A southeast favorite for homestyle plates—galbi, sundubu, and dumpling soup—served with generous banchan. Recent travel-guide listings and reviews in 2024–2025 indicate it’s operating steadily and valued by the community.

We came here for lunch with our son, it was hands down the best Korean we've had. They were very polite and welcoming. We even had a few mishaps with our son and they were very helpful. Food was amazing and portions were generous. Will definitely come back! Highly recommend.

One of the best dishes I’ve had at a Korean restaurants. I ordered the Osam with the squid and it was great. The customer service was great!

Google
Some of the best beef bulgogi I've ever had, and the banchan was incredible. Excellent service, and an incredible value. Couldn't ask for more. Support this business!

Google
Best homemade feeling Korean food in the Springs! It looks like a hole in the wall few from the outside, but once you go in, the staff are kind and friendly. The owner lady takes a lot of pride and joy in serving high quality Korean food that comes out quickly. I had the Manduguk aka Dumpling Soup and it was very tasty. I definitely want to come back again. Fantastic first impression eat! ✨❤️✨

Stopped in one night because I didn't feel like venturing far from the hotel from dinner. Really glad I picked a hotel near this fantastic spot. Friendly, personal service and slap the table great food. It was so good I came back the next day for lunch.

Google
Fantastic place. One of the best Korean restaurants we have ever been to. A real gem. Great service, amazing food. We received our food quickly and the restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. Will definitely go again.

Google
One of the most enjoyable meals I have had in a long time! We were made to feel so welcome, and our server took the time to answer our questions about the menu. I hope to get there again!

Yelp
I ordered the Kimchi pancakes and they had so much flavor, I damn near ran out the restaurant to go and cry in my car. You can taste every seasoning in the pancake. Its soft, fluffy and crunch because of the kimchi. I also go the beef fried rice. I wasnt a fan of the lack of color in the dish but it was really good. They give you a full heaping of it too.

Yelp
I was excited to try this place, but disappointed when they said they don't have the tabletop grills anymore. A few folks left, but we took a risk and stayed. And honestly, it was worth it! The food here absolutely slaps! It's like visiting grandma's house, knowing she cooked your favorite meal--comforting, flavorful, and made with love. The meats were hot and sizzling, the banchan was fresh, and the whole vibe was homey. Not having to cook it was a win! Check this place out. Go hungry, bring friends, and be ready to leave full, happy, and still have leftovers. The ladies there were friendly and will take care of you!

Yelp
맞집. Very good food, the lady who served us is very nice. The markerel is very crunchy and delicious! Will come back as tourist next time!

Yelp
I was very hungry when I came to Colorado Springs to visit my cousin, but I didn't want to get too much food and I wanted something a bit healthier. I thought I wanted to get some Korean food and I was right. The portions were great because I got there at lunchtime and I didn't want too much and the service was a lot of fun because it was a lot of grandmas working at the restaurant . The ambience was nice and clean.

Andrea K.

Yelp
What a great place that you would never know how amazing the food and service is until you visit! Love the two sisters that run this place. I throughly enjoyed the food and took my coworker there the next day. Portions are huge and there are a lot of regulars. I can now attest to why. Try them out, you wouldn't be disappointed.

Yelp
Amazing and fresh! Super tasty. The place looks a little run down from the outside but don't let that discourage you from eating here. So good! Great customer service and they will explain the entire menu if you need. Quaint and quiet, casual setting.

Yelp
Everything was delicious! Customer service was great too. Very helpful with any questions we had on the dishes etc.

Yelp
A hidden gem! Was on the hunt for a dolsot bibimbap and boy did Sura deliver. Had great service and all around great food here. My friend and I both got chicken dolsot bibimbaps and they were great. Additionally we had the bolgogi gimbap which was very good. We also received banchan with our meal which was a pleasant surprise! The menu here is huge and had so many options; ranging from several different fried rices, KBBQ, soups and stews, and many other Korean favorites.

Yelp
We come here every time we visit C-Springs...Fresh delicious food, good service & prices are fair. Don't be fooled by the exterior!! Get inside!
google avatar

Yelp
The WORST! Very overpriced. I tried the combo fried rice. Beef morsels like shoe leather. I almost choked. I was served a big mound of no sauce rubber shrimp disgusting beef minimal chicken Dry as the Sahara No condiments. An shop fix

Yelp
Best place for food for your looking for authentic Korean food made by older Korean woman! Feels just like you walked into your mom's house

Tiffany A.

Yelp
Everything was great! It gave old school vibes and the service was unmatched. We even got free delicious veggie pancakes.
google avatar

Yelp
Great food and service! Cute little place in a small shopping area near our hotel and near the airport. We will be back!

Marie S.

Yelp
Great service, and very good authentic Korean food. The ambience is nice, quaint little restaurant, and clean. The restaurant's location is not the best, and the parking lot is rundown. However, the customer service and the food make up for this deficiency. I ordered the bulgogi and gimbap and both were very good. I will visit again!

Yelp
The service here was really nice. I'm an introvert but it seems like they get along with their customers very well and get to know them. She remembered a local, greeted him, and even remember his order. She gave us plenty of time to look over the menu and got us drinks quickly. We ended up ordering the bulgogi and tteokbokki (picture provided). If you go to Korean restaurants you know they give you nice side dishes to go with your meals. So we had plenty to eat. The bulgogi was absolutely delicious. It's in a nice sweet and savory sauce with onions, cabbage, and carrots. It didn't take too long after this photo for it to all be gone. The tteokbokki was amazing as well! The ambiance is nice, there are Korean TV shows playing while you are there. So if you aren't into that you can always take it to-go. But other than that the shows aren't very loud. My gf and I got to enjoy a nice meal and enjoy each others time! Definitely worth a try!!!!

Yelp
The food here was amazing! I got the Tofu Dolseot Bibimabab and it was amazing. The perfect vegetarian meal. The kimchi was amazing and the staff is very kind. Will definitely come back if I get the chance.

Yelp
Now this is authentic Korean food! The service is very welcoming! We've had the Kalbi, mackerel, beef bulgogi, chicken bulgolgi, and seafood pancake! All of it was delicious!

Yelp
Best Korean food Ive had in a long time. Super delicious, and the lady there is so nice and professional. The place was also spotless. Simply excellent experience.

Brandon S.

Yelp
Great portions, deliciously authentic Korean food at a reasonable price, and warm-welcoming service, the ambiance is nice and cozy too

Yelp
Best Korean spot here in the springs, the older woman who seems to run the place is very sweet.

Yelp
Absolutely authentic and delicious! All the grandmas cooking the dishes, so cute! Can't wait to go back. 10 stars.

Yelp
10/10 food, service, ambiance Will definitely be back ! My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed the food, it was so fresh

Yelp
First, ALMOST four star, but you can't give a 3.x rating. Near the Colorado Springs airport, we had had a Korean meal the day before, and wanted to repeat the great experience, but given the plethora of similar restaurants in this area, we opted to try Sura. Unfortunately, given the fact we'd had a similar meal the day before, it was hard to grade this one independently. The meal was very good, and the Korean complimentary sides were also tasty. But, given we were past the lunch crowd (there were only two parties and soon we were the only ones), you could tell that they were tired, but wanted to please. The meal was tasty, but seemed a bit thrown together. We also ran into the "they are eating lunch now" bit, so attentiveness was lowered. Still, we enjoyed the meal and would go back again, maybe deliberately when the place wasn't inbetween meals.

Yelp
The easiest way to tell if a Korean restaurant is any good in the United States, is simply by how many Korean people are eating in it. Fortunately for me I was directed to Sura Korean Restaurant. Quaint and small, tucked behind a 7-Eleven, you'll find this gem. My go-to is soondubu jiggae (silken tofu soup). The flavors were spot-on, bold and spicy. The banchan served was adequate. The kimbap portion is enormous, hence my leftovers. I would recommend anyone try this special piece of Colorado Springs.

Yelp
Didn't try the food, but we traveled from Woodland Park for the "cook at your table" as advertised on the website, and were informed that they haven't had that in two years, and will never come back. The place was clean and we were welcomed when we entered - three stars. Maybe update the website and Yelp?

Yelp
Sura Korean Restaurant serves delicious Korean Food. I visited with a group of 4 people, this was our first time trying this restaurant. We all ordered different entrees to experience multiple dishes. All dishes were outstanding and the Beef Bulgogi, Japchae, and side dishes were noteworthy. The restaurant appeared to be family run and the staff were very attentive and friendly. The ambiance was a bit old but the food and service more than made up for the decor. If you enjoy authentic Korean Food, you must try Sura Korean restaurant.

Yelp
We pretty much come here every time we're in the Springs. The Bulgogi is delicious and tender without too much sauce. The Pork Bulgogi has just the right amount of kick for my preference. During the COVID-19 stay at home orders, we got takeout and I asked for an extra side of fish cakes. We ended up with a like 3-4 extra servings! I'm not saying that will happen for you, but it was a nice addition to an already amazing dinner. On my most recent visit for takeout, the dining room was open.

Yelp
I waited more than 5 mins and had to go find an employee to be seated. The food took a while even though there was only one other customer and the food lacked flavor a lot. The quality of the meat seemed good at least. The waitress lady seemed like she didn't want to be there and we were a bother. The parking lot is very unkempt and needs a good amount of repairs. The prices increased yet again FYI even though it seemed like it was increased just a few months ago. Honestly, it should be 1 out of 10 stars restaurant rather than 1 out of 5 stars.
google avatar

Raj A.

Yelp
Doesn't look like much from the outside, but this is among the best Korean food we've eaten -- and we've lived in Korea. Price is right for this quality. Will definitely be back.
google avatar

Ashley L.

Yelp
My family and I love Korean food and have a pretty high standard because we've lived in Korea, and this place did not disappoint. It's a hole in the wall type place, and the food is fire. Packed with authentic flavor, portion sizes are generous, service was good and the price point isn't too bad. Took a star off because the do it yourself grill wasn't an available option. If you like Korean grub, highly recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing food and amazing service. Fish pancake was to die for. Our server was kind, attentive and helpful. We definitely will be returning to this little place.

Yelp
This is a hidden gem! Our family loves Korean food so we're always looking for new places to try. This place didn't disappoint. We ordered off the Korean BBQ dinner menu: L.A. Galbi ($25) which came with galbi, rice and 10 banchan (Korean side dishes). I think this order is meant for one person, but the entree size was so large it was enough to feed myself, my husband, and our little toddler. We just ordered an extra side of rice for good measure. My husband really liked the fresh kimchi that he asked for an additional serving. We also ordered the kimchi pancake, which came out sizzling on a hot plate. It was delicious. Service was fast, and the Korean lady who seemed to be running everything was very accommodating to our requests and made sure to check on us very often even though she was busy.

Yelp
They didn't think I could stuff myself from my toes to my nose. "You sure you want 6 rolls.? 8 piece each" dare challenge me with delicious sushi freshly made to order right in front of you. Challenge accepted. I love this place.!!
google avatar

Fred T.

Yelp
Over priced, food underwhelming. Better options in the springs for Korean Food, also they no longer do bbQ, that was even before Covid according to the waitress. Staff was great.

Yelp
I love discovering local, family-owned places that have great food. So, today was a good day! A former work colleague invited me to lunch today and randomly selected Sura because it is about 5 minutes from my office. So, first things first - you won't find the exterior all that impressive. It is the end unit in a run-down shopping center behind a 7-Eleven. But, don't let that stop you. When you go inside, it is bright and clean. We ordered bulgogi (beef) which comes with a cup of steamed white rice. The rice is sticky enough to eat with chopsticks, which is nice. The bulgogi was extremely good. Perfect seasoning/marinade. Before our food was served, we were brought six small bowls of different garnishes... three different types of kim-chi: zucchini, cucumber and traditional. Also, fish cakes, white radishes and yellow radishes. The service was good and the price is very, very reasonable. As we left, we bumped into the owner's husband in the parking lot. He's an Army vet (3rd ACR) and he thanked us for coming in and eating. He's a super nice guy and we chatted for a bit. This is a win-win situation: you will get great food and support a local business at the same time. Can't beat that!!

Marc G.

Yelp
Agree with all those who say this is a hidden away diamond in the rough. The food was delicious and well prepared. Service was great and unobtrusive. I will be back!
google avatar

Laure J.

Yelp
I went for lunch & ordered the galbi, ($15) beef bulgogi ($13) & fried dumplings ($9). The lunch prices are a little higher than what's listed on the photos here so that must be older. The food was authentic & delicious. I especially enjoyed the galbi. Definitely worth checking out.

Yelp
We live in the Chicagoland and have gone to many Korean restaurants including the ones in LA and Korea. This was surprisingly good. We had and pork squid combination, Yook Gae Jang, Soon Du Boo, Hae Mul Pajun, hot stone bibimbop, and deung jang jjigae. The pork and squid combination had a burnt taste which was surprisingly tasty. soft tofu soup only had tofu but the soup was distinct and delicious.
google avatar

Karina C.

Yelp
This place is in a location with not much around but once you see it, it's a small quiet little place. The staff is very friendly as I have found most Korean restaurants are. The food was good but not the best but I will say that I had leftovers and it was yummier when reheated. ‍ Overall it's good but not the best but the service was awesome. I'd come back just because of that.
google avatar

Bob B.

Yelp
Legit. Best Korean food I've had in the US and better than most places I've eaten in Korea. Great prices and good portions. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Yelp
In an almost abandoned strip mall this little gem looks like a massage parlor from the outside. Behind a 7/11 next to a weed store, Sura is a place you should seek out. Delicious authentic Korean food in a family like atmosphere. American idol played on the tv and I devoured my ribs and plethora of picked sides. I don't know what anything is called to recommend but I'll be back to try more. The solo woman working was cheery despite pushing her cart around filled with food as fast as she could. I think next time I'll partake in the devil's lettuce next door and then stuff myself silly. For those who aren't use to Korean food feel free to ask for more of the little sides if you like them. They're kinda like chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant.
google avatar

Jason K.

Yelp
This place is legit. Always a good sign to hear people speaking Korean with Korean TV on the wall. Food was excellent. Japchae was especially good. Service was super friendly and the wait times were reasonable.

Emily H.

Yelp
I moved to Colorado Springs for college and was worried I wouldn't find authentic Korean food here. YOU NEED TO TRY THIS PLACE! A lot of the reviews say the food is overpriced and not worth it, but I disagree! The portions are great and the ladies working are so nice. If you're looking for good Korean food in Colorado Springs, you NEED to try this place!
google avatar

Francis D.

Yelp
Enough said... Simply the best Authentic Korean Restaurant in the State. A must go to! Thank you!
google avatar

Marika F.

Yelp
This is the place to go if you want gigantic bowls of noodles. My husband's heart is happy here. He orders spicy seafood noodle soup and takes the leftover broth home to eat with rice--it's that good. Noodles with black bean sauce are such a Korean staple. It's a great introduction if you haven't tried much of the cuisine. You aren't going to get a large array of banchan here (those tiny dishes of little tasty morsels). This is a working person's restaurant. Get in, fill up, get back to the job. Oh, they have table barbecue, but no one partook when we've been there. The big bowls are the draw. I'd love to see this place expand so there is more seating and more room for larger parties. It appears to be a small family operation and they're working hard.

Scott G.

Yelp
Went in for an early dinner and no one was there to help. I stood around for a minute, walked to the hostess stand and sat down at a table. After 5 minutes I left

Yelp
I've been coming to Sura for years and am finally writing a review. This is one of my go-to Korean lunch spots and I tried take-out for the first time. My food was ready in 20 minutes and it was easy to place an order by phone. The Doenjang-jigae was delicious and a generous portion. I can be a harsh critic of this stew since I grew up with it and I can vouch for this one! I was very impressed by how much kimbap you get in one order. This is the most I've gotten compared to other restaurants! It is all authentic food done right. Their banchan is also solid and they have a nice variety. Sura is a no-frills restaurant with solid Korean food at comparable prices to the other local Korean restaurants. Give them a try!

Terri T.

Yelp
The best grilled short ribs I have had in a long time. The sizzling onion sauce base was perfect on my white rice. Wish I would have had room for an additional order of them. Side dishes were delicious also. Lunch special price and portion size are at the top of what I will spend for a lunch. Very satisfied and will come again.

Yelp
I was in town for 3 days and I was ridiculously craving Korean food and this place hit the spot. I ordered a dolsot bibimbap which was delicious to my delight. Since it was my first time in Colorado Springs, I didn't know what to expect in terms of the Korean food here, but Sura did a great job of satisfying. I was impressed to see that they also had the grills for Korean Barbecue. I also enjoyed their banchans (little dishes) that they had to offer. These were actually pretty good quality compared to some of the other Korean banchans I have had before. The tea was also a typical korean wheat tea which I thoroughly enjoyed.
