This review is for the cooking classes. We purchased our first cooking class through Sur La Table, we were a little disappointed that we didn’t make everything that it was a group thing and that only one person at each table really got to the main part of a portion of the cooking then was finished by staff while we walk around the store. I felt like we didn’t learn too much. Was pretty disappointed.

My family did a cooking class today and had such a good time together. Our instructor was great and very informative in her class instruction. I’m a fairly accomplished cook/baker but my husband and son are both more novices and we all had fun cooking and learning together. The staff working in the store was also very pleasant and helpful. I’d recommend this store and a cooking class to anyone. Thanks for a fun morning.

My husband and I attended the croissant class on Memorial Day. Jules and Christy are knowledgeable and friendly. Nothing fancy, just good instructions to be able to do this at home ourselves.

Did the Build pasta from scratch class with my girlfriend as a birthday gift. We both had a great time and will 100% go back for another in the future. The instructor was very helpful and knowledgeable. 10/10

I'm Rolling Out Dough in Luxury with Marble on Marble! 🙌👏😁🥳🎉🍾🎀🎊🥂🪅🎂🪇🩷 A couple years ago or so, I bought an exquisite genuine marble roller and pin plus a pastry board to utilize to prep my breakfast, lunch and dinner meals and it has been good to me. When I'm not using it I store fruit and florals on it! 😊☺️ I clean it thoroughly before and after every use. Happy with my purchase! 👏

We took a class at SLT Easton, Columbus OH today. It was absolutely incredible. The staff were wonderful. The chef and support team were patient and accommodating. The sales staff were the same. It will definitely be a repeat even for us! Loved it!

Emily is very helpful and stellar, we appreciated her soft-spoken demeanor--the cappuccino was divine and reminded us of Spain. The store is clean and orderly, with cooking classes going on while you browse. Very classy! Will certainly return!

I recently booked a cooking class here and was very excited for this. First the cooking classes are located in the back room of the store. The store has anything and everything you may want for your kitchen and cooking. Most of it in my opinion based on online retailers is overpriced. Upon arrival they call you back and ask everyone to was their hands. After you find your spot. Well it was just me and 1 other person and split everyone into 4 groups, that means you may be sharing your cook with another party, I was not a fan of this because you don't know if you will get along or not and cohesively creating a dish you need that and good communication. The other party we were with were annoyed by this too as I think they were on a date and didn't want a kid and adult interrupting that. I understand the kid was excited and a bit annoying but he's a kid. It is kid friendly but you do have to be 14. The chef went over some cutting skills and a few other tips for the dish. We had a great menu, New York strip steak, Ratatouille and creme brulee. First we cut up all the items for the Ratatouille, then cooked it that took a while, we were given a small break to look around the store or go get a bottle of wine from somewhere I tried Brio but that was a lost cause, no one was even at the bar. Then we got to use a blowtorch to caramelize the sugar on the creme brulee. This was cool. Then we seared our steaks after it was all plated we ate you do eat standing up. Best part no cleanup. I would definitely do it again but hopefully with 2 more people I know and like the whole sharing food and cooking with strangers just dampened the experience for me. As far as parking there is free parking at the mall. The experience is not cheap but pretty fun. I would recommend trying it. If this review helped you at all please mark it as helpful and follow me for more reviews around the world.

Yelp
Attended a French pastry class today. It was very informative and we made some delicious foods. Definitely recommend! The staff was super helpful and friendly. Also bought some nice items for my kitchen.

Yelp
Had to check out the new location for Sur La Table. In Feb '24 they moved from the north outdoor area of Easton the South outdoor area, taking over the vacant William Sonoma spot near Brio. This is my happy place. I like this location much better than their old location and the space works better for them than it did for Williams Sonoma. The staff is friendly and offered to help me determine which set of knives I may want to upgrade. I decided to just sharpen my old Wustoff set and maybe get some new pans another day. It always pays to invest in quality cookware. If you take care of it they often last a lifetime. If you look at it that way the items in this store cease to be expensive and become a great value. While there I noticed Sur La Table had knocked out some of William Sonomas walls which elongated the store and also allowed for a much bigger cooking class area. The store was beautiful. Nice job relocating. The store is gorgeous and fun to shop at. .

Yelp
We went here for a cooking class for New York Steakhouse. They had the tables set up for 4, 2 facing 2. Each table shared the cooking and prepping for the meal as well as share the food portions. The food was amazing and we had plenty of time prep, cook and eat in our time. They do let you bring wine to enjoy during the class and have some to purchase as well. What I will say is there wasn't much to do cooking wise. The crème brûlée was started in the beginning of class and they had 2 volunteers do some of that while the rest watched. Another part of the food prep was blanching the kale which they did while they had us walk around the store for a break. It was less cooking than I would've thought because you have to share the prep and cooking between 4 people and the instructor did a lot for us as well. I did enjoy the experience overall!

Yelp
Attended our first cooking class and had a great time. Wonderful instructors and we had hands on experience making pasta which was new for us. As an attendee of the class you receive 10% off at the store or $10 off a future booking of another class which is a wonderful perk for a fun couple hours of cooking.

Yelp
This review is based on the Sur La Table cooking classes. I'd been wanting to do a cooking class for a while, and ended up booking the surf and turf course. You receive a printed out recipe for every course that you do. They had fruit infused water, but you can bring your own drinks which is highly recommended. They had glasses you can use for your wine. The tables each had spaces for 4 people. They aren't assigned, so when you walk in, you can choose where to sit. Usually people come in 2s and cook with another pair. It wasn't as hands on as I thought because all 4 people share the responsibility of making the meal. You also all share the food that you cook. The steak was the best steak I had ever prepared. Perfectly seasoned and cooked. The side was just potatoes, and there weren't any green veggies or anything with it. So, that was a bit disappointing. We also didn't prepare the dessert-- that was already prepared by the chefs. But, overall experience was great! Note that there weren't any seats for you to sit down, so you stand the entire time. I'm quite tall & the table was shorter than I'd usually prepare food with, so it wasn't always the most comfortable.

Yelp
I had made a previous review for a Sur La Table class at the Cincinnati location. While the food and experience was fun, our instructor kinda killed the vibe. I was curious how it would compare to my experience at Easton for a different class. This one was more fun! Our instructor was polite, patient, and helpful. She wasn't snooty or rude if you asked questions or weren't very good at a skill such as cutting. At this class, they let us know we could walk across the street and grab wine from the neighboring restaurants if we would like. I thought that was a great idea and cool they allowed it! We made steak, salad, and potatoes. Very fun and such a good date idea.

Yelp
Placed an order for a le cresuet tea kettle as a birthday present. The website indicated it would ARRIVE in 3 days. It has been 7 days, and the order has not even shipped. It's already too late to be the birthday present. I've contacted customer service three times and they refused to expedite the shipping and now refuse to cancel. It is clear that they are just farming out customer service to random people who have no incentive to actually help. This is the last last time I shop there or place an online order.

Yelp
Coming to this store is always a treat. They have the friendliest staff, who are always willing to help and answer questions. They have also made some great product recommendations, and you can tell that many of the folks who work here really love cooking and baking. The items do tend to be on the higher priced side, but I have found some great deals in the clearance section. Also a very good place to find gifts for food lovers (or for oneself). Who could resist Star Wars ice cube trays?

Yelp
I love this store because you can find items that save time and the staff always offer to help. In particular, they have a great selection of chef knives and they will let you try them to see how it fits your hand.

Yelp
Do you love cooking, baking, or just dabbling in the kitchen? Do you insist on only the best (or at least above average) in your kitchenware? Do you have a fair amount of disposable income? If your answer to all three is an emphatic YES, then Sur la Table is for you. Located in one of the outer "town square" sections of Easton you'll find this paradise of kitchen essentials. The store itself is not huge, but they've used space efficiently to pack it full of only the best products from around the world (but often France). They have a live kitchen in the back offering frequent classes. On this recent visit we decided on a half sheet baking pan ($25) and two French-made tart dishes ($5 each). These items did truly seem of high quality worthy of a premium price. Staff seemed reasonably knowledgeable about the products and had been around a kitchen a time or two themselves which is what I'd expect in a store of this caliber. You can literally find almost anything for the kitchen in this store from compete sets of pans and bakeware to cookbooks to rare spices to small appliances. Premium products command a high price, though, and sales are not too common. If you want only the best, though, drop in and give Sur la Table a try!

Yelp
Dishonest creeps. My daughter went back in to buy the 5 quart staub on Black Friday sale for $149. They charged her the full price of + $350

Yelp
Booked multiple classes at Easton location and every one was canceled the day of with less than a 5 hour warning. Do not recommend booking for cooking classes since they seem to never actually have the ones on the schedule.

Yelp
I'm sure the actual store is fine however we are 3/3 on cancellations for the "Night Out" cooking classes. Over the course of 6 months we have tried booking a cooking class and all three were canceled for one reason or another. I'm curious if they have ever actually held a class or if they just enjoy taking my money so they can reimburse it later. Such a disappointing waste of time.

Yelp
I had to cancel a cooking class for my grandson because he wasn't able to attend the first one. Maryed took my call from Customer Services and looked up the order number because I was unable to find it. I did find it while she looked and we were able to verify. She was very pleasant and was sorry I had to cancel.

Yelp
One of my favorite stores to browse. Everyone is just so nice. AMAZING selection of Le Creuset to browse. I got my skillet from here and love it. Employees are so friendly each time and are passionate about their job.

Yelp
I adore this place! They have great sales and very helpful staff. The displays are well presented and sometimes it's just fun to go in here to look at all of the things you will either never need or still cannot figure out what to do with the item. I had an English recipe from hubs' Aunt that called for an ingredient I couldn't find at local stores. Walked in, told them what I was looking for and they led me right to it. This is the first Sur La Table I've ever been to that had the cooking classes as well. We signed up for one class; unfortunately it had to be cancelled. But exhibiting such classy customer service, they emailed me the recipes to all of the items that were going to be cooked at the cancelled class. Get your inner - or outer - chef on here!

Yelp
We signed up for s croissant making class and it was the most unorganized, crowded class I've ever attended. Too many people for so few working areas to be comfortable or to even see what was happening. All three of us were very disappointed and we never even stayed for the end of class. We'd never sign up for another class again

Yelp
It's kinda funny that Sur La Table and Williams-Sonoma are in the same Mall / Town Center / Whatever, because both stores offer very similar lineups and similar prices, though I found a few things I wanted for a bit less at SLT. The cooking classes are held in a bit larger area than the central "counter" at W-S, with a dedicated kitchen off the main showroom, but SLT also offers a few more try and sample areas, including their coffee machine bar with nearly every type of brewing you can think of, from the basic french press to a $2500 automatic espresso maker with self contained milk foaming engine. I did not make that name up. Really. I really enjoyed grabbing a sample cup of coffee, a little biscotti, and then wandering through the store. Even better, when we picked out a tagine that was sitting on the display shelf to purchase, the saleswoman who checked us out actually scanned it into the register, then went to the back to get us a brand new boxed one rather than the display model!

Yelp
If it weren't for B&O and Teavana this would be my favorite store at Easton.....if I had to utter a single complaint it would be that I'm too poor to shop there and that it is in a rather obscure place across from McCormick's. Quality ingredients, quality products, decent sales, and a top notch sales staff.....some day I aim to stock my kitchen with a combination of products from La Table and The Cookware Sorcerer on High.....someday. For now I'll be quite content with my great pan from the Sorcerer (which I could have and should have gotten for $12 less at Sur La Table) and wonderful silicon spatula and pasta strainer from Sur La Table. If you're into it, they also offer what appears to be a VERY innovative set of cooking classes.

Yelp
I enjoy this place. Its not huge but i like browsing. They carry a good selection of quality products. Their cooking classes are usually well worth the money. The staff are absolutely pleasant to talk to and knowledgeable. We saved up and bought a jura coffee machine and it was an ideal buying experience. If i had one small complaint it would be that their price point on some items is high, but the do price match so it helps. I think because of the people that work here, i will use them for kitchen items.

Yelp
Just took a "Make it and Take it" cookie class. I signed up because I thought I could augment my store bought cookie trays with some homemade cookies and I'm too busy to make cookies at home. This is the first class that I've taken at Sur La Table. We were working in small groups. As a result, it wasn't as hands on like I hoped it would be. My bigger concern with the class was that no one but myself wore gloves yet we were all touching dough and shared the resulting cookies. People were eating and drinking at the work stations. It's ok to touch food at home, but to be working with strangers and having everyone's hands in the food was disgusting. I threw the cookies away after I left. It's not worth the risk of getting sick.

Yelp
This is by far one of my favorite new places at Easton. No wait, one of my favorite kitchen stores at Easton. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! The hubby and I were out at Easton and stopped into this store. We were quickly greeted by a store employee, but we were free to roam the store. Yeah, talk about alot of neat stuff!!! Its definitely a place that I'd go to if I had a couple of thousands of dollars to spend!!!
