Beautiful beach 🏖. Big assortment of stoles and stands selling everything from food 🥘 to arts to clothing. Fun Tuesday afternoon time. I highly recommend it. There are good restaurants and valet and paid parking.

Google
What a great experience. I live in Oregon and have only been once. I would love to return for this event again. This is a great event for shopping, eating, drinking and entertainment. The beach is on the same block for a beautiful stroll or even renting a bike for a ride along the paved bike/jogging trail.

I always love coming down here. Great music, cool local businesses, fresh produce, and super delicious food. There are only a few food stands here but there are so many other options on main St to choose from so I don't know why people are complaining. I love just coming down to walk around, people watch, and grab some fresh veggies. I'm down almost every Tuesday night

Jana Pilkington

Google
I give it 5 starts for these reasons: 1. Churros filled with caramel or sweet and condensed milk. The inside is warm and gooey while the outside stays crispy - it's a party in my mouth. 2. The Tamales! Although the pork is not my favorite, the others are Amazing!!! There is a good variety. Try them all. You will not be disappointed. 3. Street Tacos - double thumbs up. 4. Corn on the Cob does not disappoint. 5. A night with an amazing variety of food walking around to live bands. Happy people. Fresh produce. Great variety of food, desserts and entertainment. Love it!!!

I've lived here all my life, and seen the city grow and change. In ways I feel that downtown has disconnected from the local community in favor of catering to tourists, but then things like this pop up and the local vibe comes roaring back. It tends to be a lot of the same vendors each week, so it's not something you'll find much value in visiting all that often, but it'd definitely a fun way to spend the evening, and there is some good/cheap food on offer.

Google
What happened to this event?? It used to have all sorts of unique vendors and now it looks like a swap meet. I guess all good things come to an end. If you're looking for a good family environment on a Tuesday night, try Pacific City instead.

Beautiful Market lots of different things. I love the cold pressed juice it was delish Go brothers 🙌🏻

Yelp
I like their produce! Usually I buy vegetables which are large, reasonable, and last weeks in my fridge compared to days in the grocery store! I grab a slider at Burt's, walk to the cinnamon almonds for dessert, and every so often buy the eggs. Say hi when you get the fruit.

Yelp
Visiting Surf City Nights is one of my favorite Huntington Beach outings. This downtown farmers market happens every Tuesday. The street fills up with up unique businesses from all over Southern California. You'll find vendors selling products like sea moss, veggies, fresh tea, pet treats, baked goods, fruits and nuts, etc. There's also several food vendors on-site serving everything from dumplings to empanadas. It's hard not to spend all your money here! Some of my favorite items I've grabbed include the turmeric honey, the pistachio chai tea mix, and a variety of the dried fruit. Each of these items helps make my week more exciting while working from home. There's also a variety of live artists placed throughout the street. I've always been floored by the family-run rock band that plays 70s, 80s, and 90s tribute songs. Overall a great way to spend your Tuesday and stock up on some unique goodies for the week ahead!

Yelp
This is a super fun farmers market on Tuesday nights with lots of music and food!! Our favorite Mylk vendor is here so we are so happy!! Dogs are welcome here too. It is on PCH and 2nd street and we parked 2 blocks away so we got our steps in!!

Yelp
The revamped beach weekend street market is held at the Huntington Beach Pier Plaza every Friday from 10am -6pm, but also some weekends. Check the website for the full schedule. The tents are all set up just above the steps that lead down to the beach. There are lots & lots of venders and all of them are small business, local and family owned. I love coming out and supporting these events. The must buy for today was the all natural, organic and plant based skin care products by Caliblum. Owned & operated out of OC. Just a sample of the lotion and face serum is all I needed to know that this is a superior product. My favorite was the coffee face serum which has Coffea Arabica Silverskin Extract. The best deals are gonna be in person at the fair, but they do sell online. I already know, this is gonna become my day & night regimen from now on!

Yelp
Great street fair and farmers market on Tuesday nights in HB, so if you're in the area definitely stop by. Live music Some of the local shops have Sidewalk sales. Some of the restaurants have deals for locals too. And the best way to end the night is at the pier at sunset
google avatar

Madeleine L.

Yelp
Not a bad outing overall. Some live music. Lots of dogs. Also lots of tasty items. Worth a stroll.

Yelp
This occurs weekly only on Tuesday nights across from the Huntington Beach pier. Park in one of the lots along the shore. The lot right next to Duke's restaurant is probably most convenient and open until 10pm weekdays. There's multiple snack food, dessert vendors, a few fruit stands, and mostly retail clothing tents setup regularly. Live music also plays in the central square/intersection near Olive and Main St. It's nice to walk around the stores and restaurants, then later stroll onto the pier or beach after eating dinner.
google avatar

Yelp
It's always a good time walking up and down Main St., looking at all the vendors not only for vegetables, and fruit, but also for products and service. There is also live music from local bands and singers.

Yelp
Story: Finished my first week of grad school! So I wanted to celebrate it with good company at a place with good vibes. So what could've been better than Main Street Huntington Beach? Surf City Nights! A more family friendly-esque environment with different things for you to enjoy (Food, music, art and more)! Ambiance: Live Entertainment -You'll probably run into 3 to 4 different local artists down the strip. The music varies from line dancing, acoustic renditions, ska, and etc. -Occasionally you'll see crazy balloon makers, bubble castors, and all that jazz. Food -You'll see vendors all over the places selling food, drinks, and there's a farmer's market too. So the world is your oyster. Enjoy! Vendors -Some will be selling groceries, others food, and art. They're all pretty affordable or simply just to window shop Overall: I give this place a 4.5. I've always had good vibes every time I came here. If you're in need of a setting to set a fun and friendly tone then this is your place. You're close to the beach, you're surrounded by good people (you'll get your occasional drunks but not too many), have access to various food, an it's affordable. I highly recommend to check out. Advice: -Park at 200 Main Street -Come early to beat traffic also people start wrapping things up around 9pm.

Yelp
Great place to walk around and enjoy the ocean breeze with family and friends. It is held every Tuesday evening until 9 PM year round. My friends and I parked over at Pacific City and walked over (under 5 minute walk). There are lots of fair food vendors with your basic hot dogs, pupusas, popcorns, etc. There are also vendors selling arts and crafts, clothes, etc. Lots of live entertainment and music scattered along the street. Highlights were $1 mini succulents, cooling looking arts to hang up in your home, and $1.25 tacos (line was pretty long though). If you're bored on a Tuesday and are in the area, swing by and check this out!

Yelp
My family and I have lived in HB for 7 years and we had yet to try out Surf City Nights, held every Tuesday on Main Street and PCH. Two reasons, really.....my son and I have Boy Scout meetings every Tuesday, but the schedule Gods granted us a 5th Tuesday this month, meaning we had the night free for the 1st time in ages. Also, we are not really "Main Street" kind of people. The place tends to get bogged down with the beach version of 909-ers. I've seen far too many street fights, teenagers hurling, empty Red Bull cans, and enough bad looking tattoos to make me ill. Surf City Nights was advertised as family friendly, local, home town fun and we looked forward to checking it out. All in all, we had a pretty good time. Parking was pretty easy but it did cost us $8. We had a great dinner at Avila's El Ranchito with a curbside table after a short wait. The booths were pretty cool and offered a few pretty cool gift ideas and such.... like the soap on a stick (keep your mind outta the gutter folks) unique quilts, cheap produce and to go menu items from some local restaurants. The street acts were right up my kids alley, cheap and harmless fun. Lots of cops around to keep the place tame, and the summer crowd was pretty mellow. Really cool people watching. We also saw tons of familiar faces. Howdy neighbors...... We will definitely be back on one of those elusive 5th Tuesdays.

Yelp
After a disgusting experience at a place claiming to serve Hawaiian style food, I ended up at Downtown Huntington Beach for Surf City Nights. It's been probably almost a year since I last hung out here on a Tuesday night and not much has changed. Kids. Families. Music. Food. Booths with everything from veggies to jewelry and these days, furniture. Jumpers for the little ones and a police presence to keep the peace. Not a bad way to walk off dinner and pick up some healthy free samples. Only thing is parking sucks unless you don't mind paying. But everyone knows parking sucks in Huntington Beach.

Yelp
Well, you know what Main Street in HB by the pier looks like on the weekends, right? Busy as f**k, crowded, zero parking, and every screaming kid that was ever born is there with their parents. Surf City Nights is like that, but on crack. Everything described above is exponentially magnified. And you'd think that was a terrible thing, but it's really not so bad, for a little while at least. Food vendors, in the so called food court, are the reason you should check this out. Peruvian Empanadas and papas rellenas, Salvadorean pupusas, Asian fusion food, fries with stuff piled high on them - these are the reasons to show up, stuff yourself, tolerate bad music and people's BO, and then hightail it outta there. You're welcome.

Yelp
This is the largest farmer's market I've been to. There are a lot of vendors. They even have a little petting zoo and jumpers for kids to play at. They have your typical farmer's market food vendors, such as bacon wrapped hot dogs, tacos, burritos, tamales, pupusas and roasted corn. I've tried the pupusas and it's really good. The tamales are good too, but I've had better at another farmer's market. The roasted corn was ok. The freshly cooked roasted cinnamon and vanilla glazed nuts is really delicious. Overall, this is a cool spot to hang out and unwind on a Tuesday summer night.

Yelp
I saved my 100th review of the Yelp 100 Challenge 2013 for a place that everyone should visit. Huntington Beach on Tuesday evenings! It's one of the things that keeps HB so charming, in spite of the gazillion residents! It's geared for locals(many downtown merchants offer locals discounts on Tuesday nights - just ask. Especially restaurants) , and it goes all year round. Of course, tourism hits it hard and it gets crazy crowded in the busy season. It's a farmers market, a kids zone, a vendor fair, and a hang out spot all at once. Well policed, for the crazy party crowd, and family friendly at the same time as party central. Everyone seems to know where to hang out. Lots of stuff to eat, come hungry. The kids love candied nuts, and the fair foods.I love the fresh berries, and produce. Lots of dogs on leashes, so bring Rover, if he is well behaved. And street musicians will fill the air with festive joy. It's a nice walk on Main for several blocks - and no traffic or parked cars to maneuver around, so meander at leisure. People watching is part of the charm. It's from 5-9pm. Every Tuesday. See you soon, neighbors!

Yelp
Not gonna lie, this was an accidental stumble and find. Have you ever been to an Asian Night Market?? Well excuse me but heck I didn't know downtown HB was into this good stuff too! It's pretty much all you think it is: food, vendors, groceries, loud chatters, street performances, and TONS of fun. Best part? DOG FRIENDLY! WIN!! Parking is obviously a big pain but there are at least 3 parking structures within the vicinity that I'm aware of. So skip the meters and go straight to the structures so you can get your night started. ENJOY!
google avatar

Odie O.

Yelp
Busy yet not unbearably crowded lots of different vendors great bread and bakery items roasted corn and mini donuts had the longest lines music art petting zoo with pony rides too
google avatar

Yelp
Tuesday night this is the place to be in Huntington Beach! Street closure on Main Street, all the way up to 4th Street. Singers at each end of the outdoor market. I guess my favorite is the small mobile petting zoo, baby piggy and goats squealing. Plenty of fresh veggie, and fruits for sale by local vendors. Plenty of samples..I thought I was at Costco! Since it's on Tuesday-find the vendor with the tacos for $1.00, they were delish! Great way to spend a Tuesday night, the full moon and the clouds hovering around made it kinda creepy though!
google avatar

Yelp
This is a pretty cool weekly (Tuesdays 5:00-9:00) community get together, with lots of fresh produce and food booths. Food runs the gamut from BBQ to crepes. There's many street musicians, also running a wide spectrum from a classical pianist to a Didgeridoo player (see pic). If you have never heard a Didgeridoo being played this guy's name is Trevor Green, look him up on you tube. Its an Australian instrument that makes quite an eerily mystical sound. Summers coming, so step away from the computer and check it out some Tuesday evening. A huge plus is that most of the nearby bars/restaurants have some great deals too, e.g. Black Bull has 1/2 off their appetizers and drink specials all day/night.
google avatar

Laura R.

Yelp
Eye Candy. Didgeridoo. Cops. Cheap Specials at most Bars. Main Street's closed of for this. Parking is even worse than usual. More eye candy. More cops. Handmade Jewelry. Cops. The later it gets, the more drunks you see. Farmers Market type fruits and veggies. Eye candy. Cops. Watch my head with your surfboard, bro. Eye candy. Cops. Every Tuesday 5-9 in good ol DTHB.

Yelp
Surprisingly better than expected. My bf and I stumbled upon this today. It offers entertainment, food, shopping, and produce. Food: the Pupusas were good. They were soft, doughy, with a tortilla flavor filled with melted cheese and pork. Good comfort food. We went back and ordered seconds. We also got filled churros that were made on the spot. I thought the churro was good but the filling wasn't my favorite. Entertainment: there is a random petting zoo? with chickens, geese, goats, pigs, and a tortoise. There are few bands playing which gets everyone dancing. A lot of people bring their dogs even tho there is a no pets allowed sign. Nice surprise for a Tuesday evening.

Yelp
200th review, yay! The Main Street (pause) Street Fair encompasses everything I love and hate about Huntington Beach. Love for the beautiful weather, the availability of fresh local fruits and vegetables. Pure, unadulterated hatred for "bros", their ho's, punxxx from HBHS. Meh. A couple friends and I visit each week for approx. 7 minutes to get vanilla and cinnamon roasted pecans from Totally Nutz, located at the very end of Main right between HSS/Jack's. They are so delicious and absolutely addicting. $4 for a small bag and $7 for a large, you can get a mix (almonds and cashews also available) but I stay true to my pecans. They also have bags of roasted peanuts, 2 for $5. Then there's the Hat Lady. You can't miss her, she's the lady with hats. I have around 3-4 beanies/flap caps all made by her, and they are great and very reasonably priced, starting at $10. I have a big head and I could never find a hat that fit the way I wanted it to until I found her. Summary: -Tons and tons of fresh produce. Sample some berries! -Lots of food vendors in addition to the regular bars/grills/cantinas. Baked goods, tamales, mediterranean sides, BBQ, etc. Don't forget it's Tuesday-- Taco Tuesday!! -Everything for the family for sale: beach cruisers, dog beds, dresses you can wear several ways, jewelry, quilts/800-thread count sheets, supposedly eco-friendly stuff Little kids would get a kick out of the Bubble Man and the giant inflatable slide/jumpers. There's also a guy walking around dressed like a pirate. Minus one star because the barbecue I'm smelling isn't Smokin' Mo's. :(

Yelp
TUESDAYS!!!! The only guaranteed day off with my boyfriend, so you can imagine I would stay as far away from downtown as possible in fear that they might snag me into work....HOWEVER, the excuse of my mom being in here and hitting the town drunk, somehow I knew I was safe.... This was so refreshing, knowing what was here for years I never felt the need to check it out (mostly because I see the birds eye view, bro hoes, skanky 16 year olds, bad tattoos and stilettos) ....I should have slapped myself there because it was beyond worth it! My mom had a blast watching the great live band, eating corn on the cob, walking the pier, oohhing and ahhhing all of the touristy nick-knacks and even buying a power braclet. Well I guess this was HB's way of yelling at me for not playing "tourist" before...it was fun and as long as you look at it through glazed vodka redbull eyes I know you will agree.
google avatar

Tammy K. F.

Yelp
Not to be missed if you are in Huntington Beach on a Tuesday night. Amazing food choices, fruit and veggie stands, sidewalk sales and live music all around. The roasted corn was so sweet and the mini donuts were a dozen for 5.00 and they had 6 different ways you can order them!
google avatar

Clint W.

Yelp
this was going on a block from the hotel and it was a much bigger event than i imagined. i thought it would be a little thing, but it extended over several blocks. there was some live music...sort of. a bit of a farmer's market was going on and i almost bought some fruit for breakfast the next morning. they were selling some monster strawberries that looked mighty tasty. the usual trinket and gadgets were being sold as well. we took a quick walk through and if i didn't have to head back to the hotel to crank up the laptop, i would have liked to wander around a bit more.
google avatar

Matt G.

Yelp
Great place to be at on a Tuesday! Large crowed with great vendors. Entertainment is awesome! Cosmic Reaction Band just check them out they are a must see!

Anthony Z.

Yelp
What an amazing and vibrant night/farmers market. And my girlfriend and I enjoyed the wide selection of fresh berries and stone fruits that were in season, then got some delicious Maine lobster tacos and the most amazing corn on the cob. Afterwards we listen to some really talented musicians and then walked right across the street to the pier to enjoy sunset. Finally, we got a beautiful orchid plants, set on the best beef jerky I have ever tasted, and some new superfood almond butter that was mixed with figs. And I also really like that even though all of Main Street was closed off to cars, all the restaurants and bars were still open and so were the shops and boutiques. Whether it be for a date or with family and friends, I would highly recommend anyone come visit this night market for a wonderful time.
google avatar

Mary N.

Yelp
parking is difficult the vendors are just so-so if you're interested in the Farmers Market i would catch them another day in another city many of the vendors are the same and there is usually much more parking available.

Yelp
I love walking down on a Tuesday night. We're always running into friends. There are food stand, fruit stands, stands that sell things you didn't know you needed. Entertainment acts. Guys walking as characters from Pirates of the Caribbean. Basically a regular street fair. Remember to bring cash as most places only take the green stuff. There is an ATM inside the liquor store on Main or a BofA ATM on PCH by the Chophouse. This Tues, because we forgot cash we ended up just eating at Wahoos. There are tables set up to eat at by the food tents but crashing on the curb is just as good. As we were eating our Wahoo tacos we realized it was very bland. That's a whole other review though. So the Hubby walked over to FRENCH KISS CAFE. He asked for some salt. They actually gave him their salt shaker, told him to use as much as needed and bring it back when he was done. They get 5 stars just for service. Then we saw the PUPUSERIA tent. Man we're a sucker for a good pupusa. We still ended up at BofA getting money just so we could have one. We order the pork and bean pupusa. YUM. Love the cabbage mixture. I'd say it gets a 3.5 star. A friend ordered a hot dog from the TROPICAL ISLANDS stand. He said it was a "Great" hot dog. A favorite though is the TACO tent. $1 tacos. You'll see why the lines are so long. The grilled corn is great too. Just remember your cash!

Yelp
Good farmers market..... just what's up with all of the cops??? Not that it's a bad thing, but, do they really need to be walking into the bars and checking things out? Stay outside and patrol for things you need to patrol for!! Other than that, fun family evening out with lots to see and do.
google avatar

Wayne G.

Yelp
Good farmers market and you cannot beat street tacos for $1.00. The trick is go to the market as things are starting to wind down.
google avatar

Minka H.

Yelp
I really enjoy this fabulous street fair! There's always something new to see. I really like the fresh fruits, veggies and yummy treats!
google avatar

K S.

Yelp
what's better than a farmers market? a farmers market on the beach. it's not a big event but there was still plenty to look at and the regular shops were open to look at as well. it's good for dates, families or going alone.
google avatar

Jamei J.

Yelp
Love, love, love surf city nights. As other posters have mentioned, it's every Tuesday afternoon on Main St in HB. It's so much better than your average farmer's market b/c it has live music, food from diff. cultures, and vendors from all over. My favorite are the pupusas (sp?) which is a tasty snack from Central America. If you are looking for something fun and cheap to do, definitely check it out.

Vanessa M.

Yelp
Lots of good options for fresh produce and unique jewelry. It's a good vibe except they always have the same bands playing here or similar sounding bands and I don't think they pay them either. It feels like HB doesn't value the arts. Long Beach pays well. I strongly suggest more musical variety be included and quality bands. If you're willing to pay, better musicians will be drawn here.
google avatar

Joe S.

Yelp
I might be a bit biased because i live so close by and i love HB, but Surf City Nights is just awesome. One of the best things about this night is that it's also Taco Tuesday everywhere on Main Street. The food vendors on Tuesday are so so so delicious. I also love getting the fresh fruit there...i always get this fruit, that is never anywhere else called a pluot....i think it's a cross between a plum and a apricot...i don't know, but they sell it here and it's delicious. The weather is almost always excellent....there is tons of stuff to do for all ages...it's simply great...great great farmer's market
google avatar

Patricia O.

Yelp
Beautiful atmosphere, Beautiful weather, very friendly vendors and lot of different choices. Will definitely go back.
google avatar

Rockie B.

Yelp
Great adventure! Please go and experience yourself. OMG, try the assortment of hot nuts there, they taste just like the ones the street vendors sell in the NYC, love love them. Also, try Rusty Chips if there still there, kettled-style goodness. Did a little tourist shopping so yes I overpaid on some stuff but overall enjoyed the vibe and scenery.

Jamey M.

Yelp
Very cool atmosphere with great products for sale, yummy food and awesome entertainment. Make sure you watch the guy who rides a 12 foot unicycle! He's funny and has amazing skills. The bacon wrapped hotdogs are also not to be missed.
