Surguru Spot Restaurant

This is one of the best restaurants in town to try South Indian cuisines. Tried their Surguru Supreme thali. It had almost 12 to 13 items in small portions. Each with its own rich ingredients and flavours. It’s a must try! Also Rose milk to quench the thirst.

Visited the place again after 5 years, well maintained. Idli, pongal, idiyappam, poori & coffee all were good, items were served within minutes. Upgrading rating from 4 stars to 5 stars!

Friendly and helpful staff, explained what gravies came with our thalis. Food was tasty and it kept coming with rice and a Lassi at the end. Every table was filled with locals and tourists.

Service was very poor. They are not giving priority to all equally Had to wait more than 15 minutes to take order. And another 25 minutes for delivery. Thali meals was good. But Paratha was very small but price very high. It was actually the size of a coin Paratha only. Adn black tea very costly

Food taste was good. But the only problem was we had to ask for extra chutney and Sambar many times and 2nd time the waiter said we will need to pay for extra sambar. The restaurant is clean and tidy. Overall, good for food.

The food in Surugu is amazing. They have a lot of cusines, north, south, Chinese. The place is really recommended for vegetarians. There could be some waiting time, it was crowded. We had aapam with stew, ghee roast, rose milk and kothu parotta. The aapam could have been better since I found the dosa flat and had not risen much. Everything else right from dosa, chutneys, kothu parotta were really nice.

People, don’t ever buy paneer related food over there. They are using analogue paneer which means it’s a fake one made out of vegetable oil and starch which is highly bad for our Hygiene. It’s such a ridiculous activity done by them by charging so much for the food and providing fake paneers. Previously they have earned good name for the genuine practice. But now days it’s has become one of the unhygienic local restaurants due to their greediness.

The food was authentic and delicious. It's very hard to find food like this anywhere. I am fairly impressed. The waiters were also very helpful and patient. I would 10/10 recommend coming here for breakfast after visiting the famous temple nearby. It gives you a sense of fullness.
