Before I left Los Angeles, I used to come here every week for their amazing Hong Kong-style egg tarts. I must had hundreds of their egg tarts over the span of a year. I also recommend their Portuguese egg tarts, and hot half-and-half.

Don't know where to start.... First of all, the staff are probably new and they sound passive-aggressive when we were asking for the cakes someone else was having in front of the store. Second, we found a small metal thing in the blueberry cheesecake we bought....LOL it could cause serious consequences if my wife consumed it without knowing. Third, their egg tarts or Portuguese egg tarts aren't really good in my option since there are better choice and traditional one in the San Gabriel area

Supita: My Unforgettable Sweet Journey It was an ordinary day until Supita, a charming restaurant, turned it into something extraordinary. Following a photo shoot at their bakery, I was gifted with the very delights I had captured with my camera. I knew I was in for a feast that promised to make my evening special. Upon arriving home, each product from Supita's bakery became a unique sensory experience. Every bite was a new discovery, an exploration of incomparable flavors and textures that left an unforgettable mark on my palate. Supita proved to be more than a restaurant; it was a paradise of sweet indulgences, a place where quality and passion merged to create true culinary masterpieces. Their bakery wasn't just food, but a wonderful and memorable experience, a testament to the magic that happens when high-quality ingredients meet artisanal mastery. So, if you ask me for a recommendation, I would undoubtedly say: visit Supita. You will find yourself on a journey to a world of perfectly balanced sweetness, an experience that will not only please your palate but also leave a sweet imprint on your memory.

Google
It starts with their Portuguese Egg Tarts.... sublime just outta the oven. They are light creamy with such a light pastry crust. It invokes the likeness of a Krispy Kreme Glazed just baked. Special mention to their Mango Mouse! Prices are very reasonable considering the location.

Small bakery with good vibes! Metered street parking nearby in a busy area with lots of food and shops. Small tables available outside. Tried an egg tart, flaky crust (a bit oily) and soft filling, overall not bad for the price.

Google
Recent favorite Asian bakery. Old fashioned Hong Kong style bakery. Their regular egg tarts are the very best! Other items I also repurchase multiple times are pineapple bao, red bean bao, and green onion bao. Really hope they stay here for a long time.

Right, listen up! If you're looking for an absolute gem of a bakery in Sawtelle, then Supita is where it's at. And let me tell you, their egg tarts are nothing short of immaculate! As soon as you step into Supita, you're hit with the aroma of freshly baked goods that'll make your mouth water. But it's the egg tarts that steal the show. They're a culinary masterpiece, perfectly crafted with a delicate, buttery pastry and a luscious, velvety custard filling that's rich but not overly sweet. Now, here's the real magic: the texture. These egg tarts have a flawlessly smooth and creamy consistency. Each bite is like a little taste of heaven, with the custard gently yielding to the touch of your fork. It's like experiencing a symphony of flavors and textures in your mouth. Absolutely outstanding! But what truly sets Supita apart is their unwavering commitment to quality ingredients. You can taste the freshness in every bite. The eggs used in these tarts are undoubtedly top-notch, sourced from happy, free-range chickens that must have led a life of pure luxury. The pastry is baked to perfection, with a golden, flaky crust that shatters oh-so-satisfyingly as you take a bite. Now, I must give credit where credit is due. The folks at Supita have mastered the art of precision and consistency. Each egg tart is uniform in size, shape, and flavor, showing their meticulous attention to detail. It's like they have a team of highly trained pastry wizards working behind the scenes, ensuring that every tart that comes out of their oven is nothing short of extraordinary. So, if you're in the mood for a taste sensation that will leave you utterly spellbound, Supita is the place to be. Their egg tarts are a triumph of culinary craftsmanship. Just be prepared to be forever spoiled because once you've experienced these heavenly delights, there's simply no going back to anything less. Supita, you've truly earned my respect and admiration. Your egg tarts are a shining example of baking excellence. Keep up the outstanding work!

Google
We have been regular customers, frequently visiting the bakery shop whenever we are in the Sawtelle area. The service has consistently been good in the past. However, on the evening of 8/24/2024, we encountered an unpleasant experience. When we walked in, the young Asian woman working at the front gave us a side glance instead of a greeting, which we initially brushed off. However, during checkout, her attitude persisted. We asked a question what time do you guys close? to which she responded curtly, 10. This made us feel she was annoyed by the question and we felt unwelcome, as if we were not valued customers. To add to this, we observed her smiling and being friendly with other younger customers who came in after us. This inconsistency in behavior left us feeling uncomfortable and puzzled about the situation. Then towards the 9:30 pm, she started collecting the chair so loudly around us, and she also took the chair next to me away and did not even ask us if we are still using it. Then we looked at her once she walked into the store, we found that she stared at my friend with dead eyes. We got so scared and left the patio. We hope this can be addressed, as it should not be a way to treat the customers. Never want to come back if she is still working here.

Yelp
It really is all about the egg tarts here. Went with the HK and Portuguese and both had nice crunchy, flaky crust with a soft custard interior. Filling had a great egg custard flavor, not too sweet. Price here is on the higher end. I tried the pineapple bbq pork bun and was a bit disappointed. The pineapple bun itself was fine but the filling was more of a soy flavor, not any charsiu flavor to it. It also was not the chopped bbq and was shredded, which is fine but there was no bbq flavor. Definitely go here for the egg tarts.

Yelp
After eating a bowl of Tsujita LA's ramen and three scoops of Wanderlust Creamery's Asian Fusion ice cream in the Little Osaka neighborhood, I told my dining mates that my appetite was content. Still, my sweet tooth was not completely satisfied. I had a nagging feeling that there was another bookmarked business on my list nearby, so I checked my handy Yelp App and found Supita Tart Specialists. Luckily, this modern Cantonese-style bakery was located less than a block away from the Sawtelle Centre, and I convinced my dining mates to take the stroll down the street with me. I found the bakery easily and walked in to find display shelves of freshly baked bread and individually wrapped pastries, notably one of my favorite Chinese pastries, sashimi. On the other side, there were open trays (behind glass barriers) of various egg tarts (Portugese or pastel de nata, tropical flavored cheesecake tarts, and pastry-wrapped hotdogs) and a countertop display of other Cantonese pastries such as winter melon rice cakes, some other rice cakes, dried mango slices and more. I noticed they didn't have any Cantonese egg tarts (daan tat) on display and asked the counter help about their availability because that's what I came in for. Unfortunately, she said a batch of egg tarts was still baking and would be available within 30 minutes, which I wasn't willing to wait for. However, the Hong Kong-style coconut tarts 港式椰撻 made with desiccated coconut, not shredded or flake coconut, which I haven't found at dim sum houses in years, caught my eye. The display was emptied, so it appeared that the coconut tarts were a popular item since there were only two left on the sheet pan display. Since we weren't willing to wait 30 minutes for the fresh batch of Cantonese egg tarts to come out from the oven, I opted for an HK coconut tart (港式椰撻), and my dining mates got the Portuguese pastéis de nata. We brought them home to eat since our family has a "no eating or drinking in the car" rule, and we enjoyed the flaky tart crusts with their not-overly-sweet fillings. I want to return for the Cantonese egg tarts because my taste buds were encouraged by the flavors and textures of the coconut tart and Portuguese egg tart.

Yelp
I honestly am completely taken aback by the myriad of positive reviews here.. I'm currently feeling kinda sick from just a few sips of their "coffee". The more I drank, the worse I felt.. so I honestly just stopped drinking it. I've passed this place a few times and genuinely decided to try it for the first time today-- theres a pic of an espresso shot and a decent cafe vibe out front . But.. I Was told there was only vietnam coffee, cold or hot. In fact the owner kinda struggled to tell me about any other cafe style drinks they may or may have not had, didnt suggest boba or tea they (apparently??) have on the menu. Most places if not all have drip coffee at the very very least, so I found that odd for a "cafe". Took a few sips, the flavor was super stale and .. honestly nonexistent, it tasted like it was going bad or had absorbed some unsavory flavors from a fridge. Couldn't stomach the rest. The tart I had was extremely soggy, I got the HK style I think. Granted I showed up later in the day, but comparing it to similar items at 85c and BAKE Cheese Tart (my honest fave in La) - those have a really fresh taste even after being packaged up for a bit of time, and the flavor of those tarts is genuinely interesting at very least. This single tart had an actual soggy bottom, and just.. no flavor at all. The tarts looked like they were made early in the day and were just.. out. Like-- the entire day. Lots of extras from what seems to be very VERY little customers.. Vibe: kind of get the feeling its not doing so great as a business. Place was empty when I walked in, the owner greeted me while the only employee seemed to be confined to the corner, texting, completely nonverbal. The big "C" health code on the front of the business stands out, maybe I should gave taken it as a warning. Saw a few customers poke their heads in, see the sign, and turn around.. Hours: I had to give at least another star for their hours-- sawtelle is surprisingly lacking in late-night coffee and treat spaces to get a bit of work done, this place is open till 10pm, which seriously is good! I'll give them that! Overall: It seems like maybe a year or two ago this place had a lot more variety and maybe was higher quality.. man, my stomach still hurts from what I ate and drank lol. Won't be going back.. tried my absolute best to like my experience. Got a second opinion on the drink from my bf and didnt even say anything just asked him to try it, just to be fair! He said it tasted pretty bad. Will stick to places on the Sawtelle strip that I know are good.. this was rough. I try my absolute best to be positive and honest about places I eat-- but I was so compelled to post a review about this experience, really subpar imo.

Yelp
I always come here for the brioche loaf, which comes with 4 thick slices of the fluffiest, buttery bread that I eat in one sitting, solo. Most of the bakery goods on display were sold out by the time I got there at 9:30pm on a Friday night. I wasn't disappointed, rather, I was happy and very lucky that my favorite brioche loaf was still there, and I got the last one! Supita is always clean and well-organized. I love coming here because I love their baked goods. Supita makes fresh, moist, tasty pastries that I dream about. There is limited seating available in the patio, as well as a small drink menu consisting of coffee, milk, tea, and hot chocolate to enjoy with your bread. The service was standard; cashiers who wait for you at the register and ring you up, but they aren't the most enthusiastic. You may or may not get a "hi, welcome."

Yelp
Quick Review: Service was nice and friendly. They chatted about some yelp question that popped up when I checked in. Food is good, I tried their egg tarts and shredded pork bun. Moist and delicious. The ambiance is split between a small bakery and a cafe, so quite cozy. Their HK tea didn't win any marks though. Not my sort of taste.

Yelp
Solid 5 stars for their Portuguese egg tart and 4.5 for egg tart. The Portuguese egg tart crust is light and flaky and the egg custard is soft and not too sweet. So good. The egg tart was pretty good too. Crust and egg a little firmer. Both excellent, just preference to how you like your egg tarts. Came to the store around 9:50pm and glad they still had some. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.

Yelp
New spot in Sawtelle selling egg tarts and other HK pastries and classic drinks here like Ovaltine (ahh childhood)! I got the classic HK egg tart and the crust was buttery and flakey. The egg tart custard was silky and creamy with a lot of eggy goodness flavor! I do wish the price for their egg tarts and pastries were a bit cheaper. However, I get that they're a business in West LA and not in 626/SGV area (where egg tarts are good and cheap) so it's all for a good cause to support Asian businesses on the west side! Come here if you want good HK desserts and don't want to trek far out.

Yelp
I wanted to try this place for the egg tarts, and at 8 p.m. on a Saturday, they were almost sold out, so I took the last couple. As I was walking out, I noticed the "C" grade health department inspection on the window. Sadly, after seeing all of the health code violations listed here on Yelp, I threw out the tarts without trying them because I didn't want to risk it.

Yelp
I've definitely had better egg tarts in Arcadia or SGV. They have a variety of egg tarts here, all of which we tried were pretty mediocre. We came in late on a weekend and the woman at the register told us if we bought 3 should would give us a 4th free. Well after I left, I realized she not only charged me for the 4th egg tart, but she also added a 3% surcharge for using my credit card. I wasn't paying attention as I was adding a 20% tip to my bill thinking she was being nice, but wow definitely won't be coming back again after that. Go to Paris Baguette instead, they have way better baked goods for half the price.

Yelp
Located in the heart of Sawtelle by all of the Ramen restaurants. They are known for their egg tarts, but have other pastries similar to 85 degrees but better. When you walk in, you can smell the buttery goodness wafting through the store. They have 4 types of egg tarts (Portuguese, traditional, egg white & coconut). I enjoyed all 4 of them, but since the coconut one is not really an egg tart, it's a different taste profile. Their other baked goods are soft and fluffy and not as dense/hard as what would find at 85 degrees. Definitely will be coming back here in the future.

Yelp
My sister and I stopped by here while we were waiting for our table at a restaurant down the street. We were fully expecting this to be an overpriced bakery, however we were surprised! This place is amazing! We preferred the regular egg tart over the po tat, but the po tat was still tasty. The bolo bao was amazing and had no hard bits of meat. The girl working was also SO nice. We also stopped by at around 7PM, and they were still pulling items fresh from the oven, so that's a plus! We'll be back to try their milk tea! Ordered: - egg tart (bright yellow one) - po tat - bolo cha siu bao

Yelp
I was in the Sawtelle area and saw that a relatively new egg tart place opened, so I decided to drop in. They have a good variety of bakery items, including bread and cakes, but there was no price on the signs. There were two types of egg tarts displayed, but no description or sign, so I had to ask the cashier, who said that one was Hong Kong style while the other was Portuguese style. I ended up getting one of each of the egg tarts. Taste-wise, both were good and had distinct flavor profiles. The Portuguese egg tart was still warm and had a nice flakey crust, with the inside tasting a bit like crème brulee. Unfortunately, the mediocre rating is due to store policy. There is a sign that says NO cash accepted, but a 3% surcharge is placed on all credit card purchases. That means that the only way to circumvent the charge is to pay with a debit card, which I happened to not have with me. Thankfully, my purchase was small so the fee was only $0.20, but that means this policy hinders customers from making large purchases. Also, aside from drink prices listed on the screen, the lack of price transparency and descriptions for allergies bothers me. Overall, the egg tarts are solid and do make this place a tart specialist as the name of the store suggests, but I would be reluctant to return.

Yelp
|[ e g g t a r t 蛋 撻 ]| LOVED egg tarts growing up so was excited to try an egg tart specialty shop!! Cute lil store w various pastries/buns making me tempted to try everything. Decided to try the egg white (my health conscious side lol) and Portuguese tarts since they seemed to be well liked on here. It was lightly sweet and good, just quite pricey for what it is. Simply what I expect a standard egg tart to be like which is not too oily, fresh, and not overly sweet. My fav out of the 2 is egg white but I enjoyed both. |[ $ ]| Due to price not sure I'd frequent for egg tarts since there's def much cheaper options, but if they make more specialty kinds (green tea, etc.) I may be more tempted to try it out (didn't have any specialty ones during my visit sadly). |[ v e r d i c t ]| Service was friendly/patient in explaining options, though wish they had descriptions up! More of a grab and go but I think there's some space to hangout if need be. Overall, fun snack on Sawtelle worth trying but given many dessert options here I feel it's too expensive (I get rent here prob high but might need to add more value to the price to keep returning patrons imo).

Yelp
WHEN: Sat @4pm Such a cute bakery, with seatings outside that is covered. They have a large selection of breads, baked goods and cold snacks and drinks. Egg Tarts is specialty and they have all sorts of kinds, so I decided to have a tasting of them all. They even package it in a lovely box! EGG WHITE TART - $2.95 I don't recommend. It's like ordering unflavored tart. EGG TART (Hong Kong) - $2.75 Your standard traditional tart, and it was what I expect it to be. CHEESE TART - $3.25 A tart tart, haha. It's okay if you're into that kind of pallet. Not too sweet so more on the tart side cuz of the cheese. PORTUGUESE TART - $2.95 A good one! I did it, enjoyed it, and now can move on with my life.

Yelp
Sawtelle is a treasure trove for food lovers and if you love Hong Kong style egg tarts, definitely stop in. Over all the other pastries are also excellent, though nothing you can't find in other Asian bakeries.

Yelp
We met up with friends for late night dessert at supita. They have a deal where you buy 5 you get 1 free. Ps the five items may differ in prices as you can choose any of the baked goods behind the display counter. We ordered the following and enjoyed the treats outside: Egg custard tart: 5/5 egg celle y texture and taste. Not too eggy. Portuguese tart: 5/5 excellent as well. Sweeter than the egg one but not overly sweet. Chocolate tart: 3:5 chocolate lovers may enjoy this but I thought it was ok. Cheese tart: 4/5 taste like Asian cheesecake. I prefer the egg and Portuguese. So happy to have discovered this place. We needed up returning for more a few days later. 9on my second trip I also grabbed: Taro balls: 5/5 lovely flaky texture with yummy taro paste inside. Pineapple custard buns: 4/5 pretty good too! The tarts each range from $2.75-3.75 each.

Yelp
We tried Hong Kong style tart, cookie tart, egg white tart and Portuguese egg tart. Everything was so so yummy and the Portuguese egg tart was my favorite. Staff was super friendly. Restroom was very clean. Definitely coming back to try more pastries!
google avatar

Cynthia W.

Yelp
Tarts are quite legit. I would go back!!! Crusts were super crispy. Portuguese tart was a bit too sweet and the syrup made the crust sticky instead. There were lots of customers when I visited but the line went very quick. It's a small shop. I think it's new because overall it gives me a clean impression. They also have some HK style pastries which I wanna try next time.

Yelp
I love egg tarts so much, and I'm so happy this place opened on Sawtelle. Supita obviously specializes in egg tarts (they sell both Portuguese and HK style as well other creative iterations), but they're also an Asian bakery similar to 85 Degrees, offering baked goods for you to box up and a decent drink menu. The new cafe is pretty cute and clean, and they have a decent patio up front if you want to stay awhile. As for the egg tarts, I prefer the Portuguese style over HK, just because they're a bit lighter and flakier, whereas the Hong Kong style is a little heftier. Both are great though, and I can't wait to come back and try their other specialty tarts.
google avatar

Ann T.

Yelp
Cute bakery specializing in egg tarts! There's limited outdoor seating and they also have drinks, some sandwiches, and other baked goods (bread, buns, etc.). The egg tarts are available in both Portuguese and Hong Kong style, as well as made with egg whites only and other flavors like matcha. They also had some savory tarts and meat pies as well. I got the: 1) Hong Kong style egg tart: -Both egg tarts had very flaky and crumbly tart bases. For sure will leave crumbs and they did break a part when I was eating them. It is a bit dry but the filling in the middle compensated for that. -Delicious egg custard center. Reminiscent of what you can get at a Chinese bakery or dim sum. -Nicely sweet and not too eggy in flavor. 2) Matcha egg tart: -Not too sweet, especially in comparison to the regular egg tart. -The matcha center is a bit less "solid" than the egg tart, but tasty nonetheless. -Strong matcha flavor without being too bitter or "earthy/grassy". 3) Hong Kong Milk Tea: -Decent sized cup of HK milk tea. Definitely tasted a bit more of the tea flavor than the sweet milk, but overall not bad. I think I went a bit too safe with my choices here since I know can get similar options for a cheaper price in the 626 and if I wanted something fancier and extravagant, I would opt for KB Tarts. If I were to go here again, I think I'd try the less common egg tarts or one of their savory baked goods.

Yelp
We stumbled upon this bakery and got tempted with the 'Hong Kong' style baked goods. We were there around 2:30pm and by then most baked items were sold out. There were a few egg custard tarts left so we took the 'buy 5 and get 1 free' offer. And I must say they are legit HK egg custard tarts ! They still tasted good the next day. Next time we will try other items.

Yelp
Supita is among the latest to open on trendy Sawtelle in WLA's Japanese town. It's claim of fame are 'tarts' currently three flavors: Portugese, Hong Kong and EggWhite. The shop also offers Other pastries both fancy and simple. This shop opened over a month ago and it's located steps away from other shops with like minded Hispanic names: Hermanito, Sonoritas and now Supitas!! Named to perhaps ingratiate with the heavily populated Hispanic population in this area, who happen to also be spending customers. Supita is an offshoot of Simply Splendid Bakery in Alhambra, lots of the wrappers on the shelves indicate Simply Splendid. I was cordially greeted and helped by the staffer who was nice and patient to explain various pastries. Ordered a box of tartlets and a few croissants and other Frenchie looking pastry. The display of tartlets and other pastries looked appealing. But it would have been more appealing had the staffers worn a face mask and gloves. The staffer who helped Me wore one glove and upon observing her, I made sure she didn't touch any of the pastries I ordered with her ungloved hand. The shop is new and cleanish, which only has limited outdoor seating with bright yellow patio seating. First, I'm not a fan of egg tasting desserts so after tasting the tartlets, the one which tasted more 'eggy' was the egg white tartlet...so shocking! I thought the most egg tasting would be the bright yellow: Hong Kong, which was subtle and not offensive 'œuf' taste at all. The portugese tart was my fav and the dark cooked layer had a bit of crispy upon biting. Have tried their chocolate hazelnut croissant, almond croissant and a coconut cookie which resembled a hugh French madeleine...all yummy. Just wish ALL pastries were wrapped and covered just like a competitive bakery: 85 degrees. Face mask and gloves should be worn by all food handling staffers mandated or not. Don't let my COVID safe guards stop you, stop inside, try these tartlets, Supita is a welcomed addition to Sawtelle!
google avatar

Allison P.

Yelp
Supita is a welcome new addition to Sawtelle Japantown! The store interior is clean and modern, with displays for the varieties of pastries. We got the Hong Kong Style Egg Tart and the Hong Kong Milk Tea. The egg tart crust was buttery and flaky, and the tarts were fresh out of the oven, with a warm and tender custard. The egg tarts were rich but not overwhelmingly so, with a light, authentic sweetness. The milk tea was also strong and had a nostalgic taste. Overall, I would highly recommend checking out this new bakery!

Yelp
We decided to try this newly opened Tart Specialist as we were curious about what this is all about. We got Egg Tart, Radish Cake, and Portuguese Tart. If you feel adventurous, then this might be worth the try. This is completely new to my palate. We tried the radish cake, and I was thinking more of pickled radish, but I was wrong. It is actually radish inside with something else. This is something new to me, so I wouldn't know what it's supposed to taste like. I'm not a fan, though. Egg tart and Portuguese were something else! Oh, so good! I could eat a lot of these. Yummm! I would definitely get this again! Something new to try in the area and I'm glad we did! It can get pricey. Service is okay as staff are still being trained. Parking can be tough depending on time and day. I like how there's couple tables and chairs outside, but it wobbles. No worries, we're just chilling and enjoying the tarts.

Yelp
Bring back the old Supita!! Supita used to make the best Chinese breads (pineapple bun, red bean buns, mung bean buns, rolls, almond cookies etc). They were super tasty and well-prices (about $2.50 a bun). I was so shocked and devastated to see that they recently went through a "rebrand" that means they are selling a totally different set of items (more western style, very sweet items) at a HUGE price increase. I bought a "pineappple bun" (similar to their previous version but less bread-like and more like a western tart) and it was $5.80!! they don't label their food items with prices anymore (probably because customers would be SHOOK). Please bring back the old Supita!! The staff are all great and nice though - they also seem confused by the rebrand
google avatar

William T.

Yelp
Super fresh egg tarts and other pastries and breads. The store is very open and bright and has windows for you to view them making egg tarts in the back. They also offer cold desserts like tofu pudding and dessert soup although they're quite pricey. Their tarts are unlabeled but the staff are happy to explain their offerings. Parking is difficult as expected in Sawtelle. I've tried their Portuguese and Hong Kong egg tarts which were always piping hot out of the oven. Delicious! The bakery breads taste fresh as well. Although prices are a bit steep, I'm happy to have access to fresh tarts and breads near by. They seem to be steadily increasing their prices.

Yelp
The new tart specialists in town who make tasty egg tart pastries! The store is very clean and the staff there are very friendly! We accidentally discovered this shop and a pleasant discovery indeed. Their egg tarts are well made, the pastry is airy and flakey and the egg tart's sweetness is well controlled sweet but not overly sweet. They make these egg tarts in regular (with yolk), egg white, and Portuguese-style, pastel de nata, we enjoyed all of them. If you haven't tried their cute new store yet please give them a try! A family owned business with friendly people and tasty egg tart pastries : )

Yelp
A much needed addition to the Westside. Before Supita, you could only get good Hong Kong style pastries and drinks in SGV. But no more. Supita has some of the best egg tarts I've had. They have original egg tarts, Portuguese egg tarts, and egg white tarts. They also have other traditional Hong Kong pastries and they're all really good. My favorite are the egg tarts. The crust is buttery and flakey, and the filling is smooth and creamy. I also love their Hong Kong style milk tea. It has a great strong flavor and I def recommend if you need a caffeine kick
google avatar

Mark L.

Yelp
It's a pleasant surprise to find a Hong Kong style bakery on Sawtelle. However, I suspect mostly only Hong Kongers will like it. Milk tea - Got the flavor but need more evaporated milk and condensed milk. Portuguese egg tart - Pretty tasty, though the one I liked were more creamy and butterly. All in all, it's pretty good but I'm wondering about store identity and profitability. Rent on Sawtelle just be expensive, bakery profit margin may be good but you need volume. The name Supita is a cool Spanish word but it didn't remind people it's tart or milk tea related. Anyway, I do hope the business with thrive cause I've always appreciate a milk tea and an egg tart anytime of the day!

Post-meal, we happened to swing by in this area and decided to give their tarts a try! They specialize in HK-bakery goods. Aside from traditional egg tarts, they have the Po-Tart (Portuguese) as well. Other new flavors include cheese and green tea. Bread-wise, they have a few selections that you would customarily find at an HK bakery. They offer hot and cold drinks such as HK style milk tea/coffee/ half-n-half, and lemon tea. Their boxes comes in 4/6/12. Since we came as a party, we split our order and ended up ordering 12. I had their regular egg tart, which also came out fresh coincidentally, Po-tart, green tea tart, and cheese tart. I also had a HK style milk tea. Pretty nice tarts because they reminded me of decent egg tarts I've had growing up in the bay and HK. Still a bit off from the "best" but great for what it is I think. The puff pastry is decadent and fluffy. The cookie tart is as it should be even with refrigeration. All in all, pleasantly surprised by their tarts and fully recommend others to give it a try!

Yelp
Soft opening with great selections of pastries from egg tarts to Asian pastries and cakes. The egg tart selection was fun to explore with Portuguese, egg, HK tart, egg whites, cheese, cookie tart. Got the Portuguese and the Hong Kong one. Wow. So silky and piping hot. Absolutely love the delicate texture of the center and crusty flake of it all. Congrats and best of luck to this new gem on Sawtelle.

Yelp
Supita Tart Specialists has both savory and sweet tarts and so much more! This offshoot of the SGV's Simply Splendid Bakery sells Hing Kong-style tarts, breads, cakes, puddings and other desserts. I love meat pies and was delighted to find that they had fillings like, bbq pork, chicken and curry pork. The pies were still warm. I meant to only eat half of a chicken and half of the curry one, but they were so good that I ate the entire thing! I liked that the pastry for the chicken pie wasn't too sweet. They have HK and Portuguese egg tarts, egg white and one in a cookie crust. I tried both the HK and Portuguese tarts and they were good - not too sweet or too eggy. Looking forward to trying more from Supita! They are currently in soft opening with hours from noon to 7pm. Free parking in the lot in back and metered street parking.

Yelp
Oh goodness--Hong Kong style egg tarts in the west side. The egg custard is super soft and not too sweet. Flaky and crispy tart shell without being greasy. Also gulped down their Hong Kong style milk tea--light on sugar and strong enough to keep you up all night! Nice selection of puddings (almond, tofu, black sesame). The pastries look yummy. Plan to try those on next visit.

Yelp
Their HK egg tart is one of the best I think I've had. Wow. Sawtelle is competitive: you know when walking into a new shop it will likely be good. But I wasn't expecting top rung SGV bakery good. Which it is. Flaky, with a rich, wonderfully balanced filling. Not too sweet. Pretty much perfection. And the price point feels incredibly reasonable. If you have a sweet tooth and are in the area, RUN don't walk!!!

Yelp
Nice Hong Kong-style bakery addition to Sawtelle. As an old-timer I recall zero bakeries like this on Sawtelle and now we have multiple, woot! Had a few buns and breads here which have all been pretty tasty, although so far nothing in particular stands out. Still, been enjoyable enough that it might need a few more visits.

Yelp
I dropped by Supita Tart Specialists with a friend yesterday. I had never visited before. My friend treated me to a Portuguese Egg Tart. It was delicious. The staff member on-site was friendly.

Yelp
I know that 99.9% of all the reviews for Supita will talk about their egg tarts. That's fine and dandy but I'm gonna let you in on a little secret. Skip the egg tarts and if you're looking for a super refreshing, nostalgic, puckering sour drink.. Get their Lemon Tea. It reminds me of the amazing Hk/Taiwanese Lemon teas I'd get. Sawtelle isn't known for their amazing Boba/Tea selections but this spot just shot up to the top. Gonna have to grab an egg tart in the future just for good measure. JY

Yelp
I liked the tarts from Bake but CC was too far away. I saw this place when I was in the area for dinner. They told me that they do not accept cash.

Yelp
Friend of mine stopped next door to grab some Yi Fang and saw this bakery next door, so why not stop in? Cute little bakery with a lot of pastries. Ordered the regular egg tarts to try out and they had a little promotion going on with buying 5 tarts, you would end up with one free. Thought it was a great idea to try egg tart right then and there outside in the patio and was super underwhelmed as it was cold and not even, at the very least, warm or hot off the oven...so docking a star for that. One random petty thing I noticed upon paying and leaving was that you are charged a fee for using a card...and this place does NOT take cash at all (except for tips). Also did not see any written sign about this surcharge anywhere in writing...until after you practically tap your card...so another docked star.

Yelp
Hands down, the BEST Portuguese egg tart I have ever had. The egg white tarts are my 2nd most favorite thing to get here. Good deals make you keep coming back, like buy 5, get 1 free, and the egg pudding is buy 1, get 1 after a certain hour. The packaging is too cute, so it's great to bring as a gift. Free parking in the back is golden on Sawtelle, anyone who goes there knows this. No more words. It's just soooo good. Addicting.

Yelp
Visited on June 12. Place was clean, proprietor (owner?) was young and friendly. A large selection of items, we ordered about $80 worth of buns for friends. Everything was delicious. Tarts were perfect, taro items were creative and tasty. My wife was born in Hong Kong so we know a good bakery when we find it. Our friends also enjoyed their items. Oh, the inside was sparkling clean and open, even the restroom was beautiful (pretty blue tile!) You can watch the worker making and cooking items (at 1PM, so they'd be fresh until evening.) I think the owner really cares. I have no doubt that the relatively minor violation was taken care of quickly and had zero worries once inside. Last, this is not a coffee shop but out of curiosity I did order a coffee just because of the other review. It was fine, a nice coffee (and that's from some someone who has two espresso makers at home.) Some reviewers just wake up on the wrong side of the bed.

Yelp
In the Sawtelle area, this is a great little egg tart shop that has all pastries that remind me of my visits to Hong Kong. It has different variations of my all time favorite - egg tarts and we picked up the chocolate, strawberry, traditional portuguese, chocolate krispy and regular egg tart. We also picked up Hong Kong coffee and enjoyed our treats sitting outside on the patio.

Yelp
This is the second time we came here. First time was good. Sellers seem friendly then... but today is another story. Tarts are ok... but it seems patronizing the place with a bad attitude is off putting. DTLA Chinatown has better egg tarts than this for way less. So we left. Customer service is always key to entice a person to come in. I may not know what you are going through, but I don't to feel unwelcome. There's plenty of dessert places to go to.

Yelp
Located on Sawtelle, is Supita. They make traditional and Portuguese egg tarts, along with other sweet and savory desserts/breads, and drinks. Decent size for a bakery with outdoor dining. Egg tarts were very fresh, delicious and not hard.

Yelp
Dude... holy shit these cheese tarts are the best thing I've ever had!!! I couldn't stop eating them! Supita thank you. My entire family and I are in love with your tarts. Please don't raise your prices! And who cares about the C rating, as long as the tarts keep coming so will your loyal customers.

Yelp
I recently moved to Sawtelle and was so happy to come across Supita. Starting off with the ambiance, the place has outdoor seating so no need to go anywhere else if you're hanging around the area. Shop is cute, clean, and filled with various freshly baked goods that has the whole store smelling great. We had the pork floss bun, cheese bread, sausage and mushroom bread that were very good. On top of that, the store also sells Hong Kong style drinks like milk tea and coffee that are a great addition to what we ate. A good option in the area for something different from all the restaurants. Employees were also very kind and provided good service. Looking forward to coming back often!

Yelp
I've loved egg tarts all my life, so I had to check Supita out! The store is small and cozy with a wide selection of tarts, breads, and more. The owners were nice and friendly and spoke Cantonese. I got half a dozen for takeaway, and they kept very nicely in transport. These egg tarts are more egg-y than usual, which gave it a nice jiggle! Yum!
