo??? It's like they're too cheap to provide their own tools of the trade... was I supposed to bring my own scissors too? The 'stylist' looked like she hadn't washed or combed her hair for at least 2 weeks. Seriously, how am I supposed to trust my hair to someone that doesn't care for their own? Honestly, I'm thinking they just grabbed a few people off the street to 'work' for the day. Turns out I was skeptical for good reason. Most of the water she sprayed went straight into my eyes instead of my hair. It was $38 for a less than 10-minute haircut. It used to be about $23. Her demeanor was fine but it's about the cut and that was way less than stellar. There are lots of places I've been for the same price that are much better. Happy to pay more for a better environment, a magazine or two, a real cut and a stylist that I can trust... perhaps even buy some products from. What happened to professionalism?

Terrible! Karin did not listen to the haircut I wanted and instead said it was "ugly" and she "never understood why people get their hair cut like that". All I wanted was a fade on the sides from a 1guard to a 2guard. She is not good at her job and clearly isn't happy doing it. Why does she?

Vinny is superb! He made me look like a supermodel. He is a talented and artistic hair stylist who will take the time to give high end service and a luscious shampoo. Go see Vinny!

I have happily gone here quite a few times and always had great experiences. I usually call in and ask for appointments. Never any issue with doing this method. I had just scheduled an appointment via phone just now for 1pm tomorrow, but I will not be going to it now after careful thought. The stylist who answered the phone was rude, condescending, acted like it was an inconvenience for him to even answer the phone, and he complained to me that I interrupted his work by calling. Ridiculous behavior from him. I will not be giving this location any more of my business.

I've been going here over 10 years and always had good experiences until Sunday 10/9/22, when a young man did my hair and it was quite bad. He started by hacking at my head with the razor, banging into my scalp continually as he went along. I've never experienced that. I was worried I might lose some flesh. I noticed that back was a bit uneven but didn't make much of it, partly because I couldn't see well without my glasses. When I got home and inspected closely I was shocked how bad it actually was. The right side had patches and was cut at at abrupt v-angle, in an uneven line. The left side was completely different--square. (I then recalled they stylist said he was tired and a bit out of it.) My family members noticed immediately and we all had a good laugh. Fortunately I decided to go back the next day (10/10/22). The two staff members (Gina and Steven?) were very kind and professional and did not hesitate to fit me. Yesterday I was pretty upset and ready to give a one-star review. However, that was a one time event for me and would be unfair to the rest of the staff. Businesses should be given the opportunity to rectify a mistake and on that score they did great. The customer service I received when I returned was superb.

First time I went and it will be my last. I asked for a high fade with a scissor cut on top and left with this. I asked the manager to help me fix it, and all she did was make my hair shorter and didn't fade out the top. I'll just let the picture do the rest of the talking.

My father has been going to super cuts in Spokane for the last 2 years pre covid. He usually needs a simple haircut. He came to Seattle and went to this location. I think this will be the first and the last time my father will go to Supercuts. The haircut was extremely bad. I think I can do a better haircut looking at a youtube tutorial than the one he got here. The person literally butchered his hair. He took off a lot of volume and it was uneven from all sides. The sides were not trimmed. I wish I had seen these yelp reviews before. Please do not go to this location.

Needing a trim asap, their website made the same day booking super easy. Friendly store manager and welcoming staff. I booked with Viny based on other yelp reviews. Luckily, he proved them right! I ended up getting layers and long bangs style cut, Viny really loves what he does and it shows. I'm definitely going back and couldn't be happier with results :) Thank you Viny

I used the website To book an appointment and went in at the appointed time. There were three stylists. One looked surprised and fumbled with the web interface. One stylist was busy looking at her phone, the third looked sort of prepared. The greeter handled me off to that one. As I started to sit, she darted back to me and said something about she had a client coming so she couldn't see me. I said I didn't know who I was there to see, it was fine. I should have known it wouldn't go well when it was a woman with long hair and conservative clothes (sweater and slacks). For context, I am middle aged, non-binary, and the top of my hair is colored bright purple. I asked for a #1 clipper on the sides and a trim on top. She argued that a 1 was too short and she said she was starting with a 2. I had to be firm and insist. I then got the worst haircut in my life. The fading was choppy, she left the cowlick I asked to be cut off, and she didn't touch my top or bangs. I paid, tipped ( I know she was terrible, but they make crap so...) and left. Worst haircut of my life.

I'm pretty skeptical at how good my SO's cut was. Still kinda can't believe it. We came in on a random Monday night, happy to hear they were open until 9. Super convenient. It was one of the few places open til late, and we were in a rush, leaving for vacation in a few days. The crucial window for a haircut to set in. Or so we thought. He has gorgeous hair, with medium Asian curls and we've had a lot of people mess up his cut simply because his hair isn't the most straightforward. (pun intended). We usually bring a picture of him a week after his cut (that's when it grows in really nicely and looks awesome) but our old salon used to cut it a bit too short without too much regard to his curlies. (Which we realized after this Supercuts experience). I'm still pretty shocked that we've gotten a cut as great as this from an unassuming supercuts over some other swanky salons we've been to. He came out looking just like the picture we asked for. Like, it looked exactly like the picture. We actually brought in two different pictures and the stylist was able to tell us, "well, these are actually different lengths here, here, and here so which one do you want?" Good attention to detail and clear communication. Very satisfied.

I went in and described my usual haircut - long on top with a fade on the side. I described it to Karin, who seemed to understand, until she pulled out the razor and went down the center of my head. To my horror, I was stuck with a buzz cut, as there was no going back. I was there barely 10 minutes, and walked out with the worst haircut I have ever received. I got help to fix all the hairs missed, and will never come back.

The worst haircut I ever had. EVER. I will NEVER go back to any Supercuts anywhere. That's how terrible this was.

I've lived in Seattle for a year and all of the barber places mess up my hair or try to do something fancy with it or just not listening to what I want. Gina listened to what I wanted and gave me the best haircut I've gotten in a while. Thanks Gina!

when i came here i showed the lady who was cutting my hair multiple pictures for reference and i was getting layers but she acted like she understood it really well but when she cut my hair i noticed that she was cutting the top layer way to short and at that point there was nothing i could do about it she didnt really even follow the pictures i showed her either she also made my hair extremely uneven and one side is a lot shorter then the other their haircuts cost $27 each and i think that for the way they their skills and customer service are that is way to much to pay i am extremely unsatisfied i would never go there again

I usually have good experiences with super cuts, however this location was not what I expected. The woman cutting my hair was very rough and took off much more than I was comfortable with without asking me first. She said she understood but I've used the exact same description for what I like at other hair salons before and this came out completely different. Will need to keep my hair up for quite awhile until it can grow back. Extremely disappointed she took off so much.

This is not super cut I believe unexperience staff .. The Asian old lady cut my hair , like she is cutting first time even don't know how to make lining ..even the haircut was worse unbalance and donot listen , even I m not experience but I can cut more better than her ... I have to cut myself after coming back.. Price is $23 Bad service. We pay for good service So you have to train or put experience license employee.. Also train how to communicate customer..: Never ever I will enter this store...

I just went to Supercuts for a number 2 buzz. I cannot believe they somehow managed to shave a small bald patch above my ear....it was a buzz cut. How Incompetent do you have to be to screw that hair cut up. Is there an option for negative stars...worst haircut ever. And on top of it, it cost me $23. WTF! First and last time going there. What a joke. Stay away unless you want a bad haircut.

It's hard to find a good barber. The key is communication. ITS YOUR HAIR. For me I see Nancy. Ask for Nancy, she is extremely skilled. I've used swanky barbers that charge $50-75 for a men's haircut, but Nancy does a better job. My personal go to.

My hairstylist told me how much she understood curly hair. She cut my hair to the length I like when it was wet. When it's dry, it looks like a badger curled up on top of my head. I HATE my hair! I will never use your salon again and will tell everyone I know how hideous I feel right now and whose fault it is. It won't let me choose zero stars but that's my actual choice.

I just wanted to take the time to show my appreciation to Phuong Tran (10 years of service!) for her meticulous attention to cutting my hair last week, and for the wonderful service. Please keep doing what you're doing because I'm definitely coming back to see you the next time I need a cut. Cheers!

Definitely a case of getting what you pay for. The haircuts are dirt cheap $22 If you skip washing and blowdrying, compared to like $50 I would probably pay elsewhere. I tend to stay away from these kinds of places because it's corporate and probably doesn't pay people enough to give a shit but it was less than than minutes from me so decided to give it a shot. Guy "finished" in less than 15-20 minutes. I have really long, thick hair almost to my waist, even just a trim is easily a half hour affair if not longer. On top of that, I asked for layers. She started taking the gown off me and showed me my hair and sure enough, I still had split ends. I asked him to touch that up and decided to forget the layers I had asked for. I also asked him to trim up my side bang and showed him where I wanted it like three times and he kept trying to leave it longer with a big old tail sticking out. I'm overall disappointed because I did show him a photo of the light layers I wanted (little snippets throughout the hair) and what I got was basically a blunt cut with a piece on either side of my head slightly shorter by a half inch or so. I'm giving two stars because in total with tip it was only $32 and I'm not like ashamed to leave the house or anything.

The staff need some serious disciplinary measures from management. They waltz around and act like you're imposing on their free time while they "clean up their stations" between customers. I waited 15 minutes for a chair that was "available" and was still not seated, so I walked out. This Supercuts franchise should be shut down, it gives the chain a bad name. I'll never go back. NB: I think something has changed for the worse in the past few months, this used to be a good, efficient operation, but no more. Boycott this place!

I went in with a printout of several photos of the exact haircut I wanted--and have been getting for years with no issues--a choppy layered style. I told the stylist I wanted that haircut, but I wanted it chin-length, instead of the shoulder-length shown in the photos. I got a pixie cut. All my wonderful, cherry-red wavy hair ended up on the salon floor. The hair I have been carefully color-treating to the perfect shade and cultivating for years, gone. By the time I realized what was happening (when he pulled out the clippers and started shaving the lower part of the back of my neck), the back was already done, so I had to let him finish. I thought he was just cutting the layers, not cropping the back of my head to an inch long. Not only that, but he cut some of the hair on the crown of my head at my cowlick LESS than an inch long, so it sticks straight up on top of my head and there's nothing I can do about it. The small hairs in front of each ear are a different length by almost an inch, so on one side I can put it behind my ear, but on the other side it's too short. I didn't want to make a scene in front of my daughter (who had chosen to get a pixie cut herself), so I paid the bill and got out of there. I spent the next 2 days crying every time I looked in the mirror. It's so short that I feel the need to femme it up a lot more than I'd like, to hopefully avoid people thinking I'm trans and harassing me when I go into public restrooms. I am now forced to wait for my hair to grow back out, through all the awkward in-between stages, for however long it is going to take to get back to where I started. I really miss my stylist in Bellingham.

Worst ever service I've gotten so far. old lady named nuong tran or something; she was super impolite, impatient, and did not even give a da*n listening to my request. her hands were also very rude and she dared to pull me with force. this witch was trying to finish up in 1 minute and scared customers to run away with her extremely sh*t service. I would even give 0.5/10

Back when I lived a little bit closer to Northgate I used to come here once every six weeks or so for a haircut. Since six years is a long time, I'm going to break out this review in a series of stories. - One of the reasons I started going here was because they had a stylist named Kim. She was probably in her mid to late 40's and was very quiet, somewhat frail with very tiny fingers. Other stylists tried to talk to her and she would smile but act very shy. She was adorable, and my roommate at the time and I developed a schoolkid crush on her for still being adorable into her 40's. She left one day. It made this place worse. - For a few months they employed a young woman whose name I think was also Kim. She was hyper-talkative, doing whatever she could to try to engage in conversation. One day she asked me what I was studying at UW. I told her I was studying psychology. She was under the impression that psychology was the study of ESP (or, as she called it, "studying psychic"). So for the next 3 or 4 times I came in, she would ask me if I was able to read her mind. Then she'd laugh at me. - One lady here was really nice. She was usually in a good mood, and tended to do a pretty good job cutting my hair short. The only problem was that she had very thick fingers, so she was unable to cut hair below like 3 quarters of an inch without using a buzzer. So any time she was my stylist I had to get a buzz cut. - Every single front desk girl here over the course of six years smoked and talked on the phone throughout her entire shift. Every single one. They also tended to act like entitled racists, talking down to the largely immigrant hair cutters. - There was a short, somewhat chubby lady that worked here that over the last two years was there every single time I came, even when it appeared everyone else had left. She spoke very little English and cut hair like she was in a big hurry. One day she was using the clippers and she made a cut in the top of my ear. It started to bleed, and she thought I didn't notice, so she went and grabbed a tissue and then kept it between her fingers as she kept buzzing. Then when she thought I wasn't looking she would quickly place the tissue on top of the wound to soak up the blood, then hide the tissue again so I "couldn't see it" and then soak up the blood again a few seconds later. As she was cleaning me up she pretended she was drying my head with the towel she stuck it on top of the cut and fake dried my hair before telling me I could go.

Went to get my hair fixed after a "let the boyfriend trim the ends" moment of weakness. Pros: No wait, got almost what I wanted done and the price was right! I wanted my fringe a little shorter and she did a nice job of it! Negs: The Supercuts in CA normally spray your hair down with water before doing any cutting, and their supplies are soaked/rinsed between customers. This isn't the case at this location. A little bit of my hair fell in my face and rather than just use the blow dryer or hand me a tissue, the hair dresser wiped my face...with a towel covered in the guy before me's grey hair. Eek.

I'm updating my review based on the workings of Phuong-Tran (sp?). I finally found a barber who knows how to blend my hair well and understands what I want! If you're a guy, and need a haircut. Come here, expect to pay around $16, and ask for Phuong-Tran. You shouldn't be disappointed.

I came here to get my hair cut last week, and I have to say I wasn't impressed. I explained to the girl what I wanted, and when it was about half way done, it was already shorter than I had asked for. I had also asked for layers, but the ends of it were uneven. I ended up going home and redoing the ends so that it was the same length on both sides. If you need a quick trim, sure, I'd go here. But for a major 'do, save up and go somewhere else.

Having moved to Seattle from Los Angeles half a year ago, there are always some things I love and some things I hate. For starters, beer is cheaper in Seattle. What I don't get, however, is why a haircut at Supercuts is $17 here compared to $14 at home. 21% more doesn't quite make sense to me considering it's a chain and the cost of living in Seattle can't be that much higher, but if that's how it is and I'll accept it. Now that I got that out, the experience here was good overall. They only take same-day appointments, so I called a few hours ahead and got a 3pm appointment. Upon arriving there around 3pm, I was promptly seated at a haircutting station (skipping 4 other people; seriously, get an appointment if you want to save time) and the trimming began. I don't remember the hairdresser's name since she didn't have a name tag, but she did a good job on my hair and it looked pretty much how I envisioned it to be at the end. I will probably be coming back 2 haircuts from now....but first, my $12 haircut when I go back home for winter break :)

My partner and I frequented this Supercuts when we still lived nearby over a year ago. We'd lived elsewhere a bit but now live close again, and came in yesterday for some haircuts. They don't make appointments here so sometimes there is a wait, especially in the afternoons, but we are fine with that. The staff here do get busy, but still politely greet you and give you a time estimate when there are clients ahead of you. I want to make sure I give Steven a shoutout here, because he did an amazing job on my thick, wiry, unruly hair. In the past I've made peace with the fact that short, masculine cuts on me make me look like a muppet or the dictator of North Korea. That's not the case when Steven does my hair, and I'm so grateful for his knowledge. He had cut my hair for me once over a year ago as well, and he actually remembered me and how I like my hair to be styled. Thank you for your skills and your customer service, I appreciate it so much!

I've been here maybe 10 times, every time I came in the vibe I got from a certain stylist was not good. She just didn't seem to like me or she was nervous around me or whatever. But I'm not here to make friends, I'm here to get hair services. I attempted to be as nice and polite as possible but to no avail. I won't be in anymore because the way the stylist feels towards you affects the quality of the service you receive and so they skimp on services. So, I'll be finding a new salon to frequent.

I went here because my hair grew out really poofy and unattractively from a short cut and it's still short but about chin length. I asked if they could fix it to make it look more attractive and the woman who saw me was winded, stating they were very busy that day so to just tell her what I am looking for. I asked for a layering and some bangs. The hair also grew out uneven with one side being much longer than the other so she said she fixed that. However, today straightening my naturally wavy hair out it shows that the longer side is longer. The bangs turned out okay but the layering, upon straightening out my hair today, shows that she did not really do anything to improve its attractiveness. It still looks weird when straightening it out. She was reluctant to give me as much layering as I wanted as she said it would make the poofiness worse so she seemed to have skimped on doing much other than just trimming some edges. The sides were cut to supposedly taper in towards the face attractively but one side bang was still vastly longer than the other... I really don't like having to keep fixing a hairdresser's mistakes just because they are in a hurry to get to the next person. I don't think this was worth $30+ (including tip) since I'm going to have to fix some of it myself at home. I also did not get offered the hot towel service at all and didn't know about it until writing this review. Likely due to them being in a hurry.

My boyfriend has been coming here for 5 years. I decided to try it out and very satisfied with the service. Ms. Fung does a great job.

Today I went in to this salon for the first time and it was the best haircut I've ever had. The whole staff was friendly and professional. I will continue to get my haircut here!

I don't usually write Yelp reviews but I felt the need to get on here after a guy at this super cuts absolutely butchered my hair. I told him in detail what I wanted and he then proceeded to mess it all up. He took it way shorter than I asked, he saved the sides way higher than I asked on one side (vey uneven) and clipped a big chunk out of the front of my bangs. The top was very uneven as well. When I got home I spent a good 15 minutes just trying to fix what he had done. I would have paid $20 just to not have this done to me. He didn't talk to me at all throughout the haircut to try to confirm he was doing anything right. Worst haircut ever.

I went to get a very basic trim...to get off the split ends from going far too long in between cuts. The stylist was friendly, warm, but not invasive or overly talkative. She checked to make sure of what I wanted before she started snipping, and checked in with me a couple times along the way to make sure she was doing what I wanted. It was empty when I arrived (it was about 8pm) so I can't speak for how things are when it is busy. I also got the most basic trim ever, so I can't speak for other services. I'm used to a more professional hairdresser but I went here because I am a poor graduate student. It was alright. $16 for a basic trim.

Never again will I return to get my facial hair waxed. The man who did it did a horrible job. I had to tell him to wax the middle of my lip because he was just going to leave it unwaxed!! I did it the day I left for my trip and my husband pointed out that there was still a lot of hair left on my top left brow. I've gone several times and for the price the service was to be expected but my gosh, that experience just awful enough to put this review and give you a 1 star. Super disappointed!

Worst haircut I have ever gotten. Also, worst service I have ever gotten while getting my hair cut. I wanted a simple haircut, not too many layers, shoulder-length. As I tuck my hair behind my ears it looks like half of my hair is sitting on a Shelf. I don't want to tell people I tried cutting my own hair, but that's what it feels like I should be saying. I also tried using a coupon, and was told abruptly that I had to have it printed out Those were the only words spoken to me during the haircutting process. Will not return.

I love this place ........ Natarah. has been cutting & coloring my hair for years, and she also cuts my husband's hair........when she is busy, I love Nancy. Everyone there is professional and courteous, you can't beat the prices. And the every product recommended has been wonderful,

I am usually pretty picky when it comes to my hair but The ONLY one I let touch my hair is Nancy! She always knows what looks great on me and I always get compliments after having a fresh cut with her. Thank you Nancy! :)

What I've learned over the years is if I need a quick hair cut that is a basic trim and don't want to pay $35 to $65 for it then I go to a Supercuts or a Hairmasters. If i want to get a completely new look and hair color then I go to the more expensive places that are in the upper $100 to $200 range. This place to me is the place I go for that quick hair trim. I can't say that it is the worst I've been to because I came here crying one day after I had gone to an expensive place on Mercer Island to have someone fix my hair. At least I knew that someone at supercuts could put my hair back to a basic shape after I spent $250 to have someone at the "fancy salon" butcher it. This particular place has gone through staff and managment changes a couple times because I don't always see the same crew there every time I go, but I would say... it is an "ok" place and plan to go again... because after Christmas I don't have $200 to spend on my hair. :)

Good haircuts but only accepts coupons that are printed out. They refused take my digital coupon. Come on, it's 2018.
