Supersweet Tattoos and Coffee

I had to move recently, and was reminiscing on my time with Supersweet Tattoos - I got 3 tattoos from them, all by Kellan, and had such a fun experience! He talked me through the designs and his vision, made sure I liked them, was patient, hilarious, and the process was over in the blink of an eye. Fantastic work, and Im sure I will make my way back to Supersweet for another tattoo soon. Thanks Kellan!!

The atmosphere here is wonderful; I truly appreciate the design, and the coffee shop/tattoo parlor combination is inspired. Even without getting a tattoo, I enjoyed a beverage, which significantly enhanced my visit. The drink was pleasant, though not exceptional; I'd rate the sugar cookie latte a 6 out of 10. My only disappointment was that, having come for the experience and purchased a coffee, I was denied restroom access because I wasn't getting a tattoo. I was directed to a nearby Starbucks, which I found inconsiderate, especially considering my $8 coffee purchase. Because of this, I'm unlikely to return.

We visited Supersweet Tattoos for matching tattoos in a design we already had in mind. We were delighted to work with Amy on a virtual consultation, and she put her own small touches on the design to really bring it to life. Making the final appointment and putting down the deposit online were quick and easy - not a process I’ve done with other shops before, but one that I’ve come to appreciate because it means the shop takes out time seriously. When we arrived for our appointment, we were impressed with the beauty and cleanliness of the shop. Easily one of the loveliest tattoo parlors I’ve ever seen! The waiting area is cozy and the process from start to finish was really comfortable. Amy did a stellar job with our tattoos and we will absolutely return to her again for a tattoo in the future. Highly recommend this shop! My only regret is that we were having too much fun that we forgot to try their teas and coffees - but we will rectify that on a future visit!

Very delicious and unique coffees and teas. Their monthly rotating seasonal drinks are phenomenal. The tattoo artists are very skilled and professional. I got my first tattoo here and will be a repeat customer.

My friends and I were in the LA area for a concert and only had 36 hours. We stopped by to get tattoos and love the atmosphere and the staff. It is a beautiful set up with the coffee shop in the front, with outdoor seating and the tattoo shop in the back. So many artists to choose from! Check out their instagram!

This shop is absolutely gorgeous and everyone I met there was incredibly kind and gentle. The photos don't do this place justice, you have to see foe yourself! I had Jenna as my artist and she really brought my idea to life and worked with me to perfect the vision. If you're looking for an amazing artist with clean lines, Jenna's your girl!

I've been here multiple times for tattoos with Jenna and cannot recommend more. The shop itself is clean and cute. Jenna is amazing! She's done multiple custom pieces which always turn out beautifully.

My daughter got her first tattoo here after doing some research and reading reviews. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the interior is fun and inviting. My two complaints can't really be rectified due to the physical location, but it is very hard to find parking nearby (we took a chance on being towed and parked at the grocery store next door), and there's not a lot of room in the waiting/coffee area if you're tagging along with someone getting a tat while you're not. But it's a small place, so I get it. Regarding my daughter's tattoo, it looks great and the artist was very kind and efficient.

The first thing you notice is the beautiful decor. The wallpaper, the pink and gold accents, the gorgeous tea cups, the gallery wall. All right up my alley. The shop was very clean, well organized, and welcoming. But what really put it over the top was my experience with my artist, Kellan. He was prompt, he was accommodating, and we had such great conversation that it made the appointment fly by. I had such a genuinely good time talking to him and watching him work. I explained the bad experience I had with my first tattoo and told him he made this one MUCH better. Even the other artists who came in later were friendly, smiling, and complimented my new tattoo. I really enjoyed myself. I was comfortable and had a lot of fun. Absolutely planning to come back for my next tattoo! Oh, and I drove here from Phoenix just to go to this shop and it was so worth it!!

After getting my first tattoos during college, I took a long break before starting on my current journey in 2023 by getting a tattoo to celebrate my birthday. After researching local shops on the Eastside, I knew I had to go to Supersweet. I mean, a coffee shop that's also a tattoo parlor? With exceptionally curated decor? Obviously, I was sold. After also researching the artists and their styles, I knew I wanted Emma to create a custom piece for me. Her work is bold, beautiful, and original. And she is a supreme joy to work with. Caring, professional, patient, and meticulous. I have found that the entire staff is very kind, welcoming, and excellent at what they do, as I've interacted with other artists while getting my work done or observed them interact with their clients. In 18 months, I've gotten 5 pieces with Emma. I know I will continue to get more work done by her, and I'm looking forward to working with some of the other artists there as well. Because Supersweet is now one of my happy places. It's up there with Disneyland. Seriously. Could not recommend them more! Also, you can just get coffee, tea, and baked goods. No tattoo required. The blondie is bomb.

First time here in May 2025, will NOT be my last! Everything is great about this spot. I knew what I wanted but not whom among their artists to go with, but guess what? When you book on their website they set you up with an artist based on what you're having done! Kellan was a perfect match as an artist, and a fun cool dude as well. Easy parking (ok at 11am on a Tuesday but...) easy to book and put your deposit, very clean and comfortable-I'd 100% recommend and will definitely go back!

I have been tattooed by two different artists here. They have both been professional, helpful and talented artists. The decor here is amazing, the coffee is delicious and it is just a fun place to get tattos done!

Delicious coffee and even better tattoo! It was super easy to complete a consultation & booking over email with Jakki since I was coming in just for the weekend with some friends. She is quite an artist--she took my example & color preferences, then absolutely elevated the design into something stunning. She is also super knowledgeable about the biology & chemistry related to tattooing, which made my science-nerd heart happy. The tattoo is for me, but the compliments for the design & vibrant colors sure don't hurt ;) thank you, Jakki!

jenna was an amazing artist! she was super friendly and answered all my questions, along with making my experience go really smoothly.

My only gripe: I didn't have the heart to give this place a 4 stars because everything else was so GREAT, but honestly... parking is terrible. There is no dedicated parking lot, so parking on the street is the way to go. But the area can be pretty congested, so arrive early to circle the block a few times to find parking. The good stuff: Okay, besides parking, I absolutely loved everything about my experience at Supersweet! Booking was easy and sending over references via email was fast and efficient. My best friend drew what I wanted, and Kellan turned it into a beautiful stencil! I paid my deposit a few weeks in advance, and the day finally came. I was assigned to work with Kellan. Upon arrival, I got some delicious coffee and waited briefly before I met Kellan. He was so nice and already had 95% of my sketch done. He did last minute touches and the process started. He was patient and really kind, especially since I was trying not to get a emotional about getting a tattoo of my soul dog! Once we picked a size for my stencil, he applied it. I had to get on the bench, but since I am short, I asked for a step stool. They didn't have one, so he got me a chair to use it to prop myself up. Once I was laying down to get my tattoo on my arm, I just laid there like a champ and went with the flow. We exchanged stories about the love for our dogs, and I felt like the universe matched me with an artist who was giving the vibe and energy that I wanted surrounding this tattoo experience. At the end of it, he made sure to give me all the fixins' to ensure it healed properly. We stepped outside to get some pics of my tattoo, and then he sent me on my way. My tattoo came out exactly how I wanted it. I love it so much, and I had such a pleasant and memorable experience.

I came in to the shop to get at tattoo from Emily Effler. Emily was not only incredibly friendly and professional but has a great mind for tattooing. She provided me options which included a one that was a direct recreation of the image I sent. She very thoughtfully explained that while she would be happy to give me whatever I wanted that she had some suggestions as far as additional flourishes and pointed out that some of the coloring in my original design might not show up so well with my skin tone. I ended up taking some of the suggestions and not taking others and I'm over the moon with the end result. Not only do I love it (Which is obviously the most important part) it is amongst my most complimented tattoos! I cannot suggest Emily enough if you want a friendly artist who feels like a true collaborator and has a keen eye for how things will look on your body in the long term.

I was matched with Emma after completing the consultation form. I tend to enjoy my artists having creative freedom over their designs, and loved what Emma sent back after sending her some inspo! When I arrived, I had good luck parking at the Vons right behind the building. I walked over and was greeted immediately. Everyone is so friendly and the shop is clean. The first time I came it was pretty dead, so it was quiet and I liked the music they played. The second time I came it was very busy! All the patrons and artists were able to move around the shop easily and everyone, again, was friendly and I loved the music. Emma is so kind and thoughtful. We didn't chat much during either appointment, which is fine with me. If someone wants to chat, I'm open, if not, I'm happy to be quiet and tune into the music She took her time with both designs, paying attention to detail, and ensuring I was comfortable throughout. One is healed beautifully, and the other is fresh but I'm sure it'll match its sibling soon! 10/10, would recommend!

First time having tattoo done. It was a small one compared to other people but was very nervous. Jina was my tattoo artist. She was great!! She made me relax and enjoy my first exciting experience. And she made THE PERFECT TATTOO! Just I wished for!!! Thank you Jina!

Miguel is an amazing talented artist and being in a hip cool coffee shop is a plus ! Definitely can't wait to go back and see him again!!

I love this tattoo parlor! I went first back in 2022 and was tattooed by Julz when she was still a Jr Artist. She was amazing! She did the strawberry in the picture I attached. She had a super light touch so it didn't really hurt at all. I recently went back and was tattooed by Amy. She did a super special tattoo for me of a butterfly with my dad's handwriting underneath it. She replicated what I asked for perfectly, and made it even better. The butterfly looks so beautiful. I want to cry every time I look at the tattoo. Also, Amy is so sweet and talked to me during the tattoo process, and was very patient with me, constantly checking if I needed a break or anything. I didn't feel like I needed any breaks because she was really great at tattooing. Again, I barely felt any pain. The salon is also amazing. I love the vibe, it's comfortable and welcoming. The coffee they offer is actually really delicious, and the person up front (I'm sorry I can't remember her name) was very sweet. I definitely plan to come back to this salon soon! I want to get tattooed by Amy again, and Julz and Roxie also have tons of flash I'm interested in.

I submitted a consultation form via the website and got assigned to Kellan. He got back to pretty quickly with a quote. On the day of my tattoo everything was great! Check in was a breeze and front staff was super nice. Kellan was also super nice and great to work with. He was fast and efficient. I couldn't be any happier with my tattoo. I will definitely be back to get more a tattoos with Kellan.

Summary: Super welcoming tattoo shop that's not judgey. Everyone is welcome. Parking is metered only so bring quarters! Coffee is great so come early to fully enjoy the coffee. This tattoo shops has been in my sights for a while now and I finally pulled the trigger to come get tattooed here. The coffee is GREAT. The barista/ front desk is a great first impression to this tattoo shop. I instantly feel at home and comfortable. My tattoo artist Jakki was EXCELLENT. Thought the booking system online doesn't give you option to talk to an artist before booking, I'm glad Jakki was assigned my tattoo. Jakki's bedside manner was amazing, talking through every step since it was my first color tattoo. Jakki is very knowledgeable and welcoming, not forcing conversation but made it easy to talk if you wanted to. Jakki handled my tattoo with care and compassion as it was a memorial tattoo for my late grandma/best friend. The other artists there were super welcoming and collaborative not only in conversation but when showing designs. There is 10 hour parking that is metered behind their shop by the Vons but bring quarters because some of them wouldn't take card, and I tried a few. $1= 1 hour, max 4 hours at a time but it's free after 8pm.

What a great vibe this place has, cool coffee shop with the parlor in the back. Super clean and great artist I used Sophia and love my tattoo she took my inspiration and made it come to life.

Went back to Emma again and once again she knocked it out of the park. I can't wait to get more from her in the future.

The most professional and beautiful experience I've ever had in a tattoo shop. Everyone is so kind and welcoming. As a gender minority, I felt entirely at ease. (I'm non-binary.) The place is so aesthetically pleasing I couldn't stop looking around my entire time there. The color scheme is pink and green and there are gallery walls with interesting art and tiny fireplaces everywhere. The coffee is good and they have snacks, too. My artist was Bella and she was nice, professional, willing to work with my vision, and such an amazing artist. She played the most calming and cerebral music during the sitting and I literally almost fell asleep. I've attached photos of my tattoo; it's a jackalope, and just communicating through email, Bella got exactly what I was going for. She went over placement and size with me and explained the pros and cons of both. No matter the choice I made she was 100% supportive of them. I paid $600 for the piece and it was worth every penny. Trust me when I say, it's worth getting a good artist. They use Saniderm to cover your tattoo which is great for healing, each artist has the same tables and lights so you'll always have a good environment, and they own the space next door so even when the main space with the coffee shop is full, they have more stations in the suite next door for you. (It's themed exactly the same.) Parking is kind of a nightmare, as most places in LA are. I parked in a neighborhood across Sunset and just walked a block to the shop. It's also really close to a lot of great things. Body & gender positive lingerie shop Cantiq is down the street as is Monty's Good Burger if you're looking for great vegan food.

Stopped in for coffee with my partner. The person at the register was very friendly and helpful, answering all of our questions about the menu. I got a cold brew with almond milk and added stevia. It was great - exactly what I wanted on a hot fall day. My partner got the season pumpkin spice cold brew which had a delicious, very sweet cream float. The space itself is incredibly cute - lots of art and plants. The only downside is that the coffee shop side is a bit cramped since most of the space is set up for the tattoo studio. But great to pick up coffee to go or sit outside.

Such a cozy environment and everyone is so friendly! Kellan did an awesome job on my custom color tattoo. I will definitely be back!

An update... I really wish I understood everything explained by the owner at that time. I was able to find an artist in Thousand Oaks that did an excellent job in executing everything I was looking for.

What an awesome experience with Kellan at Supersweet Tattoos. Had a great conversation about a whole bunch of topics, he adjusted the designs right before to what I wanted, helped with the sizing and placement, and was really fast, clean, and efficient! Highly recommend! The coffee was crisp!

I came here to get a memorial tattoo. From the beginning, it was an easy process to fill out a form and get an appointment. I chose Misfit based on her portfolio and she called me to discuss the tattoo and listened to my vision. She was very detailed and was upfront about what would work and what would not. When the day came, even the consent form was very detailed and discussed boundaries with touch with such a respectful manner. Misfit did such an amazing job. I have never seen such a beautiful tattoo. She really took my ideas and made them into a work of art. She was calming to be with, respectful, and is just so very talented. Other people came over to look because you could tell she was something special. I will literally be forever grateful that I came to Supersweet tattoos and thankful to Misfit for being so wonderful.

I had a wonderful experience at Supersweet this past weekend. It was my first tattoo, and Miguel did an amazing job translating what I wanted into ink. I am thrilled with how it looks, and it wasn't even sore afterwards! The coffee was good, too, although I have to come back to try the ashtray latte. ;)

The coffee is surprisingly really good, coffee alone would rate a 3.5. The vibes are also very sick, I haven't gotten a tattoo here but it seems really chill.

Amy is such a great artist, I absolutely love my pieces! It was super easy to schedule and communicate regarding my appointment. Also the space is super cute!

I love my birthday month bouquet!!! Amy's work is amazing! She was super sweet, kind, patient and careful! This is my first tattoo and she made it a great experience. We had a consultation, I sent her my inspiration pictures and on the day of, she presented what she had created and asked for my opinion to see if anything should be altered, including sizes. I immediately loved it. She was very attentive throughout the whole process. When she began, she made sure I was comfortable, asked if I needed any breaks, and made sure I was feeling good. Overall, an amazing experience. I will definitely be back with Amy! It's been 2 weeks and it's healing beautifully. Thank you Amy!!!

Such a cozy cute place! Matcha is yummy over there and all the artists are definitely masters of their craft! Emily did my tattoo and she is a rock star! Can't wait to come back! Highly recommended!!!!!

Julz is amazing, professional, fun, sweet, talented, and the has the most amazing line work! The shop is clean and perfect. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my tattoos!

Flew in for the weekend just to see Roxie and was not disappointed!!!!!! I had been looking for a Studio Ghibli tattoo version of my cat and Roxie went above and beyond bringing it to life. She was very professional, and helpful when deciding placement & small details of the tattoo. I'd love to come back and get more! The vibes and ambiance of Supersweet was just the icing on the cake! Highly recommend!

This place is lovely and Amy was great. She did an incredible job and took her time with me to ensure the sizing, line thickness, and placement was perfect. Never felt rushed or second guessing anything. Will be going back for my next one. Also, the interior design is very fun.

Cute little spot to get some coffee and a little snack. The coffee was intense and bold. The decor is super cute and totally put together. Loved the ambiance. Next time I'm going to try the chagatea drink. If you're in the area and want to try something different, I recommend this place. They don't have whipped cream which is why I gave it a 4.

I went to Supersweet Tattoos & Coffee shop beginning of December for a new tattoo and went with Jina. Super cute spot and I love all the pink ! Jina is awesome and super cool and very easy to talk to. Not only does she do great tattoos but has good food recommendations as well a double plus for a foodie like me =). I had sent her something small and she was able to make it happen I was so thrilled with my new tattoo that I went back beginning of this month for my birthday treat to myself for its pair and I'm so happy with the outcome that once I get the itch for some more I'll definitely be going back with Jina. They also have cool merchandise I purchased a shirt and a super comfy sweater. =)

Absolutely wonderful! I love my new tattoo! Emily did an amazing job, she was so kind and super professional but still make my first tattoo a fun experience. The coffee is also really good. In one of the pics my tattoo is a little red but that's just cause I'm super pale and may skin turns red if you blow on it the tattoo was almost painless and the redness went way within the hour

Came here with my sister to get tattoos together & we loved the whole experience! Our artist Emma was awesome & her work is beautiful ! She also kindly put up with our jittery-two-sisters-getting-their-first-tattoo energy . My mom , who is not necessarily a tattoo person , was super comfy & happy sitting in the cafe with her coffee watching the whole thing! Thanks again to Emma and Supersweet Tattoo! Will definitely be back!

I got coordinating tattoos with my friend here three days ago and already can't wait to come back for another. Sofia did our tattoos and was absolutely wonderful. We underestimated how long of an appointment to book, but she didn't make us feel rushed whatsoever and did such beautiful, detailed work. I couldn't be happier with the end result and definitely will be booking her for more in the future! Beyond the tattoo, I loved the studio itself. The coffee and croissant were delicious (though I do wish there was a way to warm the pastries up). The atmosphere is so so nice, which is something I value highly when getting a tattoo considering I'm there for multiple hours at a time. Couldn't recommend this place enough!

Tatts are an addiction, am I right? After that first initial agonizing session, you forget the pain and admire the end result...Okay, my first tatt way back when has now turned into 11 very small discreet ones...but nonetheless, 11. Fast forward to yesterday...let's update that number to 12!!! Lol. I swear it's my last...okay, well maybe not...I am always open to the possibility of another. My sister found this adorable tattoo boutique/cafe hence the name..."Supersweet Tattoos and Cafe." It has been here for 3 years. The decor had me at "pink & purple." Very feminine and run by women!!! Happy International Women's Month!!!! After checking the website and Insta, I went with Emma Leight. I loved her precise lines, designs and overall energy. I was spot on!!! Emma was very easy to talk to and we worked together until I was happy with my design. Did I mention how much I LOVE IT?! *If you are not sure on what you want or are a "Virgin" tatt person then I HIGHLY recommend having a consult first. *All artists require a $75 deposit to reserve your appointment. Starting price is $150 - $200 depending on size, color and details. *If you are a "No Show" you will forfeit your $75 deposit. Reschedule people! Nobody likes a "No show:(" *There are several artist to choose from and if an artist is not able to perform a design , they will refer you to one who can. *Plenty of street parking on Glendale Blvd and on the street behind the shop. *Giavona runs the cafe, takes appointments and consults. She is lovely. You can sit and enjoy a drink or something to eat before or after your appointment.

This review is about Jess/Jessica This of course was my mistake for even booking with a JR artist. From the start I had to accommodate my booking time. I received a text from her last minute to change my booking time like 30 mins later when I was already on the way. I did not want to be that customer so I said that's fine, nothing wrong with waiting outside. But I wish I would of known she would not respect MY TIME. I was told by her that I could come back anytime for a touch up and after two months I decide to DM her because she said I can do JUST THAT! We talk and she gives me an appointment date & time. My mistake again for trusting her and not messaging day of but still unprofessional on her part for what she does. I get there day of my appointment and let the girl at the front know who I have my appointment with and she wants to ask me if I'm sure because Jess is not there ??? STOOD ME UP. Girl at the coffee shop told me she tried to contact her and heard nothing back after 30 mins waiting from my original appointment time I decided to leave. Was looking forward to this due to the fact that it was a hand tattoo and I needed a major touchup...now I have to find a new artist to do that. I just don't understand how you can waste someone's time. Was going to leave the situation alone but I wouldn't want others to have their time wasted.

I had a tattoo with Emma, and it was a great experience all around. The small cafe in front and the shop itself are just absolutely gorgeously decorated, clean and pretty and inviting. Everyone was really lovely, and Emma did an amazing job. The art of my tattoo was by a different artist, but you can see Emma's clean line work. Take a look at their Instagram - every artist through the shop is featured regularly so you can get an idea of the variety of styles. Highly recommended!

Supersweet and their staff is so clean, cute, and kind! They are very responsive booking through the website and it's really easy too! I received a tattoo here on 8/30. My artist was Jessica. She was very patient and she made she I was happy with the design before we got started. She quoted me $150 to $175 via email before the session. The final price was $175. This shop does have a $150 minimum and that even for small tattoos, so that is something to keep in mind. However, I'm very satisfied I think the line work is amazing!
