Surf Bagel Lewes

We went around 10a on a Friday in December. The signage about where to park and where to walk in is confusing. The parking lot is shared and half has asphalt while the back side has pebbles. We initially went to the wrong parking lot and, once inside, walked to the wrong counter because we had an online order. The staff were not friendly or managed properly. Even though we got a text that our food was ready, we waited 10 minutes for staff to get our order. It’s confusing where things are, like napkins and utensils, and staff seemed too overwhelmed to help. Our egg and cheese bagel had barely any egg. Our bagel with lox spread, tomato, and onion had regular cream cheese. We asked them to remake it and got a bagel with lox and too much cold, hard cream cheese. We also ordered the house salad with grilled chicken. The salad had too many purple onions and the chicken was shredded rotisserie meat with chunks of skin and brown meat - not a grilled chicken breast. The home fries were not homemade. We found it odd that there was no aroma of coffee like other bagel places. Still, this place does very well and had a steady stream of customers. There is no other competition for decent enough bagels in the area. We thought maybe management isn’t very good during the off season in December. We will not be back.

A must stop on the way to Delaware beaches. Just make sure you get there early before the crowds. Even if there are lines it’s still worth it!! This CB location recently got bigger and more staff to take your order. There’s even an app now to order ahead. Don’t forget the coffee which is delicious!! I normally get the Breakfast Burrito with egg whites and avocado!! My kids get a bagel with smoked salmon and lox’s! You will become a huge fan with one bite!!

Absolutely a must when in the area, their bagels are amazing, they have a great selection of different bagels and different combinations for your bagel. Everything is good. Their smoothies are amazing and the staff is great.

I’ve ordered bagels with pork roll egg n cheese via the toast app. It was available in 5 mins and as I pulled up it was ready. The team is always smiling.

Always make a stop here for coffee and bagels when I am in Delaware. They are delicious and my customers love when I drop them by!

Enjoyed ordering ahead and grabbing a delicious breakfast sandwich on the way into Rehoboth last year. Tried it again today this year and they are completely understaffed and underprepared for the crowds. I put in my order at 8:20a and it wasn’t ready until til 10a! Thankfully I had cancelled an hour prior already but if SB are that unprepared, they need to tell people and stop taking orders.

Grabbed breakfast for the family on a Friday morning and it was fairly busy around 9am. Great selection of bagel flavors along with some baked good options. They also had a selection of fresh brewed coffe, juices, and milk in a refrigerated case. We did have some issues with our order so I suggest checking it before leaving if you have a large order like we did.

I love bagels. Therefore, I stumbled upon this place while trying to find a good lunch meal. I am very grateful I did. My mom and I decided to stop by the Lewes location as a final stop for our vacation. Surf Bagel certainly did not fail to disappoint. Their bagels are perfectly baked New York style. I would highly recommend the Malibu Bunny to anyone who loves the taste of summer.
