Superica

It was our first time here but definitely not our last. We were in town on business and decided to stop in. The atmosphere was very inviting and the staff was very friendly as soon as we walked in. We were seated quickly. Our server was Key and she did an amazing job, she was very knowledgeable of the menu and made a few suggestions but didn't pressure us to choose just what she recommended. The salsa and chips were brought out and honestly it was the best I've ever had. The green was an avocado based which toned down the heat of the other salsa. I chose to order the revolver cocktail, which was delicious, and my wife chose a Corona, as for food I chose the chicken nachos and my wife had the chicken tingas tacos. The chicken on my nachos was delicious, it had a really good smoked taste, and her tacos were delicious also. I highly recommend stopping if you're in the area. I noticed that all the staff seemed happy and were pleasant doing their job, which is very hard to find now. Whatever the managers are doing PLEASE keep it up. The restroom was very clean and well stocked and the overall restaurant was very clean. I'm sure all the staff are very good but when I return I'll definitely ask for Key again!!!!!!

All 3 entrees purchased were the best tacos I have ever tasted. No joke. I had the fried catfish tacos, Grandson had the fried pork belly tacos with grilled pineapple and husband had the fried pork belly w/ a guava glaze.

The chips and two types of salsa were delicious. I really enjoyed the burger. I wish they had WiFi information easily displayed somewhere. Overall, I would recommend eating here.

Enjoyed our brunch. Our server DaShaa was great! The food was 5 stars. The pancakes melt in your mouth. Everything was great even the orange juice was tasty. The queso was good but overpriced. We will be back and bring family when they visit.

I shared the chicken fajita platter and added on steak and pork. Each bite was so full of flavor! The meat was juicy, tender, and grilled to perfection! Not to mention the handmade tortillas, rice, salsas... every bit of this dish was hitting the right notes!

The food was good. The service was amazing. I got there literally 20 minutes before closing time and they still served me and found me a great place to sit. I really appreciate the customer service I tried to eat at several restaurants that day but they were “closing early”. So I really appreciate them for going above and beyond to still service me even tho it was close to closing time. I will def be back the food and atmosphere was amazing. The food was very affordable. The drinks were great!

Great service, huge portions, and killer queso. Loved the piccadillo enchiladas.

Great service, solid michelada, and the salsas they serve with their chips might be favorite of any restaurant I have ever been to. All the food was incredible except the spicy gulf shrimp - they were over cooked and cold. The fajitas are perfectly cooked and the garlic butter and homemade tortillas are divine, even the salad is incredible. Our server Michelle was on point, she had multiple tables including a giant birthday party that she lit candles and brought a cake too, but was still on top of it and made it look easy.

Love superica! The fajitas here are so good, I love my steak medium rare to rare and they really do cook it so perfectly. The whole restaurant is also beautiful! Our waiter was super friendly and very attentive to our group of 3. Margs are also 10/10!

My daughter LOVES this place. It's one of her go to. So, of course, it's where we went when I was in town visiting. The ambiance is typical, staff we everywhere although not very attentive. The food...nothing special. As a native Texan and a huge Mexican food fan, I have experienced more than my fair share. And this was...nothing special, not even particularly good. I'm writing this review weeks later. Maybe I made a mistake in trying their specialities' versus just a standard taco or quesadilla. Would I go again? Yes, because my daughter LOVES it. Would I ever choose this? No. Just my 2 cents.

I am a mega fan of Little Rey, so I had always wanted to dine at Superica, but never got around to it. Until today. I was glad to taste some familiar favors from Little Rey (salsas with the chips are the same). Those were delicious as always, and the highlight of the visit. I ordered the grilled chicken chili relleno, and it was mediocre at best. It was swimming in water/ liquid. I was expecting a stuffed poblano or something--but it was just a sliced piece of pepper with globs of stuff piled on top. The flavors didn't work. I felt the prices were a pinch high for the food. I may visit again, but will order more selectively- or just have a drink.

The soup and salad were both above par. The soup had a wonderful rich flavor to the broth. It was heavy on hominy and had maybe 1 1/2 oz of chicken meat. I added salsa to it. All and all, a very good soup. The salad was also very good. The two green salsas were refreshing and the spicier hot sauce was wonderful. The chips were fresh. The service was substantial. They seemed a little understaffed with waitstaff--a common problem in the restaurant industry today. The ambiance was creepy to me. I do NOT enjoy looking at the heads and horns of dead animals while I eat. A dude definitely signed off on the interior design. Very good--not great. I will return. Parking is good because the strip mall is not very busy.

Fantastic! Service was excellent. Food came out quickly and all of our orders were accurate. Tried the chicken fajitas with the pork belly add on. Definitely recommend! It's way too much food for one person but the pork belly is delicious. Jalapeño margarita is delicious with just the right amount of spice. Chips are thin, crunchy, and deliciously salty.

Still loving this place, no matter the location. Recently tried and enjoyed their ensalada thats is a generous mixture of kale and mixed greens, radish slices, shredded blanco cheese, and a delightful house dressing that resemples a beautifly- light ranch dressing. Try adding your favorite protein to beef it up! LOVE

I met a friend there this past Saturday as I was craving Mexican food. I got to the restaurant and In saw that it said Parrilla. I asked the waiter and he mentioned that it was basically a big fajita for two. BEST. DECISION. EVER. !. The hostess was very quick and sat me right away. (Make reservations, this place gets really busy on the weekends) The ambiance is nice and very contemporary. The restaurant is very spacious and the food has never disappointed. Every time I have to any of their 3 locations in Atlanta, the staff have been nothing but great! They have 2 salsas for dipping and one is better than the other but my favorite is the green salsa with a hint of the roasted salsa.

Superica was Super! Used the website seating list and we had a great table! The waitress was awesome and super helpful. I would definitely bring friends back.

Since moving to ATL I've managed to eat at all 3 Superica's and this location is IMO the best. The food is solid regardless of the location but this one has great wait staff. We have a 2 year old and each time the staff have been very accommodating with us. Maybe we also happen to come during slower times but the wait is usually not that long either which is also a plus. In terms of food, I usually get their fish tacos and each time they are perfectly made. Also, for the kid's portion, it's pretty large so we always end up taking some back home. Good value for the price, great food, great service and kid friendly is why we will keep coming back.

I can't believe I've waited soooo long to try Superica. We made a stop by here with a group of friends and our group of 6 was seated in a few minutes. There's plentiful free parking in the lot out front. There's free salsa and chips and there are two different salsas! The green one is soooo good! I add a little red to the green and that is just delicious. The chips are so warm, thin, and crispy! Honestly some of the best chips ever. This could easily be my full meal. We got queso as well and I thought it was just okay, but I usually prefer white queso with nothing in it. I got the steak quesadilla and it hit so hard. The steak was so tender and flavorful. The beans were yums. The rice was fair but I enjoyed the toppings on the side for a build your own moment. With the chips and salsa, I'll definitely be back to grab some other items too! Yum!

*FOOD* We had the queso to start which was delicious. It was different than your typical queso at a restaurant - it had more of a flavor profile to it. For my entree, I got the Chicken Tacos Al Carbone, and they were delicious. To drink I had a frozen margarita, which was refreshing and not too sweet. *SERVICE* Be aware that you will have long wait if you come on a Friday or Saturday. It gets pretty packed, but you can find a place to hang with your drink while you wait. After it had surpassed our estimated wait time by a bit, I went up to the hostess to check on our place in line and they sat us immediately. Kourtlan served us and he was phenomenal. 10/10 service from him.

Oh, honey, let me tell you about this fiesta of flavors I experienced at Superica! So, I rolled up with my squad - you know, the Social Club GRLs ATL, all 20 of us. We were ready to turn a regular night into an epic story, and Superica did NOT disappoint! First off, the guacamole and tostadas... Sis, I swear it was like an avocado had a baby with a flavor rainbow. It was fresh, creamy, and had just the right kick - we were scooping it up like there was gold at the bottom of the bowl. But hold up, wait a minute, let me tell you about the Jalapeño Margarita. This ain't your grandma's margarita, honey. They mix Tanteo Jalapeño tequila with Ancho Reyes Verde, some Stirrings triple sec, and lime - and BAM! It's like a fiesta in a glass. I was sipping on this spicy little number and thinking, "Where have you been all my life?" And then came the Tacos de Camarones. Baby, these weren't just any shrimp tacos. These were like the Beyoncé of tacos - Gulf shrimp, drowning in scampi butter, nestled in cheesy tortillas, topped with cabbage slaw and morita chile mayo. Each bite was a performance, and let me tell you, they deserved a standing ovation. Now, let's not forget the vibe. With 20 of us GRLs laughing, sipping, and dining, you'd think we'd overwhelm the place, right? Wrong! Superica was more welcoming than a southern grandma's house on Thanksgiving. The staff was vibing with us, keeping those margaritas flowing and the guac coming. It was like they were part of the fam! So, if you're looking for a place that's got the flavor, the fun, and can handle the fabulous chaos of your girl gang, Superica is where it's at. Trust me, you'll leave planning your next visit before you even walk out the door. Superica, you're the real MVP!

Decided to surprise a family member who works here. With all the travel, my mind forgot it was Saturday. When we walked in, I couldn't figure out why this place was "happening!" After we ate, I realized why! We were told it would be about a 15 min wait and that was roughly how long we waited. And definitely worth it because the tacos are some of the best I've ever eaten! Usually back home, they taste the same-bland! The drinks were flowing and I'm sure good-I opted for beer :( I like the options of diff salsas with chips. I like the decor also, def a Tex mex vibe. If you're wanting quiet, this isn't for you lol it was very busy, again Saturday, and loud with music and voices. I'm a people watcher, so perfect for me!

Really enjoyed my first experience here. Wanted to spend some time outside during the workday and was able to have a plentiful lunch on a pretty patio doing so. This whole restaurant is beautiful but I especially appreciated the awnings, shade, and heaters on the patio - guaranteed comfort. My food was also really enjoyable and great value for the price. I'm excited to visit again and try the brunch menu.

Solid delivery from the bartending crew. Always a win with the Tacos de Barbacoa. Pancakes on the weekends---top notch.

holy shit. this place is surprisingly good. reviews seemed meh so i wasn't expecting much. ambiance incredible due to subdued lighting. let's stick a pin in that and i can always discuss further if you insist. but let's get into the food. i ordered steak fajitas. duh. good quality skirt steak. nice charro beans. incredible salsas. place delivers

They have the best fajitas! Everything is delicious at Superica, but the fajitas are my go-to here. I actually crave them too much. Fun atmosphere and friendly staff. They are always busy so take advantage of getting on the list through their website.

I came here with some friends for dinner before a concert at Chastain Amphitheater. It was a Tuesday night and there was plenty of parking in the lot and we were seated immediately which I appreciated. To start, we ordered a few drinks. I had the Pomegranate Margarita. It wasn't the strongest or largest margarita I've had but was still pretty good and refreshing. My friends also tried the O.G., Frida, and Warrior which were also pretty decent as well. Our server brought us chips and salsas as well which I really liked! She did a great job explaining the flavors (one was an avocado/cilantro, the other was a smokier chipotle) and I loved how unique and different they were! For dinner, I ordered the shrimp tacos. They are pricy for Mexican food, however, the portions are MASSIVE and I definitely would have taken leftovers home if I didn't have the concert right after! My shrimp tacos were absolutely delicious and they definitely had a kick to them (our server made sure to let me know ahead of time!). I loved the sauce and all the toppings on the tacos. The beans that were served with them were also pretty good. Everyone else's food also came in generous portions and was delicious! Overall, I really enjoyed Superica!

I stopped at Superica with some co-workers while I was in Atlanta on a work trip. Overall it was a good place but nothing set it apart for me from other Mexican restaurants that would entice me to seek it out. The wait staff was awesome. Super friendly and attentive during our visit. The food was good, but on par with what you can find at many other restaurants in the same theme.

As a true Superica enthusiast, I must say this place is a must-try. I've been hooked on their flavorful fajitas and well-crafted homemade tortillas for years. However, I can only give it a 4/5 due to our experience last Friday in Buckhead. I always bring family and friends here when they're in town, and this time was no different. What's incredibly embarrassing is raving about a place you love, only to encounter the worst service you've ever had in the city and an infestation of fruit and drain flies swarming over your food and drinks. I won't name our waitress, but we arrived at 4:15 PM when the restaurant was about 20% full. It took ten minutes and our prompting to get a server, despite her walking by multiple times without acknowledging us. When she did approach us, she was incredibly rude throughout the entire experience - not sure if we should have apologized for sitting at her table and having a $170 tab but it felt like we were inconveniencing her. Flies got into our water and margaritas, which we had to ask to be remade, although we never got more water or even an ask if we wanted another round. My nephew couldn't even get a refill on his Coke Zero. After we finished eating, it took another 15 minutes to get her attention for the check, which she threw on the table without a word of apology or a polite farewell. I would have shared this feedback with management, but no one was available or doing their normal rounds. Despite this, I'll return for the great food, though I'll probably wait a few months for them to handle the bug issue and hopefully improve their service.

Superica is a beloved Atlanta favorite. Whenever I go, it reminds me of the Nashville location and brings me back to the days of honky tonking around Broadway and 2nd Avenue and being an alt scene kid in a town full of country music stars. Superica is a Ford Fry restaurant - and it comes with the va va voom you would expect. The inside of the restaurant makes me feel like Im in the middle of Texas and replicates a lot of the vibes of the places I went to eat at in Austin. I ordered three tacos: tacos de barbacoa, tacos al pastor, and tacos de camarones (shrimp.) The camarones was my favorite, covered in morita chile mayo. The al pastor meat was a little on the dry side, but did taste much better once I warmed it up the next day. There isn't a surplus of Tex Mex in Atlanta, but Superica shines its light in the land of wings and pulled pork.

LOVE me some Superica. I'm here at least 2 to 3 times a month. I like that there is a big free parking lot. You might not get front row parking, but there is usually a few spots open. I like coming for lunch or early dinner (6-6:30ish) otherwise the place gets very busy. We are usually seated right away or have a short 10-15 min wait when we do early dinner. They do not take reservations. You are able to join the "waitlist" on their website, which is usually accurate. I try to do that as I'm getting ready if I know they're gonna be busy. They start you off with chips and 2 salsas. One is like a mole-based salsa and it's pretty good, but the green salsa, I will drink with a straw if given the opportunity. I usually get either a spicy margarita or a ginger margarita. Sometimes I get a spicy ginger margarita if I'm feelin' wild. I really like the margaritas here! They are good and reasonably priced! For food, I get the ensalada de las casa ($13) with chicken fajita (add $5) if I'm trying to be healthier. $18 seems like a lot for a salad but I PROMISE it's worth it. It is a huge salad that I almost never finish. The dressing is so good. Sometimes we will get the fajitas with half-pound chicken which is $30 but is enough for 2 people after all the chips and salsa. The fajitas come with choice of homemade flour or corn torilla, charro beans, sour cream, cheese, pico, guac and mexican butter. The BUTTER is so good, ask for extra. Pour it on your protein and then pour extra over your fajita that you made. You're welcome. I don't really like the charro beans, so I get refried instead if I remember. Our favorite server is Olivia! She is the best!

The food and service was really good! We went for convo de Mayo and there was little to no wait. The drinks were strong and tasty. They are happy to make substitutions for you. The ambiance was nice as well, well decorated. But a little cramped

Location, location, location. That and good food come together at this Superica. Located on the east side of the Beltline on Krog street, I visited this spot for brunch since I had already been for dinner. The brunch menu left room for more, but the service and food is still consistent. Whitney took great care of us on the patio. We ordered one hot cake for the table to share. This was a LARGE pancake that came with a caramel flavored syrup that was to die for. I ordered the Huevos rancheros, with my eggs over medium instead of sunny side up. The avocados were fresh and a good complement to the dish. My wife got the Huevos Mexicanos which came with some tortillas to make our own breakfast tacos. This was my favorite of the meals. My brother got the steak and eggs which was a skirt steak cooked to order with rice and one egg over what looked like a chilaquules. I got the mimosas to drink, which I hoped they was bottomless mimosas, but alas it was still only one per order. The food has always been consistent which is why I gave this place 4 stars but I think they could do with a brunch menu refresh.

Elevated Tex Mex....very nice place to go and won't break the bank but you will still get that fun and vibrant feel. Anything Ford Fry is involved with will be amazing. Highly Recommend

If there's ONE place I want to wait for two hours with limited seating, it's Superica! While we waited I ordered a couple ginger margaritas... literally perfect. Sweet and spicy and strong enough to help me bear the company of my husband. The food was really good too! Big portions and amazing hot sauce options. The green sauce is a slay. My only complaint is the taxidermied animals. I felt extremely guilty eating my chicken quesadilla while a taxidermy bird was staring at me. If you have three hours to waste, I highly suggest this restaurant!

I ate here before a concert nearby and really enjoyed it. It is more expensive compared to a lot of the traditional American Mexican places, but it definitely is better quality food and a more expansive menu. They have some really unique drinks and a lot of food choices on the menu. I got a drink, can't remember the name of it, but it was really good. My friend and I split the queso with chorizo in it to start and it was delish. They have 2 complimentary salsas that were really good too. I ended up getting a steak quesadilla which was one of the best, if not the best I've ever had. My friend got the enchiladas that have ground beef in them and loved them. The refried beans were great and overall the food was really tasty and high quality. The service was good and the atmosphere was really nice. It's a big restaurant and has a good vibe so this is a great place for large groups or celebrations. They have a few separate seating areas and a bar as well. I really liked this place and will be back to this location or try one of the others!

My friend and I settled on having brunch at Superica. She's a big fan of their food and raved that the hot cakes were not just delicious, but the size of my head. She wasn't lying - they're huge! Both of us together couldn't finish it, partially because it was overloaded with sweetness. Per her recommendation, I ordered the Huevos Rancheros. The bacon was a bit too tough for me, but the sunny side eggs were cooked to perfection! The rest of the ingredients - avocado, fried beans, and ranchero sauce - worked really well together. Also, they serve complimentary nachos with salsa. I don't know what they put in their salsa, but it is absolutely one of the best I've ever had! Lastly, I loved the decor of this restaurant, and our waiter was very attentive and helpful!

Atmosphere is great. Beer is cold and cheap. Doing way too much with the Al Pastor Tacos, save your money for a food truck. Would try again but wouldn't go out of the way for.

I've you're grabbing a Mexican brunch, Superrica is the spot! We had so much food here, staying with their homemade red and green salsas with chips, and we also had an order of their queso! For the entrees, I had a delicious Chile relleno and my girlfriend had some of the most amazing steak fajitas! There wasn't any left overs on anyone's plate, and I'm already planning a trip to come back here next time I'm in the Atlanta area. And yes, it is worth the drive if you're not super close

We went to the Buckhead location so there's plenty of parking space. The place is always crowded so it's best to check the waitlist on their website and put your name in the waitlist before you depart, it will help saving some waiting time. When you arrive, check in with the host to make sure your name in the waitlist. They will text you when it's your turn. They don't take reservation. It's our first time going to Superica. Even though it's a week day night, it was very crowded. The waiting area is very full since people who comes for pickup order are also waiting in the same area. The staffs are friendly. Everyone is busy so it's best to order and ask for what you need at once. Their complimentary chips and dips taste very good. We had - Steak fajita quesadilla - Gulf red snapper: grilled whole fish on the bone The fish dish go with avocado and tomatillo salsa but I'm allergic so the server changed the sauce to foam butter for me which taste very good. We had a good time, and the food is delicious. The interior is well-decor, and the ambience is good. The place is crowded but the high ceiling helps easing out the sounds so it doesn't feel super loud and noisy as other restaurant. If you're into Tex-Mex cuisine, this place is highly recommended.

I had dinner here with some friends on a Wednesday and had the chicken fajita quesadillas as my entree and ordered the tacos al pastor to go for my spouse. The food was delicious and came out piping hot! The service was a bit slow, but the waitress was super nice. The ambiance of the place is great and really leans into Tex-Mex. I will note that the quesadillas description mentions coming with guacamole, but my plate did not have that. While I was a bit disappointed, it wasn't enough for me to complain to the waitress, and she didn't stop by until bringing the check. The tacos al pastor were great, but my spouse did mention that there were some pretty dry pieces of meat in it. He loved the soup that came with it!

This place was sooooo good! My friend and I came here for the first time and they didn't disappoint! We started off with chips/salsa and pomegranate margaritas..... BOMB the margaritas were so flavorful and I added extra simple syrup... cause I'm a sugar addict. We then got our enchiladas, they looked soooo good. My friend go the chicken suizas (first pic) and I got the classic chicken enchiladas. She said hers was very good! My enchiladas were also amazing. The meat was shredded perfectly and the rice and beans complimented it so well. I got black beans because the refried beans have some pork in them. 10/10 definitely coming back! Our waiter was also very nice and made sure all of our food was great. :)

The last review from 2023 and it's a spicy one! Continuing from my October work trip in Atlanta, the team decided to reward ourselves on a job well done at market. There were (12-13) people in our party. The bulk of us were there as I think it was required in order to be seated. I didn't make the reservations but do remember waiting because our table wasn't ready or the lack of people in our party wasn't present. However as the remaining party slid in throughout the beginning of the serving process, it was Christin our waitress for me. She deserved a raise and here's why! The amount of orders she took, placed and didn't get any of them wrong was impeccable! She NEVER caught an attitude, was knowledgeable of the menu and had recommendations based on our taste buds. If I can tip her again, I would! What's her social media handle or preference of app payments?!?!? Thoughts on the food... Street styled Tacos de Pescado, which were the taco catfish, was seasoned and cooked to golden brown perfection. The crunchiness from each bit and flakiness of the fish falling out of my taco, if I accidentally missed my mouth. It even had a kick to it! Or it could have been the Tommy's Margarita that was muddle jalapeño. It was a bold blend with my entree that I didn't know my life need it. My second and final drink was Under Volcano with Tanteo Habanero. I can't remember how it tasted for the life of me! But I intentionally stayed in the spicy tequila category to prevent liquor mixing. My phone didn't eat first so no picture(s) but it's a restaurant to experience.

She got the Five Stars! I had the El Frio Margarita with Tajen. I would recommend it highly.

Smells awesome, if only somebody would say hello or perhaps find me a table so I can sit down and eat. Second time I've been in and it's not looking good. Stopped by five minutes ago thinking I would treat myself to some food that somebody else cooked and not only did 5 people pass me by and not even say hello, the one waitress I saw carrying plates spoke to me and asked me if anybody had helped me after id been waiting five minutes. I don't mind the wait its being purposefully ignored by employees walking right in front of me! The working waitress was obviously going to take somebody their food so couldn't stop and seat me or get someone right then. Perhaps the only person who looks like they're actually working should be the hiring manager, or better yet, the person who trains employees! There were also a couple of employees stopping to take a break in the lounge area and just when i was thinking I should sit down a guy came in with a plate and pulled the curtains. I'm now in my car, yet again disappointed and thinking at least at home I don't have to wait to be seated and it's a lot less expensive. Wouldn't know if my cooking is better or not as I've not been able to actually eat at Superica. So sad.

The service was terrible and the food was way overpriced! $100 for Texas fajitas! I almost fell out of my chair!

Came to Superica for a quick dinner! I don't think you can go wrong with Mexican style food. Prices at Superica are tad higher than some of the other restaurants in the metro area but I will say it has a bit of an elevated feel to support that. I recommend the Queso Fondue which is Queso with a dollop of guacamole, sour creme and I believe salsa. The enchiladas are delicious and quite hearty. You can mix and match them and have an egg fried on top. It also comes with rice and beans on the side to leave you stuffed! Drinks are strong and I enjoyed my Ginger Margarita. I recommend if you haven't been or if you are in town visiting!

Tacos al pastor were amazing! I substituted rice for the beans. The grilled pineapple added a great flavor.

Good food, okay service. We spent about the first 15 minutes waiting for someone to come around and ended up grabbing silverware, plates, and pitchers of water to serve ourselves. Other than that, the food itself came quickly and tasted great! Fresh thin tortilla chips with good salsa. The quest and guac were also excellent. The steak tacos were season and cooked to perfection, very tender meat. Lastly, the rice was a bit dry and flavorless.

The food was all right. It did take a little while for it to come out. We went on a Saturday afternoon. When we went online, it said that they were closed but in person they were open. The Chile Relleno was good and very flavorful 10 out of 10 would get again. The hamberguesa was very salty, and did not have much flavor at all. The fries were also very salty and gross. The chips and salsa was great in the rice and beans was also great. All in all I think that Chile relleno took the cake. I'm not sure if I will be back for lunchtime, but maybe we will try our brunch in the future.

Everything about Superica was super except the wait but that's kind of our fault because we decided to go on a Friday around 7:00. They do have a list where you can call ahead and put your name on it before you arrive. We did that and we still had to wait about 20 minutes once we arrived. Superica calls itself "Tex-Mex" so it's a little different than a traditional Mexican restaurant. They have indoor and outdoor seating with a big full-service bar where you can wait until your table is ready. We had a really friendly server named Brittany and she immediately brought us water and two baskets of the fresh, delicious, crispy chips, and 2 kinds of salsa. She was super enthusiastic about the food and explained many of the menu items and gave us her recommendations. For drinks I wanted something like a skinny margarita and she recommended the El Frio, my daughter ordered a sangria, and her boyfriend ordered Tommy's Margarita. All the drinks were delicious and we enjoyed them with even more of the yummy chips. I ordered the Tacos Carbon with chicken. They were different than the usual type of tacos because they were rolled up in a thick flour tortilla and full of flavorful chunks of chicken with a delicious sauce. They also came with pico de gallo and beans. My daughter's boyfriend had the same style tacos but with pork, he really loved his too. My daughter had the large salad with grilled chicken. She said it was great! None of us were able to finish our meals because we had so many of the awesome chips before our meals came. We definitely enjoyed our first visit to Superica and everything was delicious! Our experience was made even more enjoyable because Brittany was a delightful server. She gave us lots of information about the food and drink menu items; plus she checked on us often and kept our waters and bowls of chips full......we will be back!

Superica, aptly named, for everything about the meal was superior! Chef Ford Fry is a Texan, so he knows Tex-Mex. A smokey red salsa and a green salsa were brought to the table with chips which were just right, not too thick or too thin. The queso was damn good as well. Their margaritas were delicious and strong! The agua chile tostada was loaded with shrimp and snapper ceviche, a smoked jalapeño salsa, cilantro, and sliced radishes. A squeeze of lime gave it a fresh and bright flavor. I can't tell you how many times I've been dissatisfied with the fajitas I've tried at numerous Mexican restaurants. Superica's were outstanding! The skirt steak was marinated then grilled. So, so good! I'd say they were the best I've ever tasted. They came with all the usual toppings and a side of charro beans with bits of pork. The beans were spicy and well-seasoned with Mexican oregano, cumin, and coriander. I cannot wait to try some of their other dishes! They don't take reservations, but you can join the waitlist online. Our lunch started off kind of rocky. We were told there'd be a 20 minute wait, which is totally fine, but then we started seeing person after person who came in after us getting seated... it turns out the host had put in the wrong phone number. Travesty of all travesties, their mistake put us at a high-top instead of a booth... but the upside was we were treated to fantastic service by our server, Demetri. Side note, there was a table of two seated next to us who were so upset that Superica was out of pancakes, they went out of their way to make Demetri feel bad (based on what we could hear). I'm not an expert but coming to a Tex-Mex restaurant "just for pancakes" at 2 PM on a Sunday seems like poor planning on their part. May I suggest The Original Pancake House? Nevertheless Demetri was very kind and never lost his smile while serving them! The baked tortilla and guac is a must alongside their delicious chips and salsa - a perfect starter. I almost filled up on starters alone. We also ordered jalapeño margaritas and they were SO good, the only thing I'd change is a little less ice so it doesn't water down so quickly! I enjoyed the chicken verde enchiladas very much and my wife loved her veggie queso! No complaints at all on the food, it was tasty and filling. The enchiladas came smothered with refried beans, sour cream, cheese.... delightful. Overall, the food and drinks were tasty and our server was attentive - we'll definitely be coming back in the future for more jalapeño margs.

I have been to Superica Buckhead, The Battery, and Krog St. They are all excellent when it comes to food and service. This review is for Buckhead. I have been to this location the most. 3-4 times in total. This is the closest location to my house...until Dunwoody opens which I think is about now, but haven't been yet. The parking at this location is a breeze. It's in a large shopping center so parking has never been an issue. Be warned, this is an extremely busy restaurant. I highly recommend that you put your name on the waitlist online before going. Last time I went it was a Friday night and the wait time for a party of 3 was 1 hour and 45 minutes. And it took that entire time. But we had put our name in advance so timed our arrival accordingly. I absolutely love their queso fundido with chorizo. For the two salsas served with the chips, it is best to mix the green and the red together. Super creamy with a kick, but not too hot. Their cheese enchiladas are the real Tex-Mex deal. The fajitas (big enough to share for 2) are amazing with the provided butter sauce. It is not cheap Mexican food, but you get quality for what you are paying. I highly recommend Superica, just plan ahead accordingly.

Great staff. Great good and even better drinks. Gets really crowded after 5pm. Great for dates, gathering with friends or even solo at the bar. Oh and HUGE portions.

Another great dinner tonight. Just great salsa and the steak topped nachos were, as usual, excellent! Waitress (Shakira ? spelling) was outstanding!!! Wife's nachos were great and son's tacos were great. And this time, the online wait list thing worked and we walked right in. Nice!

It's our favorite place to lunch, brunch, and have dinner and margaritas Badass apps and an amazing freaking meal that you can split with someone the portions are so huge. Sometimes we just go for a few apps and margs like here. I'm A texas girl and this is my favorite Tex mex Restaurant .... Just saying y'all.

Had dinner at Superica after the concierge at our hotel suggested it. The good: 1. Food came out quickly. 2. Service is friendly. 3. Location is great. 4. Chips are good. The not-so-good: 1. The food is really just average at best. I had the vegetarian fajitas and it was tasteless...literally just a pile of red cabbage (?) with a few other vegetables mixed in. 2. Prices are really high for the quality and quantity of food. My fajitas were $28.00 which is a lot considering how lacking the meal was. We won't return.
