A delicious sitdown pizza experience. Cool pizza trays and everything. Surprisingly great pasta too.

Pizza and pasta. Food's pretty good but it's a vibe I enjoy.

The first places I am going to eat at when Toronto opens up

Google
Superpoint absolutely delivered! The pizza was phenomenal, not oily, just the right amount of flavour and crisp. We ordered a squash and kale salad alongside, and it paired beautifully with their cocktails. Highly recommend getting a drink with your meal! We sat on the outdoor patio and the summer vibes were perfect - casual, inviting, and well-paced. This is definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!

We were actually on our way to another place down the street but saw a pizza on a bench and was convinced to stay. We got the vodka pizza and spicy rigatoni. The rigatoni was indeed spicy and flavorful, pasta cooked al dente. The pizza was pretty good although didn’t really get the spicy vodka sauce flavor I was expecting, it was more marinara, aside from that good crust and portion sizes. Pizza did take some time but we spent time people watching… lots of good people watching if you sit outdoors lol - you can only order full menu items if you choose to dine in, only pick up slices at the window

Came here because of Dave Portnoy. Seriously Amazing Pizza. What a crush all the way through. Yes a crunch. So good. Fresh ingredients for pizzas made to order or slices to go. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Clean facility. Clean washrooms. No credit card surcharge. Free WiFi. Some outdoor seating available.

Google
Super-not-on-point suits this place better. Not impressed with the cheese pie we ordered. Bland cheese, unbalanced use of garlic and oregano in the sauce, though it was saved by a decently crispy dough. If your cheese is bland, you have a major problem on your hands. I think what really sealed the deal for me was the waitresses' total disregard for basic manners such as "thank you". Call me old-fashioned, but I believe an appropriate response would be "you're welcome" or "no worries", not a cold shoulder. Perhaps it signals to patrons that their business is valued and apprecuated. Clearly, the hipsters of Ossington don't agree. A bland, middle of the road, forgettable joint in my book that's dragged down by apathetic staff.

Google
Great causal spot to enjoy a comfort meal. The hickory sticks on the caesar salad were interesting. The pizza was fantastic and so was their meat sauce.

Google
Super friendly staff, pizza leaves a lot to be desired. There are much better slices in the city. Also it was incredibly hot inside.

Google
I kid you not. Amazing food and amazing people. BUT! The best pizza in the world hides in this place. You need to come in, sit down and order the honey burrata pizza. The perfect balance of crispy, sweet, salty... just perfect! A must try and a must have. Their Cesar salad is good too, but that pizza... has me coming back years later! The pizza is so good they don't even offer it as a takeout.

Dave

Google
Came for a pizza slice, but was pleasantly surprised by their arancini ball! It is super cheesy and delicious 🤤. Nice big portion for a pizza slice. It was good, but a bit too oily for my liking. When i go back I'll definitely get a whole pizza to taste if it's better when fresh out of the oven. The guy at the takeout counter was quite friendly and attentive. Some nice benches outside too.

Yelp
This cute pizza joint is incredible! It's small but so adorable. I love the vibes inside. I absolutely love the ambiance and how it's dark. Great to eat at with friends or a chill date. The service is great. Super quick and friendly. We were able to get a table right away (made reso before hand that day). For food, we ordered their Caesar salad which had hickory sticks in it. It was DELICIOUS! It was huge and we split it one order 4 ways as an appetizer. Always love a good salad esp one with a twist 5/5 Pictured is their burrata and honey pizza 18'. It was SO YUMMY!!! Slices are huge so I recommend sharing. The honey gave this sweet flavour and the cheese was sooo divine. 5/5 I would 100% come back again!!!

Yelp
Had some drinks, calamari, and arancini (interesting cream and corn sauce). Everything was a hit and it was a nice little stop on a fun night out! Will need to come back for pizza on another occasion but was pleasantly surprised with our dishes.

Yelp
We sat at the bar at this small obscure dining spot. We got the spicy Hawaiian pizza. I was very disappointed by the quantity of toppings on the pizza but even more so by the fact that they served us a burnt pizza. Honestly, we were so hungry that we didn't say anything, but the staff aren't very friendly either and we just wanted to eat and get out.

Yelp
The Caesar salad might be the best one I've ever had in my entire life. But the pizza is super...SUPER Greasy. It tastes great, but just so greasy. Refer to photo.

Yelp
3.5/5 Good pizza and probably best (non-Neopolitan) pizza on Ossington Ave. Ordered plain (cheese) pie with extra cheese ($31 for 18" pie, + tax + 15% tip came to $40 so don't know if they charged us for extra topping) and asked for "nearly well-done." Firstly: One of the most amazing flavour profiles for a pizza we've ever had in Toronto...They clearly finished the pie with a topping/herb that changed the flavour significantly, in a fantastic way. It might have been a blend, but I tasted oregano. In addition, a generous amount of Parmesan was also added at the end (maybe a bit too much, since I found it a bit overly salty). Both, coupled with the amazing tomato sauce and savoury cheese made this a unique tasting plain pie. The dough was properly thin, outer edge has some air bubbles, no hint of sweetness. But main issue is it seemed the dough was a bit stale/dry. The dough did seem a bit drier than a fresher dough should present. So can't reccomend a "well-done" pie from here, unfortunately. The sauce was superb. Not watery, with a chunky-like texture, and had great brightness without any hints of sweetness, or blandness. Easily one of the best tasting in the city. On a well-done pie, this was very impressive. Cheese was "fine." Enough to have a solid "umami" flavour compliment the excellent tomato sauce. Overall, the biggest letdown was the dough, which didn't hold up well to being almost well-done and thus the value drops here. But, a must-try for the unmatched unique flavour profile. Decent alternative to North Of Brooklyn @ Get Well Bar (1181 Dundas W.) about a 3 minute walk away (do note, as of this writing, an arguably superior 18" pie at NOB is $26, $5.00 less than Superpoint). With North Of Brooklyn and Pizzeria Libretto within walking distance, Superpoint is a valid Top 3 pie in the entire area (west of Trinity-Bellwoods Park). Better than Pizza Nostra (Mississauga), and rivaled Conzo's.

Yelp
Haven't been to Superpoint for many years and tried their pepperoni slice during Ossingtonfest. It came out super hot & fresh, it was cheesy, dough was chewy in a good way. They still had it! $8 for a big slice!
google avatar

Yelp
This is a really dope, some would say - hole in the wall, place! It could be easy to miss when driving by because it's in between a couple of things but you don't wanna miss this place. It's wooden ambiance gives cabin in the woods with a huge fire and oven baked pizza that you handmade yourself haha Upon walking in, you see the guy making the pizzas fresh with the oven right behind him. The server sat us down immediately at a table for 2 and she was very friendly which is always a plus! The menu is quite small but that was fine because we came there on a mission to try "Canadian pizza" as we're from the states and we were led to this spot as one of the best. We immediately ordered the pepperoni (i wish they had more meat choices). It was good! Not too greasy with just the right amount of ingredients. The sauce was tasty as well. The crust was not finished by either of us as it was on the harder side. We enjoyed it overall!

Yelp
Good pizza but not a fan. Pros: - Big slices - Garlic dip was good - Fast service and hot Con: - Expensive - Taste did not match hype - A bit oily

Yelp
Super Point is right in the heart of the Ossington strip and usually pretty busy. I haven't sat down for dine-in just takeout for pizzas. Food (4/5) - i've had the Margherita and the Shroom. Dough was nice and chewy with firm crust... just right amount of crispiness overall. Enjoyed the Margherita... the Marzano tomato sauce is well balanced and tasty. Funghi was OK... mushrooms were fine but sauce seemed to lack flavour. Service (4/5) - generally prompt for a busy place. They build the pizzas on the counter right by the entrance so you can see it being put together. Atmosphere (4/5) - it seems pretty busy for dine-in. Dimmer lighting and lively tables all around. Will continue to test out the rest of the menu.

Yelp
Went on a pizza tour and this was one of the key stops, as it turns out it was one of the best slices of the day. Best of all there's no line for slices! The cheese slice is delicious with plenty of herbs on top, and it made for a uniformly delicious bite. This is definitely one of the top slices you'll find in Toronto.
google avatar

Michelle W.

Yelp
Decided to stop by and grab a slice after visiting all the summer markets along Ossington. I've heard great things so I had high expectations! There was no line for slices and the staff helped me immediately. What I Got: - Mushroom, Pancetta, and Onion Slice Final Thoughts: Coming in at around $7 the slice was a good size and heated up for you. The pizza itself was very thin, but I found the crust a bit burnt and too hard. There was a good amount of cheese and the toppings were very flavorful but I wish they were distributed better on the pie as it was basically just a cheese pizza after a few bites. I also found the slice to be pretty salty, but I'll be back to try different slices!

Laurel P.

Yelp
Ambiance was cool but the food just wasn't good (got a cheese pizza and a sausage pizza)
google avatar

Lester C.

Yelp
Good enough pizza in my books but I won't be a regular. Walked by and picked up a pepperoni slice on takeout. Was re heated up by the server who was really nice. Not enough pepperoni and nothing stood out. Venue looked nice inside. Maybe will be back one day to try sitting and perhaps revise my rating at that point. Until then, it's a 3/5.

Yelp
Fantastic pizza, and Caesar salad too. Oh, and the fried calamari is a must-try!!! The music was a little loud in the front area, but we moved to the back, and it was perfect.
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
First time here and loved it! Dim lights and very vibey. Definitely coming back to try other things on the menu. Fried Calamari - Whoa! This dish was pretty big. I feel like most restaurants give a small portion when you order calamari, but not here! It was really crispy and there was a lot. There was also a marinara sauce and shishito peppers serviced on the side. Marinara sauce was nothing special. Love shishito peppers! Salami Pizza - If you love a mix of sweet and salty this is it! This pizza was so good. It was really simple, big slices of salami and honey drizzled on top. It was just cooked to perfection. The crust was not too thick or too thin, perfect amount of crispness/ softness you would want in a crust. I also ate it with the shishito peppers, perf combo! Tagliatelle - This was recommended by the waiter, he said it was his favourite pasta dish out of the rest. However, I was disappointed at this dish. It was kind of bland and just had a tomato sauce taste to it. Out of all the things we got, this was not the best. Cocktails - they were pretty decent - Unky Herb: very refreshing - Fat Tony Spritz: taste pretty strong

Yelp
Middle Of toronto but worth the drive ! The store is kind of small little place , you will miss If your not paying attention ! but the pizza is great . Would give thr pizza a solid 9.0
google avatar

Jason C.

Yelp
Thought the pizza here was really good. We only got the cheese but I can without a doubt say it's probably the best cheese pizza I've ever had. Super fresh tomatoes and cheese and super flavorful despite not having any special toppings. Was about $7 a slice which is not bad for the size (basically a quarter of the pizza) while fast food places you're paying around $5 anyway. Would recommend.
google avatar

Charles C.

Yelp
No slices just pies brah. Pizza joints like this are low service and almost kinda rude like Chinese places. That's how you know it's good?? So say nah to the iPad tip and just enjoy those slick thin pies cooked on them garland^TM pizza ovens Having visited a couple times I would recommend the honey / salami pie - savoury x sweet it puts ya in a place where you forget about certain life issues for a while. Honestly would rank it top 10 pie joints in the city. Charles approves when in the west end.
google avatar

Lucia J.

Yelp
overall the food was excellent though I would say it's slightly overhyped. I would go without the meatballs next time as the meat was only OK. The Caesar salad though was amazing nine out of 10. The pasta was spicy tomatoy fresh flavorful. would get again. My main complaint was the seating area. We were placed in the back of the house which is fine but it was extremely hot and humid. within sitting in the first five minutes I already felt the heat. The ice in the water would melt within five minutes. there was a door in the back but they said best to not open it because there's rats. food was good but the ambience wasn't. if I could I would give it a 3.5 for more follow IG: @stay.hangry

Yelp
Super Point was BUSSSSSSIN! The 18 inch pies are literally the size of the table - we couldn't even finish it with three people! The Barata was sold out so we went with the Salami which lemme tell you was pretty good! I need to go back to try either the mushroom or barata! The pizza came out smoking hot and was $34 well worth it! Be sure to ask for the dill ranch because we love a good dip! The restaurants is a very snug restaurant with a few tables so be expect to wait unless you made a reservation. Our waiter was super duper nice and was cracking jokes with us! The fried calamari were HUGE!!!! A must get for the appetizer!

Yelp
Good pizza! Great music and lighting! Amazing service! Had a great Time here go check out superpoint!
google avatar

Sally L.

Yelp
Overrated. I've had better pizza in the city. Too much crust. We asked for a pizza cutter and they didn't have one . Not sure how they slice their pizzas.
google avatar

Michelle C.

Yelp
We went to Superpoint in Ossington for their extremely massive and delicious pizza. 2 pizzas for 5 people was an overkill, but we couldn't resist. We got the Spicy Hawaii and Salami pizzas and both had a kick to it. The Spicy Hawaii pizza was jam packed with jalapeños and delicious tomatoes and ham. We loved the drizzle of honey on the Salami pizza. The pizza dough was thin and the crust was crispy! I love how they also drizzle some cheese on top of the pizza right after it's freshly baked too! You have to come try their pizza if you haven't yet!
google avatar

Daniel A.

Yelp
Slow and snippy service, disgustingly pasty arancini, and soggy pizza. The calamari was good, but otherwise this place is a disaster.
google avatar

Kat P.

Yelp
34 degrees outside and about 50 degrees inside. This place offers indoor dining but not air conditioning. We ate as fast as possible to leave. The Caesar salad and pasta were ok. I don't like my pizza well done to the point the crust cracks like a cracker. With all that heat we chose rosé wine for something cold, only to have it served mildly chilled. Disaster.
google avatar

Michelle D.

Yelp
3.5/5 My friends arrived around 6pm and the place wasn't yet filled but afterwards, it got really busy. We ordered the large garlic knots (comes with 10 pieces, and 2 14" pizzas: pepperoni and capicollo. The garlic knots came first and they tasted good! No complains. The pepperoni and capicollo pizza came on two stand up racks which is so convenient! They definitely know how to maximize table space without huge pizzas swallowing up the table. The capicollo pizza came with roasted onion, garlic, and fresh basil. Both pizzas tasted good and I preferred the classic pepperoni. However, the pizza was nothing too special and for the price ($18+/pizza), there could be some improvement. It's cool though that they bake the pizzas to order. Water refills were not a problem, washrooms were clean, and service was good. Side note: the 14" already has a thin dough base so I can't imagine how thin the 18" pizza is. Warning: protect your pizzas from other customers' sTARES.
google avatar

Vi L.

Yelp
The pie we got was saltier than we were after we realized that we paid almost $40 for 8 slices of mediocre pizza. We ordered a Soppressata ($32+ tax) to go to share between three people. It looked and smelled so good and we were so hungry for pizza. We expected a nice salty salami balanced with hot honey, with a delicious herby parm finish--- as the ingredients seemed to describe, but what we got was SALTY SALAMI, SALTY CHEESE, SALTY SAUCE, SALTY CRUST... No honey at all. What happened? I'll give them this: through the salt, there were little bites where we were able to taste some really good Parmesan. Maybe they just forgot the honey and accidentally knocked over a box of salt over our pie. Who knows. It seems like a bunch of people had pretty great experiences here, but for us this place is going to be referred to as Super disapPoint.
google avatar

Lloyd L.

Yelp
That's a great a pizza pie! (I hope you read that in a bad Italian accent. It was meant to be read in a bad Italian accent) This was some dope pizza. A group of 3 of us planned to make the trek down here since it was number 7 on BlogTOs best pizza in Toronto, and man we must be in a treat for the top 6 because this place was dope. Be warned: their dining room is only open for certain hours. We went for 3 pm on a Saturday and it was close. We were told it would re-open at 6 pm. They have a tiny takeout area in the front that could probably hold 6 people comfortably. Do not plan to eat here if you're coming on non-peak hours. We ordered two 14" pizzas: I believe the first one was called Sobrasadda (for the sausage like meat) which was also topped with spicy honey (so fucking good), oregano, and parmesan. The other was the Mushroom Pizza, which had 2 types of mushrooms, two types of cheese, and a garlic sauce base. They were about $25 a pop. Not the cheapest, but super good. The pizzas were made in front of us (the oven is basically inside the takeout window in the small space) and fast. Both took about 15 mins. Great crisp to the crust on this pie. The dough is still fluffy and soft on the inside. This pizza is also LOADED with cheese. If you're even close to lactose, you'd die, but what a way to go. That spicy honey was bomb. I didn't find it spicy at all though. Chilli flakes were added for my preference, but it's good without it. Gentleman behind the counter was personable and friendly with everyone that came in, any about 15 people came in for slices while we were there. The spot is popular. I'll definitely be back.
google avatar

Kat J.

Yelp
Service was great but it was so loud I lost my voice by the end of the meal. That being said I did love the music. We got the fried zucchini which was on point and the garlic knots mmmmm. The Caesar salad was topped with hickory sticks (can I get a hell yeah?) and super garlicy in the best way. The pasta was fresh and epic. My only letdown was the asparagus it came in what felt like a pound of butter. It was just a bit much. Would go back again for sure though.

Jennifer L.

Yelp
Overpriced for what it is. There is way better pizza in the city. This is a $3 slice at best.
google avatar

Donna S.

Yelp
Super delicious pizza and apps! we had the olives which were truly delicious, and the mushrooms. Both items were well prepared and yummy. The soppressata pizza with honey was a perfect amount of spicy and sweet, I'll need to return to try their other pizzas and also pasta options too. The service is amazing and such a cute, atmosphere! Wines by the glass offered and my Spanish red paired very well with the pizza.
google avatar

Teena D.

Yelp
I love love love pizza and headed to Superpoint for a slice for lunch. It has been open since October. It's a small take-out in the front with a couple chairs and a restaurant in the back that's open later in the day. I ate my slice there. There were three kinds of slices to choose from and I got a pepperoni slice. It was okay. I liked the crust as it was light and crispy. I'm not a fan of parmigiana cheese and there was some sprinkled on the pizza. The guy making the pizzas and serving left a lot to be desired. I wasn't looking for him to be my best friend or anything but he wasn't friendly at all. For example, when I thanked him, he walked away. I thanked him again when I left and he ignored me. Wrong profession to be in if you don't like people, dude! I'd rate the pizza 2.5/5 and the guy 0/5. I won't be rushing back which is too bad because I love pizza, it's in my 'hood and I'd read good things about this place.

Yelp
Super Point Hack: How to Enjoy a Non-Libretto-or-Get-Well Pizza and Beer on Ossington: 1) Food: Wow, what a refreshing selection on the Ossington strip! Appetizers (warm olives, rice balls, shrimp and pork spring rolls, tomato bruschetta, grilled bread, beef carpaccio, burrata and peach, stracciatella, garlic and shrimp, king crab salad) range from $4-20. Soups and salads (soup of the day, caesar salad, tomato salad, grilled radicchio, beets on beets) go for $8-12. Pastas (lamb vavatelli, beef reginette) are about $15-16. Mains (quail saltimbocca, chicken parm, cheese burger, whole trout, 20-ounce ribeye) range from $12-85. Pizzas (cheese, pepperoni, peppers and gorgonzola, capicollo and olives, nduja deluxe) are about $12-17. Sides include the cheesy garlic bread for $7 - we tried this and it's sinfully delicious! 2) Drinks: sparkling, red, white, amber, and rose wines (too many to list!). Cocktails range fron $12-16. Beers (Woodhouse Lager, Asahi Dry, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Bench Sessions Ale, Rochefort Trappist, Beau's Lugtread, Sawdust City Lone Pine IPA, Bench Mosaic Dry Hop, Left Field Coffee Porter) are $6-12 but most are $9. Soft drinks include cola, fanta, grape, strawberry, pineapple, all $6 each. Caffeinated drinks include expresso, americano, cappucino, latte and teas, from $4 to $5. 3) Space: the space holds about 40 hipsters (but there's a takeout window too) with about 10-15 tables and 10 seats at the bar. The pizza oven, where you can watch the pizza makers do their magic, is at the front of the bar while the washrooms, graffitied in cool pizza-themed designs, are in the back, also near the main kitchen. Show up early because there can be a line to get it - not as long as Bang Bang, but it does get busy. From the creators of Bar Fancy (Chef Jonathan Poon), Super Point is a super cool snack bar perfect for an ice-cold beer and a pizza pie. It's at 184 Ossington, which is right next to Rashers. Look for the neon electric SUPER POINT sign and the takeout window. Its vibe is more upscale than Get Well but less formal than Libretto. Perfect for 2 or a large group of friends, Super Point is easily a classic hotspot for beer, pizza, and good-times along Ossington. Check out the coasters, they're wicked!

Clarissa A.

Yelp
The portion are great, you can actually split a pizza with someone verses needing to order your own personal pie! Delicious, amazing dough, great toppings. The burrata honey pizza is divine! The service is also great! The owner or server (not sure who) found us a spot at the very last minute. Another time we went there was a huge wait list, it's best to book a reservation, but always great service there!
google avatar

Shawn A.

Yelp
This was my second time here, and I loved it even more. This may be my favorite spot in Toronto. The people, the staff, the ambiance, the drinks, the food and even the music. All things that will make you stay all night or keto coming back. It's not a large menu, but it's all great. The pizza is perfectly thin, blistered and cheesy. Wow. Sit at the bar and hang out a bit, or bring a group, get a large pizza and a bottle of vino. You won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Marz R.

Yelp
3.5 for food, 4 for service. They just need to deal with the leaky pipes overhead that were dripping on our heads and the food. They were able to relocate us but then sat other people at our previous table, who then had the same problem. The nodini are amazing. Warm garlic knots with rosemary and parmesan? We had two large orders. The spicy anchovy pizza was okay. For $30 for a large, I expected it to be spicier, with more anchovies. I enjoyed the cream of mushroom pizza a lot more. I'd go for that again next time. They have a decent selection of beers, wines, and cocktails. They also have salads and pasta on the menu that I might try next time. I won't be coming back until the pipe issue is resolved, however. I'd be happy to give them another shot then.
google avatar

Jimmy L.

Yelp
3.5 If Michel Serra and Ellen Page had a pizza baby it would be "SuperPoint". The place is so hip I thought I needed a Tumblr to get a table. The menu is pretty interesting, they offer a lot of Italian classic you would not expect. The pizza was B+. The service is in the same lane as an Urban Outfitters.

Yelp
I'm not sure why it took me so long to get out to Super Point, but damn I've been missing out. Before I get to the food, I should probably note that this is one of those hip restaurants with an almost extraordinarily loud atmosphere and tables that are shoved way too closely together. It's not a super relaxing vibe, honestly. But the food. My god, the food. We ordered a few things: Shishito Peppers ("Spicy Sichuan Pepper"): Somehow I'd never tried shishito peppers before this. (Not as far as I can remember, anyway.) I was initially turned off by the simplicity of the dish - it's just a pile of cooked peppers without a dipping sauce - but the more I ate, the more addictive I found it. The peppers are spicy and flavorful, while the char from the grill is nothing short of irresistible. Nodini ("Warm Garlic Knots, Rosemary, Parmesan"): This is exactly what you'd think it'd be and yet it's somehow way better than you'd expect. It's basically small blobs of perfectly-cooked dough swimming in an absolutely addictive sauce. No complaints with this one. House Made Rigatoni ("Smoked Pork, Spicy N'duja, Mozzarella"): Would it surprise you to learn this was also amazing? Every component here works so well and the flavors are pretty much mind-blowing. My one complaint would be that it's an awfully small portion for such a high price point. Hawaiian Pizza: I mean, it'd be criminal if we came to Super Point and didn't order a pizza. And this thing did not disappoint. I can't remember exactly what was on it (and the website doesn't say), but it's not a stretch to say this was one of the best Hawaiian pizzas I've ever eaten. In addition to the first-class toppings, the 'za boasts a sprinkling of really, really tasty spices that only heighten its addictive nature.

Yelp
This review is actually for their take out only location that opened near Parkdale.. Hubby and I are always on the hunt for better pizza and we happened to stumble upon Super point on a very snowy day. It was empty at this location when we walked in but they had a couple of pizzas selling for the slice. We opted for the cream of mushroom and the pepperoni. Both slices were huge for 5$ and were thin (just how we like them!) They also can make full pizza's for take out as well. Super clean establishment and decent traffic coming in and out. My only complaint was that my pizza slice was not hot enough for me... wished he put the pizza slice in the oven a tad bit longer. Nevertheless, would definitely be back to try a whole pizza next time!
google avatar

Davey H.

Yelp
This is the most over rated pizza in Toronto. It's not terrible but not special and extremely expensive. $27 for wings? $30 for a pizza? $3 for a gingerale? Also not the best customer service. Classic pretentious fake hipsters.
google avatar

Rocco V.

Yelp
The place is super cool. Love the neon sign and the font they chose. Love that they kept the old sign as well. They should divide the room w a glass door in my designing opinion. I did not enjoy the pizza. I am a self proclaimed pizza expert. I can back that up. Perhaps it was on off day. I would try it again, just because I love Ossington.
google avatar

Lauren B.

Yelp
This cozy-cool, unassuming little "Italian-ish" restaurant has one of the best Caesar salads I've had in awhile. The dressing is addictively pungent...so garlicky, so zesty...and who needs boring old croutons when you have crunchy, smoky Hickory Sticks? We also shared the beef reginette: perfectly al dente ribbons of pasta with tender braised beef cheek in a rich tomato sauce. Didn't try the pizza, but next time I'm taking a lil tipsy tour down the Ossington strip I'll definitely stop by for a slice from the takeout window. Quick story: I had read they have a "secret bar" in the back, only accessible through the back alley, called SP184. So back to the alley we went, and sure enough, there was a door marked SP184 illuminated by a bright pink light. But the door was locked. So we knocked. And someone answered it, asked us for the password (I said the first thing that came to mind: "beef ragu") but he laughed and said he was just joking, and then shut the door. Apparently SP184 is a space you can rent out for a party, but it ain't no speakeasy. Haha oops!!

Yelp
Super Point is on point. It gets all of the points. Apparently I like the word point. Weird point jokes aside, if you like pizza by the slice, wine, nooks and cozy restaurants this place is your jam. I really loved their pepperoni slice and I'm a huge sucka for anywhere that let's you drink champagne in their entry way. I will update this review when I return for a sit down meal, which is sure to be very soon. Happy pizza partying!

Yelp
Easy walk in, get a slice and go.. Appears to be a bar in the back. The five dollar slice could be a four dollar slice... Nice thin pizza. Simple cheese or pepperoni options. Best review, ever!

Yelp
This pizza was d-licious! The crust was super thin and oh so hot! The crust still managed to hold up the honey sauce and the mozzarella. Overall, great experience, but it would have been nice for the servers to come see if we were doing okay especially since we were seated at the bar in the back.

Yelp
I enjoyed dinner at Superpoint on a rainy night with a girlfriend. There's a darker area at the front, and then a 'garage' area that opens up at the back if you want more of patio vibe or natural light. Portions were large (pizza and pasta) and really delicious. Service was fast, and everyone was really nice. Decent meal for decent prices.

Yelp
Sometimes the customer service is POOR but the pizza is amazing! The creation of the flavours are very diverse and hard to choose from, I just want to order all the pizzas on the menu. I love that the dough is thinly made because it ensures that the dough is fully cooked and crispy. The flavours are extravagant and the pizza itself just melts in my mouth. I also like the fact that I am able to see them make the pizza by hand and place it in the oven. The outer interior is very vintage looking and it just sets the tone for this pizza place. LOVE IT :)

Yelp
So pizza is something I adore but something I think is pretty tough to do well in this city - there's big competition! I'd been dying to try this place and was fortunate enough to get a table early on a Wednesday evening. We ordered a bunch of food items to share which is a really good idea. Portions are generous! Caesar salad is pretty good and the addition of hickory sticks is inventive although a little salty. Garlic bread knots are a standout. I've been looking for good knots since I experienced bread knot nirvana in NYC - and this is the closest I believe I will get in Toronto. Pizza - well it's good. Good crust nice flavour but just didn't blow my mind. Atmosphere is great and staff was also okay but just not as good as I was hoping. But worth a try if you haven't been! Or grab the takeout for movie night - also a great option.

Yelp
Super Point is a more recent addition to the Ossington strip. The multiple times that I've wandered by, it's always been busy with a line of people waiting for a table. Therefore, it was a surprise to find it mostly empty on a Thursday night. We were here to satisfy some pizza cravings so we skipped over the paper menu and went straight for the pizza options written on the chalkboard (cheese, pepperoni, hawaiian, mushroom soup, or capicollo with olives). We got the mushroom soup pizza and the capicollo and olives. I preferred the mushroom soup pizza over the capicollo and olives. They use a flavorful mushroom soup as a base, and topped it with more mushrooms. If you are a fan of fungi, this is your pizza. The capicollo and olives was also good, but on the saltier side. Both were great as reheated leftovers, even after being tossed into the freezer for a couple days. Next time I will try their braised beef cheek reginette pasta which I've heard great things about!! It did look delicious!!
