Best Restaurants for Korean Food and Barbecue in San Diego | Eater San Diego

"Sura Korean BBQ is one of the only all-you-can-eat Korean barbecue options in Chula Vista. The restaurant comes from partners Liang and Joon Lee, who also operate Common Theory, Of 52 Remedies, and Woomiok in the Convoy District. The move into Chula Vista comes as Liang wanted to open a restaurant in the border town he grew up in. The meat is served buffet-style, complemented by buckets of pho, offer pho, rice paper pancake, pancit, and tortillas, a nod to the melding of cultures in South Bay. Three tiers of proteins range from the classic set that comes with spicy beef belly, LA galbi, a garlic butter small octopus, to the Sura, which includes lobster tail and prime rolled short rib. Pair with a glass from the wide selection of beers on tap, wine, or soju with all-day happy hour prices on weekdays. Take-out bento boxes include meats, like beef bulgogi or spicy pork belly, with rice, fried dumplings, and tofu stew." - Helen I. Hwang

The Hottest Restaurants in San Diego, November 2024

"The owners of Woomiok and Realm of the 52 Remedies are behind this new Korean barbecue restaurant next to the Chula Vista location of their popular gastropub Common Theory. Offering a variation on the all-you-can-eat model, Sura features tiered pricing levels, with the top tier including prime ribeye and New York steak. But the all-access buffet includes a good assortment of meats, including pork bulgogi and spicy chicken, as well as a variety of cooked dishes like Filipino pancit and Korean fried rice." - Candice Woo

Google
I was surprised by the quality of meat and shrimp as well as the attentive service we received. Price is a bit higher than similar restaurants. However, it is completely worth it. We will defenetly be back.

Google
Meat, meat, and more meat… choose the classic, premium, or take it up a notch to Sura level with lobster and way too much more that no one could ever manage to consume. The atmosphere is very K-pop on the TVs. The service is fast and lots of sides to choose from. Bulgogi was my fav with the rib fingers also delicious.

Google
Very tasty Korean side dishes, except Ramen; too salty & not enough soup. All meats were good! The only down part was that a server forgot our meat orders and had to wait for over 10~15 min & call the other server to order a new one. But overall, we had a really good lunch and will recommend it. **Google map navigated us to its back doorway, so zigzagged out the narrow residential street to find its parking side.

Google
The self-serve station is a brilliant touch at this Korean BBQ spot! It lets you grab exactly the portion you want, which is fantastic for minimizing food waste. We loved it and will definitely be back.

Google
Came here with two friends for dinner on a Thursday night. We went with the Premium menu which had a good selection of meats for a average price. The meats were tasty as long as you cook them right. The meat and side bars had a good selection too. We ordered the Apple Soju to share, which I liked. The tables were a little close together, which can make it awkward or difficult to get up. I would definitely come back again if I was in the area and wanted KBBQ.

Google
Authentic Korean BBQ AYCE the curry rice is excellent and kids friendly. Must try

Katia Love it!

Google
Sura Korean BBQ offers a vibrant dining experience with its authentic Korean flavors and interactive grilling style. The restaurant features a variety of high-quality meats, from tender bulgogi , alongside fresh vegetables ,many other delicious(side dishes). The service is attentive, and the staff is knowledgeable about the menu, guiding diners through the grilling process. The atmosphere is casual and pretty happening, perfect for both casual meals and special gatherings. Prices are reasonable considering the generous portions and the overall quality of the food. Love this place. Parking was NO problem at all. They serve wine a lnd beer. Great options for vegetarians too. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️♥️

Google
I came right when the place opened at 4 and the place was empty and had kpop playing. It was great service! The first thing I noticed I loved that it’s mostly self serve, that’s something I love! I was able to grab my sides and sauces as much as I wanted! And the self serve meats as well. You can order meats and also do self serve and it’s all included! I didn’t get to enjoy the ice cream so I’ll be back for that!

Yelp
Finally a great KBBQ in Chula Vista Food is great, staff friendly as well. Self serve meat with a ton of sides to choose from. Will be coming back here soon!

Yelp
Our server Chloe was great she was so kind and funny the food was also great as well and it looked very clean too anyways I LOVE this restaurant it's so nice.

Yelp
Good food for a good price. The Ramen tastes good but it's just top ramen in a hot pot. Alayna provided great service.

Yelp
I really enjoyed eating at Sura. I think it rivals, if not tops, any of the KBBQ in Clairemont. The meats were of excellent quality. The marinades were good. The buffet style bar for all of the hot and cold sides was clean and constantly being refreshed and refilled. And the self serve meat area was also kept full and clean. The servers were attentive and the place was really clean (minus the somewhat slippery floor that comes with every KBBQ place). Since it was our first time here, we stuck to our favorite and basic cuts of meat. The soy marinated brisket and pork belly, LA galbi, and the rib fingers were all really good. We also tried the spicy chicken and beef bulgogi (a tad too sweet for me, but still yummy) and the corn cheese which was suuuuuuuuper cheesy. My favorite items were Cucumber kimchi, the Mac salad and the LA Galbi. I can't wait to go again and try more items... and hopefully remember to take pictures.

Yelp
I recently discovered a hidden gem for Korean BBQ in Otay Mesa--Sura Korean BBQ. Initially, we planned to go to Mana, but the long line led us to explore Yelp, where we stumbled upon Sura. I'm thrilled we did! Sura offers an excellent All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) experience with three pricing tiers: $36.99 for Classic, $44.99 for Premium, and $56.99 for Sura (which means "king's meal" in Korean). Each option includes access to a cold buffet line with an array of fresh meats and side dishes, as well as a hot buffet line featuring various cooked dishes. They even include unlimited soda and soft serve ice cream. There's also a senior discount of 10%, which is a nice bonus! Unique to Sura is their hot food section with delicious offerings like Japchae, fried sesame balls, and Korean Fried Rice. They also have a fantastic Marinated Meats Island offering a variety of meats and sauces. The AYCE allows you to order 3 items per person from the menu, providing a great way to savor the variety they offer. The seafood options, like shrimp and octopus, were incredibly fresh, and the quality of the meats was top-notch. Our server, Alvin, was attentive and checked on us often, ensuring a wonderful dining experience. Overall, Sura Korean BBQ is a must-visit for anyone craving quality Korean BBQ in the area. I highly recommend it!

Yelp
Sura was a great spot for KBBQ! Different from what I am used to. Firstly, the food was yummy. The cuts of meet had variety and there were sides you can pick from, from jappchae to dumplings to sesame balls, with a drink bar (soda machine). My friends and I came for lunch and we got seated reasonably fast, did not have to wait too long. The style of KBBQ here is that we were able to pick out the meat we wanted, by getting up and going to the meat bar. It was clean, with tongs for each type of meat. This was great because we can pick however much meat we can eat instead of the server giving us the portions- this wastes no food! This was the same for the sides, we get on our own. If we needed the server, there is a call button and they came right away to help us with getting steamed egg, or new grill. We thought it was so efficient and so well designed because servers were available to help, and we had the freedom to portion our food. It was clean inside and I would be coming back here again!

Yelp
Relatively new KBBQ in the area, and I have to say it's a welcome addition to the community. What's not to like? AYCE kbbq! I especially enjoyed that some of the meats and most of the Bon Chan is self serve. All the food was on point. Well seasoned and delicious. My kids loved the sides and the self serve ice cream. The atmosphere is modern and spacious. The service was awesome. They really take care of you. Overall, a great place to enjoy kbbq. A must try!

Yelp
This place has really good food. The ambiance was nice. The service was good. Too bad we forgot the ice cream ‍ We will be going back here again! Did I mention happy hour? Yes there is happy hour! The price was also reasonable!

Yelp
First off, parking on a Saturday night is quite difficult in the area since it's in a very residential community. We were seated immediately after adding our name to the waitlist. The bachan bar is really cool and something I've never seen before. Highlights were the kimchi, rice paper/radish, and the bulgogi meat. The bulgogi and pork belly are thin cut which we really enjoyed. The meat was fresh and had good marbling on the beef. What was disappointing was the service. We had a hard time flagging down servers for grill changes and ordering--it seemed like the self serve bars resulted in less servers on the floor. Overall, it isn't the best KBBQ I've had especially at the high dinner price point ($38.99 per person) and I feel like the service and experience could definitely be improved. Also, the $0.99 beer for a Yelp review is only for 5 star reviews...

Yelp
I recently visited Sura Korean BBQ and tried their all-you-can-eat lunch option for $26.99, which is a great deal for the variety offered. You definitely get your money's worth at this price point. The hot food options stood out, particularly the chicken karaage and steamed egg, which were enjoyable. For sides, I tried the kimchi, cucumber, and macaroni salad--these were decent but nothing extraordinary. However, I found the marinades for the beef a bit underwhelming, lacking depth in flavor. The shrimp had a strange aftertaste, and the teriyaki chicken didn't taste much like teriyaki it was odd I was getting cinnamon flavors, which was a bit disappointing. On the bright side, the service was excellent. The staff was attentive and made sure everything ran smoothly. The restaurant itself looked clean and well-maintained, though the seating arrangement felt a little cramped. Overall, while there were some misses in flavor, Sura offers good value for the price. If you're looking for a budget-friendly KBBQ experience, it's worth a visit.

Yelp
Tried this place in our neighborhood for the first time...the lunch special $26/pp is the cheapest I've seen for Kbbq. The meat selection is pretty good, not an extensive list but you get your basic bulgogi marinated pork, chicken and beef. I like that other meats are not premarinated. I like the selection of banchan, the pickled radish and fishcake with tekbokki are my faves. Kids can enjoy fried gyoza and cheese and corn. The japchae tastes so good with generous black mushrooms. They also have the steamed ehg and tofu soup(spicy) The service was family friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is small but very bright and inviting.

Yelp
Most AYCE KBBQ spots are really similar at this point, with the main factors that most people will consider being quality of meat and/or price. What I was surprised about with Sura was the self-serve bar that contains some of your favorite starter meats like brisket and bulgogi, as well as other complimentary "bonchon" (appetizers/small plates) like kimchi, radish paper, and even rice, open to grab yourself. This was the most unique part of Sura in my experience, but honestly makes it worth the visit. There is also French fries, soft serve, and several other tasty appetizers if you are trying to prepare you bellies for the good stuff ;-) The more premium menus have the good stuff, as is the case at other all-you-can-eat-kbbq style spots. Various versions of steaks, beef tongue, seasoned meats, lobster, etc. We ordered from the premium menu which I believe was around $45 per person. It's a spacious area that I don't doubt will fill up more tables once more people find out about it. Enjoy a beer tower, try your luck with the 1 hour challenge, and come on your actual birthday for your meal comped! Will definitely come back!

Yelp
My friend and I came here after we were told there would be a long wait at another Korean BBQ restaurant. I think this became our new favorite. There was a great selection of food, a self-serve hot and cold bar for sides and more meats, and soft-serve ice cream. The staff was very attentive and kept our grill grate changed. Also, it wasn't super crowded, there was no wait on a Friday night, and the atmosphere was quite relaxed.

Really good ! Really clean , only thing is you are getting everything yourself including water but really nice people !

Yelp
First time here. We were so excited. Restaurant opens at 11:30 am, but the door was unlocked so we walked in. A young man rudely scolded us, "We're not open yet!" I politely replied, "Your door was unlocked, so we thought you were open already." "No," he pointed to the door, " you Ned to leave until we open." We nearly left, but we decided to hive it a try and give our review. This young man should've taught how to be more polite and gracious with customers. Other than that, the food was okay. We brought in a coupon that we received in the mail. It said valid for a minimum of two people. The same young man told us we could only use it for one person. Poor advertising. We will see if we will return or recommend this place to our friends and family.

Yelp
Great new kbbq spot in the area! A little on the pricier side but I think it's worth since you get unlimited soft drinks and ice cream for dessert. I like being able to grab the meat myself and the options for sides are also really good. My one complaint is that their corn cheese isn't the best :/ but overall a great place to come with the family!

Yelp
I recently visited Sura Korean BBQ, and I was pleasantly surprised. There was no long wait, which made starting off on a positive note! Parking was plentiful, which is always a plus. The atmosphere was fantastic, with a lively yet comfortable vibe. The staff was very attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed. I especially loved the self-serve setup--so convenient and fun! And having soda and ice cream included just adds to the experience. Overall, it was a great visit, and I'd definitely return!

Yelp
4.5 stars. Great experience, first timer here. I've been to other Korean bbqs but the concept of getting your own meat and sides is something I actually like. Everything tasted great. I'm a fan. Lunch is also less expensive than dinner but is still $27 per person. Definitely not a cheap option however, a great place to splurge. (Oh and no soft serve ice cream at lunch either. In case you care). There wasn't anything to write home about looking around the room. The place is clean, which I very much appreciate. The service was average. Not amazing, just good.

Yelp
First time here and pleasantly surprised and a little disappointed. I'm still here so doing this for the .99 beer with a yelp review. First the disappointment, parking is tough. We had to circle a few times before we found a space. 2nd mac salad is not great and I would prefer potatoe salad. What I did like, is the meat and side bar is a great idea. Lots to choose from and no waiting to be served. The meat selection was good and the quality seem fairly high. Service is good but I think for a newer place it could be improve. Especially the change of grill tops. I will definitely come back. Giving Sura a chance to get things flowing better....btw just wanted to be honest on my review. FYi you have to give 5 stars for the .99 beer:(

Yelp
Love the self serve bar, all the hot food is great and the self serve sauce is super convenient. The meat is great quality, will definitely be back!

Yelp
In the words of our former governator, I'll be back. Because it's a beautiful day in the ever booming Chula Vista neighborhood when KBBQ comes to town! The recent developments in the surrounding Millenia neighborhood are beautifully landscaped and inviting with room to grow - as will your belly after a hearty meal at Sura Korean BBQ! Here's my two cents after my 1st take... Food: Masarap! That means very delicious to you. For those of us who don't read Korean (or Tagalog) don't worry! The menu is clearly laid out by sections, and in English. Even better, at the self-service food bars everything is also labeled in English. Even more better, just about everything is self-service freeing up staff to help with your grill, order some soju, or those juicy premium meats. For $39.99 (Classic) you're welcome to the banchon (self-service side dishes), the meat bar, limited items from the kitchen, an endless fountain of soda, and self-serve soft-served ice cream. The Premium and Sura menu is also available for serious meat lovers. Either way you choose, I highly encourage you to pace yourself. Take it easy on the fillers, like soda and rice. There's no such thing as leftovers. KBBQ is about the experience. It's not a sprint - it's a meat marathon. Unless of course your friends nominate you for the 1 hour limit challenge! My personal favorites are forever kimchi, cucumber kimchi, japchae, tofu stew, bulgogi and pork belly. Service: On it! When we did need help, or more soju, an employee was just a polite hand wave away. Items were brought swiftly and even by robot trolly! Great work Sura Chula Vista team, and meat robot! Ambiance: Do I smell like beef? If you've ever been to a BBQ you expect to come out the other end smelling like it. Sura has some serious ventilation hoods over each grill that significantly decreases the smoke and meat fumes throughout the restaurant. At the time of my visit, the restaurant and bathrooms were inviting, clean, and tidy. The dining room comfortably sat a birthday party of 10 between two grills. In the not too distant future I would love to see development in the adjacent area for public parking, such as paving the nearby dirt lot. Until we, MEAT again. Thanks for the meaty meal Sura KBBQ Chula Vista!

Yelp
Coming from out of town I had asked my cousin if there's any good kbbq she had mentioned this places just opened and of course we were down to try. I tried to make reservations a few days before we had planned but either their website wasn't set up or there really wasn't any reservations available. We arrived a few mins before they opened there was already 2 parties ahead of us. Wasn't quite sure how to reserve as the one of the workers was in and out the restaurant asking how many was in people's party. Noticed that the waiting list was opened right when they did. We got helped after the first 2 parties. Party of 4 the gentleman who took us to our table took his time to explain the menu. We did the lunch menu $26.99/person. I thought it was great that everything was all you can eat and self serve: meat, sides and drinks. Ice cream didn't get served until 4pm. They had a great selection of meat at their meat bar. I really enjoyed the soy marinated top blade, the bulgogi and the soy marinated brisket. I also thoroughly enjoyed their side options there was so many to choose from they even have pancit but it was a bit salty for my taste. Overall everything tasted good. My kbbq cravings were definitely satisfied. The service was great and the restaurant was clean. I would definitely return when we're back in town.

Yelp
Came for lunch around 2pm with friends and waited about 10 minutes go be seated. The hostess was warm and friendly, and she came to our table quickly when we pressed the "call" button. Here you pickup your own meat and sides, and all you need to order is the steamed egg and I'm not too sure what the second side was. Everything looked clean and neat, and it was definitely worth the price.

Yelp
The concept is ingenious. Sura does self service KBBQ correctly. The menu and items are designed in a way that minimizes server interaction, and gives the freedom to the customer. The most popular meats & sides are at their service bar so you don't have to rely on waving a server down. The side bar items hold well, the sauces are plentiful, and the meat is pretty standard. Sadly, I left wishing servers were more attentive to their tables. I constantly had grills smoking next to me. I do understand that, that is the nature of marinated meats on a hot grill. That doesn't take away from their beautiful service attitude and friendliness. If I only had one problem the entire service and even then, I was nit-picky, then it brought it from an 11/10 to a 10/10, well done!

Yelp
Best KBBQ in San Diego! We drove 40+ minutes to come here for the grand opening because this place is owned by the guys who started Common Theory, and they did not disappoint. We came starved, and loved that we had instant gratification with a robust self service buffet of Banchan (Korean side dishes), noodles, rice, gyoza, tempura, etc. as well as a self-service meat bar of bulgogi, pork belly, teriyaki chicken, etc. In addition, we ordered from the Classic menu which included top blade, soy marinated thin pork belly (yum!), brisket, etc. as steamed egg and tofu stew. Everything was delicious! Our 9-year old also loved the self service fountain drinks. The soft serve machine unfortunately wasn't working tonight but hopefully will be next time we're here. This place has a nice ambiance, is clean, has friendly staff, and a nice mix of self service and order from menu so you'll never be hungry or be waiting for sauces or drinks. Bonus: they have their own free parking lot next door. Lastly, if you take the one hour challenge and finish your meal within an hour you get a scratch card for 5 to 50% off your next meal! We got 10%. Kudos to the owners for this great new spot! We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
I just want to say this is the best ever.. like ever!!! Had the best experience and I will recommend this place to everyone I know!

Yelp
Sura Korean BBQ is a fun experience to share w friends that can cook or you will be doing all the cooking:) ... service has been excellent during all visits here and ambiance can be loud depending on the day of the week and time you go... Server keeps replenishing your protein of choice in a timely manner... we were never without anything to grill :) Thank you Sura !

Yelp
3.5 stars but yelp doesnt give half stars. Parking is on a dirt lot & dusty. Came here right when they opened. There was a long line already. But we got a table right away. Since this was the first time for us to come here. We ordered the classic just in case food was disappointing. We ordered beef brisket, beef belly, soy marinated pork belly. They had 2 buffet stations. One section had the rice and appetizers like fried dumplings, chicken karage, katsu, etc. the other station has the kimchi, macaroni salad, garlic, jalapeno, veggies, and tortillas. YES, they have tortillas! Another side of the station had other meats like marinated pork, beef, et. Quality of the meet was just okay. It was not as tasty and tender as other KBBQ places I've been to. The soft tofu stew was not that great. Tofu was in one big clump. The egg soufflé was rubbery. It was also hard to enjoy the food because there were 3-4 flies flying around inside. Overall, not bad for the price. Would I go here again? Probably not unless friends invite me to meet them there. It's too far from where i live.

Yelp
10/10 highly recommend. They just opened and I'm very pleased on the service and quality of food/meats. I went with my family and we had a great time. Our server Michael was very attentive as well as everyone on staff. The ambiance is welcoming very modern and casual. Great vibes and music. Highly recommend if you're looking for a great Kbbq spot in Chula Vista.

Yelp
Had to try this place out since it's only a mile from our house. Went on a Thursday night and it was pretty busy! When we walked in we were greeted immediately by the owner (I think?) and he was very friendly. I noticed he was making his way to all the tables to ask how everything was which I thought was very nice. My husband and I were seated in under 5 mins. The atmosphere is great, I love the high ceilings and how spacious it is! It's bigger than the other few kbbq places in Chula Vista. It's on the pricier end, but what's nice is there's a soda AND ice cream machine which is unlimited. Normally, in other kbbq restairants, drinks are ~$3 at a time even with refills so we considered this for the price. I like how there are cold items and hot items that are buffet style! It reminded me of another LA kbbq spot that did that. It's nice to just get the sides and some other meats or sauces you need on your own. The meats were good, and the sides were just okay. I wasn't really a fan of the tofu soup compared to other places, but what is so unique is that they offer pho for the premium menu! Another con was that our table near the window was surrounded by so many flies that constantly went on our food :( the owner definitely noticed that and even apologized for it, but we know that's not their fault with the doors open and with many homeowners walking their dogs. Parking could get pretty difficult in busier times but looks like they made a makeshift parking on the dirt/grass field. Also, there is street parking if those lots get busy. Overwall, I'd say this is one of the better kbbq places in Chula Vista and I would definitely come back. Worth a try for sure!

Yelp
Excellent selection at the meat and appetizer bar! So easy to just get up for more meat. Great service too

Yelp
A buffet Korean BBQ where you can grab what and how much you want ! This is amazing. This is our 2nd time here and so much popularity gained since we first came the week after opening. Great job all around.

Jasmine S.

Yelp
26.99 all you can eat lunch buffet! Kids are half off. Such a great deal and all the options are amazing.

Yelp
Tried this place out shortly after hearing about its opening. It has a hot and cold bar where you can get it yourself, so points for that. The hot bar has standard kbbq appetizers and bonchon. The cold bar has marinated meats and cold bonchon. The only things you order from the server are unmarinated cuts and drinks. I'd come back here if I was in the area.

Yelp
We came in on a Saturday around 2:30 for lunch. It was not very busy inside, with plenty of seating. We added our name to the tablet and was told they would get a table ready. It took about 10 minutes for a table to be ready. Not an issue, but unexpected since it wasn't very busy. I grabbed some meats and put some brisket on the grill, it flared up a little and another person (employee) came over and started moving the meat around while another came running over with a bucket of salt and poured it over the grill. The first employee looked at the second and said "Really? It was fine". They then cleaned our grill and took the meats away since everything was ruined. I grabbed more meat, unfortunately since it was about time to switch over to the dinner menu, they did not restock meats until after 3pm so half the the meats were kinda empty. The quality of the meats were fine. Most had decent flavor. They offer many sauces you can add to your meats like garlic butter to add more flavor. The hot bar was also nice. I liked they had tempura veggies, chicken, rice, fried dumplings, fries, Korean meat patties and so much more. There really is something for everyone. I do wish they rotated some of it. They wait until the tray is about empty before they will add fresh food. Some of my items were very cold and fried items soggy. I appreciated the included soft drinks (Pepsi products), though I wish they had fresh iced tea. The service really needs some help. No one came to check on us. After about 40 minutes, we had to try to flag someone down for a grill change. Most BBQ restaurants pay attention to when grill changes are needed or at least come by and offer them. Overall the food is decent. Service to me is the biggest issue. There were at least 5 or 6 employees just walking around but they don't offer any help.

Yelp
Been to a good amount of kbbq and this place is great! What stands out is you can get your own side dishes and some of their meats at the meat bar. Drinks and ice cream are included which is nice too. Servers are polite and attentive. Definitely coming back here again!

Yelp
Good food, good service, good vibes and music, good to grab your own stuff, highly recommend, pricy but decent!! Mark was the best!
google avatar

Kristine M.

Yelp
The food was good. My favorites were the rib fingers and the Beef tongue. What's different is that they have a hot food bar and a self serve sauce and meat bar. The hot bar has things like vegetable tempura and japchae. The meat bar has spicy pork belly, and your basics like unmarinated brisket and beef belly. I have never been to a kbbq where u can get your own meat. I love that. I feel like you can save time this way. the service was fine and attentive. The only thing is that it can get a little crowded, but otherwise it's a great place.

Yelp
Tried their lunch menu which is a pretty good deal at $28.99. Lunch menu is strictly the meat buffet and unlimited sides so they don't serve any of the premium meats which is understandable given the price. Meat and seafood is pretty good for the lunch price. My gripe is with the brisket. It's frozen which is fine, but the cuts were off and a lot of the pieces had some really hard fat that wouldn't render when you grill it so it was hard to chew. I primarily come to KBBQ for brisket so that was disappointing. Least the beef belly was okay and their ban chan was really good except for their chicken karage. Service was actually really good and we had multiple people coming to check on us. The only issue I found was they kept the cleaning cart and old grill container near our table so all I smelled was cleaning supplies and burned metal. Might come back for their regular menu. Maybe it was just a bad first impression.

Yelp
Love this place and I'm glad we finally have a premium kbbq place in Chula Vista! There's a self serve bar for basic needs, sauce, and other sides Service is attentive! Go early! You won't regret going!

Yelp
Their lunch special is amazing! We love coming here during lunch time to enjoy the self-serve AYCE! Service is fast and efficient and the workers are friendly, we also love how modern the environment is, and convenient it is for us to go to!

Yelp
Love that there's a KBBQ place out in Otay! Came here to celebrate a family birthday. It's kind of tucked away in the apartment complexes, but love that it's central for all the residents. The parking lot is a bit strange as the turn in looks like the sidewalk, so be on the lookout so you don't miss it! The inside is huge with buffet lines for all your sides and additional proteins, and plenty of tables for seating. Staff were nice and attentive. The meats were delicious as well as the sides! Also loved that they had a soft serve machine. My biggest concerns were that the floors were kind of slippery/greasy on the inside of the booths and that there were quite a bit of flies flying around trying to land on stuff. If both of these items are addressed ASAP, it would improve the ambiance and make dining here more comfortable and enjoyable!

Yelp
Tried the new neighborhood KBBQ last night and I was quite impressed. Loved the mix of self serve banchan, hot appetizers and drinks combined with ordering premium meats/seafood. The service was excellent as soon as we arrived, the grill changes were done with ease and they made sure we had plenty to eat throughout our meal. I'm not usually a fan of AYCE but highly recommend trying this place out. The place was well maintained and great for families.

Yelp
Second review here. As always, amazing and friendly staff. Price value and quality of meats/bonchon is great to compared to most kbbqs. This is the reason why I'll come here than others. Thank you so much Sura!

Yelp
Wowza. I stop by here with my boyfriend to celebrate our 4th anniversary. It's cool that they have a cold food bar and hot food bar. So if you can grab all the food on the classic menu and as many side dishes and sauce as you want. Now all the meat in the premium menu and Sura menu will be bought by your server. Only 3 different meats can be order at 1 time. Our main server Chloe was hilarious and had a fun vibe. All the other staff were awesome and super attentive. Clean and spacious. There is a parking lot but most parking space is on the dirt lot. With 10-12 spaces on the pavement. So I recommend taking a car that you don't mind getting dirty. I will definitely stopping by again with family and friends.
