"This spot is aptly named. The beef is rosy, tender, and even a bit juicy. It’s been open in Danvers since the Nixon administration, so it must be doing something right." - Terrence Doyle

Google
Stopped by Supreme Roast Beef and had an awesome meal! The roast beef was perfectly cooked tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The staff was super friendly and made the experience even better. Definitely a go-to spot for a great bite. Can’t wait to come back!

Google
I went there for dinner with my family. We ordered combo beef with onion rings . They were so juice tender and perfectly cooked. The size was more than generous . Onion rings were crispy and home made. The stuff was very friendly and welcoming. It’s the best place if you are looking for delicious food and nice environment. Highly recommended

Google
Roast beef sandwich is good, it's smaller and less meat then you get at Jamie's for the same price but I would still come back for it

Chiara Chandoha

Google
This local North shore roast beef place is good! Not a chain, but a locally owed business! Service was excellent, polite and pleasant folks served us. No table serve, but rather go up to the counter and order. The large roast beef was delicious, had it three way, provolone cheese, mayo and BBQ sauce. FF were good too! Give them a try, you won't be disappointed!

Google
Have enjoyed good beefs here for 25 years. Good memories and now my son likes it. Nice staff, clean place. Friendly. Good street parking. Thanks guys!!!

Google
I recently dined at Supreme Roast Beef in Danvers, and it was an exceptional experience! The roast beef sandwich was perfectly cooked and flavorful. The staff was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this spot for anyone craving quality roast beef and seafood dishes.

Google
Supreme is our favorite roast beef spot. It's still great after the ownership change, though they don't seem to be getting the buns as crispy as previously.

Google
This place is fuego. We flew in from Colorado and wanted some local seafood. Simple fish and chips would do, how a place batters and makes their fish and chips says a lot. This place is absolutely stellar. The have a very thin crisp layer of breading on the fish and then the most moist and delicious fish within. It all came out piping hot and fresh. Oh and the tartar sauce is unreal, tastes housemade. This local joint is awesome and I highly recommend it.

Dara W.

Yelp
Still the same old place. The food was delicious and the portions seemed much larger than I remember. There was a lot of mayo on the beef sandwich so that could be worked on, but otherwise it was delicious. We got a couple beef dinners and a chicken kabob salad. Staff were friendly and took our to-go order. We had to wait a bit while it was being made. Nothing unusual about that and food was ready pretty quickly. The place looked mostly the same in terms of layout. It was bright inside and was busy. We love coming back here whenever we visit.

David S.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the super roast beef onion three way. Cute and classic place with a great three way.

Michael L.

Yelp
Waited INSIDE of the restaurant was looked at by everyone that worked there but nobody acknowledged my presence. They finally asked if I called in an order but I had not and still needed to order. They turn back around to further ignore me and then ANSWER THE PHONE TO TAKE AN ORDER. I gave up and walked out. NEVER AGAIN!!!!! I'll never beg for someone to mistreat me and take my money. ROCCO'S is right next door and has way better costumer service and food!!!!

Shannon M.

Yelp
This place is amazing! The staff is very friendly, but the food, oh my goodness! The food isn't just awesome, it's a culinary work of art! The portions are very generous and seasoned to perfection! I'm looking forward to eating there again.

Janice L.

Yelp
Ordered food from Supremes. Roast beef was so dry and well done and were suppose to be on rolls but got them on a sub roll. Ordered French fries and onion rings only got the onion rings. Left food on my front porch and didn't let me know they delivered it. Sat out on the porch for at least ten minutes. It cost me over $50 for this order which included a $6.50 service fee. Won't be back there.

Marco M.

Yelp
This is the very best sandwich shop in the Danvers area! Whenever I'm in the area, I stop in! See the picture of my Roast Beef sandwich. This is a real picture of my order! It taste just as good as it is piled high!

Larry B.

Yelp
Apparently new ownership of this downtown Danvers mainstay. Not the same. Waited 1/2 hour for chicken finger basket. Chicken fingers tasted like they were drenched in salt, not close to previous quality. Onion rings were a stuck together mess. French fries weren't hot. It was busy and the front staff was totally unorganized or untrained . If I hadn't said something god knows how long I would have waited but based on other people's expressions they are not fostering repeat business.

Eric Y.

Yelp
Ordered a beef basket which is a roast beef with fries. They updated the packaging on this. Instead of putting it into a styrofoam container like in the past, they just shove an order of fries and the sandwich in a paper bag. Not a huge deal although it gives you no good place to put your ketchup for dipping your fries. The real problem is that the beef sandwich tasted funky. Sort of tasted of chemicals. They have sadly gone from one of the best places in the area to get a beef sandwich to one of the worst. Go elsewhere for your beef.

Sandi B.

Yelp
Delicious over stuffed roast beef sandwich. Extremely tasty and satisfying! Highly recommend this place

PJ J.

Yelp
When in Danvers, Supreme's is a must!! The best staff and food in town! Sauce cheese mayo!

Maureen L.

Yelp
I rarely order online and did so only to learn when I went to pick up the order that because I'd used sirved.com instead of the Supreme app- that my order placed thru sirved doesn't show up on their end??? Then I was told I should've called and had The sign on the store menu explaining. Why would any establishment use an app that doesn't communicate a customer? Then I was told I'd need to wait As the food hadn't been prepared. Seriously??? -how about sorry for the inconvenience & a little bit of hustle to get the order ready? I'd waited the 15 minutes sirved.com stated. Order was wrong and food was so-so at best. Place has gone WAYdownhill since it was sold. Dropped the last $$$ I'll ever spend In there. Could've driven any number of places, ordered in person for sure gotten better food, and definitely better service. Been a Supreme fan for 30+ years....never going back!

Kelsea L.

Yelp
Great little local spot that pretty ideal for to-go lunch eats. My fiancé talks non-stop about their roast beef (these kinds of shops don't exist in Atlanta) so I was thrilled to get a chance to try them. Really yummy and supporting a local spot is always a plus too

Kelleigh S.

Yelp
A hometown fav. Can't really go wrong with anything from here. I can vouch for the chicken kabob salad with creamy green dressing and please this review as a sign to get the broccoli cheddar bites!

D T.

Yelp
Been going here for many, many years. Always good. Friendly service. Everyone loves the roast beef - steak and cheese are also amazing. Don't forget the fries!

Emma J.

Yelp
Got the grilled cheese which is large and made on a hamburger bun! It was delicious! I also tried my boyfriend's turkey sub which was amazing. The mayo was so good and the roll was fresh. Everything here is a great price too. I didn't get any vibes of it being dirty. It's just a local shop with kind of an old fashioned feel. I think it's a great spot to grab food.

James G.

Yelp
Went yesterday, apparently they have new chicken cutlets that are homemade ? Absolutely disgusting!! This place has gone down hill!!! Bring back the original Supremes

Maria B.

Yelp
Awesome roast beef! The staff is also amazing! Would definitely recommend to anyone!!

Laura R.

Yelp
Excellent roast beef sandwiches, loaded with beef and flavor. Even had a slider size which was big! Came back in April and was disappointed as beef had gristle but today in June was back to normal . Under new owners.

Whitney T.

Yelp
The roast beef sandwich here is really really good. Somehow BBQ sauce, roast beef, cheese, and mayo make a wonderful combination. (I usually hate BBQ sauce) The gyro was pretty average though. I did take of two stars because the workers here don't wear masks while working... gloves are also not used while making the food here as well...

RevCindy A.

Yelp
Staff doesn't observe covid guidelines, manager attacks customers when pressed. Very professional behavior.

Jim S.

Yelp
Grew up eating here but a few years ago stopped going because the food had gotten so bad plus they kept messing up my orders. Last night there was no place else open so I begrudgingly went to Supreme. Wife got chicken kabob salad and I got roast beef dinner. The kabob salad was very good and my dinner was great. Onion rings were the best I've had in a while. We'll be going back again. Hopefully theyll be just as good next time.

Kristin H.

Yelp
Disappointed to find out when I arrived that they were not following Covid protocols and requirements - cook and server not wearing masks. I am heating the food again at home in oven just in case but should have read past Yelp reviews and spent my money at a place that cares about its customers.

Nico J.

Yelp
Second time during the covid that I came from Peabody to support supremes - asked for extra duck sauce when I ordered and then when I picked up I asked again and was told " there is plenty in there" When my kids opened their large order of chicken fingers(10) there was 5 duck sauce I am done with supremes not just because of the " mistake" but more because of how rude they were both times that this has happened

Joshua B.

Yelp
Worst Beef I think I have ever had in my life. If you want a NorthShore roastbeef you should avoid this place at all costs. How do you even think it's OK to serve overcooked 3 day old beef. Grey and cold!

Anthony K.

Yelp
This is one of my first power of use. The mildly tasty roast beef sandwich doesn't make up for the dirty looking store, and staff issues. With the way the front looks I can only imagine the way the back looks. I also couldn't help but notice that there was a sweaty dude with no hair net and gross looking white shirt cooking my food LOL the girl working the counter was nice but you could tell the owner was not. If you're looking for a good hot sandwich try the Panini place across the street

Stacey W.

Yelp
I won't ever go back after tonight. We went in to eat after a baseball game. We had to use the restrooms and were instructed where to go. The woman yelled out back to the employee as a warning, I believe "Tony, customers". As we walked out back to the restrooms one of the employees was smoking right inside the kitchen near the steak and other open food items.....so disgusting. The bathrooms were filthy as well and neither bathroom had paper towels. The men's room which my son used was absolutely nasty.

Steve L.

Yelp
This is the only place I have found that rivals Nick's in Beverly. I am no roast beef expert, but Supreme makes a damn good sandwich. Just writing this makes me hungry for another...Mail order? I wish... Seriously, you can't go wrong with this place. But just be aware, it is cash only!

Jennifer R.

Yelp
Supreme is always consistent however we are never wow'ed by anything. My husbands "go to" is the roast beef basket 3 way. He says it's pretty average when comparing to local places. I've had the zucchini sticks and pizza roll which i would say the same about. Pretty average. Quick pick up time & affordable prices. I'd say it's worth giving it a shot!

Brian P.

Yelp
Ever since the owner switch, the quality has gone down quite severely. Also, the new staff is quite rude and confused...almost like they have no idea how to run a sub shop. I keep going back and hope that it all changes, but it seems like it just won't. I hate to move on from what used to be a fine establishment, but it looks like I'll go to another roast beef shop in the future. Sorry guys...you were great before, and the change this time has probably done you in.

Ed B.

Yelp
I don't know how to start on this. The beef is half of what I was use too. The French frys are soggy, the so called onion rings about 8-10. Were so soaked with oil it's like they were left over and tried to retry to cook them. The salad was all brown and wilted. If I really wasn't so hungry I would have return and request my money back. Never again will I eat here. My old stomping grounds. Must have changed ownership. You can try and stay in business with this type of food but I don't think it's going to happen. Best of luck to you. My hard earned money on this is not going to happen again.

Yelp
I wasn't a Roast Beef fan until I meet you SRB..... Growing up, the closet contact I had with Roast Beef was Arby's. Yes, pretty pathetic but those were the cards I was dealt with in the Midwest. So when I moved to Boston over a year ago I noticed a slew of RB places. Since I wasn't a fan it never registered on my radar. Well that all changed forever with my discovery of true RB heaven with SRB. I was passing thru the area one afternoon to get my haircut and I noticed a huge line of people outside waiting to order here. I discovered that once a year they roll back prices to what they were in the early 70s. Now price might lure you in but kick arse food will have you running back for more. I figured it was all gimmick. I was so wrong. Weeks passed so I decided it was time to loose my RB cherry and checked out the yelps in the North Shore. SRB came highly recommended so I finally took the plunge. You will notice the retro dining area and signage. It harks back to the 60/70's but it is very clean and well care for. The staff and cooks are Greeks and one thing I know about Greeks is they can make some awesome food. It can be a bit of a barrier with the broken English trying to order but not a big deal. I decided to go with the Supreme Roast Beef Basket with BBQ Sauce, Fries and a Coke. The price was around $8.50 with tax. The RB is the most tender and delicious I have ever tasted. It melts in your mouth and the BBQ is sloppy and tangy. The shoe string fries are on par with McDonalds if your are a fan. The Coke is good but fountain refills are extra...just like the 70s. I hope SRB has spoiled it for everyone else because I will use them to judge RB from here on out....

Yelp
Oh Supreme's, how you have failed me. Danvers is my hometown and growing up there meant you and your friends go to Supreme's for a beef basket at least a couple times a week. Its right down town (rather Danvers' poor excuse for a down town) and pretty much was where kids went to hang out. The North Shore is big on roast beef, and Supreme's USED to be the place to go. The beef was phenomenal. I mean it used to just be outstanding. So thinly cut, and moist. The service used to be phenomenal as well. Paul used to be the guy who stood behind the counter and took care of the fries and mozzarella sticks, and though he was definitely a huge creep, everybody loved him because he knew EVERYONE of our orders. Literally walk in, Paul tells the beef guy to throw on a large beef cheese sauce for me. Then it all changed.... Now, Supremes is an embarassment to my Danvers Roast Beef pride. Its just terrible. The beef is dry, poorly cut, and usually cold in the middle. The fries have gone to shit, and they fired Paul (probably because he was so creepy, but still!). The service is horrendous now, and everything feels different. I gave supreme's two stars just because I remember a better time there, and to the new patron it might seem better. Supremes... you broke my heart.

Mandee D.

Yelp
Very disappointed with this place. It's my favorite place for roast beef but with a pandemic going on you would think the cooks and the cashier would be wearing a mask and gloves. I won't be going back there til they wanna be more sanitary. Very unprofessional.

Frank Z.

Yelp
While this place does make a good roast beef, it is not Nick's. I eat here on occasion and for the most part I get a quality beef, with a good amount of fries or rings or whatever you order for a side. Its open late, which is perfect when you've got a hankerin' for a late night beef. However, I have run into the occasion where there is some gristle in my sandwich that needed to be spit out. Not cool. It's an extremely rare occasion, to be sure, but I've never ever run into that at Nick's. For condiments they use your standard James River BBQ sauce, and perfectly reasonably duck sauce for your chicken fingers. I must say though, that they nickel and dime on the quality of their ketchup packets. It's some brand I have never heard of and while they will give you more than enough for your fries, it really is lacking in taste. Pony up for some Heinz, Supreme's, your customers will appreciate it. Lastly, they have been taking credit cards for some time now. Not sure when they switched, but it is absolutely a payment option as that is how I pay.

Jack C.

Yelp
Looking for a good roast beef sandwich joint in Danvers? Then go to Supreme's Roast Beef. They've got small, medium and large sizes. If you order the Supreme's Roast Beef basket, you get a medium roast beef and a whole bunch of fries. I ike mine with mayo and onions. I've had the fried chicken wings and they are good. They throw in packs of duck sauce like they were throwing confetti out the window. Verdict: Sorry Arby's and Roy Rogers. You guys just don't come close to Supreme's masterful roast beef sandwiches. That's probably why I don't see you guys up here in the Northshore.

Zach T.

Yelp
Get the chicken finger sub 3-way or roast beef 3-way -- cannot go wrong -- these guys know how to cook

E G.

Yelp
I've tried every roast beef shop between Revere & Salisbury many, many times. Supreme's is simply the best. Warm, jucy & the toasted bun just hits the spot like no other on the North Shore. It's the kind of thing I find myself taking a 20 mile detour to get. Sometimes I have to get 2 beefs, one for right now and a second togo, you know, for later....

Mike M.

Yelp
I stop in here when I'm in the area and have never been disappointed. The food is always great, especially the onion rings! The ladies who usually wait on me (Mindy & Stephanie???) are wonderful. Keep up the great work.

Big G.

Yelp
A local favorite, Supreme has great food at reasonable prices. The roast beef always tastes great. The sauce is spicy and has a bite. Don't over do it! They are very generous with the french fries and onion rings. Small is large enough to feed two people. Friendly staff. It can be very busy with high school students in the afternoon and evening.

Robin R.

Yelp
I am in town staying at my daughter's while she is away. I walked here today for lunch to try their roast beef sandwich. I got a super roast beef sandwich with barbecue sauce, onions, lettuce and tomatoes on an onion roll with a basket size side of onion rings. The portions were huge, the roll fresh and soft, the roast beef piled high was tender and tasty and the onion rings delectable! I left with a very full and happy belly. I read other reviews that said cash only and terrible ketchup. They now do take credit cards and they are using a good ketchup. I will definitely return here on my next trip to Danvers!

Gregory P.

Yelp
Used to be so much better. About ten years ago, I literally ate here every single day for almost 2 years. Most of the employees were part of the family and they literally knew what 500 of their most frequent customers were going to get. On a great day, this place still absolutely rocks. On a bad day its just OK. For every 2 OK days, you get a great day. I still say take the gamble! Just don't get a hamburger or sub here. Go elsewhere for that. This place is good for roast beef and a few of their appetizers only. If you want a guaranteed great roast beef, also try Nick's RB in Beverly (my favorite despite growing up around the corner from Supremes)

Keith C.

Yelp
I had the Fresh Haddock sandwich today for lunch! Best fish sandwich i've eaten! Blows away anything Essex, Ipswich have to offer & it's only 5.25! Be 9 or 10 bucks anywhere else... Not to mention all their other food! Roast Beef consistently great for almost 50 years!! onion rings. Chicken kabob salads are best in town by far!!!

Kayla G.

Yelp
This one of the worst places to get food from, the fries weren't cooked, cold and soft. I asked for Honey BBQ fingers they did not put the sauce I wanted this place is very deceiving, try somewhere else

Sarah T.

Yelp
So quick and so good! They have fabulous skinny fries! Yum!! So salty and so many of them!! The burgers are fantastic and large! And less than $3! Simply crazy and insane!! This beef is fresh beef - not frozen. You can really tell that they are hand-formed and seasoned so well! Juicy and fabulous! My stomach growling for a burger!

Clarissa K.

Yelp
Great subs. My husband and I had subs at lunchtime he the cheesesteak 12" and I the Italian 12". Both freshly made as ordered. The portion is so large it is hard to finish and you find that you are full all day. Great quality meats, delicious!

Jay P.

Yelp
Love this place. It's just good, hands down. My best friend and I come whenever we're staying in Danvers. The amount of fries and onion rings you get is insane and the sandwiches are sure to fill you up. Do yourself a favor and get a "dinner" its a ton of food at a great price.

Chris C.

Yelp
One year ago, my gf and I ordered a sub and roast beef from Supreme only to find that many of the toppings my gf ordered for were missing. It was literally just chicken pieces tossed into a sub roll. My roast beef was good. Because of the dissatisfaction my gf had for this place after that instance, which at the time I didn't think was a big deal, we avoided Supreme for the good part of a year. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.... So recently we finally came back to Supreme (after finding one Subway was closed earlier than their posted hours indicated, and another Subway having no sub rolls left). I ordered another roast beef ($5.80 as of 4/18/2015) and my now fiancee ordered a veggie sub ($3.25). She called Supreme in advance to find out about the vegetables. Are they grilled, fresh, etc.? They confirm the vegetables were fresh and not grilled. So I go to pick up the order without knowing exactly what she ordered. The bill somehow got to $14.07. I inquired as to why a roast beef sub and vegetable sub would both cost that much. The lady at the register told me my fiancee ordered a chicken kabob sub. She then asked the cook to clarify the order who told her that the sub was a veggie sub. She only deducted a $1 from the original charge (after hearing her mummer something about there being a difference of $2). I still thought I was being over charged but thought perhaps the toppings or something was ordered that increased the price...always know what you're picking up (which I tend to, but not this time). As I get home, I looked up exactly what we ordered and well $5.80 + $3.25 + tax (6.25%) DOES NOT EQUAL $13.07 (it's $9.62 rounded up). And there is no mention of extra toppings costing anything. It's a difference of roughly $4, but the principle is that they schemed me to gain an extra few dollars (that's called fraud for short). The lady's immediate assumption of there being only a difference of a $1 was too rushed to indicate any form of care for the customer. Moral of the story is not to go here. They didn't care or pay attention to our order the two times we came here that were both a year apart, so their carelessness is a consistent practice.

Tayla P.

Yelp
I am actually here right now as I type this and I have to note that I am a fan. I had to try their fries to see what all the hype was about, and everyone was right- their fries are very good. I like that they are thin and not fat like other places. HOWEVER my one thing about this place is the KETCHUP that comes with the fries is awful!! Might i suggest invesing in some HEINZ? Seriously, the ketchup just does nothing for the fries and with fries this good you need the best ketchup also. I would honestly consider it because it DOES make a difference. Also another side note for everyone, when you order a salad, make sure to ask for extra dressing on the side, just in case. I have found that they do not provide enough.

Sarah C.

Yelp
I've eaten here a few times before and the food was always decent. I recently stopped by after work to pick up a sub and fries and got home and was disappointed. all day I was craving pickles, so I decided to get a chicken cutlet sub with American cheese, extra pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and light mayo with a side of small fries. there was only 1 other person in there and my food was ready in less than 5 minutes. I brought it home and realized they forgot my cheese, pickles, and onions. just shredded lettuce and tomatoes, and soggy chicken pieces and fries... I was so disappointed. did they pay attention at all to my order? I wish I had those items in my fridge but didn't so my sub was really bland.. also they covered it in mayo when I asked for light. I will not be coming back, even though my bf likes to go there..
